As Filia, Rei and Ami arrive to their meeting place with Genkai, they see her talk with Makoto, Eiko hanging by the brunette's side.

Ami nods her head to the group gathered ahead. "Good morning, Ms. Genkai, Princess Makoto."

Motioning Filia to step forward, she turns to Genkai. "I do apologize again for all the trouble with Filia, Ms. Genkai. But thank you for all your help." Ami smiles.

Excellent Youkai.

"Ah, how blessed am I to have a pair of such nice charges," Genkai responds, smiling at Ami. "Like I was telling Makoto dearest," she continues, "your training in magic and Lunar history begins today."

All three princesses notice that a part of Genkai's words is emphasized.

"Lunar history? But I've already had quite a bit of study about Lunar history..." Ami trails off and shrugs. I guess a review wouldn't hurt, though. If nothing else, I can finish it off quickly and see about getting computer access here on Luna, I suppose.

Excellent Youkai.

"Good morning Makoto-chan, Eiko," Rei cheerfully greets the two teenagers, before giving her attention to Genkai. The old crone was actually pretty tolerable when she taught history, although magic wasn't exactly Rei's strong point... even as Sailor Mars she was pretty pitiful...

That depressing train of thought reminds her of yesterdays events, and she makes a note to avoid actively pissing Genkai off today - so long as the old bitch extended the same courtesy, that is. Hopefully she could even convince the dried up old mackerel to teach her some of those moves she had started using against her with so much glee recently...

Corwin

The glove on Genkai's hand beeps, interrupting the conversation. She walks away a few steps and turns around, huddling over it. When the old woman rejoins the group, her earlier mirth is gone and she looks tired. "I've just received word that the Earth's flagship has been sent to Luna. Apparently, there was some trouble with the previous military representative, though our details are sketchy." Genkai sighs. "Seems like we'll only get a few hours to train today, since you girls will have to be ready for the ball scheduled for this evening."

"The previous military representative?" Rei recalls the effeminate general who was introduced yesterday, as well as what happened just before they had  breakfast at the Stellar Lighthouse... "Oh, yes. Him. You'd have thought the Earthlings would have made sure their delegates would be given enough Lunar currency..."

Dismissing it as unimportant, she turns to more important matters. "So, a ball tonight, eh? Should be fun."

Corwin

"Interesting," Genkai mumbles, going over the information. "We'll have to talk some more about thi--"

Makoto's own glove beeps this time, causing Genkai to raise an eyebrow. "Princess, I'm so glad we found you!" a middle-aged woman gushes, exhaling in relief. "Please, you must return to Metis at once!"

Makoto's eyes widen, and she glances at Eiko, who returns her look anxiously.

"Metis...." Eiko whispers. "You haven't been there in--" She cuts herself off, blushing.

"That's okay, Eiko-chan," Makoto responds, smiling crookedly at her friend. "It must be something big for them to send for me." Turning to Genkai, she bows, giving her an apologetic look. "Seems like you'll only have two students today, Miss Genkai."

The old woman sighs, and runs her hand through her hair. "When it rains, it pours." She nods to herself. "I'll contact 'My Dear Baby Girl, Serenity' and ask its captain to take you to Jupiter. That's one of our fastest ships, and you shouldn't be gone for too long."

"Thank you!" Makoto exclaims, clasping Genkai's hands with her own. "We appreciate it!"

"I wanna go, too!" a familiar voice exclaims from behind the Jovian Princess. As everyone's eyes follow it to its source, they see Princess Serenity standing there with a wide smile. "I always wanted to travel to the Outer System!"

"You have to leave?" Rei looks at Makoto in surprise, "I hope nothing bad has happened..."

Corwin

The little hologram above Makoto's glove coughs, getting everyone's attention. "This is not something we could talk about over the videophone, Princess. Please hurry... Jupiter needs you!"

The transmission ends then.

Makoto sighs. "Doesn't seem like I have a choice. Are you sure you want to come along, Your Highness?" she asks Serenity. "We don't have many cute boys on Metis."

"I'll endure," Serenity replies, nodding with seriousness.

"It's settled then, I suppose," Genkai mutters. She checks a few things on her glove, and then says, "The 'MDBG, Serenity' is about to land on runway fifty-nine of the Royal Spaceport. I'll have a squad of marines escort you to the ship, and act as your guard while off Lunar surface, Your Highness."

Serenity frowns at first, but then her face brightens up. "Are the marines cute?" she asks.

Genkai snorts, and nods, trying to mask it. "Indeed, Your Highness."

The marines arrive promptly, and don't visibly react to Princess Serenity's cries of joy as they escort she, Eiko and Makoto to the Royal Spaceport.

"Such is life," Genkai says, sighing, once Serenity is out of earshot.

"Oh, well. Better she's visiting Jupiter than Earth, I suppose," Rei muses as Princess Serenity departs.

"So," she says, turning to Genkai, "Are we going to get Filia settled in her new quarters and then we can get to work? What are we going to be doing today, anyway. Magic or history?"

Corwin

Genkai nods at Rei's words, before answering, "Magic. That's individual enough, and I don't want to repeat the history lesson more than once." Glancing at Filia, she says, "Walk with me," and begins heading off down the corridor. "Get back to your quarters, girls," she tells the two princesses. "I'll be there soon enough."

Rei shrugs, reasoning that she can find out where Filia is staying easily enough when she needs to. "Okay, come on Ami-chan," she says to the young Princess, starting back towards their quarters.

Corwin

Genkai and Filia quickly disappear from view, the latter casting anxious glances at her princess and being told in a low voice, "You better not try to run away again."

Ami waves to Filia and dutifully follows Rei to the elevator leading down to their quarters.

Her face drops to a sullen frown as the two walk back to their quarters. They WOULD have to be throwing a ball... I've got to come up with some way to get out of it. Ami thinks.
