Okay, this week...we're going to try Dixit.
Which I think is at http://www.boiteajeux.net/.
With these rules: http://www.boiteajeux.net/jeux/dix/dix_aide_en.php
I'm admittingly kind of curious as it looks like it needs voice support to work.
Do I have it right Merc? Checking before I set up an account and see what's needed to start a game over there.
Unlike BGA, I have never used Boiteajeux. So.... Dunno!
I don't see why you would need voice support though for Dixit, unless someone's clue only worked spoken instead of written. Or if that is just how its programmed I guess.
I can look tonight I guess. i did make an account though I've not used it yet
Without actually joining another game, I don't see anything that says skype/voice support is required. The games there don't usually get played in real time either, so I would imagine it'd be actually harder to play with voice support for a long term game because not everyone would be around to hear clues when new turns start.
For a short game, if they don't have a chat area like BGA, we can always just use IRC to type out a clue, and just do without sound-based clues.
Sounds fine. I'll be there. Anyone else coming?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6UlbxeDE0w&t=1m18s <-- Here's the tabletop episode covering a Dixit game as well, so people can watch rules and then a game of Dixit in action.
Doesn't seem to be much interest for Dixit?
Well, might be a wash, but let's see who shows up in room later. Maybe we can get a few extra recruits then.
Could just be a bad day. It happens sometimes.
