...My read on this is that Ken is a bit of a monster. They did make what looked like a very successful game. It definitely took front and center when it came out. So instead of hiring a business manager and transitioning out or selling his stake in it, he's obliterating the company aside from a handful of people?
If this isn't a response to lack of profitability by take 2, it seems a monsterous thing to do. So fifty-hundred people are now out a job because he wanted to go try a different style of venture?
Looks to me like the message got massaged a bit.
But still reading the same thing. Lots of people losing their jobs after an enormously profitable title because some of management want to go do a different venture.
