Discuss the series here.

Sincerely,

It looks interesting so far.

The art is of good quality, and though it's only been one episode, the story seems to tickle the mind more than say -- .hack//Twilight and .hack//Liminality -- and resembles in "flavor" .hack//Sign, I think.
Liddo-kun: Bjorn is the rain gutter in which all the dirty thoughts of humanity flow into?
Bjorn: I prefer, instead, to think of myself as the crap that blocks the rain gutters, causing the dirty thoughts of humanity to back up, fill the streets, and flood your basements.

Dracos

Mmm, any other thoughts on this comparisons to hack//sign or hack//twilight?  Not watched anything in this series in a while.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Liddo-kun

.hack//Twilight was really campy and came across as being really light/fluffy -- right down to the art itself.  The character design made them look cherubic and child-like with big anime eyes that tempts you to poke it with a sharp pointy stick.

It also lacked the moody seriousness that was present in .hack//Sign, which bugged me some.  The fact that some people referred to .hack//Twilight by the cute moniker of .hack//Incest might say something as well, I suppose.

SHINGOOOOOOOOOOO~!

RENAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~!

PELVIC FUSION DANCE!!

It was .hack//chibiincest, as I recall.

But i was more pushing for compare/contrast with Roots.

Hmm.  Instead of a compare/contrast, how's about a short intro summary instead, which is easier for me?

.hack//Roots is based around the main character who goes by the name of Haseo, who is a double blade wielder of n00b capacity.  He joins the famous game -- The World -- because he had friends who told him he should try it out.  So like the pure individualist he is, he hops straight to conforming and logs in.  But it's not very far into his adventuring when he gets his rookie ass PK'd by more... "enthusiastic and fun loving" players.

In the thralls of "wtf?!? I is died!!11" he is saved by a mysterious badass character (a requsite for all series) who is on a quest to find the "Key of Twilight" and sees Haseo as some necessary component in his quest.

Damn, I can't wait for episode 14. Too much drama and tragedy at the end of 13.

And seriously, we only got to see Shino in one episode in her black outfit. Hotcha.
