Codec problems and neat pack

So, went about setting up the video today on the new machine.  Grabbed the k-lite.  Loaded up my collection of AMVs and went testing...

a good chunk didn't play.  Mostly xvid stuff.  I shrugged and went and downloaded divx and an xvid codec.  No good, but gspot said I was fine.  Appeared to be a winamp issue, so I reinstalled that.  Still no good.  At random I start googling things and come across: http://www.kickassanime.org/wiki/index.php?title=Compack#Latest_CCCP_.28aka._Download_Here.21.29

Uninstalled the stuff and tried it out...now everything works.  Figured  I should toss it up here for others.  It's got some neat things on that page anyhow as regards checking out what is installed easily.
