I've recieved your mission report, along with many others like it. It appears that the Zerg got here first, and now we're faced with the unenviable task of eradicating several hive clusters on the surface of the desert planet of Dylar IV. Reports say the've only been on the planet for five or six days, but already their sheer numbers are astounding. We cannot afford to let the Zerg use this area as a staging point.

As your team is still relatively new, you will be away from the main body of Zerg forces. While Alpha, Gamma, Delta, and Epsilon teams deal with the larger hives on the southwestern continent, you will be investigating an area that orbital surveillance suggests the Zerg may be scouting as a site for another hive cluster. The site is rich in Vespene deposits and mineral veins, and contains ruins that appear to be of Protoss nature. It would serve as an ideal staging point for continued operations on the continent, so we must secure it before the Zerg do.

You will be dropped ten klicks south of the ruins site and issued a patrol truck to aid your travel to the site. We don't suspect there are very many Zerg forces in the area, but we would rather not chance losing a dropship to a hidden Spore Colony. If you encounter Zerg on the way to the site, either destroy them or make note of their location so that they can be destroyed later with artillery strikes. Once at the site, you will meet up with Tau team, coming from the north.

Once you have met, your primary objective is to neutralize all opposing forces and secure all mineral and Vespene deposits. Your secondary objective is to investigate the ruins and find out what happened to the Protoss there, as well as salvage any equipment that may be remaining -- the records of both High and Dark Templar show no sign of there ever being an encampment on Dylar IV. Once you believe that the objectives have been carried out to the best of your ability and the area is safe to land in, you are to signal the Hyperion and indicate that it's safe to land civilians and SCVs.

The Sleepwalker will depart for your landing point at 0800 hours.
