Watched all 12 episodes.

A comedy series about six girls, which on the surface sounds  a bit like Azumanga Daioh, but definitly is not. HSG has it's own brand of humor, sometimes being more realistic, while other times being more absurd.

The story opens with three friends, Eriko, Yuna, and Ayano tranfering to an all girls high school where they encounter another group of girls from that school, Kouda Ogawa and Himeji. After a few sparks fly over a misunderstanding, the groups become friends and start having misadventures in life.

Some of the smiliarties to Azumanga: There's no real overall plot. it's just the characters making it through life. It's humor oriented, and each character has a time to shine.

While the characters are a bit cliche in design, only Ogawa comes across as a characture. In fact, despite the fact it seems Eriko will be the central character in the first episode, actually the episodes are spread evenly around. Ayano's family is a definite treat, though they don't pop up until the end.

There's a lot of fanservice in this, but little in the way of actual nudity. Lots of sexual innuendo, but most of the interactions with males are humorous. The style of comedy used really worked for me and I saw each episode right after I downloaded it. Artwork was good, I enjoyed the music, and character designs were easy to understand.

I recommend this. 7 out of 10. While Azumanga was better, this is still good enough to stand of its own and has a rewatchability factor, though only after a bit of time has passed.
