I have a dream that one day, men will be punched in the face not for the color of their skin, but for the awful content of their character.

"These bandit types always go for stupid names like that," Lina comments idly, waving her hand. "Dragon this, phoenix that."

Caelena's smile actually warmed as she rushed to Raquel, the witch bitch forgotten as her companion ecompassed her attention.

"Un, though it wasn't really all that fun...one Vice Flare and proof that Lina Inverse's reputation, all of it, isn't really far off..." she giggled. "Bandits and a small dragon is all."

"I'm not hearing this, I'm not hearing this, I'm not..." Amelia chants, eye beginning to tic.

Ebiris

"Yeah, like the Dragons Head Macho Battlers," Gourry nods sagely in agreement with Lina.

"Flan?" the old man says, scratching his head. "I suppose we could make some, although are kitchens are somewhat in ruin. If you don't mind waiting, I'm sure we could find a willing townsperson to donate their kitchen for our saviors' needs."

Kizel starts laughing at all the comments regarding the gang. "Heh, actually the old Dragon's Fang was led by our boss' second cousin or some such. This gang of bandits were named in its honor. I always figured the name to be a jinx just asking for Lina Inverse to take care of 'em too."

A grin plastered onto his face as he added, "And I guess I was right, even if I had a hand in it happening."
<Cidward> God willing, we'll all meet in Buttquest 2: The Quest for More Butts.

Bean Bandit

Raquel nodded and smiled, climbing to her feet, and shaking dust from her hair and clothes, and gave a slightly mournful look at the ruins of the dining area. "So much for dinner..."

She turned back to Cz, and looked carefully at her, and slight concern showed on her expression. "So why do you look like you're about to toss off a Burst Flare?"

Caelena smiled, hugging Raquel briefely. "Inverse-baka," she murmured softly, shrugging. "As I said, her rep is richly deserved." Sitting down on a piece of roof, Caelena nervously played with the hilt of her sword.

"We'll have to move on, this place isn't going to be rich enough for mercenaries for long..."

"We'll wait!" Lina happily announces. Then, she takes out a magical marker, and begins doodling on the comatose Zelgadis.

"I'd like some flan, too!" Gourry says, sitting down on a piece of rubble, since all the chairs seem to be destroyed...

Bean Bandit

Raquel smiled, returning the hug and looked around, her gaze falling briefly on the only person in the room to even slightly fit the description of the famous bandit-killer.

"Lina Inverse? Where-Oh, that little girl? Isn't she a little young? She can't be more than twelve..." Raquel mused, puzzled.

"If flan's what you want, flan is what you'll have!" the old man declares. Looking towards the waitress, he says, "Find those cooks of mine, and have them find a kitchen and make their flan."

The waitress nods, happy that she wasn't going to have to pay for the redhead's dinner, and scampers off to dig up the cooks, leaving the old man in their midst.

Corwin

Lina doodles on Zelgadis, drawing pretty pictures of super-deformed bunnies on his face, and ignoring the banter of third-rate magic users who weren't even ready for a sudden dragon attack and tavern cave-in.

"All talk," she mutters to herself with a snort.

Asrana

Caelena smiled, shrugging. "I don't know, didn't we know someone when we were fourteen that kinda looked like that? Kassa or something..."

Humming, she went digging inside her cloak, looking for some of their trail food to serve as dinner.

Raquel nodded, and blinked. "Why are we staying here, then?" she asked curiously as she sat down on a nearby section of wall with scorched edges, hunting for any trail food in her cloak. "Or is the whole town like this?"

As she spoke, she glanced up at the other people in the room, placing threat and skill levels as best she could.

Caelena shrugged, humming. "The rest of the town shouldn't be as bad off. Did you see any other inns coming into town?" she asked, picking a small package of dried apple slices out of a pocket and slowly eating.
