Title: Next step, Stockades!
Post by: Music-chan on December 23, 2004, 12:50:18 AM
We're talking about getting a quick Stockades group tomorrow (It's Wednesday right now, where I'm at) sometime after mightnight EST.  That's sometime after 9pm PST. There's quite a few stockades quests that one can bring into this, and they're just about everywhere, so gather everything you can.

To my knowledge, there's *three* quests in Stormwind, two of which you get off the guy outside the stockade. There's another in Loch Modan after the Dark Iron War quest, another in Darkshire, and another in Redridge.

I think that's it. God, the humans of Azeroth have issues with their prison system. They're all like "This guy did something bad and got caught! Go execute him!" >_>;;

Anyway, I'm all for a stockade run.

You missed one then.  The Colour of Blood, since I'm guessing the third SW quest you're refering is the one that starts after the Deadmines.  CoB is started by a wandering female npc in Old Town.  I have it though and should be able to share.

This sounds like fun.  I'd like in on it. :p

I did count that one, but it was unclear. The one from the deadmines eventually takes you back to the warden guy at the Stockade. Basil Thredd, yeah? Stupid name. >_>

Note: The Stockades are both much shorter and much easier than Blackfathom, *but* the fighting tends to be a lot more messy due to the cramped quarters.

Take a mage and make sure they're good at nailing runners. If anyone successfully flees in that place it's an instant party wipe. :)

Well, our stockade run ended LESS than stellar last night. >_>  We were actually doing very good up until our boss. We went right first, then went left.  I think the guy's name was Dexton Ward or something close to that. Anyway, Rat was in a hurry to leave, so we didn't clear out the side passages before taking on the main room in front.

BAD IDEA.

We managed to get two of the guys in the room out and then I tapped the guy with no problems. What happened after that was a MESS.  He feared not one, but THREE of us....directly into the rooms that we left full of defias. Yeah...nasty.  So we all died horribly, especially poor Shaya who ended up with a mob of four around her.  Koryn and Lindele survived the longest, but that's only because of much use of potions and such. Sure, we killed Ward, but we were all DEAD so we didn't get a chance to get his head.

Bleh. Ah well. We'll try again later.

When is everyone up for a re-run through the Stockades?

Trying . . . not . . . to . . . laugh . . .

*ahem*

Ah well.

It's a mistake we all have to make OURSELVES and learn from, eh Rat? :)

We've already had this conversation. Quiet, you. >_>

Our second foray into the prisons, went much better even with only two people.  We at first went in to just finish off the bandana quest, but decided to risk it and went after Ward again.  We skipped most of the cells and went straight for him.  We did clear out the side rooms, and we managed to clear out everyone in Ward's cell before we took him on.  Except for the short fear on Lindele, which sent her back towards the exit and the respawned Defias but didn't get any adds, the fight was easy.

Though I must say.  The Stockades suck if you're trying to get loot.  Damn prisoners not having cool stuff. =p

I ended up running it with Baldy -- er, Bailde.  And some other guys.  Just the four of us stormed the Stockades reasonably effectively.

Hmmm.

Title: Another Stockades run?
Post by: BubbaL33T on January 06, 2005, 02:35:34 PM
Anyone in the guild up for another trip through the stockades or have alts ready to go through it for the first time?

If so we will need to do it before the 8th. After that I will likely not be online again till the 15th or 16th.  :(

Level 24 may be lowish for the Stockades, but with a priest, Sol should be okay.  We'll want some company, though.

I don't *need* anything there.  But the 'kades are pretty quick and at times lucrative.

So if you catch me online, you can count on my participation!

Er....

A level 37 character in a party with us IS an effective way to make sure we only get 4 EXP per kill.  There's a benefit to grouping, but if you're not all within about a six level range, it becomes a detriment.

Well, I WOULD like to take Harpsichord through the stockades, but she's not really a high enough level yet. =( I was hoping to run her through the Deadmines another time or two, and pick up those other Deadmines quests, like the bandana one and the Miners card one.....

I like to be helpful.  You don't have to invite me.

Sol's down with this.  The Cruel Barb would be better than his current weapon, and I think he and Patchem could stand some extra EXP before trying the Stockades.

You don't think level 25 for a Priest in a well rounded group is high enough for the stockades?

More that I know a Warrior isn't.
