Ultros kicks ass.

Just because he's so obnoxious.

That one scene was one of my favorites in the game, for one main reason.  When Locke (El Thiefboy) declares his badly acted intention to rescue the fair damsel, etc, the Impresiaro (sp?) says something IIRC like "What a terrible actor! Oh well, might as well run with it! Maestro, if you please!"

Then the drums start up, with other instruments kicking in soon after.  When that happened the first time I played (quite a number of years ago), dang, that was cool.

Ultros is probably the coolest character in the game - I just wish I could figure out how exactly he managed to attack the airship, since he clearly was floating in midair.

But, ah, that's show biz!

Or the game biz, as the case may be.

He's Ultros.  If you were in a closed air capsule and shot off to the moon, he'd find a way O_O.

He's just cool like that.

Wow... Final Fantasy 3.  I haven't played that in... well, THAT long.  Never did finish the dang thing either.

Of course, I almost never finish ANY of my games it seems.

*goes back to playing Kingdom Hearts... AGAIN*

You have the same problem I have.  I can't finish most of the RPGs I get except for the good ones(FF7...hehe).  I used to finish them more when I was a kid and had more time to play them(Dragon Warrior days...oh what a memory).
This kinda reminds of the time I beat rampage for NES.  I did all that destroying and I got at the end was a shitty ass Congratulations...what no cool ending like TMNT???  What a rip off...

One time I was playing D&D. We were in a dungeon searching for some mythical treasure of great power. We went through all kinds of trouble and in the end I believe the item was

"Klondike's Magical Pea Shooter"

Yeah, it was powerful. It never missed and had some interesting enchantments laid on it. But accuracy  doesn't really help when you're using a pea shooter against a goblin or a dragon (or anything else for that matter).

Considering we lost a member of our party and used up a lot of money, spell components, and lost a couple of valuable items I don't think it was quite worth it.

Let's just say the DM (my Dad who thought it was funny as hell) got some serious payback...

That's hillarious.  Fitting name too.  "What would you do for a Klondike bar?"  Though it was probably rather annoying for you as a player, too many of us get used to, if not monty hall games, games were the loot is worth what we went through to get it.  It's always nasty when it happens, but then, it does add a touch of realism to the game when you get crap loot occassionally.  That's really almost more amusing than the toothpick of kaz jest I've been walking around with for about the last year.  ^_^
