Carth's magical adventure, ROUND TWO, MOTHERFUCKERS!

[Carthrat]

"I have my doubts," replies Carthrat. "Um.. the 'bot got my shoulder, and it's biting like crazy. If it's not too much trouble, could you heal it?"

[Anastasia]

She nods, and takes a careful look at your shoulder. "That's not that bad a wound, and it's a very clean cut." She murmurs, holding something under her shirt...You feel warmth as your shoulder heals.

"Is that better?"

[Carthrat]

"Yes, thanks," replies Carthrat, hopping in the car.

"That wonderful friend I just had the pleasure of meeting was a bounty-hunting robot," he says, driving towards Ukyo's joint. "There's only one present reason a bounty could be on me, and it makes me nervous they might try to strike at you.

I hope you know enough magic to defend yourself in my absence," he finishes.

[Anastasia]

"I hope so, too," she says. "But...who would be after you, if you're so sure on who it is?"

[Carthrat]

"Only the Yakuza," replies Carthrat. "The people whose little operation I busted last night."

[Anastasia]

"They would have something like THAT?" she asks, awed. "I thought robots weren't invented...at least here, yet, from what you said."

[Carthrat]

Carthrat snorts. "The Yakuza is run by extra-terrestrial humans. It's how they got their edge."

[Anastasia]

"Ah," she says, letting the matter drop for now.

[Carthrat]

Carthrat continues driving with expert control. "Aliens havn't actually started living on Earth until the last fourty years or so. Note that giant technological leaps made since then. But I should also point out that it was, actually, humans who made most of those leaps; they just happened to come across perculiar things, and took it on themselves to investigate them.

I can tell you with absolute certainty that Einstien was a human, and that atomic bombs are a human creation. It actually created something of a stir at the time; no other race had advanced that far."

[Anastasia]

Rachel nods as you speak. "Before, you said Earth was a 'special case'. Is that what you mean?"

[Carthrat]

Carthrat shakes his head. "No. This is just something interesting and generally a fact we humans use to make ourselves look big.

Earth is a 'Special Case' because the Interplantary Guild of Human Influence has declared it an untouchable. i.e. The general populance is supposed to remain blissfully unaware of the outside galaxy. Nobody knows why except the heads, and we know that they're extremley touchy about it.

What this translates to is that the other races governments and agencies don't investigate it, making it a perfect place to run away to."

[Anastasia]

After that, Rachel falls quiet, perhaps given too much to think about.

Shortly thereafter, you find yourself at Ukyo's restaurant.

[Carthrat]

"Wake up, we're here!" says Carthrat. "No doubt some okonomiyaki will clear your mind of all the silly things I've told you today," he says, parking and getting out.

[Anastasia]

"Small place," Rachel says as she gets out of the car. Looking around, you can see that it's a quiet night down here with no one readily about.  Light spills outside from the restaurant, along with good smells.

Inside, you see a few customers and Ukyou, manning the grill. She is chatting away with one of them, smiling.

[Carthrat]

Carthrat breaths a sigh of relief as he sees *other people* inside the restraunt.

Though he wasn't really expecting her usual run of devilish traps. Damn girl was too smart for her own good, really.

Putting on his best 'I'm home, honey!' face, he walks boldly into the restraunt.
