This is the Abenobashi Mahou Shotengai OST CD domestic release, which I don't think is any different from the Japanese release, except for the translated director's/musician's comments inside.
I bought this CD because I couldn't get the opening theme to this show out of my head. Unfortunately, the only themes included here are TV size. Other than that, the tracks are a good length.
The composer is Shiro Sagisu. I'm too lazy right now to look up his other works, but I beleive that he's done work on EVA.
Frankly, I thought that this was an OK CD. It's nothing to rush out and buy right away, especially not at $20.00. I liked many of the tracks quite a bit. The only track I didn't like too much was "Unite! Abenobashi*The Galaxy Shopping Arcade." It's quite definitely a direct rip-off of the Star Wars theme. Almost all that is changed is the rhythm. Yeah, I know it's supposed to be a parody, but they could at least be a *little* original.
Yes, almost all of the tracks have "Abenobashi Shopping Arcade" stapled onto the end of the title.
On the whole, I liked this CD, but it isn't wonderful.
