I'm liking this show QUITE some.  The storytelling is definitely out of the norm, some folks could call it obtuse but I find it intriguing.  There's tons of detail all around, including plenty of subtle hints that Something Was Afoot in the first two episodes (and some not subtle at all, coughtalkingcatcough), so the twist didn't really surprise me.  As long as they can keep up the comedy with the story, I'm down with it.

(And if this is what we can expect for the Kanon remake in the fall?  GLEE.)

From what I've heard Kyo-Ani plans on involving their entire staff in the production of their version of "Kanon". If the promo is any indication the odds are it will be even better looking than the series this thread is dedicated to.

Anyways enough about "Kanon"! This thread is not for discussion of that series afterall. With that in mind...

Baka-Tsuki Translation Project is currently working on translating the novels. How far they'll get is a question only the future can answer.

Regardless some is better than none. Check out their work. ^^

I just watched the first five episodes. Allow me to say this; holy shit. This is the sort of muddied mess you'd expect from a low grade anime, except it's being done skillfully by a very competent production company. It's both offputting and massively alluring at once, a heady brew that I love.

I'm not sure what to make of the few hints that Haruhi 'likes' girls as well, if you follow what I mean. Not sure if that's serious or just playing up the genre, since a few of the times have been, ah, cough worthy.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Last episode just aired last night. For anyone who was putting it off until the full series was out so they could watch it in chronological order, it is now getting dangerously close to Go Time.
