Goal here is to link some game once...a day.
If you stumble across something fun on the internet...link it. =)
Starting us off...
Dad n' Me (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/254456)
A cute side scrolling 2d brawler. Last boss is a bit tweaked.

These are supposed to be pretty good. Been too lazy to install their plugin so far myself.

Popcap's Psychobabble is an excellent, excellent game, which I need to go back to. Haven't played any of the others.
The Charred Dirt (http://www.charreddirt.com) project is something that I was breifly involved in earlier in its life, but it seems to have stalled now, and I haven't played in forever. Check it out anyway, though, it's extremely awesome as an updated version of Scorched Earth.
http://www.familysweeps.net/pacman.html : Pacman.
Dracos
http://www.virtualapple.com/ : Oregon Trail.
The original Carmen Sandiago.
Etc.
Dracos
Remakes of King's Quest? (http://www.agdinteractive.com/)
Good momentary amusement.
Dracos
http://invalidtangrambeta.artshost.com/
Invalid Tangram: The bastard child of space invaders and columns.
Features some of the best bleeps and blurps bashed into music you'll find ever.
I WAS PLAYING IT BEFORE ALEX NAMED HIMSELF AFTER IT
Invalid Tangram is pretty awesome. I should review it =)
Dracos
I keep losing around the 400 blocks mark.
I've gotten to stage 27, high score of 971525 before I figured I should stop for the moment. >_>;
400? Not bad. I got to level 48 or 50 or some such before my eyes started tearing. It's a fun challenge. Sort of like the SNES tetris block type games mixed with a shooter.

Not as good as the earlier ones.

Ooh, this thread. I actually haven't ever been over on this part of the forum before. :)
Heh, welcome then. =)
I'm trying to build this part up further.

Fun, free, MMORPG. I play it. I like it. I haven't seen it linked here.
Warning Forever (http://www18.big.or.jp/~hikoza/Prod/)
So this here is a pretty simple freeware game. It's a good old fashioned 2-d space shootemup, with two little twists. The first is that there are no levels or powerups. You only have one gun, the only controls are for your movement, movement speed and direction you fire in, and all you do is fight one boss over and over again until you run out of time (dying carries a hefty time penalty).
The second twist is that the boss "evolves" intelligently each time you beat it, growing tougher in ways tailored to beat your particular playing style. You like to fly behind it and shoot backwards? It'll start rotating. You like to go straight for the core? It'll grow armor. You like to blow up all its arms? It'll come back with more of them. You get killed by one of its weapons? Guess what weapon it'll grow twenty of next round. A lot of games advertise "intelligent adaptation" like this, but I've yet to see any game noticeably pull it off except this one.
Throw in a customizeable scoring system, replays and an amusing lil system that gives each boss a unique name and you've got quite the nifty package.

Now YOU can become a certified professional psychiatrist to some of the most misunderstood and abused individuals: plushies.
This is game is entertaining, in a trying-to-figure-out-how-to-cure-the-neurotic-sheep-before-it-kills-itself sort of way. It will engross for a long while.

This is really neat. Flash run bubble bobble 2.
Oh the nolstalgia =D

Not a game site, but the gallery allows you to make jigsaw puzzles from the images. I went looking for a Sailor Moon image and three hours later I;m still there.
At Merc's urging, here's a little time-waster...

You fly your ship through a wormhole and can't touch the walls while the path keeps curving. Simple but fun for a little while ^_^
Gah to sudden sharp angle moves. =)

Should probably post stuff here...
Grid Wars (http://www.incitti.com/Blitz/) - Hey, look! It's Geometry Wars, the best reason to have an Xbox 360! Except ported to PC, free and regularly updated as the guy keeps working on it!
Zeux World (http://zara.verge-rpg.com/games.htm) - A Marioesque platformer. Nice creative levels, lots of secrets, quirky graphics and music, and a few pain-inducing design choices and bugs. Actual gameplay isn't very hard... once you get used to how things work. Worth a look if you like platformers.
*grabs gridwars to try* Mmm, mario brothers clone? Has dune beaten that yet?
Not a game, but found a site where they listed what they considered to be 101 best free games on the 'net, from various genre... has stuff like Cave Story, Dad 'n Me and Nanaca Crash on it, so there might be some games that're good ^_^
Some of those links are dead though ^_^;

As for an actual game recommendation:
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/298925
You're Chuck Norris battling an onslaught of infinite (might be, might not be, I didn't stick with the game long enough to find out) ninjas. You can punch or jump kick them to death, or rip their hearts out and eat it for health, and jump and stomp on the corpse's head, making the brain pop out, and then use it like a football to kick at oncoming ninjas ^_^
The game mechanics and the game itself is pretty crappy, but I'm a gore fan and eating ninja hearts amuses me enough to let me rack up some 260+ ninja kills, so there ^_^
Probably should insert gore warning though, for the heart ripping and brain popping ^_^
Weird how the simple games are often the most addicting ones ^_^
http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/300760
I couldn't make it past stage 15, unsteady hand plus crappy optical mouse. Maybe I have Parkinson's ^_^
Fancy Pants Adventures, a Mario-style platformer done with stick figures ^_^
There's only three levels plus one boss so it's a short game, but I like it ^_^
Fancy Pants can do BACKFLIPS! ^_^

Edit: Forgot the link ^_^;

So, Hellbound is this game brian poked me on. Just played a bit so far but its a brutal shooter. Gives you about ten lives or so, but fills the screen up with gunpower. Sorta fun, though I dunno if its to my pacing.
Anyhow, anyone who wants it, poke me. Don't have an acceptable link for it at the moment.

Passed around 5000 myself before stopping. But that was only a few seconds.

Thread deserves a revival. :)
Winterbells. (http://www.ferryhalim.com/orisinal/g3/bells.htm)
Amazing addictive little flash game, starring a BUNNY.
The music is pretty freaking awesome, too.
Check out all of Orisinal's games. Most of them are winners.
Should have linked to this sooner, but it slipped my mind in the holiday rush.
Mission in Snowdriftland! (http://www.mission-in-snowdriftland.com/)
Nintendo's Advent Calender for December '06. Each day is a different level, and beating each stage rewards you with different rewards. Just silly things like mp3s, wallpapers, icons, etc.
Beating all stages gives you a boss stage, with some a decent sized .zip as a reward.
Sadly, it's only up til the 14th, so play it while you can. :/
The golf game was awesome. I finally got a high score of 12059!
Now my fingers hurt...
http://www.eastoftheweb.com/games/DefineTime1.html
A fun, if rather maddening, game where you try to match definitions (sometimes secondary ones) to a word.
This is a fun game where you flip cards into a hat:
http://www.cardtoss.com/
I got 35280 and almost to level four.
These are also interesting:

Neat spider man type flash distraction.

That's pretty awesome. Took me a couple tries to get to where it entirely loops.

Million and one posts to make...
Ra-chan made one of her rare stops at the plushie's channel and linked a really painful to watch Super Mario Bros mod (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6204903272262158881).
Apparently being a masochist, I hunted for the mod to see how I'd do. Found a megaupload link (http://www.megaupload.com/de/?d=SC53X3YN)[/url] with the game. Lets just say I didn't do so hot and leave it at that.
For those that want to try their own hand at the painful game, file you want in the zip is "Super Mario Forever Clean Patch.nes". Maybe you want to challenge yourself or something. Who knows? =p
I've seen that and played it. From what I gather it was meant to be a group internal romhack to time challenge and fiddle with. It's not meant to be played by all of us. That said, it's beatable but you have to know how to abuse the SMB engine.
There's a speedrun of it floating on the TAS archive(I don't know if it's been approved or not) and you could probably use a gamegenie code to get the end if you like. It goes through world 1-4 with a super Bowser fight at the end. This is well worth seeing if you can brave the rest(World 1-3's easy and 1-4's not hard compared to the first two levels).

Ants, Ants, Missile Launchers.
I'm pretty sure someone gave me this originally. Been on an every extend kick today: http://www.download.com/3000-2099-10347823.html
It is a game about exploding and causing chains. Very simple, very short.
My current top score is 1,107,020 on heavy. Could've gotten higher but got a handful of unlucky landings right at the end that ate my time score.

PIXELSHIPS. (http://www.pixelships.com/pxs_details.html)
It's like Gradius+Pokemon. Fun as hell.
http://www.armorgames.com/games/portaltheflashversion_game.html
For those too cheap to buy the 3d version.
This is by far the strongest argument I have ever seen for the sorts of aggressive NDA IP keeping that companies do.

Grow island
Oh hell, a new Grow? I'm totally there.
This has two endings.
I actually find the correct one more illogical. Though i suppose it fits grow logic style.

Gah, this one is hard.
Yeah. =)

Feels like, at a few minutes of play, a pretty decisively average danmaku game that spawned off of 2chan if I know the art theming at all. The characters are probably all references, but I don't know them.
http://www.freewebarcade.com/game/the-last-stand/ The last stand. A bit too easy and with switching weapons not being very useful in a pinch (You can't abort a reload to fire your backup weapon), but overall, a very nice way to spend 20 minutes.
Deathworm: This is totally superfantastic. Not even going to review it. Just play it right now.
http://gmc.yoyogames.com/?showtopic=279075 : Its thread

Okay, I'll say something. It is a game where you play a giant monster worm. And folks try to kill you. It starts with casual guys on camels and ends with world war 3.
I think. I've only gotten about 1200 points in. The game keeps getting more intense and I'm certain it can bring more into the death mix.
Got 1500 in, think I'm hitting the end of its content (Sadness), but an awesome ride nonetheless.

Karlinn's pick of the day.
http://www.nekogames.jp/mt/2008/01/cursor10.html
Bloody fantastic. Take a look.
Finally figured out how to get the controls working on Cresent Pale Mist, a kind of 2d in 3d environment action platformer with giant bosses and flying about sword fighting magic casting action. Pretty neat.
http://forum.digitalpanic.net/index.php?sh...=8791&st=20 There's a torrent for it in this thread. I haven't really noticed much bullethellnish. You don't exactly weave when a wave of shots are fired your way. You'll want to go into options and set up some controls that actually work unless you have a real numpad.
Oh yeah, you'll want japanese fonts/applocale to get this going.
http://www.forumwarz.com/ : Here's a fun rpg I found thanks to Penny Arcade's own forums. You play a newbie to the whole ''internet'' thing, and gain the power to crush forums thanks to a mysterious stranger. You can choose from Emo Kid, Camwhore, and Troll classes to help you crush the forums faster while taking missions from wapanese and Anon for cash.
http://www.kongregate.com/games/Reflexive/music-catch This is a fantastic way to spend 4 minutes.
Abobo's Big Adventure (http://abobosbigadventure.com/fullgame.php). It's pretty nostalgic to see so many NES era characters/references, and I laughed in some parts, though I also thought quite a bit was nasty. Drac may not like it because Kirby is the second to last boss! >_>
I do recall Drac once said he wished there were more flash games linked though, so he'll just have to stomach through it and kill Kirby. ^_~
heh, I played it for a while and stopped in the balloon world. Thought I linked it in chat, but didn't link it here so good show.
Weird complaint: The segments really are just a bit too long. Interesting, though.
I'll give it another shot when I have more significant time to devote to it.
Wow, they really crammed in the nostalgia, along with copious amounts of gore.
It's very classic NewGrounds. Whatever cleverness it has must include both blood and dick jokes. Even step outs like Castle Crashers do it.
