The Great Detectivewas called in to solve a mystery. A valuable painting has disappeared from a small exhibit. A reproduction was in its place. The puzzle was that there was only a five-minute span and no-one saw anyone leaving with a large roll or package. Upon examining the substitute, the Great Detective saw that it didn't fit inside the frame properly. He knew where the real painting was. Where?

I'm going out on a limb here >.>

I'm assuming that the picture didn't fit inside the frame meaning that the picture was too large to fit inside the frame. >.> reproduction was covering the original, the painting was one canvas thickness too large, on all sides, so the frame wouldn't fit it anymore.

Smite me if i'm wrong. >.<
