So! You've got a spiffy concept, people are interested, and you're ready to start your game! All you need now is a forum, right?
Easily done. Just grab a board admin (myself most likely, Dracos, or the Pink One if you can find him) and let them know. There are a few things we'll need ready from you when you're ready to get things going, however.
- Game name. This will be the main listing that everyone sees on the board.
- Game description. The tagline that appears below the game's name.
- Forums - Do you need both IC and OOC forums, or just one?
- Private posting only for your OOC forum, or open for public discussion?
- Name and description for each forum, as for the game itself.
- A usergroup name (more optional, as this isn't seen too often and can be picked out by a creative/sadistic admin at their discretion).
- IRC channel name for Postbot announces (optional).
You'll be set up as the moderator of the forums, along with our Gamemasters team and the ever-present Global Moderators.
To add players to your game, simply click on the "Usergroups" link up there at the top of the board and pick your new usergroup's name out of the "Current Memberships" box. You'll be the moderator of that group, and you can just add or remove your players at your own leisure - it's a very straightforward process.
And that's it! Just, again, let an admin know when your game has concluded so we can clean it up and archive it with our other old games - and that's all you need to enjoy running your game here on Soulriders!
