Title: SR Saturday Morning Board Gaming (10/11)
Post by: Merc on October 04, 2014, 11:11:12 PM
So during the SR Gathering, Corwin and I were discussing alternate times for SR Gaming 'Night' and I mentioned possibility of trying to run it during the morning time, so here we go!

Suggesting that next Saturday morning (8:30am PST/11:30am EST), Oct 11th, we get a bunch of pirates together for a game of Libertalia over in:
Board Game Arena (http://en.boardgamearena.com)

Libertalia is a hand management game with deduction/bluffing elements as you send out your crew to try and capture booty, good for 2-6 players.

We'd previously played this back in March, here's a link to summary of rules I'd posted back then:

REMINDER: This is tomorrow morning, approximately 13 hours from now.

http://en.boardgamearena.com/ <-- make account if you don't have one already.

Once you have your account set up, send a friend invite to kayeich (myself) and dracos12 (drac, naturally), and one of us will invite you to the Soulriders group.

You can poke either of us on IRC as well if you have any questions.

Was just Corwin, Drac and I.

We quickly set the mood of this game as the starting half of the first campaign consisted of a trio of brutes killing another pirate every round. A lot of pirates died this game as we all kept screwing with each other as much as we could.

Drac tried to use a monkey to collect a bunch of cursed relics and send them at me, though thankfully I had a priest handy to purify those relics, allowing me to say with much pleasure: "Suck it, Drac!"

Meanwhile, as Drac and I focus fire on each other, Corwin snuck in subtly with lighter attacks and keeping attention mostly off himself, and going for the win at the end of the third campaign.

Each of us won a campaign, but Corwin was the bestest pirate captain at the end of a most bloodthirsty game.

Hats off to ya, Corwin! Yarrr~
