Nirae and Rackham both swung.   Nirae scored a hit, sinking her axe into her attackers back.  Rackham, swinging to avoid his friend, sank the mighty scythe into the wolf's side.  The wolf yelped, and Nirae lost a little more skin.   Both followed up with second blows, killing the last of the wolves.

Trunkyboy

Rackham did not let his guard down.  He stood holding his scythe tightly and snarling, peering in every direction for any more signs of danger and checking if any of the wolves were still alive.  He did so by going to each wolf's body and stricking at the throat with his scythe.
riss and I against the world!

Rackham and Nirae get no breaks...

Why, oh why wasn't I born rich?

kpjam

Rackham sliced the wolves' necks, ensuring they are all very dead.  He sees nothing as he looks around.

As Rackham's bloodlust calmed down some, he rushed over to Nirae to check her injuries.  His hand did not leave his scythe, nor did he stop looking around every once in while for any other possible threats.

Visually Rackham could see blood flowing freely from her neck, chin, and left leg, and both arms, chuncks of skin were missing from her chin and right arm... she was a mess.

"Oh, we'll be doin' that. At least, as best we canna manage."

He turns and starts looking up and down the motley group of individuals, with something of a raised eyebrow at the ogre.

"'ell, this'll be interesting, no doubt. Oi, Orkanel. Mind if we borrow dat teleporting thing your niece has? Cood prove usful."
[19:14] <Annerose> Aww, mouth not outpacing brain after all?
[19:14] <Candide> My brain caught up

Dracos

O'Karn stood, overlooking the crew.  Not much to work with.  Only scrawny humans.  "Humans, know this.  I will work with you as long as you don't get in my way.  Become trouble, and I shall deal with you swiftly."

Fearless Leader
Well, Goodbye.

"Ah, good you're here.  Lafiel, give me that rod," Arkanel said, looking at the girl intently.

"Wha...?" she flashed a quick glance at Daggedal, before producing the small rod and handing it to Arkanel.

"I need you get Jared to fetch Nevin.  Our friends want to know about the mountains.  And also get the anchor for the rod."

She nodded, her eyes narrowing slightly and lips pursed, before walking out of the room.

Following Lafiel into the room, Jeremiah stepped to the side to allow the bow-carrying man behind him through the door.

Calmly surveying the room, his gaze eventually settled on the old git.  It was a mildly baleful gaze, too, Jeremiah felt slightly proud of it.  He had practiced for a long time to get this sort of look right, and gratifying it was to be given the chance to use it.
Hangin' out backstage, waiting for the show.

Figment

Standing, Devon walked over to O'karn, "Might I see the map of the valley?"

Dracos

O'karn turned his head slightly and narrowed his eyes down at the human's request before reaching into his bag and handing him the map he'd asked for.  "Know well the terrain human."

Fearless Leader
Well, Goodbye.

Figment

Nodding in thanks, Devon returned to his seat and studied the map.

Remdos scratched his chin and raised an eyebrow at the departing girl, who'd failed to take the hint to introduce herself. 'Well, either that, or I was dumped before I could think to even flirt.'

As the other fellow followed the girl, he likewise headed for the door, and followed to where the others had gathered.

He stopped to take in the environment and noticing Arkanel, he cleared his throat, trying to get the old man's attention. "Feel free to explain why you didn't mention your little transportation trick left me feeling like bloody shit, not to mention unconscious for a while."

"Any little tidbit you forgot to mention that might leave me feeling like shit again would likewise be appreciated," he added with no small amount of sarcasm in his tone.
<Cidward> God willing, we'll all meet in Buttquest 2: The Quest for More Butts.

"You're here, aren't you?" he responded instantly and then rang the serving bell.

"Which I don't understand.  I thought you declined, not appearing when the others did?"

Clara walked in.

"I need a bottle of Brandy," he ordered.

Clara nodded and left the room.

Devon opened the map of the valley.  An egg shaped area, with the pass they had entered shown near the bottom of the egg, on the south west protion.  A large lake took up a good portion of the valley.

The village was marked, on the northern side of the lake, near the western or larger oval of the egg.

The pass into the valley was on the southern side, with Camelot shown as nothing but a shaded area to the west, smaller end of the egg.

Farmland was shaded between the city and the pass, bending around the lake.

Two rivers were clearly marked, one leading from the mountains to the north, into the lake, and one leading from the lake through the pass.
