[21:03] <Kotono> ---
[21:04] <Kotono> Whimisical Sweets gathers. It is an occasion devoid of light or happiness, heads bowed. Josa leads the way to the cemetary, in the Old City near the Temple of Helm. He wears black, as do Sylvie and Simmer. Even Silver's along, head bowed as she flutters alongside Josa.
[21:06] * Aaeru is there in her usual blue clothes, making do with a somber mood instead.
[21:07] * Janson doesn't have any special black funeral clothes, so settles for wearing what he normally wears and then slapping an illusion of them being black on top, taking Sylvie's hand as he follows along to wherever they're having the service.
[21:08] <Andria> Andrea stands near Olan, wearing a simple dark-colored outfit, devoid of her usual armor, just waiting for things to move along.
[21:08] <Wayland> Having nothing else, Wayland is here in his blue robes with the white trim. He nods to Josa.
[21:13] <Kotono> Olan follows, wearing a cloak of rosy red and gold. His head is bowed and face utterly somber. You head to the graveyard. Here graves lie aplenty, as well as several sealed masoleums. Near two graves in particular stand several figures. Croger is there, as well as a familiar face - Father Ceiar of Helm. Coming closer, you can see the tombstones. They are sturdy stone, carved well and decorated
[21:13] <Kotono> . One says Noel and one says Branna, and beneath each is a simple caption 'A good and brave man'.
[21:14] * Janson winces that nobody could think of anything original or meaningful to say for either of them.
[21:17] <Kotono> Josa looks to them and bows his head again. "Thank you," he says to both of th epriests. "We are ready."
[21:19] <Kotono> Father Ceiar nods to Josa, "Let us begin with words about the departed," he begins, "Do any of you wish to speak of Noel or Branna?"
[21:20] * Janson looks expectantly at Wayland.
[21:22] <Wayland> "I will, yes." Wayland says.
[21:25] <Kotono> "Go ahead then," Father Ceiar says.
[21:31] <Wayland> "I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Noel and Branna for very long. I had originally recruited them from Qesala's service to help them turn their lives around, perhaps to make a difference for the better, instead of being strongarms for brigands and Sharrans. Together, we have done good things, and helped good people. They helped us to save lives. They died fighting to protect our group and
[21:31] <Wayland> our client's interest from certain death and damnation in Hell. Though I did not know them long, it has been my privilege to have known them at all. They had strong hearts, and the conviction to see a job done. Wherever they are, I sincerely hope that they are both at peace with their lives and themselves."
[21:33] * Aaeru bows her head in silence.
[21:34] * Janson likewise bows his head, making a murmur of agreement with Wayland's kind words.
[21:35] <Kotono> Sylvie does the same, eyes closed as she murmurs something. Josa is a mask of reserved sorrow, while Simmer sniffles. Father Ceiar nods, "Those whos erve and attend to duty in this life find reward in the next. Know that vigilant service brings eternal reward." After a murmured few words in Celestial, "Does anyone else wish to speak?"
[21:37] <Kotono> Sylvie nods, "I'll say a few words," she says, stepping forward.
[21:40] <Kotono> Turning to the others, "I didn't know them long either...and I'll be honest, they weren't entirely bright." A sad smile shows on Sylvie's face, "Wayland's right. They were thugs. But you know what? They applied themselves to what they did. When I worked with them a few times, they really gave it an effort. They gave it all the way until the end, when they died for it. I'd like to thing that
[21:40] <Kotono> means something. We owe them a debt for helping Wayland and Janson escape alive, so...thank you." she concludes, returning to where she was.
[21:42] <Kotono> "Indeed," Father Ceiar says, coming forward again. "Will any others speak now?"
[21:43] <Aaeru> "They are in a better place," Aaeru states with certainty for her part in the eulogy.
[21:44] <Kotono> "Yeah, no more Hell bonfires for them," Simmer chimes in, wiping ather eyes.
[21:45] * Janson feels bad for the dead pair and decides to volunteer himself, "I didn't know them well either... but whatever they did with their lives, they faced their deaths with bravery and dignity," he decides it a posthumous favour not to mention Noel's pants-wetting panic after Branna died. "It's a shame for us all that we don't have a chance to get to know them better anymore."
[21:45] <Kotono> "They were good employees," Josa adds, "Good men who fell before their time."
[21:48] <Kotono> At this Croger comes forward. He goes besides each grave, sprinkling holy water over them. He then kneels, "Oh Ilmater, Father of Suffering and He who takes our pain from us. Give us your blessing, so that these souls are now forever free of life's miseries. Let them be free in peace, forever liberated."
[21:50] * Aaeru adds her own prayers to Croger's, closing her eyes in concentration.
[21:51] * Janson bows his head and clasps his hands as seems to be the done thing.
[21:52] <Kotono> "Mystra, Lathander, Oghma, Sune, Alicia, Seira, Umberlee..." Sylvie murmurs that quietly as she bows her head again. Simmer sniffles more and wipes her eyes, looking at the graves.
[21:54] * Wayland bows his head as well.
[21:56] <Kotono> There is a long silence, "And to a better tomorrow," Croger says, looking skyward. He then comes over to Wayland, shaking his hand. "The tombstones and the rituals were already taken care of." he explains, "I'ms orry for all your losses."
[21:58] <Wayland> "You have our thanks, Croger." Wayland says, returning the shake.
