We shall be gathering in the room of #soulriders to demonstrate our esteemed terribleness. To any who fail to join at the accountable hour, we shall forever know that they are merely good people, tired from a long day's work...
And not terrible enough to bear measure.
Could we possibly move it an hour earlier, in consideration of our central/east coast time zone bretheren?
Could be tempted. Provided a couple of them holler here that it'll let them join in. :)
Arizona reporting in.
You're just trying to lure us into posting more, aren't you?
...dammit, it worked.
It also gives a sense of how many are interested and all. Important and whatnot.
Okay, I'll go into work early and plan to try and get out so we can do a 6 pm start.
Tenatively interested? I'm a bit new to the community and I have an exam the next morning, but the game's fun and none of you seem to bite. EST for me.
I can't do any earlier than 6 pm on a work night, but swing by and have a good time. If you have to leave early, it's still nice to say hi.
I'll play. Never as if being a horrible person isn't fun.
Game Tonight. We'll be meeting in #soulriders to organize before the game :)
I don't get off of work until 6:30 pm PST. I will be late. Alas.
Oi, what's the password, you asshats? :p
So we gave it a go.
2 good runs, fun had by all.
The anime cards kinda stunk though. Don't think we'll try that again.

Not sure where you were :P It was getting regularly posted in #SR.
Next time we'll plan out a known host/password here though before it starts.
Acident? Ooooor we carefully omitted the grand champion?
Who knows....
The game did have some bright moments, but there were massive problems for me.
First and foremost is that it runs really poorly on my 1024x600 screen ratio, though this probably doesn't apply to other people. It's just that while everyone else can presumably see the entire game board at once, I can't. In order to see the entire board, I have to zoom out quite a lot, which makes the font size tiny for selected cards and even more so for cards in my hand, and I can only see two lines of chat at once. Also, when the cards are all revealed and everyone has more than one card (for those multiple-blank rounds), the display is overlayed on my entire screen so that I can't see the chat. That six-part round is complete interface screw.
A lot of the cards are more vulgar than I like, which I mentioned during the game. That's forgivable, but a lot of the cards are also just too wordy, and don't fit into the blanks. I ended up hanging onto a bunch of cards I didn't like that really had nowhere to go. This is made worse by the fact that the more cards are in my hand, the smaller the cards are displayed on-screen to cram them all on one line, making them hard to read. Especially the wordy ones, in a synergy of questionable UI design. A mulligan mechanic or just some sort of discard would help.
I found myself wishing there was a way to change my mind about a card I selected, since I frequently forget to read my newest-drawn card before choosing. Also, I didn't like rounds with more than two blanks, because 3-blanks and above weren't really given good sentences.
But I did manage to make a few decent jokes, I guess.
"Hamburglar. That's the kind of man I was."
The basic game only has one three blank card, which is the haiku. All the others were from the anime expansion, which was ... disappointing, to say the least. It had great white cards, but the black cards, not so much.
Pretty much. In the main product, there is no such thing as a Play Six card (What a shitty stupid concept. Who's going to have 6 nouns, much less six people in 13 cards?), and play 3 is generally just the Haiku one.
Discards, Mulligans, and "No, Just not interested in judging this card" would be really nice. The first two anime black cards I got were just ugh.
That said, tiny resolution, and I'm not surprised the poor web-UI coding on that site doesn't match it well.

I was in the airport, waiting for my 8 hour flight back home. =p
Couldn't log into #sr, but the CaH site worked, and I even found Kuyou's room, but the obvious password of "Soulriders" did not work. Alas!
You guessed the password correctly, but we used all lowercase.
*shakes fist at you all*
Foiled by good grammar!
There is no grammar.... There is only...
When do people want to play again? Tuesday? Another Thursday run?
I can't do much at all in the evenings on Tuesdays, so.
I can't do Monday or Wednesday evenings.
For everything else, there's Soulriders.
