Title: Uncle Figgy's Guide to Good Roleplaying

Uncle Figgy has also written a fairly basic guide to improve yourself as a role player.  Chapter 3 of this guide is by far the best of his player works, but the rest are worthwhile reading as well.

Am the only one who is rubbed very badly by this Uncle Figgy?  Something about his tone and such just burns me up.

I wasn't particularly.  He does come from a high-faultin' tone but I agreed with a fair bit of what he said.

Anyone else have an opinion regarding this?  These articles aren't merely tossed out here just to glance over.  Your thoughts on them could help others or bring interesting stuff to light.

Hmm. He did sound a little condescending..

I find this guide to be pretty well written, though. While I can say I knew of most of the stuff written, he told me a couple good things I havn't thought of.

His GMing guide is also quite good, I must say.

It is kinda condescending, but it doesn't rub me the wrong way.  I can deal with that kind of thing if the person knows what they're talking about; and he does seem to.  So what the hey.

At any rate, he did have a few good pointers.

Still, I get the feeling that he thinks he's talking to 2 year old retarded bitches that couldn't RP there way out of a bar.

Or maybe I'm just touchy about it for some reason.

Hum...

You'd be surprised at the amount of folks though who 'want to be rp'ers' and couldn't rp their way out of a bar...  or anything for that matter.

I've seen it before many a time.
