If you're actually interesting in the caravan gear, it's mostly just trading junk- you could probably take a bottle of wine, some fabrics, and some hashish, if you wanted. Most of the gear is labelled under some merchant company, though, so it probably still belongs to someone, legally.
BANDITS! Most of their equipment is servicable, but somewhat worn- you probably won't get much for most of it, excepting maybe the horses.
