The next thing Jaela knows, she's standing elsewhere. A grand temple of Lathander, decorated with gold suns everywhere. Stained glass iwndows let in colored sunlight, while the air is fresh and clean. It smells like spring in here. Ahead of you is row after row of pews, with a grand altar of gold ahead. The colored sunlight around it turns to golden-white, the entire altar shining as brightly as the sun itself.
"Hello?" Jaela calls out, looking about.
"Well met." A voice speaks, neither male or female. It simply is, the words ringing in your ears despite merely being whispered.
A figure is poured down from the sunlight to behind the altar. It is an angel perhaps ten feet tall, six white wings from its back. Two jut upward, two straight to the sides and two downwards. It hovers just off the ground, radiance beginning to shine from it. Male or female, you know not, for looking at it is overwhelming. It bears no weapon and wears blinding light as clothing.
"You have come to my domain, Jaela of Aurora. I am Salandariel."
"I'm honestly impressed," Jaela says earnestly. "In many ways." She pauses in thought for a moment. "You know my name. Of course. Then you know how I came to be here, but I apologize for the intrusion all the same."

Jaela recalls a fragment of lore, found in one of Aurora's ancient tomes. An angel - no, an archangel. An archangel of retribution, of destruction, of life. The response to an unstated mistake, something that brings ends and new life in the ashes.
"The sun and Elysium have sent you here. I destroy what is unworthy and replace it with what is worthy. You have come here, you must be tested."
Jaela inclines her head. "Sounds fair. Name the rules?"
There is a flash of light as Jaela's companions appear all around her. They barely get a chance to register the temple they stand in before the angel speaks a single word. This one makes the light glow even brighter, "Survive."

Everyone but Jaela is blinded. Arrel's up.

One of his three daily heal SLAs to cure blindness. Kascha's up.
"Aaah!" The party can hear a thump, as if someone just fell down. "No! Hear me, oh Seladrine! I am Kascha, sworn to Seira! Open the gates to the realm of eternal rebirth in Seira's name and rejuvenate us!" Energy surrounds all the party but Afina, healing wounds and restoring sight.

The creature before you is a solar. An extremely powerful one that radiates vast power. At the least you can count on the following problems.
- Good spell resistance.
- 4th level or lower spells failing due to the angel's protective aura.
- Immunity to mind-affecting thanks to the same aura.
- Immunity to acid, cold and petrification.
- True seeing, always active.
As solars are some of the mightiest celestials and often serve deities directly, none of this is a surprise. For an angel such as this, you can only guess at what further power it may have.
Surraruthru focuses on the magic given to him by Asgorath and uses the spell granted to him, Greater Anywish to cast Summon Monster V, summoning a Fire Elemental!
Fire elemental, Medium.
Okay, quick heads up. I didn't mention this because I didn't think you'd summon, but the angel's protective aura prevents summoned creatures from coming in contact with it. This may well render it pointless, so you can change your action if you want.
You should know that based on your knowledge check, I just didn't mention it. My fault.
Alright, that being the case I instead funnel a level 9 spell from Beguiler into Wand.
Surraruthru focuses on Wand and shunts one of his most powerful spells into it!
Level 9 Beguiler: CL 24 Unless the CL bonus from the spell originally being an Illusion carries over, then it's CL 26.
"Ooooh yeah, that's the good stuff," Wand cries, a pulse of white light coming from it. "Burning ray and make it searing!" From the wand a stream of bright red fire erupts out, flying right at the solar.

The ray of fire streaks out, the solar's arm coming up in a split-second. His hand hits the ray, deflecting it enough that it cuts through light instead of the angel. As this happens, Mirajane flies up to Afina, touching the pixie on the arm. Her vision returns, cleared of the endless light.
Heal SLA on Afina. Jaela, you're up. Go.

Gender suddenly assigned to their opponent, she takes a moment to take in the situation rather than rush in just yet, saying, "I think we need that Valor spell again. Can do? Otherwise, Kascha, try bolstering our defenses. Mirajane, make sure no one dies. We'll reassess in a few."
Only then does she turn her attention upon Salandariel. "You broke my glow," Jaela complains with just a touch of incredulous petulance. "How could you?!" Magic charging up within Gae Trocaire, she lunges across the cathedral towards the archangel!

At present, silver. (I think also good.) Next round it will adjust to his DR for 10 rounds, due to being Transmuting, assuming I hit. Also, forgot to roll the 2d6 goldenfire earlier, so here goes!

Having all her protections stripped away is bringing back memories of Castle Crumbling... it only shows how reliant she is on her magic, and the need to do something to preserve it better against dispelling. Afina is like a flash, stabbing into the angel's back. She dodges a swipe of pure light that whistles through the air, her blade plunging home in the angel's back. The injuries are shallow and heal almost instantly, a great deal of resistance to her strikes. As Afina flees back, the angel speaks. "I am the nova that eradicates the wicked and leaves behind fertile ash." The celestial shines brighter, before a massive nova of burning light erupts from him, covering the cathedral.
Ref saves, all. This is searing fire damage, which ignores immunity and deals half damage to those immune.
Elysium doesn't inhibit shadow magic, Iddy. You'd know that much. It's possible this area does, but a sufficient spellcraft check should help regardless.

Empowered, so 129*1.5, so 193 fire damage. Afina takes none, Jaela takes none, Surraruthru takes half, Kascha takes full, Mirajane takes none and Arrel takes none.
Ran out of time before work, so this post will be continued tonight.
The blast of light is like liquid fire pumped into your veins, all through your eyeballs. It's simple burning agony, the party buffeted by it. Yet Afina and Arrel are too fast, a blur as they move between the tiniest gaps in the light. Jaela holds her ground and spins her spear defensively, parrying light itself as it tries to immolate her. Mirajane is simply not there - already behind a pew in preparation, using it as safe cover.
Surraruthru can swoop up and past the worst of it, burnt but rolling with it. Kascha's caught completely flatfooted, crying out in pain as she's burnt. She's seared all over, as if she was rolled across a hot pan.
Go ahead and go, Surraruthru. For the sake of getting this in before work grabs you for the new few days, Arrel and Kascha will hold.

QuoteWhile the time stop is in effect, other creatures are invulnerable to your attacks and spells; you cannot target such creatures with any attack or spell.
100% my fault, since I said this was okay to Iddy. I blame being headachey and having a bad eye night, though the simple truth is that I should have double checked rather than nodding along. Round 3 and 4's actions aren't affected, but round 1 and 2's are invalid. Feel free to choose different actions, Surraruthru. No penalty on them since it's entirely my fault.

Surraruthru vanishes amid it, magic enhancing him all over. You hear a soft, "Tsh," from the angel, a vague little scoff. Afina already moved towards Kascha and Arrel on her last turn.
So you did, dur. I'll resolve it all after Jaela's turn here.
Jaela goes to battle against the angel, but its defenses are flawless. Light stops every attack she launches, as the angel says, "You face the merciless energy of the end, knowing you have no chance to triumph? You can no sooner defeat me than you can slay destruction or retribution."

Meanwhile Kascha invokes her ioun stone, healing light mending wounds and restoring lost sight. Amid it, "Only the most deluded, desperate or courageous oppose me once I burn all to ash."
Arrel swoops forward, "Aurora has already seen it," he calls as he zips through the air, going past the angel with a furious claw swipe. "No matter infernal or heavenly, we have seen it and we will overcome it!"

"No chance to triumph is a bit harsh," Jaela responds, taking advantage of the chance now that the angel is talking again. "We're stalemated, that's all. And Arrel said it well. We've seen a lot, and we're not the sort to give up! We'll keep on trying new things, so you better keep up or you'll be the one losing!"

Salanadriel laughs. It's a startled, almost strained laugh. "You-" Then Afina speeds up, drawing on her magic. A wall of prismatic light appears to box the angel in as she dives in. Light like adamantine comes forth, forming bucklers of light to stop Jaela's strikes. They crack and shatter, but it is sufficient to protect him, even as the angel strikes. The blow cuts deep into Jaela's side, a fast and overwhelming strike that cleaved right through her defenses. "You..." Salanadriel stops, shaking his head. "You want me to try harder to keep up?" His laughter fills the cathedral like the light that gushes from the broken windows. It's a bit of a halting laugh, as if rusty and forgotten. "Lathander put you here suddenly, with a request to test you. Yet after facing my might, you want me to try harder?"
Surraruthru is up.
Jaela laughs right alongside him, a deep wound only Dana would ignore notwithstanding. "So far, the unreliable magic's been the bigger threat. Don't get me wrong, you're pretty strong. But you made a mistake setting the terms of the battle. Don't you know a thing about Lifasans and survival?"

"I made the mistake?" Salandriel says with more laughter, "Those who challenge me in my task become dust in the wind. Those who are tested against me are humbled. But never has someone taken it and made mirth of it." The celestial holds a hand up, "Enough! What have all of you seen to harden your spirits so, and to retain the joy within to feel joy?"
Free act for the moment.
Maybe it was arrogant to assume that every powerful angel knows about them, Jaela muses, deciding to oblige. "Our nice and peaceful world got taken over by Hell and we were there for the final fight before leaving with the last portals out. And then we found Aurora, which is our hope for striking back and freeing it and other worlds like it. One takes care of the former, the other of the latter. It's also what brings us all together, individual reasons aside."
Afina slows her frenetic movements as she answers the angel. "Taelfagn took nine from our world and broke them under his infernal 'Truth', and these nine opened the way for Abigor to lead his legions in laying waste to our world. Lifasa is now a blasted husk ruled over by devils and their treacherous pawns."
Pausing a second to let that settle she continues in a tone of satisfaction, "Abigor died under our blades, and now we seek the first embers of Goldenfire so Taelfagn can follow him."
"And yet Lathander sends you here in the middle of that," The angel notes dryly. "That must not be and it must be reversed. I had thought you challengers to be tempered in my fires, but that is not what is needed."
Kascha approaches slowly, giving the prismatic wall a wide berth. "What is needed?" she asks, "There are certainly many things I think we need, but what do you think we need?"
Mirajane follows behind Kascha, "Gathgorian. We have an answer to the Duke of Destiny and to Bel. But I feel that Gathgorian may need a different answer than any of them."
"Lixer?" Jaela voices with a shrug. "We still don't have anything concrete on that loser."
"I can grant one of you a blessing," Salandriel replies, "It will be an answer to whatever you make it be. I see now why Lathander sent you here, even under such absurd circumstances, as if this place was a mere trap to deter the greedy.""
"Lets trust Mirajane's intuition?" Afina suggests, for all that she thinks Gathgorian would be a laughable challenge compared to Bel and Asmodeus, their seer hasn't led them wrong so far.
"Yes," Kascha murmurs, a hand to her chest. "Then who takes the blessing?"
"Hit me," Jaela says, stepping forward. "I've wanted to learn your skills from the moment we met. Got to say, I'm a fan."
Jaela is suddenly entombed in light. Light everywhere, overwhelming and blasting her back. She flies back through a broken landscape, which blossoms to life as she lands. She has a sensation of flying, of soaring faster than she ever has before. Light flows into her, focusing in her hand? Her body? Her head? She isn't sure, and she has a strong feeling to guide it, to choose one of them. "Your smites, your body or your magic." Salandriel is heard in her ear, a whisper.
Once Jaela has made her choice, the party finds themselves back in the maze, by the trapped treasure chest. "Return," Salandriel is heard, albeit from far away. "Return to Lathander and his servant's maze."
My body is ready!
I can't believe a chance to say that in context appeared.
Jaela's body glows with light before it fades, yet she seems somehow brighter than before.
Jaela gains the following ability.
Body of Light (Su)
At will as a free action, Jaela can shed light equivalent to a torch. Evil creatures within this light suffer a -2 penalty to saving throws against Jaela's spells, spell-like abilities and supernatural abilities. This penalty increases to -4 against evil outsiders and undead.
"How is it?" Afina asks Jaela, starting to flutter up the stairs.
"Thanks!" Jaela calls back. "Let's keep going-- wait, did you recover, Kascha?"
"I finally got my inner glow!" Jaela tells Afina happily, manifesting it. "It burns very nicely and I just know devils will hate it. So useful!"
"Sounds pretty! That Salandriel was a tough one... He kept blowing away my magic like nothing... Should we rest before we keep going?"
"He blew all our magic away, but it's okay. You have to face strong opponents to improve," Jaela muses. "I really wish you set him on fire a bit with an area attack, though."
"I'm fine," Kascha shakes her head, "That happens sometimes, Surraruthru. There's always someone stronger." Rolling her shoulders, "Shall we?"
The party continues ahead past the chest and to the stairs going up. They lead to a platform surrounded by stone walls on all sides. Sitting on the floor there is a figurine of the sun, made of shining gold and platinum.
Jaela waits for someone to check the platform and its contents over, boosting her awareness in the meantime.

No sign of traps. Looks safe to Surraruthru.
In the meantime, Kascha shoulder's slump and she rubs her shoulder. "I can't believe Lathander just tossed us at something like that for that. He was right, it was absurd to open something and get thrown at an apocalyptic angel. It's like wandering around and running into an avatar or something."
"Looks safe to me!"
Surraruthru flies up to Kasha and lands on her shoulders, like a large cat, and absently begins to knead her shoulders.

"The angel must have owed Lathander a favour?" Afina surmises. "It's not as if we're just ordinary people ourselves."
At Jaela's comment she shrugs, "He seemed alright to me."
"Excellent. So, Kascha, what's the magic say here? Tell me what we're doing with the figurine."

"It is what we came to this maze for," Mirajane points out, "It may well take us back to Origin."
"Oh, so it is. Silly of me..." Afina shakes her head at her forgetfulness, flying over towards the icon. "Like Jaela said, altogether?"
Nodding, Jaela comes to stand around the figurine, waiting for everyone to get into position before counting down from three.
Arrel marches into position, Mirajane following. Kascha goes on over, "Ready everyone," she asks.
"I only down my most powerful spells is all. If it was going to take us to something like the angel again, then I'd want to have access to those."
So saying, Surrathru clambers down off of Kascha to position for the idol as well.
In a wink you find yourselves in darker, cooler caves. Ahead is a door of pure gold, engraved with sun images. Origin mostly hides it by standing near it.
"Not bad," he remarks, "You got it. You're a little ahead of where you were, past the forges. Didn't want any of you to burn up since your magic got dispelled. Anyway, you'll have me when the assault's ready."
"Glad to hear it!" Jaela exclaims, grinning widely at him.
Mirajane and I are immune to fire, so this leaves Kascha and Surrathru?
"Thanks Origin, that was considerate of you," Afina says in appreciation for their more flammable members. "We'll make sure to include you on our biggest attack, wherever that ends up being."
Origin shifts aside, "Go on, you're past the forges. Good luck."
Afina made me half fire elemental.
"I don't think we have much choice," Jaela admits. "Mirajane, please make sure Kascha is immune to fire."
Mirajane simply bows her head, silently praying. There's not a sound, not a wisp of magic, yet Kascha's body begins to burn once more. Elemental Body is restored to her, Mirajane staggering after.

"You did great," Jaela tells Mirajane, there by her side to support her. "Catch your breath and we'll go on."
Mirajane rests on Jaela for a short time, "I always see the fatigue, but casting this still surprises me."
"That's the price for versatility," Afina says in resignation, suffering much the same herself. That doesn't stop her from opening the door now that everyone's protected so they can continue towards their goal.
"Oh yes, I only memorize one per day because of the drain," Kascha commiserates with a little sigh, "Such a useful spell, but it leaves me ready to pass out." Meanwhile, the door opens the moment it is touched. Ahead is a cavern passage, sloping downward. The walls are pure stone here, with veins of polished gold running through it. The gold is stamped with images of the sun, variations of Lathander's holy symbol.
As the party goes on down, "Surraruthru," Arrel flies on, "How is your breath weapon?"
Surrarthru cocks his head at the question.
"Fine, I guess? What do you mean? What type? How strong? How often can I use it? How big is it?"
"How strong," Arrel says, "What else would I ask?" He flaps his wings a little bit, "A powerful breath is a sign of draconic virility and might."
Surraruthru looks to be in deep contemplation of the question, then brightens up!
"It's fair, I think! But that'll change as I get older, right? I haven't really used it often, to be honest. I don't have much practice. I just started learning it right before the devils attacked, and my illusions were much better for escaping."
"All dragons get stronger as they get older. It's the natural order of things," Arrel elaborates as the rest of the party continues on. The tunnel continues until it opens up, and ahead you see a large cavern. Sitting in it is a temple constructed of pearly white stone, decorated all over with Lathanderite icons and designs. It is a classical temple, with pillars and a wide open entrance to head into.
Jaela heads into the temple, although she goes slowly enough that Mirajane or Surraruthru could stop her if they spot a sneaky trap!
In that case, I'll wait on Surraruthru to post about trapfinding.

Jaela proceeds ahead!
The temple is decorated by sun images - all sunrises and glorious light. Pillars are inlaid with precious metals that form suns and sun rays, while the ceiling glitters with brightness. It's warm here like a summer day but not hot. The entrance leads into a hall, the entire thing seeming to be nothing more than a walk to view the images painted onto the walls. It shows a hale and hearty young man in fine clothes doing various deeds, such as smiting the undead, bringing light to the darkness and censuring fiends.
Farther ahead is another set of doors, this one made of platinum and rippling with goldenfire. It crawls across the surface like electricity.
Jaela gravitates over to the images of bringing light to darkness to study them closer.
K:R check here, Jaela.
Afina only pays the images cursory attention, going up to the doors and opening them. Looks like they'll have to expose themselves to goldenfire again.
How many exposures do you have, Afina?
I've had 3
Afina feels faint on opening the door. Nonetheless, the door does open, revealing a larger chamber. Here a massive stone dais sits, where a relatively smaller gold one rests atop it. That one's all sealed up and ripples with goldenfire.
"I think I've made a terrible mistake," Afina says, having expected to be immersed in goldenfire past the door and thus not increasing her exposure relative to anyone else. "Surraruthru or Mirajane should open any other goldenfire covered doors in future."

Jaela can tell the images are that of Lathander in various roles - usually as the sun that vanquishes the night.
Meanwhile Kascha drifts over to Jaela, studying the images as well. Mirajane looks about and goes to Afina, "Yes. But what lies ahead now?" she asks, "I see light once more, so it is powerful, whatever it is."
"It's always so strange," Jaela muses, not looking away from the frescoes. "Normal people would see this and see an allegory, because he's a god. But we've actually met him in person and I can quite see Lathander actually do all this, all hero-like."
Surraruthru nods to himself and decides to open the door, seeing as how he hasn't done anything particularly brave and impressive so far, so he needs to do something to show that he's worthy of the group and protecting Kascha.
So deciding, he flies to the door and tries to open it!

We live in realms of first causes, primal magic and mind over matter. But it isn't natural to us like it is to others."

That counts as your first goldenfire exposure, Surraruthru. Keep note.
The dais opens up at Surraruthru's touch. A chorus of heavenly voices sings all around the party, a song of rising anticipation. Within lies embers of pure golden fire, cracking and burning despite no fuel to feed them. Intense heat radiates from them, as knowledge fills the party. Wisdom from nowhere, perhaps imparted by the song. You must master and control the embers, lest you all be overwhelmed and reduced to naught but goldenfire.
Each of you has a round's actions. Use them as you see fit.
Well, Surraruthru thinks, fire is totally a dragon thing. Maybe not his dragon thing, but a dragon thing, certainly. He should totally be able to do this. But maybe he can load the odds in his favor...
He brings Wand up and whispers to it, "Hey, any ideas on controlling these embers? Between you, a dragon, and my currently being half fire elemental, what do you think my odds are?"

Without so much as an apology to Kascha, Jaela swiftly makes her way over, idly noticing Afina working her magic but not stopping to wait on the results. Kascha falls to her knees, the ghaele weeping golden tears as her body cracks. Cracks as if she were a porcelain doll handled too roughly, blood tinted gold oozing out. Her lips begin to move but no sound comes out, then she stops. "..aaaaahhh..." she whimpers in a piteous voice. The golden flames around her fade, the embers cooling before your eyes. They barely burn now - three coals tinted a light golden color, a comfortable heat radiating from them.
The moment that's done, Kascha falls back. Her gaze is unfocused and she lies in a growing pool of her own golden blood. "Oh Seira," she moans, her voice a heady mix of pain and wonder. "Oh, oh, oh! There's so many and the sun shines on all of them."
Free act for now.
Kascha was essentially mimicking the two of you since she didn't have any better ideas. The DC for getting the attention of the embers (which may or may not be intelligent in some manner) was 25, she made it on the number. Goldenfire from the embers then flowed into her body and mind. She failed the fort save and took 16 Con damage, but got lucky on the Will save and got a 20. She wasn't passing either save without a natural 20.
If Kascha were more coherent, she'd say this: Remember everyone, primal artifacts can be dangerous simply because of what they are.
Just as well someone succeeded round 1, since things would've gotten interesting (in the most difficult sense of the word) if no one had managed something effective. There were other paths, but this one worked out.
Surraruthru lands next to Kascha's head and nervously bounces from one foot to the other, looking her over worriedly.
"Kascha! Kascha, how can I help? I can't heal. I can maybe put you to sleep until we get back to Aurora."
He curls around the top of her head protectively, watching her face.
"W-water," Kascha gasps, clothing gold-blood stained.
Meanwhile Mirajane comes over, kneeling and checking her over. She murmurs a quiet prayer, tracing lines over Kascha's body. "Mother," Mirajane looks up, "Healing isn't working."
"How are you, Kascha?" Jaela asks, kneeling by her side. "Can you hold out for a few minutes as we go back to Origin?"
"She took the Goldenfire into her body," Afina says, landing beside Kascha. "It'll be like when I took on Water, the body needs to adapt on its own without magic." Unfortunately despite that elemental connection Afina can't magically produce water to salve the poor angel's thirst. "We should get her back to Aurora for bedrest, but if either of you can conjure some water it'd help right now."
Jaela focuses as hard as she can on summoning some water for Kascha.
"Think so," Kascha grimaces as Jaela attempts to summon water. "Help...help me get the embers."
Arrel stands behind them all until that, coming forward, "Lie on my back and I'll fly you over."
Create water, Jalea?
Yeah. Failure chance but I can force it through in a couple rounds if need be.
"Just take it easy," Afina bids Kascha, pulling her floating disk over and picking up the embers to put them on top of it. "But I wonder - are these the first embers?" she asks, since Kascha hopefully got some insight from that. "I thought they were on Thalassia somewhere and we had to get the key here, but maybe that was misdirection?"
Cor, that's fine, just make 3 or 4 rolls and post them. There'll be an action if you manage to fail that many in a row, but it's otherwise easy enough to spam.
"They aren't, but they're close. It's..." she shudders, "Enough for now. They're the key, but we need time and rest. They aren't finished. They aren't a real key yet."

Jaela's magic is just exhausted. Mirajane gestures, water appearing for Kascha, "Triune, direct the River Oceanus to us and grant us its blessings."

<Kobot> Kotono rolled 1d100 Mirajane --> [ 1d100=86 ]{86}
"Mother," Mirajane says with a soft smile, "I think your magic's tired."
Kascha drinks as she sits up. Once done, "We need to...I mean I know, we need to take them back to Aurora and forge them into a key."
Afina nods, waiting until Kascha's slaked her thirst and gotten on Arrel's back. "You wanted to go back and see Origin, Jaela?" They may as well, they have time to kill before they can reliably gate or plane shift away from here.
"It's probably mental fatigue than anything else," Jaela responds. "It's clear what we should do. Help Afina with the embers. Arrel will get Kascha, while Surraruthru keeps watch over her. Let's see Origin and then get back to Aurora."
You find Origin where you last left him, the trip back unremarkable. "Not bad," he remarks on seeing them, "Not bad."
"The outcome was hardly in doubt, if Lathander sent us over," Jaela muses. "Still, the details are another thing entirely. Do you know more about the embers we found and what they did to Kascha? I don't want to guess, not with something this important."
"Lathander informed me," Origin says, "As you said, he's openly interested in Aurora's progress." The golem laughs, a heavy, metallic sound. "He seems to like all of you, too. He said to tell Kascha this: She has to live up to her true name now."
"Well, if we can laugh about it...." Jaela shrugs. "Wanna come along, or that we just give you a Sending when we're ready? And come to think of it, did Lathander want to send troops our way?"
Kascha reddens, "How does..." she begins, "...oh. Right." She looks down and blushes even more, wincing and falling back after. "Owwww! But how do I do that?"
"Oh, he'll take care of it somehow or another. The Dawnbringer's good at that." Origin sighs ever so slightly, a dramatic gesture, "You'll get an influx of support, expected or otherwise. As for myself, a sending is sufficient."
"Glad to hear it! It'll brighten Aurora up to have his people over," Jaela says. "Where can we gate back home from?"
"This one," Origin says, fist slamming into the wall behind him. It crumbles, revealing a little recess with a swirling white portal within. "Get Kascha back to Aurora, she needs rest and time to recover."
How considerate! "Lathander really is great, I think I just swooned a bit," she says with a grin, heading into the portal. "See you on the other side!"
"Even if I have to decline his offer of employment, I do think he's very nice," Afina echoes Jaela's sentiments before going through the portal. "Farewell for now, Origin."
From here you find yourself in the Positive Energy Plane, not far from Aurora's gates. The rush of life energy is invigorating without being long enough to be damaging, and soon the party is through the gates. Home!
"Infirmary," Kascha groans, "Ow!"
Go ahead and set up Kascha and deal with anything immediately related to that, then we're going to wind down this thread. More on that when we get there.
Taking Kascha to the infirmary first, Afina helps her get settled with some ice cream or other nice cold food before she goes to drop the embers, adamantine, and sun sword in the workshop for later use.
After making sure that Kascha arrives at the infirmary alright, Jaela asks Mirajane to watch over her and heads off to tell Mirima and Hanna that she's back.
Very good.
What's next is a post in nagging to line up all of our odds and ends things before getting on your retaliations on Lixer. Once that's sorted out, new topics will be made as needed. For now, this topic is closed.
