I've watched through the end of the first season.  I felt it remained fun throughout really.

I was surprised that they managed to nail the feel of the previous series. It really doesn't feel like 10 or so years passed.

Well, except for the artwork. THAT is a hell of a lot better than the older series.

And frankly, even with the little plushies, that's really exactly what I could ask for.  Modern artwork tied with 80s era sentimatilites.
