Title: Fanfiction Article of the Week
Post by: KLSymph on November 18, 2004, 04:07:34 PM
And by "week" I mean this is already some three weeks late and I know I won't be having an internet connection to post with during Thanksgiving break, much less content to post, so...

Gah.

But anyway, to try and get this fanfiction folder going, just something I came up with for general amusement.

Asinine Responses to C&C (http://pishoque.net/fanfiction/CCResponses.html)

Post some you've seen yourself!

And now, I'm going to go away to somewhere where I won't embarrass myself further.

This is both amusing and useful, actually. It's nice to see a checklist of the 'Oh God, I guess that three page clusterfuck of a story wasn't enough proof that he's a retard' responses, along with graceful and witty retorts.

The last one gets extra bonus points, too.

Quote* "It's not the spelling and grammar and whatever that's important to a story, it's the characterisation and the plot and stuff!"
Fallacy of: Misplacing priorities
Response 1: You misspelled "characterization".

Characterisation is only spelled with a 'z' in America.

You butchered our language!

It's good to see something positive has come from your modship over on Anime Addventure.  Your sacrifice was not in vain, this was quite funny.

Though this:
Quote* "You just don't get the joke! This is supposed to be funny, not
serious!"

Should probably be linked to the ECB of Tenshi.

You're so mean! Leave them alone, at least they try... er... wait... no...

QuoteShould probably be linked to the ECB of Tenshi.

Wasn't thinking of an ECB piece when I did that one. And wouldn't it fit Granberry better?

They're doomed and hopeless simpletons.  =)  But you try well.

As a card-carrying prescription member of both the Cannibus Club and the Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, etc. county medical cannibus patient's program ... trust me.  Normal folks who get stoned are much better at writing than the majority of people on the AA.  And almost everyone on ff.net. :)

Rocko the trained chimp could write better than the majority of ff.net, so that isn't saying much.

True.  Unlike most of ff.net, Rocko is trained, though.

I think you missed some.

1) You're criticizing me, you must be a troll.

2) You can't criticize me, you haven't written anything.

3) You're criticizing me, you must be a stalker.

4) You're criticizing me, the mods should ban you.

5) I've said all I'm going to, except for the those other 37 posts I'm going to make.

6) I'm right because I said I'm right.

7)  I typed it in CAPS, it must be more important.

Seriously, KL, you don't get paid near enough to mod that place.  SaraT was the only one who bothered to apologize to you and she was the one who least needed to, IMO.

QuoteI think you missed some.

Yes, yes, but I didn't want to make it an exercise in beating on the AA. I was just going on the ones I've personally received more than once, from whereever it came from. And besides, I'm holding a few just so I can squeeze a few more easy updates from this idea if I need to.

Though now that you mentioned it, I really should have remembered to put #2 in this. Drat.

And I've waiting to get #4 ever since becoming a mod. I'm still pretty sure someone on the AA will hit me with that someday.

As for that discussion, yeah, I still have no idea what the point of it was.

very nice. I highly approve. A pity nothing is coming to me. But then maybe I'm lucky, since I don't get too many braindead responses anymore.

Sorry, DB! I'll come up with some responses RIGHT NOW!

Erhm, wait... um... dang it - I don't have a fic to respond to! Should I just pretend I read something?

Ooh, I got it! I'll act like I know what I'm talking about.  That never fails miserably.

Quote^ Tangerine glanced up, her elaborate facepaint ruined by her torrential tears.  "How could this happen? It can't be my fault!" She wailed and beat at the floor.

See, now this is an effective line, but I can't help but wonder if it wouldn't be better slightly broken up - keeping the focus directly on the damage to her psyche.  Just my HO of course.

Hmm... now perhaps I should REALLY read something.

Yes, that's the ticket.
