Buying an Antidote, 50 gil
Borrowing 5gil from Janus to do this.

Battle at Mysterious Cave entrance
Gil:
36
Items:
Potionx1
Tentx1 (Tent: Tier 3 consumable, 200 gil, full rest outside of battle. For sleeping in the middle of danger. WARNING: Makers take no responsibility if human opponents find you while resting.)
Claiming temporary custody of the Potion. If we get back to town without using them, we can debate ownership from there.
Ebenezer has the Tent.
Battle against the Mad Pony
Gil:
75
Items:
Leather Gloves (Tier 1 accessory, 265 gil, raises ARM by 1. Gloves made out of supple leather.)
Leather Shield: Tier 1 shield, 60 gil, +3 ARM, +1 M.ARM, +1 AVD. A cheap shield designed to deflect attacks rather than magic.
I'll take the gloves, sure.
The party gained 1 Mad Pony's Skull.
Mad Pony's Skull: Tier 2 component, bone/skull.
Battle 1 within the Western Cave
Gil:
31
Items:
-
From the gray imp you diplomacy-ed.
Imp's Sword: Tier 1 blade, 225 gil, reliable plus fragile plus inflicts transform (imp). A sword that's been around an imp too long. Ew!
Boss battle! The Gate of Skeletons opens!
Each member of the party gains 1 point of destiny! You may change jobs during the week if you choose to.
Gil:
132
Items:
Winter Fan, Leather Gloves, Old Robe
Winter Fan: Tier 1 brawl, 350 gil, counterattack plus element strike (cold). A fan with a snowflake pattern.
Old Robe: Tier 1 light armor, 260 gil, +3 ARM and +7 M.ARM, increases maximum MP by 5. Older than dirt. Possibly literally.
Taking the fan, obviously. If santos wants my old one as Throw fodder I'll let him snag it
Claiming Old Robe for the MP boost, mainly.
Santos and Janus scavenge the following:
Cursed Blood Bones, Tier 2 component, cursed.
Treasure from the ruin
Key Item: Bag of Holding
This bag does not take an inventory slot. It can store up to twenty items within it. Such items are securely kept and do not count against your inventory limit. However, it takes a bit of time to get an item out, so you can't take items out of the bag during combat.
Chest 1: 120 gil
Chest 2: Warm Crystal
Chest 3: Potion
Chest 4: Antidote
Chest 5: Tough Robe
Chest 6: Wolf Berries
Warm Crystal: Tier 1 arcane, 325 gil, quick cast plus element strike (fire). A crystal that has a dash too much fire in it.
Tough Robe: Tier 1 light armor, 255 gil, +4 ARM/+5 M.ARM, +1 PWR plus +1 RES plus -2 MND. A robe for spellcasters who want to be the little warrior.
Wolf Berries: Tier 1 component, berry.
Suggestion to put all the components we've picked up in the Bag of Holding. Also equipment no one wants(unless Santos is using it for Throw bait).
-2 Potions for Crow
+2 Potions for Janus
I've added the Bag of Holding to my sheet, and put all the components we got in it.
I'll do a full cleanup/item sort/gill add+split post once we make it back to town proper.
Total Gil from this Adventure:
33+36+75+31+132+120+24+100 = 551
138 gil for Janus, Morrie and Santos. Crow will take the 137.
Items gained from this adventure:
Potion(Claimed by Janus)
Tent(Claimed by Ebenezer)
Leather Gloves(Claimed by Crow)
Winter Fan(Claimed by Crow)
Old Robes(Claimed by Janus)

I'll take second set of leather gloves, and I don't really care for the imp sword if you want to sell that. Who really wants to turn into an imp?
Well, I figure we can handle selling when we actually get to town.
And official post of "there's nothing else Crow wants from that batch".
Key Item
Ruby crab-stone. A strange stone in the shape of a crab's claw, looking to be made of ruby or a similar gemstone. The zodiac symbol for Cancer can be seen within.
Janus will carry crabimpstone, and claim the shield, I suppose.
Payment from Ebenezer
400 gil
Bounty for the Mad Pony
250 gil
Claiming Potion/Revivify for now. Anyone who wants to borrow, feel free.
Looks like we're selling the Imps Sword, 2 Antidotes, and the Warm Crystal.
Anyone selling any old equipment as well?
I'll sell my old Practice Fan.
Noted. Remember selling is at half price, in the fine tradition of FF games.
Selling the basic Robe I started with. This sells for 62gil; as it was replaced by a found item, Janus splits the money, giving Morrie/Crow 16 and himself and Santos 15.
Morrie will claim the Touph Robe.
Lets add up all money from sold items, then split? Seems less effort that way.
The fan sells for 80. Antidotes for 25 each, so 50 total. Imp Sword sells for 112. Warm Crystal for 162.
Total, this is 324 gold pooled, plus 80 to Crow for her fan.
EDIT: Taking that as tacit approval to add fanmoney to the pool.
That makes it 404 gold, which splits to 101 each.
I don't plan on selling/buying anything at the moment.
Crow makes the following:
Magic Tartx4, tier 1 food, MP restore (25%). A tasty treat for wizards.
Janus buys a Nymph Cloak to let him resist water. Evil, evil water.
He is now at 221 gold.
Glorious Cutlass, tier 2 blade, 700 gil, reliable plus undead eater plus +10 hit points. A sword gifted with the power to smite undead and provide life energy.
Bone Saber, tier 2 blade, 715 gil, reliable plus curse touch plus +10 magic points. A sword charged with the power of curses and strange magic.
I'll sell both of my tonfa and my armor. I'll buy a blessed leather armor.
190 gil for selling my stuff. The others can get 60 gil each, with me getting 10 gil.
Santos is at 45+101+300+10-260 = 196 gil.
Morrie spends 75 gil to make...
Aero Crystal, tier 1 arcane, 150 gil, quick cast plus element strike (wind). A crystal with lots of holes and wind in it.
Morrie spends Crow's 350 gil to make...
Muscle Scarf, tier 2 reach, 700 gil, critical plus +2 PWR plus +5 hit points. Full of pure muscle power!
Crow gives morrie the money for that, then sells her old Practice scarf. This leaves me at 180gp
60 gil for a revivify spent
60 gil spent on making two Revivifies.
[20:07] > roll 2d6+3 attempt to make Revivify 1 (30 gil, tier 1 item)
[20:07] * Hatbot --> "Janus rolls 2d6+3 attempt to make Revivify 1 (30 gil, tier 1 item) and gets 12." [2d6=6, 3]
[20:07] > roll 2d6+3 attempt to make Revivify 2 (30 gil, tier 1 item)
[20:07] * Hatbot --> "Janus rolls 2d6+3 attempt to make Revivify 2 (30 gil, tier 1 item) and gets 10." [2d6=5, 2]
Both succeed. Revivify x2 get.
EDIT: Janus takes Crow's 60 gil, makes two more Revivifies.
[20:08] > roll 2d6+3 attempt to make Revivify 3 (Crow) (30 gil, tier 1 item)
[20:08] * Hatbot --> "Janus rolls 2d6+3 attempt to make Revivify 3 (Crow) (30 gil, tier 1 item) and gets 13." [2d6=5, 5]

[20:08] * Hatbot --> "Janus rolls 2d6+3 attempt to make Revivify 4 (Crow) (30 gil, tier 1 item) and gets 8." [2d6=1, 4]
Difficulty 7. Two more Revivifies made, given back to Crow.

Someone should officially take the Phoenix Down so that we can revive people.
How do we want to handle the Power Source? Roll for it? Sell it? (do they even sell for anything? Most RPGs have you sell stat boost items for like 1 currency, so...)
Yep, 1 gil for a stat booster as noted in the stat block. Someone should use it unless you'd prefer 1 gil.
Well, my abilities run off highest attribute for the most part, so I don't really need it that badly.
Power isn't my main stat, but it'll be one when I change classes. Unless Merc or Maraca man want it.
I'd be interested, it is one of my main stats.
And Iddy, if you were gonna make it one of your main stats, why on earth did you make it your lowest stat on chargen? Weirdo =p
Post it in loot, people. Loot.
Quote from: Nephrite on February 21, 2013, 06:03:17 PM
Consumed 1 Zombie Eye.
[16:54] <Kotono> Actually Iddy, don't you only have ranks in tinkering and cooking? You need weapons to make weapons.
[16:54] <Iddy> Oh shit.
[16:54] <Iddy> You're right.
[16:55] <Iddy> Updated the post asking someone to make it for me >.>
[16:56] <Kotono> Neph has synth(weapons).
[16:57] * Iddy huggles Neph.
[16:57] <Iddy> Please??
[16:59] <Nephrite> Oh dear.
[17:01] <Nephrite> roll 2d6+4 for a Blind Touch weapon via the Zombie Eye
[17:01] <Kobot> Nephrite rolled 2d6+4 for a Blind Touch weapon via the Zombie Eye --> [ 2d6=7 ]{11}
[17:02] <Iddy> Pass?
[17:02] <Kobot> Yes. Post the results in loot and I'll hash itout.
Blackshot Rifle: Tier 2 ranged, 900 gil, ranged plus status touch (blind). A rifle that fires rounds laced with a blindness hex.
Gil split from the last two fights:
150 + 41 = 191 / 4 = 47.75 each.
> roll 2d6+4 Mercantile (Rifle sell back)
<Kobot> Iddy rolled 2d6+4 Mercantile (Rifle sell back) --> [ 2d6=3 ]{7}
> roll 2d6+4 Mercantile (Blessed Leather Armor sell back)
<Kobot> Iddy rolled 2d6+4 Mercantile (Blessed Leather Armor sell back) --> [ 2d6=9 ]{13}
Success on the armor, no joy on the rifle.
Had 145 gil left from chargen. 47.75 from loot, 75 from rifle, 260 from armor. 527.75 total, minus 450 for Iron plate. 77.75 remaining.
Quote from: Merc on February 20, 2013, 11:05:40 PM
I'd be interested, it is one of my main stats.
And Iddy, if you were gonna make it one of your main stats, why on earth did you make it your lowest stat on chargen? Weirdo =p
Because I forgot I wanted to do a shotgun/cannonier knight thingy. Now that I have remembered, I have no interest in your pathetic PWR stat.
Update before next game session. I'm making some assumptions on selling a few things, please let me know if you disagree.
Bag of Holding stuff (pre-Mycol/Lehko):
Sell Old Robe: 260/2 = 130gil = +65gil Santos/Morrie (each)
***
Joined by Mycol/Lehko:
Sell Potion+Imp's Sword: 250/2 = 130gil
>Gil: 130(see above)+32+95+51+140 = 448gil = +112gil Santos/Morrie/Mycol/Lehko (each)
Note: Iddy already added 47.75 from a partial split of the 112gil. Speaking of which, I don't believe there's fractional gil, Iddy. >_>
Claimed: 1x Zombie Eye (for Lehko's rifle)

Glass Scrap, Tier 2 component, glass
PWR Source
On the above, Morrie has requested that somebody else carry the Phoenix Down before. Santos volunteers (assuming Morrie hasn't changed his mind).
Santos is interested in the PWR source, if Mycol isn't interested, otherwise they can rock/paper/scissors for it or something.
Iddy suggested using the Glass Scrap for an MP Regen accessory for Mycol, and using the Iron Scrap for a +RES accessory for either Lehko or Morrie.
Assuming all of the above happen, Bag of Holding inventory goes down to 10/20.
Dune, as an aside, can you include prices on components? Or would you prefer we synthesize something with them and sell that?
Components don't have a price RAW. If you want money from them, craft them into something.
Gon' make an accessory for Neph out of the Iron Scrap, +RES
EDIT: Rolls.
> roll 2d6+7 Tinkering, Iron Scrap
<Kobot> Iddy rolled 2d6+7 Tinkering, Iron Scrap --> [ 2d6=8 ]{15}
Red Cap: Tier 2 accessory, 625 gil, +2 RES. An iron cap painted red. Favored by red mages.
Santos can have the Phoenix Down and Morrie will continue to hold the bag... of... holding.
Done. Y'all still have some zombie eyes and glass scrap. Going to do anything with them, or even forge just to get salable items?
Updated bag.

Iddy claimed the chemspill rifle, I claimed the saber+gauntlets, VSM claimed the cloak. VSM isn't replacing anything, but I assume both Iddy and I are selling our replaced items. Iddy, post if you plan to keep your old rifle as a back-up. Dune, you never posted the price of the blackshot rifle. It's not in Item/pubchat/Iddy's sheet.
Bone Saber: 715 gil (Iddy should try to use gillionaire since this is the priciest item)
Leather Gloves: 215 gil
Blackshot Rifle: ??? gil
Headband: 700 gil (Tier 2, dunno if Mycol would rather have this or the nymph's cloak, and we could always just keep it in the bag of holding for the time being)
Wolf Berry: Component should be used to make either more MP items, for Mycol's benefit or to sell.
Based on decisions about selling old loot and gillionaire results, we can split gil and see if we're buying anything.
Merc: http://www.soulriders.net/forum/index.php/topic,102645.msg1042600/topicseen.html#msg1042600
In particular? See the part at the bottom where it says it's 900 gil.
Edit: As for a houserule for Gillionare? The skill check difficulty equals the difficulty to craft the item. It's a quick and dirty fix but it should work.
hrm...weird, I was looking for it, and couldn't find it. Ah well! Probably was just half-asleep still.
Okay. Since I doubt anyone will complain about the Wolf Berries? Let's start with them. Who's going to snyth them and into what?
Berries can only be made into consumables. That means either Alchemy (Santos) or Cooking (Lehko). Either way, it'd be a +4 roll, and for MP stuff for Mycol, so I'll just roll for it:
[11:47] <Merc> roll 2d6+4
[11:47] * Hatbot --> "Merc rolls 2d6+4 and gets 8." [2d6=1, 3]
I think I barely made something with tier 1 components?
Santos makes the following:
Ether: Tier 1 consumable, 50 gil, MP restore (25%). Restores magic power with mysterious fluids.
To clarify: That's 4 ethers, not one. You generally make 4 consumables with synthing.
Failed attempt at synthesis:
[17:08] * Hatbot has joined #ffgaming
[17:11] <Nephrite> roll 2d6+4 to try and make tier 3 armor
[17:11] * Hatbot --> "Nephrite rolls 2d6+4 to try and make tier 3 armor and gets 8." [2d6=3, 1]
Unfortunately your hard earned gil turns into...Oh wait. I can't find an image of Star Ocean 2's failed item creation results. Too bad. Try try again when there's more gil. -750 gil due to costs, pretty sure you already deducted this.
In the words of Celine Jule: Goodness, darling... How AWFUL.
Selling: the headband, bone saber, leather gloves.
Gillionaire-ing: Blackshot Rifle.
Okay, roll Gillionare and post the results.
> roll 2d6+4 (Mercantile) to Gillionaire Blackshot
* Hatbot --> "Iddy rolls 2d6+4 (Mercantile) to Gillionaire Blackshot and gets 9."12 [2d6=4, 1]
Success, you get full value for the rifle. Okay, some tally up your gains and post updated gil/item bag.
548+(715+215)/2+900 = 1913 gil to split between the four of us = 478 gil to each of us. Nephrite gets an extra gil, just because there's no fractional gil.

Since I bet it will come up, what are the stats on the Silver Armor?
Tier 2 heavy armor, 1,200 gil, +12 ARM, +12 M.ARM, +2 MND plus status proof (poison) plus status proof (zombie) plus special. Holy armor made from shining silver.
Special: White mages can equip silver armor without penalty.
Hrm....No white mages and I think the sword is better, barring anybody else job changing to white mage or something that can use heavy armor?
Didn't you job change into warrior, Merc? They can use heavy armor.
I did, but that's why I said I think the sword is better.
Besides the fact that it'll sell for more if resold, it gives pwr/dex/res. Mind is the stat I least care about, and while status (zombie/poison) are probably good, in general I just think if it came down to me, I'd stick with the sword. Still dunno if anyone else might prefer the armor though.
Fair enough. The armor's good but it's notably designed for a paladin or cleric with that MND boost.
Cleric, he says.
White mage. Still in D&D mode right now.
Yes, yes you are. Silly Ko. =p
I shall claim the Silver Sword, and then trade it in for Silver Armor! FOR GREAT JUSTICE!
(Discussed it with Merc, he said that even though he could use the sword, he doesn't mind passing on it)
Though, I'd like to try this in-game. Merc pointed out that the silver armor is worth 1200 and the sword is 1500, so I'd like to at least try to make up the difference.
Crafting Note: The Rage Silver abilities are:
Rage - Tier 2 - Berserk Touch, Auto‐Berserk, Berserk Heal, SOS‐Berserk, Pugilist, Fear Heal
If anyone wants an accessory (from me) or weapon or armor (from others) out of this, let me know.
Yes! Use your rank 4 negotiate! And I'll pass on Rage trinket right now.
This is simply a note to myself to buy a Cursed Bracer before we leave town.
Planning to hire a wandering white mage?
Or a Paladin. :)
How convenient!
(If there's further discussion, move it to the pub.)
Welp. Summoned Titan today. 2 destiny.
EDIT: Actually, 1 destiny. I'm pact-bound. Duh.
Wouldn't it be just 1 destiny? Since you have his pact boon of +4 RES, I figured you'd met his devotion at the same time as you made the pact? Devotion gives you the pact boon and -1 cost on destiny to summon.
-1 Silver Sword, +1 Silver Armor.
Tier 2 heavy armor, 1,200 gil, +12 ARM, +12 M.ARM, +2 MND plus status proof (poison) plus status proof (zombie) plus special. Holy armor made from shining silver.

That's actually pretty good for Santos. He'll try it out for a while, but won't sell his blessed leather armor just yet.

Pistol 2: S&W Resolve
Tier 2 ranged, 900 gil, ranged plus +2 RES. Makes you as tough as a behemoth! Sorta.
We don't need so many HP/MP items, and I need to clear out my inventory a bit. I'm selling six of the potions (25*6/2 = 75 gil) and one ether from the bag (20/2 = 10 gil). Santos then takes the last potion from the bag for his inventory.
So 85 gil = 21 gil each, with one person getting 22 gil.
I'll take one of the 387 gil portions and the 22 gil portion. That leaves the two 388 portions for Mycol+Morrie.
1050+387+22 = 1459 gil for Santos right now.

-1 Destiny for summoning Shiva vs. Runes in the battle for ancient treasure chests!
The chests from the green-glow room hold the following:
1: 2000 gil
2: Antidotex5
3: X-Potion
4: Bomb Fragment
5: Mail of Tragedy
6: Clear Ice
7: Poisona Tome, Water Tome
8: HP Source
X-Potion: Tier 5 consumable, 3000 gil, HP restore (100%). Rare and effective full healing potion.
Mail of Tragedy: Tier 1 medium armor, 1 gil, +0 ARM, +0 M.ARM, +50 hit points, +50 magic points, all successful attacks against you are automatically critical hits and natural critical hits reduce you to zero HP. Armor cursed by a murder. Was once a noble set of armor.
Clear Ice: Tier 2 component, ice.
Poisona Tome: Tier - consumable, 1 gil. Teaches user Poisona. (Notes: Can be used by anyone. It's treated as a spell you learned and thus can be used in any class.)
Water Tome: Tier - consumable, 1 gil. Teaches user Water.
HP Source: Tier - consumable, 1 gil, raises max HP by 5.
1: 2000 gil - 500 gil for everyone!
2: Antidotex5 - Sell these, in my opinion.
3: X-Potion - Trade this for an HP Source.
4: Bomb Fragment - Put this in the bag.
5: Mail of Tragedy - Morrie has offered to take this and hold onto it until they can find a Notorious Monster.
6: Clear Ice - Anyone need something made from this?
7: Poisona Tome, Water Tome - Claimed by Lehko, Claimed by Mycol.
8: HP Source - I suggest this one go to Mycol, and the other go to Santos.
So the only things up in the air are if everyone agrees on the X-Potion, if we're selling the antidotes, and what to do with the Clear Ice. If nothing else, I'll probably make some T2 armor with +RES if possible for that.
1. Yay.
2. Agreed. Though possibly only sell four, so we have a nice divisible number of gil!
3. I'd actually rather keep or sell the X-Potion? Five HP typically doesn't seem to be making much of a difference in this game.
4. Agreed.
5. Works for me. The trick is in finding one that we can attack in a controlled environment, and not deal with other attacks.
6. I think Morrie is the one in most need of upgrades. Make some armor!
7. Agreed.
8. See 3. No problem with one going to Mycol.
Consider the Poisona tome consumed. Added to my char sheet.
If we don't need another HP Source, I am not opposed to holding onto the X-Potion or selling it.

Success! Morrie crafts the following:
Ice Mail: Tier 2 medium armor, 950 gil, +10 ARM, +11 M.ARM, element ward (ice) plus special. Armor made out of non-melting ice.
Special: Once per combat, a geomancer wearing Ice Mail may treat the terrain as Snow for the sake of geomancy.
Is Lehko allowed to Gillionaire my stuff, or did he lose that when he swapped to Paladin?
*Tier 1 Arcane Weapon, Basic Crystal- 150g
*Tough Robe: Tier 1 light armor, 255 gil, +4 ARM/+5 M.ARM, +1 PWR plus +1 RES plus -2 MND. A robe for spellcasters who want to be the little warrior.
*Tier 1 Medium Armor, Leather Armor - 100g

1778 total in gil only. In addition, we will be selling the following items (or so I assume)
Vitality Crystal 202
Stone Knife 175
Stone Katana 200
Mage's Hat (try and Gillionaire this one) 325 -- Mycol might want to take this one? If not, just Gillionaire it.
I will assume either Santos or Lehko will want the Opal shield as an option.
I will go over the crafting components and see if there's anything useful we can make with 'em.
I would suggest we make something from the Rage Silver again, perhaps a Berserk-Touch weapon for someone?
Wolf Berries should be made into more MP Recovery items in my opinion.
Oh, we'll also probably sell the Sprint Shoes.
EDIT: Mycol should take the two Vampire Fangs, in my opinion, since he has the highest likelihood of using them.
EDIT2: Or Santos, since they run off PWR.
I can carry the vampire fangs, but I'd be unlikely to use them unless they can be used to make ranged attacks, to use against flying enemies. Mycol might be better just for that.
Why'd you list 225 gil for the vitality crystal? Ko's post says 405 gil, so that'd be the better item to gillionaire.
I listed them at the 50% price point that we'd get normally without Gillionaire.
EDIT: Except I transposed numbers and thought the crystal was 450. Whoops! Fixed now.
I was about to ask about that. Okay then.

The merchant is impressed by Lehko's stunning display of mercantile skill. He offers a trade instead. He'll give you the following for the mage's hat and 400 gil:
Black Mage's Cap, tier 3 accessory, 2,500 gold, +3 MND plus special. The iconic hat of any black mage.
Special: A black mage that wears this cap gains status proof (seal) and element enhancer (fire, ice, lightning).
If you aren't interested he'll just give you the gillionare boosted price of the mage's hat instead.
I say we should chip in for it, you never know when someone might be a Black Mage. It also might be pretty good for Mycol since it boosts his MP.
I'm claiming the shield, giving money to Lehko to buy the Black Mage's Cap, and selling my Nymph's Cloak.
So I lose 400 gil, but get 120 back, for a loss of 280 gil, which I'll mark.

Stone Knife 175

Recalculate any changes and keep the wolf's sheet on your sheet. You'll be responsible for keeping it up. The wolf can't equip weapons or armor, nor can it use items. It can equip a single accessory if possible for the wolf to use.

Also, I have retrained synthesis to weaponmaking. Using up 2,400 gil to craft two tier 3 weapons. I'm going to be rolling in #dunes for:

Fire Kaiser, tier 3 brawl, 3105 gil, counterattack plus element ward (fire) plus +1 AVD. The symbol of a legendary king. Grants great martial skill.

Morrie is taking the Lodestone.
Phoenix Down should probably be taken by either Santos or Mycol.
Don't think we need more Potions or Revivify items, so sell them.
Fire tome can go to whomever.
Mycol should take the Bikini.
Make stuff with the Fire Ore & Zombie Eye & Wolf Berries.
2x Flame Saber, sell
Imp's Armor, sell
Star Pendant... keep, I guess.
Cold Iron Maracas should be sold if Mycol doesn't want them.
Re: Fire Tome. Chat consensus should be that Mycol gets first crack at it. Is he interested?
I would HAPPILY take the Maracas and the Bikini. I might even use one or both.
And I'd also happily take Fire if the rest of the party recommends it. More elements is always good.

Mycol - Cold Iron Maracas, Magical Bikini, Fire Tome
Lehko - S&W Almighty
Santos - Phoenix Down, Potion

Items (Sell):

Red Ring (1000/2 = 500 gil)
Imp's Armor (300/2 = 150 gil)
Star Pendant (650/2 = 325 gil)
Revivify (60/2 = 30 gil)
(Total gil = 2355)
Items (Trade):
Santos will give the Lovely Potion to Mycol to hold, since he goes Berserk because of his armor when best opportunity to apply it generally occurs.
Components: (Craft them all, consider selling then)
Zombie Eye (http://www.soulriders.net/forum/index.php/topic,102645.msg1044842.html#msg1044842) - Crafted above, 1045 gil, for Mycol.
Fire Ore - Neph will retrain to get alchemy and make spellburst (melt) bombs. We'll probably keep those.
Comments:
I'm going to assume Morrie's not selling any of his old equipment, and is keeping stuff for variety. Same for Mycol and the cold iron + eyeball maracas, though I assume he'll sell the glass vest for the magical bikini (This would add 660/2 = 330 gil to the loot split). I'll assume Iddy is replacing his S&W Resolve and sell that for the Almighty (This would add 900/2 = 450 gil to the loot splits).
Based on above, 3735+2355+330+450 = 6870 gil total = 6870/4: 1717 gil for two people, 1718 gil for two others.
I know Morrie suggested that Lehko grab the ring, but I think we're better off selling it, as Lehko's current accessory does more for him now that we're out of the volcano, and not sure how often fire ward will be needed right now (up to him, but split changes to -125 gil to everyone if he keeps it).
People should comment if they're selling equipment as per assumptions above (or something differently to redo math), or if they're keeping stuff, and Lehko should post on the ring as well.

I am going to sell my Aero Crystal for 75 gil.
Morrie makes 4 of the following:
Meltbomb: Tier 2 consumable, 90 gil, casts melt when used as an item and uses the user's stats to determine damage. Full of face-melting power.
Do those incur the negative effects of Melt, even though they're technically being thrown?
Yes. Bear that in mind when using them. It's (PWR*2)+2d6 backlash, right?
Indeed.
Okay, just keep that in mind. Also selling the Aero Crystal is without incident. Any other sales, y'all?
I'll probably sell the other two Bomb Fragments and a Potion or two since I really don't need them.
Officially selling Aero Crystal, 2x Bomb Fragments and 4x Potions for a total of

Just guess how Santos unlocked this. Just guess.
Suggest Santos take the Vampire Fang again. Probably useless against Lich, but still.
We should hold onto the Staves because I don't want to give them to innocent townspeople right now.
I think Mycol ought to take the MND Source, he can use it for both attacks and MP.
Who wants the HP Source?
We should make a +Negotiation item with the Ruby, unless we want a Berserk-proof item.
I'll be selling some of our consumables since we really do not need almost 10 Revivify items.
I'll take the HP source since no one else has spoken up. If we want a +negotiation item, I can try for an accessory.

Can we make items that grant us Float status?

Quote from: Nephrite on July 24, 2013, 02:26:48 AM
Can we make items that grant us Float status?
Yes. RAW it would be a tier six food since that's the level of auto-status. I'm not sure if I want to keep that there. In any case, float's probably not tier 1/2 so making it would be tricky. I'll settle down and work it out over the week.
QuoteEDIT: and what were the rules on +stat food? Or potions? I don't know if there's a functional difference there.
Tier 2 or higher, grants a bonus to a single stat equal to the tier of the food.
Making Sources and permanent HP boosters is beyond the ability of item creation. In other words, those are found at the discretion of the DM.
I just meant if there was a functional difference between "Tanky Clams" For +2 Res and "Tanky Potion" For +2 Res.

A handful of character goals have been met, so I'm going to be doling out rewards now.
Santos: None.
You're getting close to a few of them most likely. Stay tuned.
Morrie: Find the mystery of Glacierwind Valley
With the gathering of the espers and the defeat of Lich, Morrie now knows what is going on in Glacierwind Valley. He gains 2 points of destiny! As an added bonus, the knowledge he has gained gives him a bonus skill point. This skill point must be spent on a lore skill.
Mycol: None.
You're making headway but none have really come home yet. You're closest on time since you've spent some effort trying to explain how time works to people.
Lehko: Show that Mithra men are tough enough to be let out on their own.
Helping defeat Lich and the numerous battles you've survived certainly proves that point. You gain 2 points of destiny! In addition, your RES score rises by 1 point.
Penelo: None.
You're new, though Lich's staff could qualify for your first goal. More on yours once you have a few more sessions under your belt.
Penelo will happily lay claim to the Lich Staff. She's looking for a powerful staff, and quick cast x2 will speed up her ability to fight rather nicely, mmmm yes yes.
It does fit you well. VSM/Neph, are either of you interested too, since you use arcane weapons?

I am not going to take the staff, it's better in the hands of the mages.
Fair enough.

Already in my inventory.
Neph, barring any more battles on the way back to town and any selling you'll do, how much gil will each of you get?
2867, or 573 for everyone, and 574 for two.
I was actually thinking that it might be easier to keep track of if we all just pooled the money we all had and I'd keep track of it. I'm not going to force it on anyone if you'd all prefer to keep your own amounts, it's just a suggestion so I don't have to keep dividing it all the time.
Y'all are fairly communal to begin with, so this isn't a bad idea. What do you all think?
Neph, would that make bookkeeping easier on you?
It would, because when we mass sell stuff it'd save me a lot of time.
I'm fine with it.
Don't really care. I was just going to start saving up for tier 4 weapons and wait for tier 3 armor/accessories, otherwise, I wasn't planning on spending money.
I'm fine with Neph bookkeeping all the gil. It'd make it easier to know how much we have.
Okay. Pending VSM not wanting to do this (and I suspect he'll be fine with it), this looks like it'll pass. I'd like each of you to do the following.
1. Make sure you're caught up with the last gil distribution. I believe it was after you cleared Pasturburg, correct me if I'm wrong.
2. Post your gil here so Neph can combine them all together.
This won't be official until VSM has a chance to speak up, but I'd like to get prepped in the meantime.
675 gil from the moogle. Shall I strike this from the char sheet?
Not until it's official.
2992 gil from me.
Yeah, pooling the moneys is fine. Add my 3225 to the pile.
EDIT
Furthermore, it occurs to me that my accessory is likely better off in the hands of Penelo, now that the party has an actual black mage. I'd like to officially offer it to her, if Soul wants it.
Okay Neph, how much is the party's gil pool then?
Penelo, are you interested in the hat?
It wouldn't hurt to take the hat. I don't know what the special ability on it is but I imagine it'd be covered if I gain posession of the hat.
... That's a yes. Sorry.
You may have it. I'll take another accessory from the bag, or maybe someone can craft me one before next session.
In case you don't see it on my Status Screen, it is as follows:
Black Mage's Cap, tier 3 accessory, 2,500 gold, +3 MND plus special. The iconic hat of any black mage.
----Special: A black mage that wears this cap gains status proof (seal) and element enhancer (fire, ice, lightning).
Updated my Character sheet. Added my new HP, MP (have to recalculate this and Finesse again, because I just lost 3 MND.) Put another point in Language and Stealth. Learned Runic, Aspir, and Life.

I can craft whatever you want, but not before next game. We're in a dungeon, so it has to be done in-game once we get out. Figure out what you want and keep it in mind for game.
We have a total of 16,494 Gil.
OK. Class Changed to White Mage. This changed my HP and MP again, gave me Body and Soul as an innate, at the cost of 3 destiny. (Yes, we can class change for free after a boss fight, but I wanted the level 4 Red Mage level, first, and it feels much less gamey for me to suffer some kind of penalty.)

Okay, and this is important, what tier and what effect, precisely?
Think the cookies are tier 4 with 50% restore.
Yeah, but HP/MP restore 50% is tier 3.
Dunno. Going off the cost in the book for the sample item, it's tier 4. I think that may be because it includes a status cure effect, which I'm not that interested in.

8x Oatmeal Cookies. Tier 3 food, 200 gil, mp restore (50%). Delicious cookies.

nothing on my end, though we should get all crafting out of the way so we can enjoy the roleplay if there is anymore crafting to be had. would be a shame to waste another hour of gametime on the upgrades. though I do understand the full importance of why it happened when it did. we had to get out of the dungeon and all that.
Agreed, though I sort of needed some downtime mid session due to suddenly feeling under the weather. Normally I'd have put it off until after session.
Anyone want to do accessory upgrades?
I wouldn't mind upgrading my +RES accessory to T3. T4 is way too expensive for an accessory slot.
Okay then. Iddy, roll'n'post, including the total price after the accessory and the stats of Gildas' old accessory.
By Gildas I mean Morrie. Game mixup.
Upgrading Morrie's Red Cap from Tier 2 to Tier 3.
> roll 2d6+8 Tinkering: Red Cap +1 Tier
* Hatbot --> "Iddy rolls 2d6+8 Tinkering: Red Cap +1 Tier and gets 17."12 [2d6=3, 6]
Cost is: 1000 (base) - 625 (Red Cap value) = 375 g

This has happened repeatedly already, so allow me to emphasize this point.
In case there's confusion if the synther or the owner should post it, the synther should when he provides the rest of the requested information.
Red Cap: Tier 2 accessory, 625 gil, +2 RES. An iron cap painted red. Favored by red mages.
Much better, thank you.
Shiny Red Cap: Tier 3 accessory, 2150 gil, +3 RES plus skill bonus (lore:everything +2). Favored by red mages who have touched the Optimization Force.
12794 Gil left.
Also, I'd like to buy the Gaia's Gift armor, but it's pretty expensive. If we bought that and the Wagon, we'd only have about 1500 gil left over.
Could we maybe do a Mercantile or Negotiation with the shop to see if we could get the price a little lower?
I dunno what I'm rolling on, but it was requested, so it is done:
<Nephrite> Iddy, do your Mercantile thing to try and get a lower price for the expensive item!
> Okay.
> roll 2d6+8 Mercantile: Whatever Neph wanted me to roll on

He'll offer a trade for it instead. He'll accept any of the following sets of items:
1 X-Potion and 1 Lapis
Any materia. You happen to have an ice materia, so you actually know what this is.
5 Phoenix Downs and 5 Hi-Potions
A PWR, RES, MND or DEX Source
Drain Tome
I'm all for trading the materia if others are.
Good with me.
Go for it.
I have no issue with it if none of the people that can benefit from +1 mind care. That materia is terrible for me.
Okay, barring VSM speaking up, the trade goes through without incident.
VSM, if you want to keep the materia, speak up now.
-6k gil for the wagon, y'all. This will be touched on IC this session since it's being built.
Unless someone has any concerns with saving up money for something else, I am interested in boosting my tier 2 armor to tier 3, and my tier 2 accessory to tier 4.
[(Tier 3 armor + Tier 4 accessory) - (Tier 2 armor + Tier 2 accessory)]/2 = [(1500+7500)-(450+600)]/2 = 3975 gil
Also, assuming the above is correct (which sounded like Ko's intent from the channel), please note that some of the previous upgrades on the thread are incorrect.
No, the cost is
(Half of Tier 4 (3750)) - (Cost of your Accessory (650)) = 3100 Gil + using your accessory.
For your armor, it's
(Half of Tier 3 (750)) - (Cost of your armor (1000)) = 0 + using your armor for the synthesis.

8x Oatmeal Cookies. Tier 3 food, 200 gil, mp restore (50%). Delicious cookies.
As a reminder, Mycol has 2 Chocolate Chip Cookies and 2 Oatmeal Cookies. Santos has 2 Chocolate Chip Cookies. I'm posting this update because they haven't appeared in their inventories yet.

1200 Gil consumed.
3/4, so you get three Phoenix Downs. Enjoy!
How's the bag look now?
Also, subtracting the Materia and officially adding the Gaia's Gift armor to Morrie's sheet.
Done. Enjoy!
<Santos> Also, someone roll for upgraded/destroyed armor+accessory! And whomever wants to deal with the math of the cost go deal with it. I still don't think it makes sense, but as long as it makes sense to someone and I don't have to do that math and still get my gear, I'm happy!
> roll 2d6+9 Accessory: Santos' thing
* Hatbot --> "Lehko rolls 2d6+9 Accessory: Santos' thing and gets 16."12 [2d6=4, 3]
Sooooo...the fuck is Santos' thing? I'd really like to know so I can rule and post!
[19:20] <Morrie> roll 2d6+5 Upgrading Santos' Armor from Tier 2 to Tier 3
[19:20] * Hatbot --> "Morrie rolls 2d6+5 Upgrading Santos' Armor from Tier 2 to Tier 3 and gets 11." [2d6=4, 2]
Current armor is: Tier 2 medium armor, 1,000 gil, +12 ARM, +8 M.ARM, +1 PWR plus +2 RES plus SOS-Berserk. Armor made for those who rely on rippling muscles and screaming.
Cost is 0.
It's still what I said before. Tier 2 to Tier 4 accessory, and Tier 2 to Tier 3 armor.
Existing gear values:
Barbarian's Mail - Tier 2 medium armor, 1,000 gil, +12 ARM, +8 M.ARM, +1 PWR plus +2 RES plus SOS-Berserk. Armor made for those who rely on rippling muscles and screaming.
Iron Gauntlets, tier 2 accessory, 650 gil, +4 ARM. Protective gauntlets.
And I am not getting involved with cost or whatever. That's up to Dune and purse guy Morrie!
Okay, let's do this shit.
Berserker's Mail, tier 3 medium armor, 2140 gil, +20 ARM, +15 M.ARM, +1 PWR plus +3 RES plus SOS-Berserk. Armor for the savage warrior in you.
Mithril Gauntlets, tier 4 accessory, 7500 gil, +15 ARM. Gauntlets lined with valuable mithril.
Penelo is obtaining a Phoenix Down to carry from Morrie. Marked it on my sheet.

The wagon now provides an additional 40 item slots! These items are inaccessible in combat or when you're away from the wagon. It's best to use it for overflow storage or for things you want to keep but not use right away.
Wagon needs cannons! How much would it cost to put some magical cannons on it? =p

You don't know much about it, but it looks impressive and was part of a massive machine. You should be able to do something with it, right?
This item is huge and takes 5 slots to carry on person. It can't be stored in the bag, though the wagon is big enough.

We're back in town. What will y'all be selling?
Gillionaire the Dead Crystal, we should make something from the Malboro Tentacle (any ideas?) and maybe see if any shop is interested in trading the Poison Materia, unless anyone wants it.
We can keep or sell the Remedy. If we sell it, we should Gillionaire it instead of the Crystal. Or trade it for something.
I'll sell 3 Revivifies and all the Potions we have.
Does anyone want the Mushboom outfit for any reason? Mycol may want to use it for some Perform... thing. I dunno.
Y'all may also want to check out Galimond's pawn shop.
