If someone suggests to you you need to watch Kappa no Kaikata, attack them immidiately since they are your enemy. This is an attempt to make you squander some of the limited time you have on earth, as well as assailing you with gross stupidity.
Krappa (and it is Krap, let me tell you) no Kaikata is perhaps the single most stupid combination of concept and execution I have ever seen. It makes Dog Soldier and Bounty Dog seem like high art. Or Trigun and Cowboy Bebop.
I think it's supposed to be a comedy. It's difficult to say since it's not funny. At all. The concept seems to involve raising kappa (Japanese water sprites) that look like a cross between a turtle and duck, drawn by a three year old with a broken hand. It takes place in a modern city environment where you can purchase kappa at a local pet store and buy manuals to raise them.
The human protagonist is not only nameless, but faceless as well. I'm sure the creator claims this is something deeply symbolic. Most likely he was too lazy to draw a face. There's no effort in this at all.
The first five minute episode revolves around our nameless protagonist buying his kappa and learning their shit stinks. In fact, we are treated to actually seeing the kappa defecate a huge amount of smelly crap.
It's crapping! It's funny! Laugh, damnit!
Believing the whole series couldn't possibly be as horrible as the first bit, I watched a second episode. Here we learn kappa can become juvinile delinquents, shake down other kappa for money, and knock over garbage cans if you don't raise them right.
The laughs never end! Now laugh, damn you! Laugh loud and hard!
You know what the redeeming thing about this is? Each lump of shit is only five minutes or so long, which is about six minutes too long.
Basically this piece suffers from three design flaws:
1) Someone thought this would be a good idea when he came up with it.
2) Someone else thought animating it would be a good idea.
3) Someone else thought translating it would be a good idea.
People have a right to do stupid things. This is also a compelling argument as to why the rest of us should be allowed to beat people for doing stupid things. I know i'd have a couple of metal bats ready to work over these clowns who did this to me.
In summation, this is the worst thing I have ever seen. 1 out of 10, and that's only because the scale doesn't go below one.
The worst you've ever seen? I seem to recall an IRC chat a while back where you listed a lot of horrible anime. (Though mercifully I can't remember any individual titles.) And this is worse than all of those.
