Title: Which Shounen character am I?
Post by: Carthrat on November 18, 2006, 11:17:53 AM
By popular demand...

->Let's face it, I'm the manliest guy on the boards. Therefore, it is only fitting to compare me to other paragons of manhood. What genre is better than the shounen anime/manga genre, renowned for it's flashy attack animations, and series upon series where nobody actually dies?

Cast your opinions and slake my ego; the character with the most votes will become my NEW AVATAR. Epic, eh?

Chu-chu comes from a series that features non-stop, drawn-out battle sequences, characters that never die, and lesbians.  Other than the fact that its cast is entirely made up of pretty princesses, it is indistinguishable from shounen -- and do you really think Rat rates something other than a character from a pretty princess shounen-wannabe?

I don't, so ner ner ner. This more goes to show what Bjorn's concept of a manly paragon is, demonstrating his upside-down view of the world.

If you're supposed to be a manly paragon, then I foresee a lot of people switching to my upside-down perspective.

My new suggestion, though, since you're going to be picky: Kamesennin.

QuoteMiyamoto Musashi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miyamoto_Musashi) (宮本 武蔵, c. 1584-June 13 (Japanese calendar May 19), 1645), prior to adulthood known simply as Takezo Shinmen, as Miyamoto Bennosuke or Miyamoto Musana, was a famous Japanese (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japan) swordsman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenjutsu). He is believed to have been one of the most skilled swordsmen in history. Musashi, as he is often simply known, became legendary through his outstanding swordsmanship in numerous duels, even from a very young age. He is the founder of the Hyoho Niten Ichi-ryu (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyoho_Niten_Ichi-ryu), or Niten Ryu style of swordsmanship and wrote Go Rin No Sho (五輪書 The Book of Five Rings (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Book_of_Five_Rings)), a book on strategy, tactics, and philosophy that is still studied today
