---DETAILS---
When one thread is far ahead and has to wait on the other girls, it's no fun. It's been Haruka the last few times, so we've decided to have an omake thread. It will only be posted in when her threads are paused and is purely for our amusement.
Other people, should they be ahead instead, may be randomly used here if they wish. This is a glorified time killer, nothing more.
---RULES---
The basic rules for the Sailor Moon Splinter Game apply. Beyond that? Have fun. You'll get a touch more leeway than usual, this isn't meant to be terribly serious or rule lawyerish.
If you act extremely retarded, I will ask Drac to give you a locked IDIOT KING custom title. So don't do it, kay? No one wants a stupid omake ruined by real stupidity. Not that I ever expect to need to do it, but...
You can be surprised sometimes by a seemingly good PC. We all know what I'm talking about.
---NOTES---
I'll start/stop this thread as events warrant. Any comments, lewd comeons or suggestions of how to rob participants in it of their dignity* may be posted on the OOC board. Thank you.
It begins in the next post.
*Knowing you girls, I assume most of the suggestions will be aimed at the GM. I feel so unloved.
The timing for this is roughly a month after the current point in the Splinter game. Haruka has spent the night at Viluy's. Her house is empty this fine Sunday morning, and your relationship is doing well. It feels like a hurdle has finally been overcome...
---
As you eat a nice, restrained lunch - better than your breakfast, which wasn't TECHINCALLY food, but still quite satisfying in it's own way. It's easy to sit back and relax, as Viluy serves simple grilled bread and tofu.
A ring of the doorbell gets her attention, causing her to wipe her hands on her apron and go to answer it. "Just a moment," she smiles, going to respond to the call. "It's probably just a neighbor wanting to borrow some sugar."
Haruka nods as Viluy goes, though curiosity gets the best of her as she follows her to see just who might be at the door. She tries to keep from out of sight of the visitor, however.
Outside is a boy, perhaps eighteen. Slender and pimpled, his greasy brown hair is unremarkable. He wears a blue uniform, a TTS stitched on the breast.
"Telegram for a Miss..." he reads off Viluy's name from a little slip of paper. Putting that away and withdrawing a small manila envelope, thrusting it forward. "Are either of you her?"
Viluy stares a moment, her dress and apron complimenting the 'flummoxxed housegirl' look oh so well. "Telegram? Um, I'm her," she says, taking it. "Who in the world would..." she murmurs, fishing in her pocket for a few yen coins and bestowing them on the delivery boy.
"Thanks, Ma'am," he smiles, tipping a service cap as he goes off.
Haruka walks over and puts her arms around Viluy's slim waist as she peeks over the shorter girl's shoulder. "Should I be jealous, dearest?" she asks her in a teasing sing-song tone.
"Of course not, Haruka," she smiles at the contact, ripping the envelope open carefully, top first. "It's probably from one of my parents who wanted to send a postcard in some off the wall way."
Inside is a finely folded sheet of white paper. Unfolding it, Viluy reads aloud to you. "Viluy, stop. I know who you and who your love are. Stop." At this point she frowns, voice tightening like a noose around the neck of whom sent this telegram. "If you don't want me to reveal, stop. Who you are and who she is, stop." The last stop comes out more and more like a curse, your love's fingers crimpling the edges of the telegram. "Come to the Nafoi Gym tonight at 8 PM, stop. Just you and Miss Ten'oh or I'll spill everything, stop.
Signed, stop,
Mr. X, stop."
Viluy finishes, lowering the page as she stares at the hateful paper in wonder. "Haruka?" she asks in a perfectly calm, unhappy voice, shoulders jerking up and down as she twitches.
Haruka stares at the telegram, not quite expecting this particular turn of events. She closes her eyes to steady her thoughts as she attempts to tackle this latest issue.
Eyes open now, she pulls away from Viluy, leaning against the wall as she hummed to herself. "Interesting," is all she replies with at first, tapping her chin with her finger.
"I'm half tempted to ignore it, personally," Haruka replies with a shrug initially, "but I'm also curious as to what this person's agenda is."
Turning curious eyes on to Viluy, she asks, "You've never gotten anything like this before, right? Not with this sort of content, but 'fan mail', perhaps? Just speculation, but could be a fanboy with a screw loose or something."
Viluy's shoulders continue to twitch as if caught in a inner storm, the girl slowly putting the now refolded telegram in her pocket. "Haruka, dear...
This is completely random, not to mention rather...vexing." Turning to you, "As I recall, it's the younger Senshi with these strange fanboys who draw those comics about them.
Though..." Sighing, she rubs the brigde of her nose. "It's possible, or that someone does know who we are and wants to take advantage of it. Either way, though," she asserts, voice fiery as another Buster, "This Mr X needs special treatment.
We're going, Haruka. Oh yes...."
Haruka chuckles slightly at the fire in Viluy's eyes. "Yes, dear," she placates, patting her shoulders, "but before we go running off, let's get a hold of Usagi or the Professor to let them know what's going on."
She begins to walk back to the table and return to her meal, but says over her shoulder, "He said come alone, but never said anything about tell noone after all." And I've got a weird feeling about this, she says to herself.
"You can do that, dear," Viluy purrs, already taking off her apron. "I'm going to go work on my Mosaic Buster...heh, heh, heh," she smiles strangely as she makes a beeline to her computer room, only semi used lately.
She doesn't even bother coming to get her now only warm bowl of lunch, either. Hmph.
"Um... right," Haruka replies awkwardly watching as Viluy goes off to work on her project in an... enthusiastic manner. She guessed she could refer to it as that anyway.
The call to the Professor takes a bit of time as the details of the situation needed to be explained. With the Professor's parting word to 'be careful' still fresh in her mind, she pushes on to the second call to Usagi.
She gives the Princess all the information regarding location and time, trying her best to allay the concerns that she voices. After giving her promise that she'd be careful she was able to get a reluctant consent and with that she placed the phone back on the cradle.
She sat back down at the table breathing a sigh as she picked idly at her food for a moment. Her appetite seemed to have passed with having to hear out loud the concerns that were running through her own mind.
Picking up Viluy's plate and her own, she cleaned the plates off before making her way to see how her busy mad scientist was doing. Haruka wanted the girl to try her luck with her Talisman to gleam some information on the matter before they depart.
You find Viluy at her computer - a huge mini network of a few high end systems as well as with a splash of more exotic devices attached. One is a little, microwave like box, which is where she puts her bracelet when she works on her Mosiac Buster. It's currently on as she crunches over the screen, typing away...
Haruka knocks on the door before entering. "Viluy," she prompts, waiting for some sign of acknowledgment before pushing on. No sense waste her breath if the girl's too absorbed to even hear her after all.
While she doesn't stop, "Yes, Haruka," she asks, voice deeper in concentration. The lighting in the room is dim, sparks coming from the Buster modifier as it works.
"I'm going to make sure I have a...special surprise for whomever thinks it's funny to send me something like...THAT," she smiles, unseen to you.
Haruka half expected the girl to break out in a fit of megalomaniacal laughter as she forged ahead with work on her device. Stowing the mental image away as teasing material for another day, she went ahead with her question. "Think you can give it a go with your Talisman? I'm hoping you can catch a glimpse of what's going on. I'd rather not go in blind so if your Mirror doesn't work, I'm going to snag Rei with a phone call," she tells her.
She looks up briefly, "I will, I will," she says in a giggly, distracted tone that tells you all you need to know about when that will happen. Another shower of sparks comes from the nanobot modifier, almost ominious as it sparks...
Haruka sighs at Viluy's antics, but allows her to continue on her special project for now. Walking off back towards the living room, she plops herself down on the couch. She takes out her cellphone, scrolling through the contact list, to give a certain fiery Senshi a call.
"Please give me something a bit more fruitful, Rei..." she pleads, while dialing for an order of 'miko initiated fire reading' to go.
"Miko fire readings! This is Rei-chan, how can I help you!" Dressed in a blue and white restaurant uniform accented with a cute apron, Rei-chan answers the phone, ready to do all your fire reading biddings!
....Well, no. In a cruel turn of events for reality, Haruka's momentary daydream isn't how things work. How rude!
Though, you do reach a miko, at least. "Hikawa Shrine," Hotaru's voice, somewhere between childhood and adolesence, is what greets your tender ears. A brief conversations ascertains that Rei is indeed there, and once Hotaru fills her in, she's sure that she'll do a fire reading for you. Just leave your number and she'll call you back in a moment.
Haruka does give Hotaru the number to her cell and bids the girl farewell, letting her return to her miko duties. With the call now complete, she sighs as she's left to the oppressive silence of the house that is only broken by an occasional shot of laughter from Viluy's room.
"Be a little considerate of a girl's low tolerance to boredom, will ya..." Haruka tells noone in particular as she lies across the length of the couch, letting her phone rest on her chest.
And thus, Haruka waits. And perchance to dream?

GRENADESLOVECATTRENCHWARHELLBOOM
---
Stirred from your reverie by the gentle ringing of your cell phone, Haruka blinks. Strange dream there, even as it's memory fades from your mind like the receding waters of the low tide.
"Haruka," Rei answers into the phone on your hello, sounding cheerful enough. Guess that hopefully means she didn't see your splattery demise...
Or it's assured and she's planning her own block party. Can never tell with girls like that, can you?
"Hotaru told me about your call," she goes on. "And..."
Of course, she lets a dramatic pause go, savoring the juicy tension.
"I saw a man in a mask," she shrugs. "A bit on the big side, with a striped purple and black mask."
"That's all your fire reading revealed?" Haruka asks, feeling rather dissapointed if that was the extent of it all.
"Sorry," Rei shakes her head, unseen by you. "He didn't look overly threatening or anything, though," she offers. "I didn't sense great hostility or darkness."
"So perhaps a weird fanboy as I guessed earlier..." Haruka says aloud, more for her benefit than anything. "Well, come to the rescue if things turn south, Rei. I'll keep my communicator thumbed open so you can listen in."
"Will do," she nods. "Crazed fan or not...just make sure he doesn't have any doujinshi," she says darkly, muttering to herself. "Or burn any you find."
"Awww. You mean I can't keep the Sailor Mars issues?" Haruka teases, finding this a nice distraction to the boredom.
Wow.
That's the first time you've ever heard someone twitch so hard that it was an audible clack over the phone.
"No," she says slowly, "You may not. Nor the Sailor Moon issues, or even the Sailor Mau issues. Heh....if you need any help, I'll gladly hold a bonfire afterwards," she rebounds, almost sweetly cheery now.
Haruka blinks at the 'sound' of the twitch then chuckles, finding Rei's annoyance cutely amusing. "So... what you're lightly implying is that I might not be allowed to read about the adventures of Mistress Mars or Topless Avenger Mars-chan?"
Wow, again.
If Rei keeps grinding her teeth that hard, she'll need dentures really soon. Man.
"Exactly, Haruka-chan," she replies, the -chan honorific laced with more honeyed venom than you could imagine. "And I won't read about Uranus Plus."
Haruka luckily carries a steady supply of anti-venom so she pushes on, taking Rei's veiled threat in stride. "Oh very well. If that is your wish, Mistress Rei," Haruka quips, now sporting an overly cheery sing-song tone. "Anything for you."
Ah, cartoons! Road RUnner, Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, Wily E Coyote. So many fond memories of those American cartoons they liked to run for little kids. So hilarious when someone got so mad that they blew up or choked someone over the phone.
So, in context, it's damn lucky this isn't a cartoon.
"Goooood," she grinds out. "Now get going." With that and a click, the call is ended with a final dose of regal Mars Princess pique.
Haruka pouts at the earful of dial tone she recieves. With the distraction Rei afforded her now missing, the oppressive boredom until Viluy finishes begin to gnaw on her in earnest.
"Now what?" she asks aloud, hoping for some answer to drop from the heavens and enlighten her.
Indeed, it does - almost. "Haruka," Viluy calls, after another mad scientist cackle. "Come here, it's done!"
Well, let's just hope it doesn't explode, Haruka comments to herself with a grin.
"Coming," she tells Viluy as she makes her way to her room.
STanding over the nanobox, Viluy cackles as she withdraws her Mosaic bracelet. "It's done," Viluy grins. "The Mosaic Buster special edition is ready to rock!"
Patting the shiny bracelet, "I'll have a surprise for this fan, just in case. Oh yes."
Haruka walks over to Viluy and places both hands firmly on her shoulders. "Dearest, you're scaring me," she tells her with a straight face.
She then reaches into her pocket, withdrawing a handkerchief that she uses to dab at Viluy's chin. "And you've got mad scientist spittle on your chin," she scolds in teasing tone.
"...Oh," she says, letting you wipe. "But the point remains," Viluy goes on in a more sane tone, "Is that I'm so ready for this fan now!"
Raising one fist to the sky, she clearly senses a triumph.
"Yes, yes. Victory is at hand," Haurka replies with a smile, saying so more to amuse and placate her productive little mad scientist than anything.
"Now, about the little job you were going to do for me?" she prompts rather cutely, waiting to see if Viluy even remembers what she's referring to.
That gets a long blink, as Viluy clearly hits a blank.
"Um..." she manages intelligently, tapping her chin. "I finished lunch, didn't I?" she flounders, clearly not remembering. "Heh...heh....heh?"
You hope this is merely a brain fart and not the first symptom of Doctor Wily syndrome, as that would rather suck.
Haruka raises an eyebrow, which only twitches at the familiar floundering tactic that Viluy seems to be utilizing.
"Somewhere along the line, I believe we've switched roles..." Haruka says, heaving a much put-upon sigh.
While massaging her temples and with some slight annoyance coloring the eyes she cast in her direction, she says, "While lunch was delicious, dearest," Ooh, there was emphasis on that last word, not a good sign. "You were going to use your Talisman for me. Remember?"
Haruka's tone was sweet, but it was totally out of synch with the vibe Viluy was getting.
".....
...oh," Viluy blushes, mentally berating herself. "Sorry, sorry, I got sidetracked," she admits, wilting before withdrawing said Talisman. "Right...focus on this fan, wasn't it?" Speaking rather abashidly, she half hangs her head as she begins to focus.
Haruka shakes her head with some amusement as Viluy goes about her task.
"It feels as if a bit of you spilled into me and me into you," Haruka comments idly, "though it seems as if you took the worst of the exchange," Haruka says with a grin, patting Viluy on the head comfortingly.
Viluy tries not to smile on that, instead turning her attention to her Talisman.
....
.....
...........
Sadly, this isn't Viluy's talent expanding as she waits. No, no. Several long, silent minutes pass as she peers into her mirror, before, "I saw something," she finally says. "A masked man, not very big or tall. He was standing with a microphone."
"Oh good grief," Haruka says with a hint of exasperation. "Is it 8pm yet?" she asks with a tired groan.
"No," Viluy smiles, cackling a bit more. "But if you want," she says, "We can...do a few experiments?" Smiling quite differently as she ends her cackle, her eyes speak of a certain offer.
Haruka asks innocently, "What kind of experiments would this be?" She wanted to see if Viluy was bold enough to spell it out explicitly - flushed fumbling was what she was expecting though.
Surprisingly, she goes over to a nearby table, brushing off all of the materials with a loud clang. You notice a few things remain - straps. "I want to strap you here and test my Mosaic Buster on it's non damaging setting," she explains. "You're the perfect tester."
Haruka twitches a bit, having read Viluy's signals wrong. I guess she didn't take all of my bad traits, she thinks to herself. But still...
"You want to strap me down and use your Mosaic Buster on me?" Haruka repeats, not quite liking the sound of that and letting it show with a worried frown. "I don't know about this, Viluy...."
"And how... why would I be the perfect tester anyway?" she asks, giving her unstable genius lover a curious look at that.
"Because, Haruka dear," she smiles, "You'll see. After all, you aren't a man for this...and our guest is." Cackling again, she happily patas her Buster.
"No danger of you being hurt on this mode, because of that."
"I hope you realize just how much you're going to owe me for this," Haruka replies in a saccharine, sing-song tone. "And I won't let you forget either," she promises with a rather serene smile.
Nevertheless she walks over to the table, as Viluy gets ready to start on her strapping, fun-fun project. Though she pauses as a "miko in front of the Sacred Flame" like thought occurs to her.
"Why do you need to strap me down for this?" she asks with a curious tilt of her head.
"Heh...I'm sure you won't," Viluy comments, stopping when you ask your second question.
"Well, Haruka, dear," she smiles carefully. "I wouldn't want you to squirm or move, and an accident could still be very painful," she explains. "Very painful.
VERY."
"I see your skill in persuasion still requires some spit and polish, Viluy," Haruka returns flatly with a look that said the amount owed had just accrued and interest was steadily increasing.
Cowed by your commentary, "Okay, got you," she says more normally. Taking your side, she guides you into the steps more sedately now. Looks like Germaluy is gone for the moment.
Oh God, you hope.
Haruka simply waits for Viluy to get setup and get it over with. She just hoped that this half-baked idea scheming wouldn't become a habit with the girl. Well, she'd see soon enough how this whole fiasco was going to come to a close.
Wow.
As she unstraps you, you have to wince and blink. Seeing the nanites form a giant hammer and power a mere inch away from where your jewels would be if you were male is rather unnerving. Even more so when the knife came out...
Oi.
"Just in case he's THAT sort of fan," Viluy says, as if that explains it all.
