I like this book. It has lots of options in it I want to play with when creating NPCs to fight, and I think it has loads of cool stuff for you guys to use, too. I particularly like the new spells, and you can bet you're going to see a few of them in action as we go along.
The question is, what about the rest of it? Well, I think it's mostly balanced if I allow everything there.. it ups the overall power of any given campaign, so you'd get more hardcore, but so would the people you fight.
Given that I'm opening it for batting halfway through the game, I'd probably work in some scenario where you can retrain yourselves if I were to allow it- trade in a feat here and there, essentially.
What do you guys think? I'd like to allow it, but it might not be for everyone.
There's no issue for retraining for me, at least, since the first alternate feat for a Fighter is at level 6.
Anyway, I'm down with using this book. The new feats are overpowered, but also nifty enough that I'll probably skip a prestige class (which also tend to be frequently overpowered) to grab a bunch of them.
Just so long as Dusk Blades do not exist. Ever.
But Rat's Dusk Blalde Army looks so cool! =D And he spent so long fashioning out it's leader...
Dracos
The interruptor
I'll have to look at the book first, but more than likely I'd say I'll probably not care if we do switch.
Duskblades make sucky villians, though. They lack flaws. As for the book, I guess it's in.
Gimmick of the week ahoy~
