Title: Redpriest & plagiarism
Post by: Edward on September 17, 2004, 11:51:03 AM
No, this isn't an new example of Redpriest plagiarizing.  Also, my apologies, I'm not sure there's a better place to put this.

My question is what is the history of Redpriest as a plagiarizer.  How many times has he done and how recently?

Three I believe.  Most recent being about a year ago as was witnessed in the large debacle over on the Anime Adventure.  He plagarized scenework from an award winning lemon (word for word, names changed only).  He kept this up hiding it through various flips.  I forget what the other one was, but he also did it in the anime adventure.

Thanks.  That was enough to help me frame a response to a vocal idiot defending Red Priest on the Delphi replcement forum.

But now they've gotten even dumber - http://forum.anifics.com/index.php?webtag=RANMAFANFICS&msg=974.27 - claiming they wouldn't even care is some plagiarized their own works.

Delphi has become (or always was to a certain extent) a blackhole of stupidity, much like the anime addventure. The majority of people it draws in have the worst internet etiquette and logic skills possible.

...

I regret the time having read that thread.  >_<  And those are the same idiots of a year ago who said the same things when it happened.

Yeah, you can't fix stupidity.  :(

I sort of hope someone takes Philip Weigel up on his claim that he doesn't care if anyone plagiarizes him.  :)  But maybe plagiarizers have higher standards.  :)
