Title: Retirement

I've created this thread for people to say that they've left the guild, and where they can be found (aside from /w and mail, anyway):

I'm retiring from WoW.  As the guild-master, this is kinda sucky, but, well, I've never been a great guild-master anyway.  I can't even figure out why people thought it would be a good idea to let me be in control, and my tabbard design sucked.

Anyway, there's more to it than this, but yeah, I'm leaving the game.  If someone wants to take over as the guild master, I'll help you do whatever is needed to transfer guild mastery over to someone else ... or you can just destroy the guild and re-create it.  I'm sure the guild's higher level members and friends have enough money to do it quite cheaply.

Well, no reason to let this run long; sorry for all the trouble, and thanks for the good times.

In the effort to keep the guild running as you intended it, I would be glad to take over or, if not me, then CyMage.  Personally, I wish you weren't retiring as we could still have some fun playing but whether or not you quit is entirely up to you.

Still, I hold out hope that someday we can do an Onyxia run as a guild, someday.

Anyway, I would like to see the guild take a more RP stance. If we don't try to participate in the role play on our server, everyone might as well just re-roll and start up their characters on a normal server.  I'm not saying we should do that, but it would be a lot more fun to participate in RP events that the server runs and other such aspects, maybe even running events ourselves. I'd like to see us do that. I'd like to try, at any rate.

You did a good job, Brian, no matter what anyone else said. Any faults you may find in the guild is everyone's fault, not just yours.

/bump

I take my share!

A. I'm not that great of a role player. (I admit that)
B. I'm not very proactive in helping to bring events together
C. I'm not on as often as I'd like to participate.

I bailed with Kiska.  Mail or tells or Ironforge.

I left Kerasyn in the guild specifically because that character -is- the right level to play with people, so if anyone wants to play with me at some point, send me a tell or an AIM message or some such.

If any of the guild leadership want to talk to me about that call, feel free, I'll abide by whatever decision you feel the need to make.

I took a while to reply to this one, so I could try and do so calmly:

No, Rez, I am not going to 'kick you out' of the guild for petty vengeance.  It's not like it would change anything, except move me from 'annoyance' to 'enemy' on your list, and that's kinda pointless, especially over a game.

I'm leaving the game (account expires on April 4th).  I thought I made that clear.  Do whatever you feel you must; it's important to you that you enjoy your game, and to that end, like I told you before, tell everyone else to fuck off if they're in your way.  Otherwise you're being inconsistant, and that just drags the process out before you can get back to enjoying yourself.

While there's still time to change my mind, I sincerely doubt that it'll happen.  I just don't have the free time to play that I used to.

Good luck, Rez.

On a side note, I'm not sure what the big deal is with being at a high level. Now that Kiska is gone, Zil, Koryn and Lindele are some of the highest levels in the guild. And Zil has offered to help us with instances and quests and Koryn and Lindele have offered to help other people in the same way.

Your level should not really impede one's participating with one's guild. That's just my thoughts.

Best of luck to you, Rez, as you're looking for another guild and such.  Perhaps we'll meet up again on a BRS run or somesuch.

EDIT: because I am a dumbass....
