Just figured we might as well have one for the little stuff, instead of having to start new threads each time.
Anyway, from what I can see, we can either return to Saradush after a couple of days resupplying and doing whatever in Darromar, or we could send a courrier back to Saradush with our info and to collect our pay. To me, going back might be nice since I have a few loose ends in that city, but Darromar offers a few opportunities as well which I'm not sure I want to put on hold.
Basically, I'm more curious than anything what you guys think.
I also have loose ends in Saradush, but Darromar seems like a much more exciting town to hang around in...
I guess if we really want to throw ourselves into the 'fucked up Weave' quest then we should hit up the Temple of Mystra, which may neccessitate sticking around Darromar for a bit.
But do we really want to do that and risk fighting more spear-wielding cultists?
If nothing else, I wouldn't mind doing one or two small quests around Darromar to earn money which can be used to resupply for the trip back to Saradush. That battle at the oasis bled me dry of potions and I have little cash.
One of those solo things Rat wants to do with us involves me and the temple of Mystra. They apparently want those they'd work with to take down that rogue invoker, which should pay nicely. If enough of us feel up to it and we send that courrier, then the money from both of those should put us firmly back in the black.
From my understanding, the Mystrans want to hire capable people to do the reverse of the Weave-rending ritual to seal those rips, and are willing to pay quite nicely for this. And they hate Sharrans, so they'd probably help on that front if we need it.
Of course, with work and different timezones it's hard to coordinate. Hence this thread. ^^
I'm down with sticking around for a bit longer. Killing that invoker sounds like fun for profit, and the Redcloak Bandits contract seems doable for us as well.
Taking on the Weave job with the Mystrans... I'm not entirely opposed to it. If everyone else is cool with it, I wouldn't mind taking the job. But after the fun at that oasis, payment better be good!
Also, would Maz be interested in trading an Identify spell for Thrall's bracers of suck (or +1 AC, whichever)? I don't have the cash for one, and I'd like to identify that magic Falchion and see if selling/exchanging it would get me a magic greataxe.
Sure, though you might be better served by taking a loan from the temple of Waukeen or just selling the bracers. And if Thrall doesn't feel like doing the bartering thing, Maz could do it for him, since she's got stuff to pick up anyway.
Well, I doubt I'd get a decent price on the bracers unless they were identified, and I don't want to take a loan. However, Maz can have both the bracers and the falchion to do with what she pleases if she can score a magic greataxe by means fair or foul! (bartering isn't really Thrall's forte)
The bracers really are bracers of suck, it turns out. But the falcion (+1) sold for 1k. Not enough to get a magical axe yet, I'm afraid.
In any case, Maz would be happy to break even over the two identify spells and return 800 gold to Thrall, if that's acceptable.
Wait, you mean the bracers don't do anything at all? That's just fucked up.
Oh, well. No choice but to take the hit and put 800 gold towards my magic weapon fund. Dammit.
