Merc;

Cloak and Vest wouldn't stack anyway.  They're both resistance type bonuses.  They sum to +1.

Drac, I know. Rez already poked about that and I noticed they were both resistance bonuses. I just haven't had a chance to edit my post. I'm replacing it with a horse and a few other miscellenia, as well as editing skills a little bit.

Fair enough, I didn't, and thus opened this thread for general commentary on such things.

Oh yeah...

I suggest, on your sheets, you decide what things are yours and what are family heirlooms or otherwise and mark such other things appropriately.  No I won't punish you for these (far from it), but I don't want to have to guess.

You may not start with legacy weapons.  Even you rat.  Your own blade may be legend (and IS) but legacy weapons will play into the story.

I suggest including at the bottom of your sheets build ideas and items you're interested in.  I obviously have some in mind for everyone but I'll work such into the campaign if I know =)

Since you asked for me to toss the comment here and not just the chatroom: Rat's not starting with the legacy weapon for himself. He's essentially got it in his care, and if he finds me worthy by level 5 when I can make use of it (or I suppose earlier? I dunno), present it to me. Something like that is what he was saying.

That's a fair thought.

Though I was going to be rewriting the legacy weapons.

I'll rewrite that one and toss it up soon.  It'll be compressed in respect to the notion I'm not really intending a 20 level game.

But I -totally- want those wings! :O

You know, if you just -have- to have wings, there is a race that has them, the Raptorans, from the book of Races of the Wild.

Plus then you don't have to wait until you're level 17 or so (don't recall exactly when FS gets them)! ;p

But the favoured soul way is so much more fun!

Besides, I know wings and platemail don't mix anyway.

Hrm... you know, I'm curious. If a Raptoran becomes a favored soul, what does he get at level 17? An extra pair of wings?

Alternately, there are items that cause such effects.

And blessings and such.
