Bean Bandit

Wraith gave her a solemn look.

"Which is all well and good if you're fighting in a tournament. But in a random fight in the real world, there's no way to tell a martial artist from someone who has no illusions, or inhibitions..."

"I know, it's why I never cared for the lifestyle. But that might be my upbringing."

Bean Bandit

Wraith shrugged.

"It seems an impractical philosophy for everday life, in my opinion." he said blandly. He glanced briefly at Kei.

"I wonder. He doesn't seem to show the same restraint Mike does..."

Kwokinator

Kei stirred as he remembered what just happened.

Opening his eyes, he sat up and shot an ice-cold stare in Wraith and Asrana's direction before getting up.

"I apologize for my earlier action," he bowed formally, his fists clenched bleach white. "That was uncalled for, and I was punished for it." At the mention of the word "punishment", his eyes gained a fire, but it was quickly doused.

"Now if you'll excuse me, Princess," he continued, his normally cheerful and friendly voice practically dripping with venom. "I'll leave you and your friend alone.  I need to go... train."

With that said, he spun on his heels and strode away.

Asrana

Asrana sighed and leaned against a tree, beginning to massage her forehead, "Some days...some days.... I REALLY wonder why I accepted all this. I think I need a break from all this...yeah. Tell everyone else that if they need to contact me to leave a message at a Jade Assassins' Guildhouse." Asrana gathered up her weapons and teleported away.

Wraith blinked. He stood slowly and gathered his weapons.

"That hypocritical bastard," He muttered to himself, glancing back the way Kei had departed. He was angry, and worse, he wasn't sure why. "He got off too lightly. I should...no. Asrana wouldn't appreciate me making the situation worse. It was probably my fault anyway."

He clipped his sword back to his belt after tucking the throwing knives away. "They were getting along fine before I showed up. I'll apologize to Asrana for causing trouble, then I'll stay in the background," he decided.

With that, he vanished silently into the trees...

Bean Bandit

Wraith stopped himself, fighting an internal war.

"Screw it. I don't care. I'm gonna have words with the jerk."

With that, he began heading in the direction Kei had gone. Momentarily, the martial artist came into view. Wraith stood in the trees, eyes narrowed.

As soon as he figured out what to say without embarrassing his employer, he'd have it out with Kei.

Kwokinator

A maniacal laughter rang out from the martial artist in question, completely unaware of Wraith's prescence.

"Mwahahahahaha..." Kei's voice rumbled in a low laughter as a glint came over his eyes.  Cracking his knuckles and rotating any kinks out of his neck, his previously stone-cold feature growing into a wide grin.  Spinning on the balls of his foot, he rotated around 180 and punched the tree behind him with a vertical fist, blowing a large circular chunk out of the tree trunk.

Spinning around, he leapt to the side a little and unleashed a backfist at another tree, cutting the medium-sized tree in half.  As the trunk began to topple over, he launched an axe kick at the toppling half of the trunk, cutting it in half once again.

As soon as his foot touched down on the ground, he immediately broke into a sprint, then leapt up into a flying kick, his entire body cutting through the tree and exiting out from the other side, where he landed lightly with both feet squared below his shoulders.  As the large tree threatened to topple over on him, he sent a fist up at the toppling tree, then allowed himself to fall, pushing a hand into the ground and propelling himself upwards with a kick, kicking the toppling tree several meters away.

Getting back to his feet, he smiled a satisfied, yet strangely sadistic smile.

Seconds later, another maniacal laughter escaped his lips.

Bean Bandit

Wraith stepped out of the trees, giving the deranged laughing martial artist a hard look.

"I see something more has happened than you led Asrana-dono to believe. " he said curiously.

"So there is more to you than just a clown, I see."

"I didn't lead her to believe anything," Kei spoke in a cold voice without turning around. "She believed whatever she wanted to believe.  What do you want?"

Bean Bandit

Wraith smiled flippantly. "Besides your head impaled on a stick?" he asked glibly.

Kwokinator

Kei extended a fist to punch a tree next to him, his punch shaking the entire tree and all its leaves loose.

Turning around to face Wraith, he slipped into a defensive stance.

"Just try it," he growled.

Bean Bandit

Wraith grinned lazily, unfazed by the attempt to impress or cow him, he wasn't sure which.

"Unfortuantely, our employer wishes you in one piece. So, killing you is out. However, If you'd like to wish you were dead, press the point." he said easily. His lips quirked into a snarling grin. "Please."

Kwokinator

Kei threw his arms up into the air and laughed maniacally.

Pivoting on his left foot, he swung his right leg behind his left and sank his knees lower, going into a southpaw stance with power in mind.

"Let's cut the pretenses," he smirked. "You want this just as much as I do, so bring it on."

Bean Bandit

Wraith didn't move, standing in an apparently casual stance.

"Think you know me that well, do you? Truth is, as far as fighting you goes, I couldn't care less. You aren't worth my time. Your 'skill' is negligible." he said calmly.

"As far as disliking you personally...yes, I'd say so. Still, taking the first shot against someone so handicapped doesn't strike me as fair."
