So, I saw Indy 4 the other day and it was pretty cool. I know there was hatin' on it and it's definitely a leave your mind at the door bit, but I found it pretty enjoyable. Indy being Indy was fairly snappy. A lot of the logical inconsistencies were of epic enough size to make me forgive them in the same way that a shattered building is an eyesore but a perfectly flat plane stretching for miles where a city should be suddenly seems neat again.
High Points:
Indy being Indy
Little scenes
MSTing it whenever we got bored
The Nuke.
Low Points:
It made no sense. :D
I was worried it would be a disappointment on the scale of Phantom Menace or at least Temple of Doom, but was pleasantly surprised. I agree the movie had high and low points, though I put the nuke in the low points. While I prefer the 30's pulp for setting, the actors ages made it logical to set it in the 50's, and it was definitely true to 50's pulp.
I waver. I put it in the high points because as silly as it was, and it was downright silly, Indy glaring at a nuclear explosion for being in his way is a pretty badass picture. I could totally see that as a wall paper.
