Post by: Dracos on September 03, 2003, 01:15:20 PM
Heya!  Here we will do obnoxious OOC things like pointing and laughing at each other and ponder whether or not we'll manage to buy Cy before he's old and gray.

Cy: Yeah, hum...  Private session one way or another will be coming up.  At least to explain what you be doing while being a slave.

Sidenote: Once we all chime in, I expect this game to move in classic style.  2-3 day max posting limit without giving notice (preferrably here).  I'm always willing to work with someone who isn't here but to do that I need notice.

Let the games begin!

Bad shit has come up.  In a day or so I will likely be posting again, hopefully.  But between job fairs and a lot of work, my time for this is a bit minimized, I'll try and clean up my schedule quickly so I can get back to what we all enjoy.

I would note: At this point Bran is acting rather... foolishly... because he feels a need to reassert his self-worth (he faired pathetically in the arena).  Being fairly young and possessing not an extraordinary amount of common sense, he's not exactly thinking things through in practical terms.

Fair enough.  I need to actually draw up the stats for these guys but I should have time sometime before dying.

The Master Plan:

I draw up stats for these guys as soon as I get a long free moment (Prolly this evening) and then you fight them oh, whenever we both meet online.  Probably friday in the middle of the day.

Okay Guys, this is 'Not Good'.  There's just been a general slacking of playing going on.  I understand we're busy, but I do request at least a once every two days posting unless there's a good reason (in which case TELL ME, I'm understanding).  Several of you have been sitting as statues in Romansks office for close to a week now.  This isn't cool.  I don't even care if you just tag on: I'm following X, but do something.  Participate!  It's frustrating for me as a GM and for the other players when you join up and don't participate in a game.  I develop the game style not to be a terrible drain on time.  A post when you can philosophy.  But this goes back with the fact you are expected to post.

Please shape up before I have to take action to clip people from the campaign so that those who are interested in playing can continue.  I'd really prefer not to have to do that.

Timeskippy goodness:

Okay, polling players.  Nominally, the time in the city was for you guys to do stuff, explore, whatnot.  But it doesn't seem like anyone really wants to, so if the majority of the group desires, we can timeskip a week from now with a few little things handled.

I'll skip you all to the inn that day and explain what went on, Rat and Cor will get one weeks wages and the rest of you will get nothing.

Anyone have a problem with this?  Some actual RP'ing they'd like to do before this?

Okay, things that have changed:

Asrana has dropped out, rendering the total population of rome to five, four voters and the halfing  :twisted: .  I'm still going to require a majority, so one of you remaining players vote and tell me I can move on the show.

Regardless, I likely won't post till tomorrow evening due to a major exam tomorrow.

When I post though, the sound of death will be heard o_o

I'm going to move things now regardless after my exam but really try to keep an eye on the game.

Okay, I was cleaning up my GM's notes before the fight to make sure it runs smoothly and cleanly and I found a discrepency.  Trunky, remind me where your 'base' +1 to initiative comes from.  I know fighters pretty well and I can't think of any reason why you'd have a base +1 to initiative.

Also weird, +8 to damage with the spiked chain?  Where are you getting the extra +4 to damage?  Again, please clear up.

Please clear this up before I start the fight.

First all of, I don't know where you got that base +1 to initiative from.  I looked over my most current sheet, and I find nothing to indicate that I would tell you that.  If you get on before I go to work, I'll PM you and we'll clear it up.

Spiked Chain 2d4+8

+4 STR bonus
+2 Half STR bonus for fighting two-hand
+2 Damage Feat Weapon Specialization

Grand Total= 8

Post by: Dracos on November 13, 2003, 01:27:16 PM
Okay, chain spike cleared.

What I was referring to was this:
===============================================================================
Character: Luciano                    Alignment: Neutral Evil
Race:      Human                          Speed: 30 feet
===============================================================================
     Score Mod |     Total  Base Abil Misc Size Armor | 4 Fighter
Str  18    +4  |ac     18   = 10 +  3 +  0 +  0 +  5  |
Dex  16    +3  |hp     39   = 31 +  8                 |
Con  15    +2  |fort    6   =  4 +  2 +  0            |
Int  14    +2  |ref     4   =  1 +  3 +  0            |
Wis  10    0   |will    1   =  1 +  0 +  0            |
Cha  10    0   |init    4   =  1 +  3 +  0            |
===============================================================================

Note the base 1 written by your init score.  I think it's probably just a typo you carried through.  Either that or something I told you to change earlier and you didn't send me a new sheet.  Something like that.

QUESTION.

Point the first: We are with our backs to the wall, correct?

Point the second: We are standing next to each other, correct?

Question: How the heck are kobolds ganging up on us three at a time? They can't exactly flank us, and despite kobolds being small, I don't think they can easily pile on like that when we're in a vauge notion of a formation.
Title: The Super Tremendous OOC thread of Doom!
Post by: Dracos on November 24, 2003, 01:27:00 PM
Because they are kobolds and are small and wily creatures who can fit and fight in a space smaller than you can.  While they can't do the swarm attacks they would do if you were out in the open, they still can stuff a bunch of them in your face by the sheer fact they barely come up to your waist.

12 AM central on.  I could be persuaded to wake up early and do 8AM, if I knew everyone was coming.

EDIT:  Hmmm, I misread that.  The times above are for wednesday and thursday.  Friday, I no college/work, so I can do it very early, again at 8am if I knew everyone was coming.  Friday evening is when I have my own game, but I am waiting for Rat to be availiable, so Friday evening 10PM on is a possibility.  Saturday morning and afternoon are somewhat of a no-no.  Saturday evening is a different story.  I stay up all night, although, if Saturday evening is chosen, I would like an advanced warning so I know when or when not to out and party.  I can do Sunday morning, again with an advanced warning, so I can go to bed somewhat early on Saturday night.  No Sunday evening for me, as I got work.  I can make it 12 am on, which is when I get off work.  Monday, Tuesday, and Wedsday I work, so 12am on.  Again, I can wake up early if I know everyone is coming.  I might have a meeting on Tuesday morning though, so I just have to wait and see.  All the times above are on central.

Friday to Sunday I'm aviable 11:30 pm EST and later.  Friday is of course when Trunkys game is, but if he needs to wait for Karthuratsu Tanewaki it might not happen... Monday might be same... It all depends on how my schedule looks.  I will be visiting Ra-chan next week so most likely Tue-Wed is out.

Okay, this shambling mound of patheticness that has been imitating a game for the past two months and then some has been ended.  It will not be revived.  It is an ex-game.  It has been dead for a while.  I was considering a speech here to explain why it's ending and what happened, but I'm just tired of it.
