Title: Latha's sunrise (Moore and Tryll; 84 days left)
Post by: Anastasia on September 28, 2017, 10:51:07 PM
The Felic Gate opens wide to admit you into Sylica. A warm spring breeze blows over you as you stand there, a moment of gentle peace.

Going to find Latha? Also, did you invite anyone with you three? Further, anything beyond the normal mission readiness arch boosts?

If Bubbles and Westwind wanted to tag along, they're welcome. Moonlight if she's available, since she's our resident Lathanderite.

Moonlight's preoccupied, so we'll stick with Westwind and Bubbles there.

Any opinion, Moore?

Going to Latha then?

You find Latha in the forges. She is just finishing a suit of armor, setting it to cool and coming over as...

Ball is in your court, Yuth.

"Lady Latha." Moore says with a bow. "My name is Moore, of Aurora. These are two of our companions, Lady Bubbles of the Padisha's Court and Prince Westwind of the Whirlwind Throne."

Calleigh flies in rapid circles around Latha's head much like a very animated ioun stone, chattering away, "We gotta talk about a golem! We have a plan! Did we mention this earlier? I dunno, I can't remember what we talked about the last time we were here, but you made my bow awesome so thanks! But! Golem! We have an idea! Also, a huge amount of stone! Or metal. Is adamantine metal or stone or yes? We've got a real whole lot of it! Like wow, just so much. We wanna make a big ol golem but we need your help! You and Lathander and all your friends! We got a plaaaaaan!" Zip zip zip.

Latha begins to reply to Moore, but is interrupted by Calleigh. Latha watches, and with a faint smile, "Peace, Marie. Calm down. Adamantine is a metal. How big a golem are you looking at?"

"We have five million gold worth of adamantine blocks to work with." Moore states, like this is a perfectly normal thing for someone to ever say.

"That..." Latha pauses to consider, "Is an impressive amount of adamantine." A longer pause as she considers, "What role does Lathander play in it?"
Title: Re: Latha's sunrise (Moore and Tryll; 84 days left)

Calleigh takes a breath to continue, then shakes her head and sits on Latha's shoulder instead.

Tryll begins, 'If you don't mind, I'll take over the conversation from here. Calleigh's understanding of the design is limited by her attention span, unfortunately. Surraruthru and I have worked together in our brief spots of off-time in order to put together an idea. We were both concerned about the sheer numbers of devils, as well as the fact that Lifasa is essentially sliding into Hell. Due to this, the land itself will likely be at least partially under the control of devils.

We began brainstorming about allies to recruit and at one point I jokingly said that we might as well find a tarrasque to recruit, for all that it would be impossible to control. Surraruthru suggested make one instead. Brilliant. Completely brilliant. So we've been gathering resources. The hideous amount of gold required to craft such a thing is heavily mitigated by finding the raw crafting materials. Hundreds of tons of adamantine, because if you're going to build something that big you've got to make it as tough as possible. Also, we're going to mount the eye of a very large astral dreadnought on its face.

We're here for a number of reasons. We need your skills in forging, and we need a significant amount of goldenfire. Our plan for the golem is two-fold. Firstly, it is an engine of destruction, pointed at the enemies of all that is Good in the planes. Secondly, I've got the beginnings of a design for a device I call a sunfire engine. Using this device, I intend for the golem to physically bear the power of Lathander back onto Lifasa and hopefully break the devils' hold over the sky.

What do you think?'

"Nope! We're here to ask!" Calleigh chips in.

'We thought it would go better if we had things planned out first.' Tryll finishes. 'Demonstrate our commitment.'

Pitstop back at Aurora for the arch buffs just in case (and if Bubbles and Westwind would rather stay there) and then use the Aurora Gate to go to... uh... you know I don't actually know. Wherever it is!

The party steps out, standing in a sunny field. It's noon and warm without being hot, the air clear and without much humidity to bother you. It's like a good spring day, grasses growing tall but not too tall, wild but not too wild.

Calleigh takes off laughing, cutting her way through the grass and terrorizing small wildlife.

'The last time we were here, we simply wandered until we found a town, and the residents pointed us toward Lathander.' Tryll tells the group.

"WOAH!" The farmer gasps, hat popping off as he stumbles back. "Not in some time, I heard he was in Stanley's Woods, but then it turns out that was just Desmond's son visiting, and that was back when his son had that really shiny armor, because back then paladins dressed like real heroes, and in that day you knew a paladin because he was dressed in really shiny armor. These days I hear paladins only dress in practical steel that doesn't glow!"

"Well, that is true for some of them!" Moore readily agrees. "I think there is something to be said for that sort of look that a Lathanderite Paladin would have, riding into battle on some sort of steed that glows with the shining aura of the sun while they smite evil left and right." He nods a few times. "I wonder if that's the kind of motif Jaela was going for..."

"Sounds fun," Maud says - a middle aged and spry woman, a bit on the husky side, as she refills all of your plates, no matter if you need it or not. "You should come here and set up a farm, it's good work and safer too."

Bubbles ever so slowly controls herself, "Thank you, but no," she says coolly, "We are needed elsewhere."

"Ah," Westwind eats and drinks with vigor, "An honest living off the land. Commendable, the backbone of any society is farmers."

From here the party wanders a time. On in the fields and past farms, working off the heavy lunch they ate. In time you come across a tree stump, where a young man in full armor sits. HIs helmet is off, long brown hair cascading down his back. A sheathed greatsword rests besides him as he leans back, looking up at the sky.

You are lead to a dusty country road. Nothing remarkable about it, a footpath through the fields. Yet as you walk, everything around you seems slightly indistinct. "This," Simon announces, "Is the Zenith Road. You can cover miles in a moment walking it."

The Order of the Zenith is an order of paladins and sentinels in the House of Nature. They serve Lathander as knights in shining armor as well as trainers for various mortals who are allowed to keep their memories on death. Any greater power has more organizations and orders than one can easily count, this is but one of them for Lathander. You walk for a good half hour or so - and then you see it ahead. A citadel of yellow stone, gleaming in the noon sunshine. A vast fortress, well defended and standing out on the plains around it. Knights on horseback are seen patrolling it, winged mounts and celestials in the air above it.

It's nothing if not a fitting tribute to the Lord of the Sunrise.

"So are we just supposed to go inside and someone will take care of us, or...?" Moore starts.

At this command Simon salutes with his blade and goes off.

"Lathander's aware of your request, Tryll," Moonlight continues.

"Whoa! It sure is bigger than I thought it'd be!" Calleigh remarks as she stares up at the golem. Surrounded by scaffolding and work crews hammering out finishing touches and etching surface designs, the golem stands a huge fifty feet tall. Every inch of its seventy foot length is covered in adamantine, and it sparkles dimly. Its body is resting on its haunches, braced up by two powerfully-built forelimbs. Its chest cavity is open and dark inside.

Nearby, Tryll is assisting Latha's team in putting the finishing touches on the goldenfire engine. A final set of caging and supporting structure before it gets slotted into place and brings the golem to life.

Title: Re: Latha's sunrise (Moore and Tryll; 84 days left)
Post by: Yuthirin on October 05, 2017, 04:33:56 PM
Technically it's our baby. You, Iddy, and I all made it together. It's a 3-way love child metal abomination against God.

Mental muscles grip the housing around the engine, invisibly lifting it and slotting it into place inside the golem's chest. With a great shove, it slides in with a grinding crunch and the chest cavity closes up around it.

"EVERYBODY OFF THE BIG GUY!" shouts Calleigh.

The golem shudders as people scatter off the scaffolding, and it slowly rises onto its hind legs as its body begins to shine from within. Dazzling light splays off its form as the dim sparkling rises to a bright shimmer, like sunlight on a clear pond. Brilliant golden fire encases its carapace for a brief moment as the engine within fully spins up, shining like a miniature sun before dissipating. The sound of great metal muscles flexing and moving can be heard hundreds of yards away as the golem stands up to its full height before settling down to await commands.

Moore will have spells like Greater Improvisation, Share Skills, Biblotecha Arcana and so on pre-cast on himself. They may not all be able to work at all times but he'll want as much of an edge as he can get.
Title: Re: Latha's sunrise (Moore and Tryll; 84 days left)

Magic circles, candles, self purifications and reflections, that sort of thing. I'm not planning to get into depth here since we usually don't and it's not critical. Tell me about the checks you know you need to make, so we're on the same page.

Title: Re: Latha's sunrise (Moore and Tryll; 84 days left)
Post by: Nephrite on October 07, 2017, 07:59:18 PM
I can handle all of them without issue.

In preparatory I cast the following:

Bibliotecha Arcana - +15 insight
Greater Improvisation - +13 luck, I will recast this as necessary (I can cast it 6 times per day, not sure if this ritual takes place over days or hours or what but either way I've got plenty)
Share Talents - Cast on Tryll, gives an untyped +2 bonus
Surge of Hope - Morale bonus. Cast as many times as he needs to, each casting is 27m long. He can also cast this 6 times.

I think it's a bit unreasonable to believe Moore could do any of his Inspire routine while focusing on the checks, so I will leave those off the table.

With all of that said and done, that gives 82 on K:A and K:P and 87 on the Spellcraft checks. This is assuming he can take 10 on them. If this is not the case let me know.

Alright. So.

Does it matter to the ritual if Moore makes the checks and Tryll/Calleigh assist?

Is it possible to do the ritual for both Tryll and Calleigh at the same time?
Title: Re: Latha's sunrise (Moore and Tryll; 84 days left)
Post by: Anastasia on October 09, 2017, 01:57:11 PM
The checks are too intensive for taking 10, so go ahead and roll them.

Tryll and Calleigh can assist, sure.

For the sake of brevity, we'll assume one ritual for them since they're bonded.

Hours of ritualism passes. Moore works on the ritual as you go through purifications and preparations, hours and hours and hours yet.

At last, when the final moment of it happens?

Why?

Why?

Why?

Tell me why.

After like thirty different rewrites, here we go. Ultimately, a long and involved answer isn't really needed. It's magic, and can probably judge my worth and intent on its own.

"Because Chaos is important, and we cant just let freedom and joy and fun and art be snuffed out by awful devil stuff!" Calleigh answers, as though it were obvious.

At the same time, Tryll replies, 'Because my destiny is my own, and it's time to choose what to do with it. I am the future of my people and I will define who we are to be. I have chosen to rise, instead of hide.'

Backlash.

Pain.

The world swirls around Moore, Tryll and Calleigh.

Reality is put into a blender and voted on by committee, pureed into oddness and oddities. All of you withstand, Calleigh shuddering. Her body rebels, captured by eldritch energies that rip through her. It leaves her slumped and bleeding, dazed and beaten.

150 damage to Calleigh.

In the aftermath of this, the three of you stand in nonsensical reality. Everything is twisting, feeling, touching.

After all, we are not without but within.

To become a paragon is a journey within.

Ahead of you stands a single door, undistorted and untouched.

Heal spell, should top her off.

'Constants exist in life. Tides change, currents shift, and the whims of gods are inscrutable. The death of my race is no more my responsibility than the ebb and flow of the river Oceanus. Our god chose to end my people, and I chose not to heed the call to enter paradise. I make my own currents now, and choose the destiny of my people because it is needed again.

As for being forgotten...time eventually erases all things, but not me. Not myself, or Gytha, or the few others that still live in the planes. The irrigo will return, in time. I will define what we can achieve.'

The other Tryll does not blink or react, but presses instead. 'Then if all of this will fade in time, what sort of paragon am I? What is the point if I cannot create a race that will endure the test of time, rather than wither and die?'
Title: Re: Latha's sunrise (Moore and Tryll; 84 days left)
Post by: Yuthirin on October 13, 2017, 11:53:19 PM
'Precisely what is needed. With all things being cyclical, what matters most is not lasting the test of time, but having the most impact in the time allotted. We become greater than the sum of our parts by lifting up others, not by ensuring a lasting legacy. Legacies come on their own, or do not. I am not concerned with them.

As for death...all mortal creatures will die, eventually. Though I have shed most of my mortality, I too shall likely die some day. Existential dread is pointless, and accomplishes nothing. What matters is now. This moment, and what I choose to do with it. I define myself not as a coward or a failure, but as one who lifts up the spirits of others and guards against tyranny. I am a master of the mind arts and a dabbling sorcerer besides. I am an artist, a wanderer, and a merchant. I am all of the things we once valued, and will value again.

Some day, we may fade again, but all things fade eventually. Such is the nature of Creation. Instead of allowing the natural entropy of all things to paralyze, allow it to catalyze great change and growth.'

Leading from the rear is not better or worse than leading from the front. It's simply a different leadership style. It is, however, imperative to understand that leadership relies on a group of people. I am not alone. Whether I lead a charge or manage from a war room or break ground on a city or design the plans and provide them to an architect; the end result is the same. Synergy is important.'

Then all is normal again. The ritual is over and yet Tryll knows.

Three. You understand in that moment that you have gained your Triune's attention and favor. As the irrigo rely on three to make young, you have forged a new life for your race with two others. You know the Triune will be watching in the future. For you have chosen three and honored the Triune. As such, you are commanded to see the irrigo grow once more and procure them a new world to live on. Be it Lifasa's oceans or another Prime, you must do so. Once done, you must see the multiply and prosper, and this time they must know other races and ensure another catastrophe does not come.

Tryll has obtained the paragon template. Rebulid as needed.

Calleigh understands that the Triune is watching her. It was not her destiny to be a paragon in the end, but the Triune is grateful for your support, and will bless you, for Tryll's sake and for Lifasa's sake.

Calleigh has obtained the following ability.

Triune's Favor (Su)

Calleigh is seen as an honorary irrigo by all irrigo and treated with the respect that title deserves. She gains the ability to manifest powers as a psion equal to 1/4th of Tryll's level.

Moore understands that the creator of the irrigo is watching him. He is pleased with the aid you have given Tryll. You risked more than you knew with your aid, and you will be rewarded.

Moore gains the following ability.

Triune's Favor (Su)

Moore is seen as an honorary irrigo by all irrigo and treated with the respect that title deserves. He gains the Hidden Talent feat and any one psionic feat as a bonus feat.

QuoteHit Points

The base creature gains maximum hit points per hit die, as well as an additional 12 hit points per hit die.

Read this carefully, Yuth. It's maximum HP per HD AND +12 hit points per hit die, not all hit dice become d12s.

Title: THIS IS A WORKING DOCUMENT

Alright, so the irrigo are all naturally psionic creatures. We'll start there.

He possesses a few racial abilities, including:Telekinetic Force, Hide Mind, Darkvision, a natural melee attack, Assume Likeness, Telepathy, and incorporeality.

Telekinetic Force is currently the only racial PLA that Tryll possesses, and it's used in lieu of hands. It's essentially a more precise Telekinesis spell. It's not even really a PLA; it's a psionic power that's baked in as a racial ability and can be used both indefinitely and at will. It's very much a utility power with extremely few offensive uses.

Expansion Ideas: Telekinetic Maneuver?

Hide Mind is a racial ability that prevents the irrigo from being detected as psionic. It's 100% passive utility, and its utility is dubious.

Expansion Ideas: Mind Blank?

Darkvision allows the irrigo to clearly see in the dark, up to 60 feet away.

Expansion Ideas: Ultravision? Ubiquitous Vision? Some sort of improvement thereof?

The melee attack does what it says on the box, with a twist. It's a touch attack that deals 1d6 damage as "incorporeal touch." I'm assuming this is similar to damage done by other incorporeal creatures in that it is disruption damage.

Expansion Ideas: Damage step up? Touch converts damaged tissue and inorganic material to water?

Assume Likeness is essentially a disguise ability, focusing on utility. It allows the unbodied to take the shape of any creature small, medium, or large by compressing or expanding its essence and filling in the color. It's only a cosmetic disguise, though. No additional abilities, attacks, or powers are gained.

Expansion Ideas: Shapeshift? Let's not. Not sure.

Telepathy allows the irrigo to communicate mentally with any creature within 100ft.

Expansion Ideas: ??

Incorporeal form is one of the best defensive measures in the game, and is tremendously powerful on its own.

Expansion Ideas: Shadowed Body?

Pure SLA/PLAs

Expansion Ideas: Correspond, Read Thoughts at will, Psychometry 3/day, Retrieve 1/day

Makes sense.

QuoteHide Mind is a racial ability that prevents the irrigo from being detected as psionic. It's 100% passive utility, and its utility is dubious.

Expansion Ideas: Mind Blank?

Depends on how much oomph you wanna spend there. Could just be upgraded to nondetection or something similar, but you're on the right track.

QuoteDarkvision allows the irrigo to clearly see in the dark, up to 60 feet away.

Would probably just be doubled.

QuoteThe melee attack does what it says on the box, with a twist. It's a touch attack that deals 1d6 damage as "incorporeal touch." I'm assuming this is similar to damage done by other incorporeal creatures in that it is disruption damage.

Expansion Ideas: Damage step up? Touch converts damaged tissue and inorganic material to water?

Damage stepping up would be the most logical.

QuoteAssume Likeness is essentially a disguise ability, focusing on utility. It allows the unbodied to take the shape of any creature small, medium, or large by compressing or expanding its essence and filling in the color. It's only a cosmetic disguise, though. No additional abilities, attacks, or powers are gained.

Expansion Ideas: Shapeshift? Let's not. Not sure.

If it's x number of times per day, make it at will. Otherwise depends on what you do with it.

QuoteTelepathy allows the irrigo to communicate mentally with any creature within 100ft.

Expansion Ideas: ??

Range increase. If you look at most devils and other creatures with telepathy and one side of racial hit dice, the range increases in epic. Usually to 200ft at level 21 and with possible upgrades later depending on how high they go. Darkvision usually gets doubled in range at 21 for the same logic.

QuoteIncorporeal form is one of the best defensive measures in the game, and is tremendously powerful on its own.

Expansion Ideas: Shadowed Body?

If it's just the incorporeal subtype, I wouldn't change it (unless it's some sort of paragon's gift new ability thing. That's not really what paragon's gift is aimed for, even though the SRD sometimes includes incorporeal traits in special qualities.

QuotePure SLA/PLAs

Expansion Ideas: Correspond, Read Thoughts at will, Psychometry 3/day, Retrieve 1/day

Stuff like that's fine as long as it's on theme. Gathgorian has an expanded SLA selection, many epic outsiders I do get the same, even before something like the paragon template comes into play.

In some ways, this part of the paragon template is like upgrading an epic level creatures with one side of racial hit dice. Usually all the old abilities take a step up. Same principle.

That being said, if you wanna latch onto something and really put some oomph into it (ala Gathgorian's aura), that's fine. I'm just assuming you don't for any of these for the sake of easy replies. If you do on an ability, then this goes out the window for that ability.

Expansion: Instead of using a measured amount of force, Tryll can choose to cleverly apply overwhelming strength in battle. Once per encounter as a standard action, Tryll can use mental force to imitate the Telekinetic Maneuver against another creature. Treat this power as having been augmented to his current manifester level. This power cannot be augmented further.

Hide Mind is a racial ability that prevents the irrigo from being detected as psionic. It's 100% passive utility, and its utility is dubious.

Expansion: This ability expands, adding the effects of the Nondetection spell.

Darkvision allows the irrigo to clearly see in the dark, up to 60 feet away.

Expansion: Double the range of darkvison to 120ft.

The melee attack does what it says on the box, with a twist. It's a touch attack that deals 1d6 damage as "incorporeal touch." I'm assuming this is similar to damage done by other incorporeal creatures in that it is disruption damage.

Expansion Ideas: Damage step up to 1d8? That's only one step.

Expansion Ideas: Not sure what to do here. All ideas are wither illusion-based or look like Polymorph. Leave as is? Maybe allow to take multiple forms at once, like two creatures?

Telepathy allows the irrigo to communicate mentally with any creature within 100ft.

Expansion: Expanded range, at least doubled. Tripled for the Triune?

Incorporeal form is one of the best defensive measures in the game, and is tremendously powerful on its own.

Expansion: Not changing the incorporeality, per say, but what about altering the deflection bonus that comes along with it? Allowing the deflection bonus to also factor into saves.

Pure SLA/PLAs

Expansion Ideas: Correspond, Crystal Shard, Read Thoughts at will. Demoralize, Psychometry 3/day. Retrieve 1/day.

Most of the abilities don't necessarily lend themselves to the "souping up" that Gathgorian got, so here's my thoughts on a sample:

Name: Gift of the Triune, The Rules of Three, Boon of Three Faces
Flavor: The will of the Triune manifests in Tryll, granting him a pool of power unrestricted by mortal constraints.
Description: Tryll has a secondary pool of power points equal to (3 x 3 ability scores. The highest, middle, and lowest are used.) These points are not subject to the restrictions set by manifester level and can be applied any time an augmented power is manifested.

For example, if Tryll's manifester level is 29, he can normally augment powers up to a total limit of 29 power points. Using points from this secondary pool, he can exceed this limit.

Due to the nature of this gift, the points from this secondary pool do not refresh at the normal rate. Points are refreshed every third day from the inception of this power's creation.

Title: Re: Latha's sunrise (Moore and Tryll; 84 days left)
Post by: Yuthirin on October 26, 2017, 03:22:18 PM
Couple hundred. Way too many, tbh. I'm really going for a Triune theme here, since they decided to show up for the apotheosis. I'd pare down the pool to 33 points. What do you think?
Title: Re: Latha's sunrise (Moore and Tryll; 84 days left)
Post by: Anastasia on October 26, 2017, 03:40:17 PM
The points by itself aren't really what I'm worried about. You generally have sufficient power points. It's the ignoring the normal cap on psionics that worries me. That's there for a pretty good reason, it suddenly makes lets Tryll go nova. On a much lesser scale than the previous idea due to simple power point limitations, but it is a concern of throwing something like a 60ish PP power out when the chips are down.

Title: Re: Latha's sunrise (Moore and Tryll; 84 days left)
Post by: Yuthirin on October 27, 2017, 05:02:56 PM
Alright, let's run with it then.

Things to improve Metapsionics:
1. Multiple Metapsionic feats at once
2. Improving the effect of Metapsionics
3. Adding additional effects to Metapsionics
4. Reduce the cost of Metapsionics
5. Create new Metapsionics

The epic feat Improved Psionic Focus already allows the application of multiple Metapsionic feats to a power with the expense of a single psionic focus.

The epic feat Improved Metapsionics reduces the cost of applying Metapsionics by 2 points per selection of the feat.

If we don't want to imitate feats (because that sounds like a waste), we have:

1. Improving the effect of Metapsionics
2. Adding additional effects to Metapsionics
3. Create new Metapsionics

Creating new Metapsionics would fall again into the feat range of business. Additional Metapsionics are best served on that range.

1. Improving the effect of Metapsionics
2. Adding additional effects to Metapsionics

Metapsionics can be improved directly by boosting modifiers or adding additional effects.

Improving existing effects is easy. Some can't be improved, like Maximize Power. It does exactly what it says and maximizes the damage of a given power. However, feats like Empower, Twin, Chain, Enlarge, Extend, etc. can have their effects strengthened. Empower going up to 1.75x or 2x instead of 1.5x Twin creating a third  manifestation, Enlarge tripling the effective range of a power instead of doubling it.

Adding additional effects to powers is a bit more challenging. Enlarge could also expand the area of effect, but Widen already does that. Alternatively, Empower could add an elemental or damage type to a power in order to defeat damage reduction or resistances. Opportunity could be used as an immediate action instead of activating only on an attack of opportunity.

On a completely different tack, the paragon ability could give access to a cloud of Metapsionic feat uses, a certain number of times per day. This would be a list of all powers, ignoring the current list Tryll's of known feats. For example, he could use Widen Power X times per day, even though he doesn't have the requisite feat.

Also: <Nephrite> Hey, for an idea for your power thing, maybe 3/day +3 CL (or psionic level or whatever is appropriate) augment to his powers?

Thoughts?

Just kidding!

Alright, so you said to go with straight and to the point.

So we'll go with something that just popped into my head. Additional/augmented metapsionic abilities when using metapsionics is a great idea. It adds additional utility.

1. The power is also Widened.
2. The power assumes an elemental type of your choosing. This is in addition to any elemental type already applied. If the power grants additional modifiers based on elemental type chosen, both are used.
3. The power is Enlarged.
4. The power strikes the original target a second time for half of its full effect.
5. After manifesting the power, the manifester gains 50% concealment until their next round.
6. The power strikes unerringly, ignoring both cover and any agility-based bonuses to AC or Reflex saves.
7. 2x the effect of any one metapsionic feat applied to a power.

Some of these are very small, and some are very strong. Now, if you're cool with all of that, stop me right here and we're done.

However, if you feel like it needs more attention:

It's WHEEL! OF! FATE FORTUNE! Specifically, this.

When using this power, roll a d100. Use the effect listed.

1: Bummer. Roll on the TABLE OF SADNESS.
2-10: The power gains +10 to defeat spell resistance.
10-20: The power is also Widened.
21-30: The power assumes an elemental type of your choosing. This is in addition to any elemental type already applied. If the power grants additional modifiers based on elemental type chosen, both are used.
31-40: The power is Enlarged.
41-50: The power strikes the original target a second time for half of its full effect.
51-60: After manifesting the power, the manifester gains 50% concealment until their next round.
61-70: The power strikes unerringly, ignoring both cover and any agility-based bonuses to AC or Reflex saves.
71-80: 1.5x the effect of any one metapsionic feat applied to a power.
81-90: 2x the effect of any one metapsionic feat applied to a power.
91-95: Roll again!
96-99: Roll twice again! Choose both effects!
100: JACKPOT! 3x the effect of ALL metapsionic feats applied to a power.

The Table of Sadness is pulled from an old 2nd ed WotC Wild Surge list found here (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/files/WildMagicTables.rtf). It was then edited heavily. Unless specifically stated in the Table, the original power still manifests. Effects that alter mental state are ignored if the target is immune to mind-affecting.
