Final Fantasy Legend 2/Saga 2: Goddess no hihou or whatever

Any saga 2 fans here? :P

I'm midway through the never to be released here DS version.  Not bad really, they added a lot of really nice small touches that spruced up the experience.

Currently midway through Venus' world.

So, for the record, it was a rather fun nostalgic trip.  I would've had doubts from a commercial side of its viability for selling, but for those who liked the earlier final fantasy legends, it is them, polished and nicer and with new stuff and a pretty awesome super difficult arena set.

Biggest worry I would have is with reasonably keeping enough weaponry around near end game.  I cheated on this (I beat the GB game legit four times, I was playing this for fun), but usually I tended to have to struggle to ensure enough firepower to take down the final boss.  He was always quite dangerous.  Here, he's more dangerous (and more awesome) with more stages and life.  This makes the low use count on end tier weapons even more brutal than normal.  I know I'd certainly be disappointed to not have enough weapons to take on their super boss rush.

For awareness, the full translation did get made.

The group though was harassed into shutting down.  so, no FFL3 translation anytime soon.   Sadness.
