You know we need one.
Iris pays 34 gold and Thyan pays 41 gold for the shard.
Iris probably isn't going to want to keep that shard, as it takes away from her primary stat. The two people who rely on strength are Morana & Aleira. Either of you have a more pressing need for it?
If anyone else wants it, pipe up please.
Iris will be handing it over at the earliest possible opportunity, yes. As soon as we're away from Mal.
I'd rather not go into Int 7 territory, so Morana will unfortunately pass on it. Aleira can have it if she wants it.
It's all you, Zeph. Congrats.
Unless Gate wants it more. Depends on his build I suppose.
The shards can be taken in and out, so it's not like they have to stay with the same person forever, anyway. Feel free to customize as you need to.
Well of course Gate wouldn't get it right away! He's not even in the game yet!
Sure, I'll take it!
Sale of Ilasaum: 2,300 gold.
Illasaum
This herb can be used to aid healing. When used to remove poison with a heal check, a dose of this herb grants a +5 bonus. Alternately, the herb can be eaten. This heals 1d8+3 points of damage. Fiora picked enough for 6 doses.
Fiora will be keeping hers, and as such bow out of a share of the selling of the rest of it.
Morana should have picked about the same amount as Gate. She'd sell her shares though.
Thyan, being the pragmatic survivalist, would sell about half and keep the rest, and try to find out how to properly use it for healing stuffs.
I'm not even going to bother claiming my share since my internet pooped out.
Hamish stuffed his bag full. He'll be selling it all.

Up to you guys, though with how people miss sessions/have net problems, I don't think it's fair to penalize players like that.
Anyway, the 2300 GP was assuming selling everything but Fiora's 6 doses. If Thyan is keeping half of his share (3 doses), that reduces the party take to 2108.34 gold to be divvied up how you guys see fit. Have this done before we start and sheets updated, okay?

Knowledge: Nature covers plants. So that skill would let you know what you could do with it. Heal checks can be attempted untrained, so the poison removing bonus would give you a decent check there even untrained. It doesn't take any knowledge to eat the herb, so that function can be used without difficulty. If you wanna study how to use herbs and the like to heal, that's fine and it could be interesting. I'd recommend dropping a few skill ranks into Heal, both to represent this and to give you a decent total modifier for it. Also, you may find it worthwhile to pick up a healer's kit from the SRD. It's limited uses, but fairly cheap and offers a +2 circumstance bonus to heal checks.
As a further note, if you're interested in Heal ranks, it's a class skill for Ranger. I'd let you retrain a few skill ranks into that at next level up if you're interested.

That's 527.085 gold divided evenly among the remaining characters. If you didn't keep yer herbs, be puttin' that on her sheety-thing there.
EDIT: THIS IS ALL WRONG
The correct amount gained by everyone is 585.65.
Thyan gains 351.39
Fiora gains nothing, but keeps her herbs. She may sell them at a later date if she wants.
Astral loot
Heap of platinum coins
Garlic smelling dagger
Tried to appraise the platinum:
> roll d20 Appraise
<Kobot> Iddy rolled d20 Appraise --> [ 1d20=14 ]{14}
Platinum coins:
These coins were minted in the 'Arganian Empire', which doesn't ring any bells. They look like pure platinum but Thyan can't accurately appraise them. They're worth a lot at least, that he's sure of.
Looks like we'll actually have to lug them around until we can find someone to value them. Platinum is obnoxiously valuable.
And then our merry band will be obnoxiously rich?
Probably not. I doubt Ko's gonna drop a million gold on us with those DCs. We'd have to pull off some epic combo of clever roleplaying and unbelievably amazing rolls.
That isn't to say the coins aren't worth a decent hunk of money, at least.
Oh right, of course, but we're likely not rich enough to retire from ADVENTURING.
Besides, your patron would haunt your dreams.
There is that, yes. She'd probably frown mightily at us until we got moving again.
Roll for ID on dagger:
<Iris> roll 1d20+15 yep, here it is
* Hatbot --> "Iris rolls 1d20+15 yep, here it is and gets 22."12 [1d20=7]
Garlicbane
This knife has a dull, worn sheen and several nicks all over. However, what is most noticiable about it is an overwhelming smell, resembling that of fresh garlic. It functions as a dagger+3, undead bane. However, the scent the knife emits is impossible to miss. Any creature with a sense of smell within 30ft automatically notices the smell, rendering ambushes difficult. Creatures with the scent quality notice the creature up to 100ft away. In addition, they may ascertain which square the bearer is in as a free action.
Garlicbane's smell is not smothered by a sheathe, but burying it under several layers (such as in a backpack) is sufficient to smother the smell. However, whatever is used to contain it and whatever is immediately nearby will smell of garlic.
Finally, Garlicbane may create 1d6+3 cloves of fresh garlic once per day as a full round action. This garlic is fully edible.
Iris knows jack all about ancient coins.
<Iris> roll 1d20+4 Hatoboto engage
* Hatbot --> "Iris rolls 1d20+4 Hatoboto engage and gets 8."12 [1d20=4]
Iris think-oooh. Oh! OH! So shiny, so hard and metallic and rich. Iris closes her eyes and holds those coins close to her, sighing in contentment. These coins are...huh? Where was she? Oh right. No idea. None. Nope.
Oh well.
Since I'm just now noticing the weapon group stuff makes me nonproficient with the bow I bought at chargen (related, anyone want a masterwork bow?) I figure I might as well grab the garlic knife just so I have something to do if I ever run out of magic. Unless anyone else wants it, because I should seriously never be engaging in melee combat anyway.
EDIT: apparently the above is completely irrelevant given weapon groups available from Factotum. Note to self, next time there are rule changes, update your sheet at that time instead of a month later.
Loot from the babau
Babau 1:
One drawstring bag, soaked in slime. Essentially ruined.
A heap of silver and gold coins, mildly acid-scarred with the faces defaced.
A small silver idol of an ant.
Babau 2:
Figurine of a mountain, made of iron.
Let me know if anyone wants to appraise, detect magic or anything else.
Iris will use Detect Magic and attempt to identify anything she can as a result.
The mountain radiates magic. Roll spellcraft.
<RepoMage> roll 1d20+15 Hatbot this time
<Kobot> RepoMage rolled 1d20+15 Hatbot this time --> [ 1d20=8 ]{23}
Ironskin Monument
This monument can be eaten, despite being hardened iron. Doing so increases the natural armor of the eater, as long as they don't have considerable natural armor already(+5 or greater). However, the iron is not easily digested and damaged the eater, risking injury and death. Unfortunately this is part of how it toughens the body, as the iron has to be absorbed in. Healing the damage before its done ruins the effect and wastes the Ironskin Monument.
Did anyone else want the Ironskin Monument? I'm all for getting some extra AC, even if I have to risk life and limb to do so!
> roll d20+11-2 Nature, target: Ant Idol
* Hatbot --> "Iddy rolls d20+11-2 Nature, target: Ant Idol and gets 21."12 [d20=12]
Trying to get info on the Idol type.

* Hatbot --> "Iddy rolls d20+11-2 Nature, target: Ant Idol and gets 21."12 [d20=12]
Trying to get info on the Idol type.
It looks to be an idol of a fire ant. It's not perfect down to the fine details, but it's the closest match and almost certainly it.
MAde an attempt at appraising nonmagical stuff because why not.
<Cidward> roll 1d20+2 coins
* Hatbot --> "Cidward rolls 1d20+2 coins and gets 16."12 [1d20=14]
<Cidward> roll 1d20+2 ant
* Hatbot --> "Cidward rolls 1d20+2 ant and gets 11."12 [1d20=9]
Also I encourage melee fighters to take the Ironskin thing since they need it more. Although maybe we don't want to try eating that until we get somewhere safer than Hades.
The coins are damaged and will need to be melted down. Once done, the metal worth of the coins will be roughly 50-100 gold.
Iris can't put a price on the ant - it's unique art and outsider her range of knowledge.
Well, I guess I'm going to claim the Ironskin unless someone else really, really wants it. I guess I'll be smart and wait until we're relatively safe to try and ingest it.
Good luck on avoiding a reroll, Zeph!
From the shores of the Styx:
Roughly 2-4 doses of Styx Tears.
Expense: 1/2 of the platinum coins from the Astral cache.
Loot from the Styxside Shack
1 serpent dagger
1 jade and dragon box
1 soul diamond
Post of intent to claim the ant idol. Might want the serpent dagger as a curious field knife, too. Since I don't have any melee weapons, either.
Fiora spends 750gps on a Scroll of A Spell I Will Get Next Level Anyway(Remove Disease)
Platinum coins, ant idol and jeweled box sold for a total of 16722 gold. This comes out to 2787 gold per PC.
-3000gp for bribery part 1
-9000gp for bribery part 2
Note that post bribery, everyone's share of sold loot is 787 gold.
Gift from Sir Crel
1 pouch full of mixed coins
Several small black gemstones
Silver earrings
Iron pendant
Boon from the angel
Each of you gains the following ability.
Portal Sense (Su)
As a full round action, you may concentrate and sense the nearest portal to you. You know the direction you must travel to it, though not the distance. This power is ineffective on the Astral Plane due to how it handles distance. (Not that you need it on the Astral anyway)
<Iris> Okay!
<Iris> Rolling appriase for loots.
<Iris> roll 1d20+10 pendant
* Hatbot --> "Iris rolls 1d20+10 pendant and gets 22."12 [1d20=12]
<Iris> roll 1d20+10 earrings
* Hatbot --> "Iris rolls 1d20+10 earrings and gets 17."12 [1d20=7]
<Iris> roll 1d20+10 gems
* Hatbot --> "Iris rolls 1d20+10 gems and gets 13."12 [1d20=3]
<Iris> roll 1d20+10 coins
* Hatbot --> "Iris rolls 1d20+10 coins and gets 25."12 [1d20=15]
Belatedly I remember that all those rolls should've been hit by the INT penalty from Elysium, so subtract 2 from all those numbers.
*grumble grumble goody two-shoes plane making me stupid*
-2 applied to all rolls.
The pendant is worth 20 gold. The earrings are worth 65 gold. Iris cannot appraise the gems due to ongoing angst and guilt over her moral choices. The coins are worth 1,730 gold - they're thicker and heavier than usual coins, so each one is worth several.
Thyan finds the following herbs.
Elysium Bruisewort
This soft herb can be crushed to a paste. When used to treat wounds, it helps the healing process. Thyan has found enough to attempt to make 2 doses.
Golden Thistlerod
This flower has sticky, thick pollen. If refined, it can be made into a poison that causes allergic reactions in fiends and other living evil creatures. Thyan has found enough to attempt to make 3 doses. WARNING: Accidental exposure can cause pleasant but ultimately debilitating hallucinations in non-evil mortal creatures.
Postin' to get the dagger ID'd.
Masterwork Serpent Dagger: 449 gold.
3 gold coins paid
-266 gp from Fiora, changing monies into Gloma Standards and spending them at the alchemist for ritual thing.
Purchase of Barding, Chain Shirt (400 GP) and Saddle, Military (Exotic) (60 GP). Total expense of 460 GP.
This is what you have on Siri so far.
Siri
Cutlass+2.
- Ego score of at least 21.
- Telepathy with an unknown distance.
- Able to heal the wielder 2d8+3 hit points 3/day. This is a standard action.
What are the base weapon stats on a cutlass, if I may ask?
They're in Stormwrack. Short version for a medium creature? 1d6 19-20 x2. It's a light, slashing martial weapon.
Giant's club: Can resize at will. Has additional powers when wielded by a fey or fey blooded. The extent of these powers are not known.
Gift from the Warsaan's smith
1 cold iron masterwork longsword.
1 adamantine masterwork dagger.
1 silver masterwork dagger.
1 cold iron masterwork shortsword.
the CI longsword and the Giant's Club have been added to Fiora's sheet. She'll be futzing around with the latter during breaks to try and figure out what's up with it.
