I have a dream that one day, men will be punched in the face not for the color of their skin, but for the awful content of their character.

"Hah, come here.  It's a tribal favorite."  He gestured to jars next to mugs which the villagers were alternating filling up.  They were spread liberally around the foodstuffs which were circled about the fire.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

The negotiator followed, serving himself to the food, and a bit of alcohol. It wouldn't do to get plastered on the job, afterall. He looked over the crowd as he tried some of the local delicacies.

Mary takes a mug and some handy food, following after them.

"I need 'ta make ya some trail stew and chili one day.. Some trail coffee, too. It'll stand a horseshoe straight up and rip the paint right off'a the walls."
This is not the greatest post in the world, no... this is just a tribute.

Felix joins the others as he spots them near the food area, smiling. "Fun party, right?" he comments towards Jan and Mary before looking around. "And where's Leets out at so far? Haven't seen the kid for a while."

At that particular moment, Leets was seated near the center of the festival, watching the villagers' song and dance with avid interest, while absently nursing a drink in hand.

Olvelsper

"Leets is good at vanishing when he wants to. Don't worry, he'll turn up eventually." The negotiator finished grabbing what he wanted.

Turning to Mary, he shrugged. "Maybe you can persuade some of the locals to let you make some at the last minute for this party? It's been a while since I've had some chile myself."

Mary shrugs.

"Eh, I don't think they'll have what I need on hand.. I'll pick what I need up as I go.. Mayby I can scrounge up some."

"Never hurts to ask. Maybe they have the equalvalents in these parts."

The alcohol here is pretty fierce stuff, but the drinks are tasty.

With all the celebrating, it takes them a bit though to notice the ground rumbling beneath their feet...a few villagers falling down during one stronger one.  A grim chill flows through the air as the moon seems to vanish in the sky, darkness flowing over it.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Olvelsper

'Now I'm really glad I didn't drink myself stupid.' The negotiator swiftly rose up from his seat, slamming his hands on the table to help him as the chair rattled to the ground behind him.

He quickly slung the pack with Pandora's Box over his shoulder as he helped a nearby person up, eyes moving from side to side suspiciously.

The villagers quickly ended their celebration.

"What is this?"

"Demons?"  "Ghosts?"

"The spirits are angry!"

A larger tremor sent everyone off their feet once more, the bon fire nearly going out in the shivering of the land.

An old hand helped Jan up. "Look up." Fizban sharply ordered, pointing towards the mountain top where darkness was seeming to erupt, the sky visibly darker there than anywhere else.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Shukuen

"Any clue on what's going on?" Leets said, seeming popping up by the group's side some moments after the tremors started. The teen's stance was unsteady, as he was apparently nursing his side - possibly having landed badly when the first tremor started.

Merc

"No idea," Felix replies with a frown before he follows Fizban's pointing, trying to make out the source of the disturbance.

It looked almost like a dark volcanic eruption, heading high into the skies above from somewhere up in the mountains.

Dracos
Well, Goodbye.

Shukuen

"Jan, would that happen to be the tear in reality you mentioned seeing up there with Kimba?" Leets asked warily, eyeing the darkening skies.
