"Well, then, you must let me and my friends pass," states Tchaener. "I have it on good authority that shiny things are beyond, and we could retrieve them for you!

"We know of foul sorcerers, you see, guarding the shiniest of shinies!"

"You know about the foul ones beyond?" Hector yips in surprise, hand going to the handle of his short sword.   "There's supposed to be a reallyb ig shiny past them!"

"Okay!" Hector nods at last, motioning! THe kobolds scurry aside, opening the path ahead for the party. "It had better be a biiiig shiny!"

Tchaener waves his companions through the village, back up to the door just before the crazy magely men.

Aesop nods and carries through the village following Tchaener and stopping at the door.  With the group ready, he opened it, quickly eyeballing his targets and firing off a hold persons spell at them.

If Aesop is going to run in and start spellcasting, they're going to start casting at about the same time. If so, go ahead and roll initiative.

After the door is opened, Tchaener stands within the doorway, and casts a sleep spell!

The bandaged man rushes in after Aesop, leaping to the side before letting an arrow fly at one of the clerics!

The cleric is shot dead on! While he was not casting yet, his holding action nets him an arrow in the chest! As he stumbles back in blank faced reeling, spells go off around Corwin and the others!

First the mage finishes it's deadly incantation! "Py'reth Deljardo!"

Tchaener barely has time to register his surprise before keeling over, fast asleep! Meanwhile another priest finishes, a word of power overwhelming Corwin! "Swim!"

As two of the heroes are occupied, the last priest finishes his spell at Aesop! In a flash a bright light tries to settle over his eyes!
