Balyss leads Moore away from the others. As you walk, she asks, "Does the location matter? We usually use the chapel of Selune here."
"I've never been given a reason to believe otherwise. I'm sure he'd appreciate if I did it in your library, but I don't think he'd be offended if we used Selune's chapel." Moore says with a small smile. "I don't think we have time to worry about the small things anyway. Maybe next time we can do it there as a sign of respect."
"Right. Talk and worry about that later. We may be under a time limit," Balyss says, hurrying along.
Big question, what spells do you aim to try?
Commune's probably the best. Divination itself for anything that they don't end up with a specific answer about. Vision if we're in a pinch.
The chapel to Selune is pleasant, but in the sort of way Moore doesn't have time to pay attention to. Balyss hurries him in, clearing it out with a few words. She immediately kneels before the altar, starting to pray.
Go ahead, Moore. Declare what spell you're starting with and your (first if commune) question.
He'll start with Commune. I was wrong before, he gets 14 questions.
Moore moves in and takes a seat on the ground, sitting cross-legged as he relaxes and starts to focus.
He clears his mind and lets his questions come naturally.
"Is Aurora about to be attacked by devils?"
You are surrounded by snowy winds. The clear, clean smell of Venya fills your nose as cold winds soothe your body. Like this you don't hear anything at first, until as if from far away, "Likely."

"Should we move Aurora to a different plane?" Moore asks.
The winds blow stronger, the snow becoming a blizzard. "Too late, interference." Is the reply.

Moore's eye twitches at that. They're serious, aren't they? "Can we count on any reinforcements to aid us?" Moore asks.
The winds continue to blow, "Yes."

Yes or No, Yes or No... ...he has so many questions, but they can't be answered that way...
"Is Lixer leading this attack?"
The winds go quiet, the snow falling thickly enough to obscure everything.
"Unclear," is the answer you finally get.
So it's probably him or the Duke of Destiny... he shakes his head.
"Is there something inside Aurora we can use in this coming battle that no one here has yet found?" It's a long shot, but...
"Unclear," At least this answer's fairly quick.
If Aurora could be easily scried or divined, it wouldn't have been lost for millions of years. 9/14
Hm, so there's a possibility... okay. He nods.
"Are the devils here for something specific besides revenge?" Moore asks. The answer may still be unclear, but...!
The snows continue to swirl, "To destroy Aurora."

Moore takes a breath at that. They must be serious.
"Are there any allies we should reach out to to aid us that are not already coming?"
The snows become feverishly strong, the voice heard amid the distorting howls of the wind. "Yes."

That's the kind of message Moore understands loud and clear.
"Do we have the means to call on those allies now?"
The winds are growing harder yet. From very far away as reality returns, Moore can just make out, "Yes. Hurry."
Balyss is meanwhile kneeling and praying still, but you hear her suck a breath in sharply.
Moore frowns. He doesn't want to break the 'rules,' but...
"Please, can you tell me who we should ask? Where the aid comes from?" Moore says. He's standing in the midst of the winds in his mind, trying to look through the snow for his answers.
No good. The spell seems to have concluded, the winds gone and the reality of the chapel of Selune back.
"Selune..." Balyss whispers, holding her holy symbol to her chest. "Your light will reach us, even if your voice cannot. I vow it."

Some serious mojo is being thrown around, since something's happening that's disrupting your ability to contact Erathaol (or his delegate) on Celestia. To do so around a demiplane such as Aurora would involve wrapping a large section of the Positive Energy Plane around it. You're likely looking at customized epic magic, some very serious juju. That or a deity personally ruining Aurora's day.
"Elena!" Moore calls out. He'll wait for her to appear, if she does, and then address her and Balyss.
"We have allies we can still call on, but we must be quick. I do not know if the magic that's preventing us from communing with our deities extends to that, but... If you know of any other allies we have that we haven't tried to reach, we should do so with haste." Moore says, sounding... quite anxious. He seems a bit out of sorts as well.
"Right, on it," Elena nods and vanishes right after appearing.
Balyss just nods, "About what I got. Selune was waning and growing dark all throughout my divination. Something big's happening and it's happening fast."
"Could the Lord of the Ninth be responsible for this?" Moore asks. "Would he get so personally involved over Lixer's affairs?"
Would I have any way of knowing if Lixer or Taelfagn could do that type of magic or a general idea if they could?
Not really, though from what you've seen it's something you can't rule out. As for Asmodeus, certainly so, if stories about him are remotely accurate.
Okay. Then If Balyss knows I'll let her add her thoughts.
"If he is, though... surely, we'll have our own divine influences to aid us." Moore says with a nod.
"I place my fate in Selune's hands. She will not fail." Balyss says with a little nod.
"Tepen wants you in the command center," Elena briefly appears, "Hurry."
"It sounds like we're being summoned." Moore says with a small smile to Balyss before he flies off!
