This is easily my favorite show of the season so far. Not exactly what I was expecting to say at this point.

It is very cliche', true, full of stock characters and situations of the magical girl variety. I think it's the presentation of the material that pushes it to the forefront. The animation is gorgeous. Just look at the flying scene in the first episode and the magical girl transformation in the second to see what I'm talking about. I also like the main character quite a bit. Her costumes are cute.

"Cool and Spicy" indeed. 

I fear the doujinshi this show is going to produce, however. >_>
