Post by: Iron Dragoon on February 17, 2015, 05:51:14 PM

Session Start: Tue Feb 17 00:00:00 2015
Session Ident: #dunes
<Kotono> > "That's an incredibly story," Rocky finally says, "The best thing you can do is rest while I tell the others. This might help us search for them."
<Kotono> <Moore> "There's no way I can rest while the rest of them may be in danger." Moore says. "But I'll stay here so you have one less person to worry about. If... if somehow you can tell them anything, somehow reach them, just tell them 'Believe there's a way out.'"
<Kotono> > "Right," Rocky says, and then smiles, "We'll get them out, no matter how stone headed they are."
<Kotono> <Moore> Moore nods and leans back against the bed. Is there any way he can reach them? ... "Actually, am I the only one you found? Kamhoff, Macaron... the others? Still gone?"
<Kotono> > "You're the only one so far," he replies.
<Kotono> <Moore> Moore nods slowly. "I... thank you for watching out for us." He says as he closes his eyes. It isn't like them... Kamhoff surely would just get too cantankerous...
<Kotono> Rest comes. A weariness that does not allow true rest, but rather a fugue state as his mind grapples with the past several hours. But it's not long until Rocky returns, "Good news," he says in greeting, "Clearly, at least one of you is a chip off the old block."
<Moore> "Oh?" Moore asks. "What happened?"
<Kotono> A muscled man in armor follows. He carries Little, the gargoyle-like creature out cold. "We found him," Rocky explains, "Solid as a rock, just on the shore and out of the light."
-Serith- poke Lucy #sonofdunes (d20)*1+18
<Moore> "Oh, thank goodness." Moore says with a smile. "I'm glad he made it out too."
<Kotono> Little's placed down on the floor. "We'll keep looking in the meantime. Maybe he knows something, if you can get him to wake up."
<Moore> "Actually... Do you have any priests of Qupan here in town?" Moore asks. "I... ...I don't know if it actually would work, but I want to try and get a message to one of my allies and... I know she's very faithful to Qupan."
<Kotono> "Mmm-hmmm, I'll see to it," Rocky promises, "Shouldn't be too hard to rock and rattle him up.'
<Moore> "Thank you, Mister Rocky." Moore says as he pushes himself out of bed to go check on Little himself.
<Kotono> OOC: Heal check.
<Moore> roll 1d20+12
<Serith > Moore roll for Serith < 18 > 12 [d20=6]
<Kotono> He looks alright, just out cold. Waking him up should be safe.
<Moore> Moore will cast a simple healing spell to see if that rouses him. If not, he'll just wait.
<Moore> roll 1d8+5
<Serith > Moore roll for Serith < 13 > 12 [d8=8]
<Kotono> That does the trick. Little coughs and stirs, "Ooooww...." he holds his head, "Bad oppression in my head!" he whimperings, holding it with one hand as he sits up.
<Moore> Moore realizes that at some point he'll have to tackle the issue of Pepo, but... for the time being... "Hi, Little. Are you okay?"
<Kotono> "Little okay," he says, "Caves terrifying!" He looks around, "Terrifying caves!"
<Moore> "How did you get out?" Moore asks. If Little came up with another way, it might help the others...
<Kotono> "Found door," Little says shortly, "Bad place. Bad place." The little gargoyle creature rocks back and forth, hugging tis knees.
-Serith- poker Lucy #sonofdunes 4#1d20+3
<Moore> "You're right, it was a bad place. But you're okay now." Moore says, trying to be as soothing as he can be. "You're safe."
<Kotono> Little shivers, "Me want good oppression. Me want Pepo to oppress me."
<Moore> "Mister Pepo... isn't here right now." Moore says. "But I'll stay with you until the others come. You're safe, we'll get you all the good... ...stuff you need."
<Kotono> Little nods quickly, "We need more oppression," he says sagely.
<Kotono> OOC: Going to do anything or just cool your heels for now?
<Moore> OOC: Just waiting for that priest for the time being.
<Kotono> OOC: Lemme give you a few due to reasons.
<Kotono> About a half hour passes until Rocky returns. But with him is a familiar face - Lucy! He carries her without any sign of strain at all. A pair of servants carries Jetina's armored form. Both look to be out cold. "Once you put her down, drag some beds into here," Rocky calls. "We're keeping them together for now."
<Moore> Moore smiles. Thank goodness indeed! Moore flies up. "I'm so glad you found them. ...Or, rather, I suppose, they found a way out."
<Kotono> Soon beds are gotten, both put on them. Little flies around and above, staying out from underfoot. "Give them some healing so they awaken, since it worked last time," Rocky says.
<Moore> Moore nods and tries the same thing on both Lucy and Jetina.
<Moore> roll 1d8+5 Lucy
<Serith > Moore roll for Serith < 7 > 12 [d8=2]
<Moore> roll 1d8+5 Jetina
<Serith > Moore roll for Serith < 6 > 12 [d8=1]
<Kotono> At this, Lucy stirs, starting to awaken. OOC: Go ahead, Lucy.
<Lucy> "No," she moans, batting away at Moore's hands. "Not Mister Pepo!"
<Moore> "Miss Lucy, try and calm down." Moore says quietly. "You're... erm... we can discuss that matter later.... just try and relax."
* Lucy freezes at those words. Then, a moment later, her hands go to her horns and slide down her body to check everything is still there.
<Moore> "Ah... ...In case you're still wondering, no, I don't believe we're still stuck in that... ...ah... ...place." Moore says, still staying quiet. "At least, I'm pretty sure I'm... you know, me."
<Lucy> "How did I get here?" Lucy asks suspiciously, sitting up.
<Kotono> Everything's still there.
<Moore> "I think once we..." Moore looks for the right word. "I think when we escaped, we basically... ...just showed up here."
<Moore> "Mister Rocky and the others are the ones that found us near the wreck." Moore adds.
<Lucy> "The ship... didn't sink?" Lucy asks in confusion. "Mister Kamhoff? Bolethon? The dog, Mister Pepo, Veren?"
<Moore> "No, it did." Moore looks to Rocky for confirmation. "The others... we haven't heard of anything about them yet. Little was found a bit after I was... then you and Miss Jetina. I would imagine... the others are probably still there."
<Lucy> "I found a nasty spellbook with a mind of its own," Lucy recalls. "It claimed to have taken Mister Pepo for good. Then it tried to take me too!"
<Moore> "Ah... ...the one that tried to stab you with glass if you touched it?" Moore asks. "I... ... I think it's a conversation for another time, but... I believe that place to be a gateway between where we are and where we came from. If you think of it like that, then... well, it would appear we came back to this side."
<Lucy> "It tried to stab me with mithril-like knives," Lucy responds, shrugging after. "Close enough. There was also some strange thing that tried to kill me. Probably some light mage-- light mages! We have to summon one of them at once, and see if we are still us!"
<Moore> "I think after all that, there's no one else we could be." Moore says with a small smile. "But I'm sure finding one shouldn't be too difficult. For right now, please try and rest. You... well, all of us have been through a lot. We have to hope the others will find their way out and join us soon."
<Lucy> "I will admit," Lucy says at length, "that forcing me to use my powers properly has left an impression on myself. Yet I'm in no way seriously injured or impaired. Or even tired, really. If our hosts insist that we stay here while they look, however, I will at least document the recent experience in my experimental magic journal."
<Moore> Moore smiles. "I'll add my experience and see if it differs substantially from yours, then."
<Lucy> "How annoying. If that place was the midway point, then we clearly took the wrong turn."
<Moore> "I don't know about that." Moore says. "If we went the other way... ...Well, I suppose it's..." Moore frowns. "We'd have gone home without really finding any answers, I think.... is the way I'd look at it."
* Lucy tilts her head in consideration. "A valid argument. Ah! Did your treacherous book instruct you about anything? To stop looking, perchance?"
<Moore> Moore shakes his head. "No, it just... It looked like it was going to have some knowledge in it, but... something inside me forced... me? I guess is the way to see it, to ignore whatever was in it. The only thing I was left with was the impression about, ah... ..." He clears his throat. "I think it was the same thing you got an impression about."
