The Earth Delegation

[Corwin]

"Not from orbit, Ma'am," he responds, but nonetheless brings up an image from the Moon's surface. Minako sees a few lines glow on the shown section, presumably each representing a runway.

[kpjam]

"Inform the tower that unless they give us a good reason, we're landing on the VIP runway.  It's so much nicer than those others, and I've here because to help them out.  They owe me this curtosy at least!"  She places her foot down firmly looking directly at Henry.

[Corwin]

Frowning, Henry relays the princess's words to the tower. A few moments later, he gets a reply. "They're saying, 'No means no'," he tells Minako, wincing inwardly.

[kpjam]

"Meanies.  I'll remeber this," she says to herself.

"Fine, pick the next nicest  runway and let's land."

[Corwin]

The spaceship lands on runway fifty-nine, and as Minako disembarks with Artemis, she finds what seems to be a welcome party of marines and three girls, one of them barely a teenager.

[kpjam]

Minako ignores the Marines and looks the girls over critically.  "Princess Minako reporting," she says in a crisp clear voice.

[Corwin]

"Oh wow!" a chestnut-haired girl exclaims. "Another one! Nice to meet you," she continues, curtsying. "I'm Makoto de la Joviana!"

At Minako's side, Artemis drops into a feline bow. "Princess Serenity!" he exclaims.

[kpjam]

Failing to process Artemis' blurted words right away, Minako asks cutely. "Another Minako?  There are more of me?"

[Corwin]

Eiko looks at her strangely. "Not that I know of."

[kpjam]

Minako turns to the girl who answered.  "Good."  

She smiles and asks, "And you are?"

[Corwin]

"I'm Eiko, Mako-chan's special friend!" she replies, smiling.

Off to the side, Serenity is frowning at being ignored.

[kpjam]

"Everyone should have at least one special friend.  I'm so happy for the both of you," she says brightly as a wide smile crosses her face.

She turns to the last of the girls, deducing that this must be the "Serenity" that her old tom cat blurted out about.

She gives a small curtsy.  "It's a pleasure to meet you, Princess."

[Corwin]

Serenity pushes past Minako and onto the ship, mumbling something which might've been 'pleasure'. The marines follow her, with Eiko and Makoto coming up behind them, the latter offering Minako an apologetic glance. "We're in a bit of a hurry," she says, disappearing inside the spaceship.

[kpjam]

Minako turns to Artemis.  "Why am I here and dealing with these women?  The General was so much nicer."

[Corwin]

"You could always ignore Queen Serenity's request and go home, Mina," he responds, putting an emphasis on the word 'request'.
