"She's supposed to be Asrana's equal? She's creating vacuum blades without even trying!" Mike simple shook his head in awe as he watched the fight for a few more seconds. "Remind me again why were 'guarding' Asrana if this is her equal?"

"Hey, wait-up!" Mike called as he jogged after Kei, hopping over and dodging the vaccum blades that came near.

"Man I feel like I just started training after watching those two go at it." He said when he caught up with his friend.

I agree with the second part.

Kwokinator

"You can train all you want," Kei replied bitterly as he kept on walking. "But you'll never get as good as a draconian."

"Trust me on this," he continued, his voice practically dripping with acid. "I've had experience in this."

Danax

Mike chuckled at Kei. "Come on man, you are only a hair better then me, and I know that I haven't plateau'd yet, so You couldn't have either."

Mike glanced back at th area the fight was going on. "Still that does seem stupid its so powerful." He commented with a shrug and a grin.

"Still kinda makes you wanna train dosn't it?"

Kwokinator

"It's more than stupid," Kei answered, his voice chokefull of sarcasm. "It's called ridiculously powerful.  Anymore powerful and they can wipe out the planet with the snap of their fingers."

"And no," he added. "I don't.  What's the point of training and becoming so good when enemies pop out of nowhere and threatens your life every so often?"

Danax

"You just answered your own question, if you don't train then tose enemies do a lot more then jsut threaten!" Mike said with a friendly grin.

"But I think your right about some of those Draconians, I can't even imagine accidentaly creating something like a Vaccum blade from just your normal fighting."

Wraith shrugged. "Well, I guess that's true...but I meant more along the lines of why would they ask me? I know that I have a long ways to go...Heck, everyone at this table could take me in a fight."

He looked curiously at the wine. "Is the alcohol content geared for your species?" he asked warily.

Asrana

Asrana smiled, "It's easier when learned earlier. Mother and Father had trouble learning it when Aunt Caelena married Uncle Farenal because they'd already trained heavily in the skills of being Jade Dragons. If you start now while you're still training as a Jade Dragon it'll be easier."

She giggled, "No, that's saved for birthdays, sometimes weddings, Field Trial returns, things like that."

Wraith considered. "Sounds like fun. I look forward to it."

He smiled wryly. "I'll remember to avoid the refreshment at those events. Can I try some, then...?" he asked.

Asrana smiled and gestured to his glass, "Go ahead...my father will be making the announcements in a moment. Just sit and relax, we aren't supposed to do anything but nod and smile."

Folkan whispered to his wife as the couple talked.

Wraith sighed as he picked up his goblet. He took a sip and glanced at Asrana.

"I really miss being anonymous," he commented. "Every danger signal my body can give is on alert when I'm near the center of attention like this..."

"No, Mike," Kei sighed exasperatedly. "Ever heard of the phrase 'The bigger they are, the harder they fall'?  The better you are, the more people will be after you."

"And it's not the creating vacuum blades that irks me," he explained. "It's how they USE the power."

Asrana

OOC: I wasn't planning on doing this until post 630 or so...But Kwok you just gave such a lovely opening!

IC: "And how exactly is that, weakling?" A dark voice echoed through the trees behind them.

"And who are you to judge us? You are not even a warrior. Simply a 'martial artist' as your kind calls yourselves." The sneer was audible in his voice.

OOC: *The GM smiles mysteriously*

Kwokinator

Kei pretended to take no notice of the "weakling" comment.

"Anyone has the right to judge anyone," he replied coldly. "You learn the way of fighting, and you answer to everyone, whether you're a so-called warrior or a martial artist."

Asrana

OOC: You didn't even turn around to look at him o_0

IC: The man chuckled, still behind Kei's back, "No. You answer only to those that can make you answer with this path. Whether it is a single master or an army, one does not have to answer to those weaker than oneself."

"The very concept is a pathetic dream dreamed by weakling martial artists."

OOC: FEEL THE LOVE!

"No, you hvae to answer, wether you realise it or not." Mike said as he turned around to look at the speaker. "Even the lowliest insect of a pauper will judge you, and you answer that with your actions."

Mike smiled a sad smile. "You seem to put to much distinction between martial artists and warriors. Kinda like one of those head-fucked people who put everything into thier 'style'." Mike sighed as he continued. "Just because we don't kill unless its necissary does not mean we are weak, nor does reckles killing make you strong. Hopefully you'll be able to see that someday, you'd be the stronger for it."
