Remdos' eyes widened as he dove to the left side as soon as he saw the spell, while grabbing another arrow from his back. That fireball didn't look like the cheap parlor tricks he'd faced in the past.

"Well, about bloody time things got interesting," he muttered quietly, having missed the earlier attacks on his companions. As he started to get up, his eyes hunted for the fireball.

Daggedal ponders the virtues of archery, but charges in with shield in front anyway, 'cos by the time he got his bow out, the battle would be over, one way or the other.

He makes a careful note to make sure the ogre dosn't hit him by mistake; he somehow doubted collateral damage was in the things vocabulary.

Rushing forward, he thrusts his sword towards the mage.

With any luck, he'll have one of those magic-enabling rings..

O'karn's throw was slightly off as the body missed the fireball, sailing through the air.  It continued on its way past both the Ogre and Daggedal, exploding a couple feet from Remdos.

The explosion went off like a cannon explosion.  The force of the blast caused Remdos to loose his balance and fall on his side, failing to stand.

The blast caused Daggedal to stumble and O'karn to wonder about the warm evening breeze.  The three opponents yelled in unison and turned to run.  The one who had fired the fireball took the lead at a health sprint.  The one with the arrow in his arm followed not nearly as fast, and the last stumbled and found O'karn's blade severed his arm and slid easily into his side.

Daggedal races past the Ogre giving him a wide berth.

The two remaining scouts don't flinch at the screams of their comrads as they continue to run.

Daggedal continues to rush after the man with the arrow in his back, figuring him for an easy kill. Perhaps he'll be able to get a shot at the mage with his bow in a moment..

Daggedal continues the pursuit through the sparse forest.   He slowly overtakes the wonunded man while the fleet footed one changes course.

Daggedal slams the wounded man in the head with his shield, aiming to knock him out and take him back for questioning.

A few steps more and Daggedal swings his shield forward impacting the mans head and sending him flying forward as his screams of agony fill the air.

Daggedal quickly rushes to the mans body and slams his head once more, to make sure he's good and unconcious.

Dracos

O'karn calmly sheathed his sword, pulling out of his bag his massive crossbow.  Lining up the guy's back, he carefully took aim and let rip with a crossbow bolt.

Dracos
FIRE ONE!
Well, Goodbye.

Remdos curses as he pulls himself upward from his downed and unbalanced position. That -really- hadn't been a cheap parlor trick.

Once up, he pulls on the bowstring and arrow, holding them in position as his eyes checked for the status of the three targets and whether to fire at one.

Daggedal bashes the downed man and smirks to himself when the incessant whining ends.

O’karn pulled forth his mighty crossbow and let fire a bolt that thudded into a tree as the man ran unharmed.    Gurgling could be heard as the man at his feet tried to cry in anguish but found nothing but blood came forth.

Remdos rose to a knee and found the lone man standing was still running, though quite a distance away at this point.

Taking careful aim, Remdos lets loose his metal arrow, straight at the back of the running man's throat.

With uncanny accuracy the arrow flew through the air.  Remdos stood still, knowing when loosed it was a perfect release.  Time slowed for the man as he observed his arrow's flight through the air, to embed itself in the throat of the last fleeing scout.  His limbs flew outwards as he landed hard on his belly, soundless from the distance.

"Ha!" Remdos exclaimed as he stood up with a grin. "That'll bloody well teach you not to shoot people with fireballs!"

He paused at that, and leaned the tip of his bow under his chin. "Of course, that lesson'll only really help you in the afterlife, I suppose."

With that, he checked to see if his companions needed help with the other two attackers.

Having been running for the past few moments, Daggedal decides a bit more won't hurt, and leaves the unconcious man there for someone else to pick up while he goes to check the fireball-thrower for one of those rings.. or anything else that might help him cast his spells once more.
