It was with neither a deafening thunder, nor a great roar, that the young man appeared out of the ally. It was a nice ally, as far as ally go. It had a couple of brick walls on both sides and some garbage spewed around, as well as a family of rats toward one side. But the ally wasn't what was important, it was the young man who held that honor.
Tomas ran his fingers through his ebony hair as his green eyes took in the city before him. Here he was again, somewhere new, somewhere that he wasn't known, somewhere he was probably gonna get into a lot of trouble. But then, that was the fun part. Normally, anyway. Sometimes it wasn't all that fun. But that world had been left behind, so he stopped worrying about it.
As he stepped out of the ally, he let his eyes gaze at all of the white buildings that surrounded him. The sun reflected back to his eyes in a glaring manner, causing him to squint slightly. His nose could catch the faint traces of the sea as a cool breeze blew through the air. It was a smell that brought him back to a few times in his childhood when he went with his family to the ocean. Despite his efforts, Tomas failed to keep the smile from his lips.
"So," he wondered out loud, "what's gonna happen this time? And where the hell am I, anyway?"

With a soft whoosh, Shi stepped into the world. Hm. He'd been wandering some far places, and felt something he wanted to check on. Stepping out of the ally in which he appeared, he glanced around. His red coat swirled around his legs as he moved with unnatural grace. He liked wandering, but he'd felt someone familiar enter this plane from his location a few over.
He could feel a nice breeze blowing gently through his midnight hair. More, it was a sea breeze, very pleasent for the young man to feel. The last world had been rather hot. He started walking between the white buildings that surrounded him, stopping when he heard a voice. A soft smirk appeared.
"So, what's gonna happen this time? And where the hell am I, anyway?"
Shaking his head ruefully, since he'd been right about who he'd felt Gate in, gave a reply. "Well, I don't know where we are, but nothing good can happen, I'll say that."
A bright light flashed on the other side of the ally, and Ryder was tossed from seemingly nowhere, to which he slammed into the brick wall.
"Ingrates... I give them ratings and they throw me through an interdimentional porthole. So what if I asked for a fee every time my name was mentioned?" Ryder muttered as the spots disappeared from his eyes.
Taking in his strange surroundings while standing up and clearing his head, he saw two people on the other side. In another place, another world, he would have recognized Shi and Tomas instantly. Instead, he only felt a sence of deja vu as he walked towards the pair...
"Where am I now?" Ryder said to the Aspect pair...
Blinking and rubbing vainly at his eyes after the flash, Shi turned to the newcomer. Damnit, that hadn't been fun on the vision at all.
"Where am I now?"
He stopped rubbing and put his arms down. "Why do people keep asking me that?" He ran a hand through his hair, almost knocking his headphones off. "I dunno. I don't recognize this plane offhand, but that doesn't mean much. Who the hell are you?"
Tomas didn't quiet get a chance to greet Shi do to the interruption of some idiot slamming into a brick wall. In Tomas's opinion, some people really should have the ability to teleport, and this was a prime example. As Tomas ignored Shi for a moment he worked to come up with a way to use this. The idea didn't take long to come.
Taking a a step toward Ryder, Tomas shrugged. "No idea where we are. How about you ask?" So saying, Tomas stepped around Ryder and shoved him out of the ally and into the semi-crowded square.
"So," Tomas turned to face his cousin, "How ya been Shi? I haven't seen you since that last planet we destroyed. What was it, so kind of BGC universe? Not that it matters, given it isn't there anymore. So, what have you been up to lately?"

Shi shrugged. He hadn't done anything of importance. "Not much. Taking a bit of a break." He tapped an earring he was wearing softly. "I've got a limiter right now. I'm on holiday. So, how about you?"
"Me?" Tomas gave a shrug. "Well, after Bell seemed to just dump me, I went God and Demon hunting. It was pretty fun actually." Tomas smiled in the memories. "I met a couple of cool demon hunters while I was there. One guy, Dante, knew a way to keep his guns from ever running out of ammo, so I managed to get that trick out of him." Then he shrugged. "Besides that, though, nothing much. You'd be surprised how many girls are turned off by a guy who kills gods for fun, ya know?"

Shi leveled a flat stare at his cousin. This from the guy with annoyingly good looks, who flirted with a goddess and it WORKED. Gah. Sometimes, he wondered how they were related. He leaned back against a wall and thought for a second.
"They're more turned off by someone who kills everything. Trust me." Brushing aside his somber mood, he straightened and walked out of the ally, motioning his cousin to follow. "Care to take a look around? This world seems nice. I like this ocean wind... peaceful..."

"But..." Tomas stuttered slightly as he led Shi out of the ally, "I wasn't killing everything. I was only killing gods and demons." Tomas ignored the people who turned to look at the pair as he continued on. "I mean, its not like it was that big a deal or something. There are a lot of redundant gods, ya know? Its like there were 4 or 5 of them for every single thing. The universe didn't need so many."

Shi sighed. "I meant me, not you." Really. His cousin could be so dense. Everything was always about him, too. Aw, well. You can't pick your family.
He looked around the crowd of people they'd stumbled into. They really didn't fit right in. There was a variety of styles that was interesting, though, and prevented them from standing out TO much. Must be a port town or something, with all this sea breeze.
"So, what do you want to do? We can't really stand here all day."
Tomas turned his head to look at Shi. He didn't pay any attention to the crowd. It wasn't like they could do something about it. However, Shi's comment made him blink. "Well, I supposse we could go blow stuff up, like normal. But that's well...normal."
He turned his attention then to the buildings. "But, ya know...this place looks sorta familiar. Maybe Kaos showed us a picture of the place before? Or Ace, maybe?" Yeah, the buildings did look kind of familiar. And so did some of the styles of dress. It was a weird feeling Tomas got, but really, he wasn't sure why he had it. "How about we do something strange? Like ask directions or something."

Shi nodded. That sounded like something they didn't normally do. family reunions usually consisted of 'Hello!' *BOOM*. But he was on vacation. And it sounded amusing.
"Alright." He walked over to a young man walking by and stopped him. "Pardon... where's the nearest... um.. inn? Or perhaps a tavern."
The man blinked at Shi. There appeared to be something odd about his eyes. "Fryd? E cunno, E lyh'd ihtancdyht oui."
That was odd. He hadn't expected someone to speak another language than Common. However... it sounded... familar. "Err... yes.. umm..." He tried to remember something... didn't he know this tongue? "E cyet... err, byntuh, lyh oui tenald ic du yh ehh un dyjanh?"
The man smiled. "Oui cbayg Al Bhed? Yr, dra ehh ec tufh dryd fyo. Drana ec y pyn haynpo." He nodded politely and walked off.
Shi turned back to Tomas. That had been strange. He still didn't recall where they were, but he must have come here before. "He said the inn was that way, and there's a bar nearby." Shi nodded in the direction the man had indicated.
Tomas blinked as Shi and the man spoke to each other in some strange tongue. He couldn't follow it, but started to choose to do something about that. Finally, Shi turned back to him. "He said the inn was that way, and there's a bar nearby." Shi nodded in the direction the man had indicated.
"Okay, great, hang on a minute, okay." With that Tomas took off after the man, loosing Shi in the crowd. A few moments later the man who had spoken to Shi was seen flying through the air and over the buildings into the breeze. A sceam trailled after the man as he began his decent.
A few seconds later Tomas was beside Shi again. "There, I convinced him to take up a second language, English. Now, lets hit that bar, okay? Where was it again?"

Shi paused, a bit offguard. He blurred suddenly, then his image cleared. "Right, he said it was this way." Shi started stalking off down a walkway towards the bar. This might be fun. He couldn't really get drunk, but that wasn't a worry. Losing control wasn't a fun time in his book anyway.
Elsewhere, a very confused man wondered what had caused him to fly, and what had saved him from going splat.
After a few minutes of walking, they arrived at the bar. Opening the door, Shi went inside and looked around. Yep. Bar. Now.. where to sit?
As they walked into the bar, Tomas frowned. "Damn...this place is crowded. That sucks." And crowded it was. It seemed that there were two people for ever chair. If not three people. And that didn't suit Tomas at all. He perferred his own seat. And he had the power to take a seat for himself.
Pushing his way through the crowd, Tomas made his way to the bar, dragging Shi behind him. Upon reaching the bar, Tomas turned two guys who had been sitting peacefully around in their seats and gazed down at them. His eyes spoke of pain, suffering, and death even as his voice stayed quiet and cool. "You two are just dying to give up your seats to some weary travelers, aren't you?"
The two men didn't even look at each other. They just nodded fearfully and quickly made way for the door. Relaxing himself again, Tomas took one seat and nodded to Shi. "Sit and relax, cousin mine." His voice was again light hearted and almost...bouncy.
Shi was tempted to be ashamed, but why bother? It wasn't his style, anyway. He dropped down into the seat. Looking around, he noted it was oddly crowded. 'Hm. I wonder why...'
He waved the bartender over and asked for something cold and wet. Perhaps with fruit. He liked fruit. He gave his cousin a sideways glance. Tomas seemed cheerful enough. Perhaps the fun of a new place? Or was it scaring those two men? Hmph.
Tilting his head, he listend to the conversations around him. They seemed mostly to be either sports or religion, as far as he could tell. Talking about blitz scores (what was blitzball?) and odd discussions about sin that really didn't make sense.
"Hm. Cousin, does this world seem like one we know? If we could remember, if might give us an idea on what to do next."

Tomas turned to look at Shi. He'd ordered something hard. He wasn't sure what he got, but if it turned out to be a birck, people were going to die. Of course, that would probably cheer Shi up a bit.
"I get impressions from things, but I don't think I've been here." Tomas frowned and turned his gaze to the bartender who was returning with their drinks. "Hey, 'scuse me, but can you tell me what the name of this place is? I kind of got lost."
The bartender gave Tomas a look that pretty much proclaimed his stupidity to the world. "Where are you from?"
Tomas shrugged in response. "Originally or most recently?

As he smirked Tomas replied, "Asgard."
The bartender blinked.
Shi waved to the bartended lazily. "Nevermind him. Listen, what do you call.. well, the world?" He knew it was an odd question, but it needed to be asked.
"We call it Spira. What else would we call it?"
Shi just waved him off, muttering beneath his breath. "I dunno... Dirt?"
"Spira?" Tomas frowned and his eyes narrowed. "I know I've heard that name before...but where? Damnit, Tomas, think here, think! Where have you heard Spira before?"
His frown deepened as he thought, totally ignoring his drink. "And sin? I know I've heard people talk about sin before. There's seven of them...right, Shi? And they're all suppossed to be deadly, right?"

Shi sat back and thought a little. He didn't think that was what they meant. "Yeah... the Seven Deadly Sins... but..." He listened a bit more to what was going on around him. "They seem to mean... something more than that. Something not immaterial."
"Really?" Toams thought about it for a few minutes as he drank what he'd been given. It wasn't really all that hard, unfortunately, but it woulod have to do.
Still, if this thing they called Sin wasn't just some set of ideas, maybe it'd be a fun fight. naming something after seven deadly ideas had to make it at least sort of impressive. And if it didn't turn out to be impressive, they could just kill the dumb thing and be on their way.
"Okay, lets try to figure out what we know. Fact one, there's something called Sin here. Fact two, the world is called Spira. Fact three, there's some sport here called blitzball. Fact four, at least on portion of the population can't speak english." Tomas looked at Shi and raised an eyebrow. "So, what do you think?"

"Damnit, now I know this is familiar." Shi was unable to recall anything else, however. Wait, something was coming to him. "Wait... summoners... pilgrimage. Nope, that's it."

"Bastards!" yelled Carthrat after the fighter jet speeding away from the line.

Carthrat opened his eyes and stood up, staring straight at a rather small man standing in front of him, who began babbling in some weird langauge.
Carthrat sighed, and flipped a little switch under his cloak.
"-hell do you think you're doing in the middle of my farm!"

Carthrat shook his head. "I'm leaving. Don't bother me."

Dear god, he forgot the translator sometimes did that.. he began fiddling with it under his cloak.
A man-sized black hole appeared a small distance from the table, out of which a young man emerged.
"Yo bro, what's up?" Kwok waved. "Been looking for you. Never found any of our other siblings..."
Without turning around, he sent a small ki-blast towards Tomas as a greeting.
OOC: Cathrat, they're in the middle of a city. There arn't any farms around, which means you are no where near anyone else in the story. ^^; Oh yeah, and no more l33t talk.

There was a lady Tomas was acquainted with who's name was Luck. While she didn't favor him all that often, occasionally she threw something his way. Today seemed to be such a day.
Tomas was not seated at a table. He was seated at the bar. Which, of course, meant that no ki blast was ever sent at him. The poor sap who Kwok had mistaken for Tomas didn't fare so well, however. It appeared that Lady Luck didn't favor him today as he was blasted over the table he and his friends had been at and into a wall.
Tomas, for his part, didn't even notice Kwok's arrival. Instead his concentration was on Shi. "Wait a sec...summoners....I know that term. And...umm...uh...uh...something called...uh...Espers! Yeah, that's what I was thinking of! Summoners summon Espers!"

IC: Meanwhile, a lost and confused Ryder Angel strolled along in the cramped city streets. The colors, the sounds, the language all flooded Ryder's sences as he tried to get this sence of deja vu out of his system...
Noticing the condescending looks thrown his way by the denizins, Ryder turned to a female passerby and asked, "Excuse me, could you tell me where I am?"
With a look of pure hatred in her eyes, the woman replied, "Tasuh! Oui yna hud famlusa rana oui lremt uv Yevon!"
Blinking his eyes to try and make some sence of the language, Ryder replied, "What? No hablo... whatever the hell you're speaking..."
This garnered no verbal responce from the woman... she looked eye to eye with Ryder, her sky blue eyes filled with scorn and briskly walked away.
Ryder sighed a heavy sigh and walked into the building to his right, which he hoped was a bar...
Kwok growled at his shot completely missing Tomas and stomped away from the bar.
... only to collide with someone on the way out the door.
"The hell?" he accused without even looking at who the other guy was. "Watch where're you're walking into!"
"Oro?" Ryder said, while standing up and looking at the man he had bumped into. While there wasn't a name in his memory to place this face to, this guy looked so familiar...
Kwok glared at the man in front of him. "Oro wha-RYDER!!"
He hopped up to his feet and went for an elbow to Ryder's head. As a friendly greeting of course.
"What's up, man?" he grinned.
Ducking the elbow, Ryder rolled backwards and stood up with a look of heavy confusion on his face...
"Do I know you or something? I swear, you look so familiar..." he said while reaching down to pull out his gun, if push came to shove...
"What," Kwok asked, confused. "Don't you recognize me Ryder?"
"No... I've never met you in my whole life. How do you know my name anyway? I just got to this f'd up world..." Ryder said with a tint of irritation in his voice.
The irritation, though, wasn't directed at Kwok, for once. Actually, he was angry at himself for the weird feeling of deja vu he had been experiencing ever since he had met those two people in the ally...
Kwok faked a hurt expression.
"Don't you recognize me, Ryder?" he made his voice sound as sad as he could, crocodile tears threatening to pour out of his eyes. "Don't you even recognize your best friend? I've done all those things for you and you don't even recognize me? You're cruel!"
"I've never met you in my whole life, and you tell me you've done things for me?" Ryder says while ignoring Kwok's pathetic attempt at a sad puppy dog face...
"Listen, I just got here... I don't know anyone on this crazy world, and I'm looking for two guys that I think might be the cause of this nagging deja vu..." Ryder said while moving his hand away from the gun...
Kwok whined.
"But... Ryder-kun..." he said, his lips wobbling as more crocodile tears fell from his eyes. "You said you'd love me forever... and now you said you've never met me..."
"You break my heart, Ryder-kun!" he wailed, covering his face with his hands as he turned away, completely ignoring what Ryder said about the two guys he was looking for.
"I never said that! I don't even know you..." Ryder said while realizing the fact that the people in the bar were all staring at them... Ryder silently prayed to Kasumi-sama that they didn't understand English...

So, after drinking vast quantities of 'the stuff', Carthrat left the tavern and started poking around the little village he was in. Maybe there'd be like, something to do, you know.
Perhaps some almighty mage would challenge him! Or do some rash deeds! Carthrat liked killing almighty mages!
They made a satisfying *squish* sound when they died. And they always made those really long speeches!
So, when he left the village, he spent a few hours wandering around the countryside, just looking for something to do...
And something, quite happily, presented itself.
A tall mountain with a crystalline tower and a storm vortex! It looked COOL! And it looked FUN!
Quite happily ignoring the very dangerous lightning storms, Carthrat walked over towards the tower, and...
Knocked on the door.
"See?" Kwok allowed the crocodile tears to flow even further as he kept his back turned to Ryder, his voice climbing, disregarding the odd stares they were getting from everyone else. "Now you said you don't even know me! And after everything we've been through together!"

"Okay, so if we arn't at this Aeon place, then where are we?" After a few more moments of thought, Tomas shrugged. "Its not like it really matters. This is a city we're in, so something will happen eventually. Either an army will try to take it over, or monsters will invade, or the thing will end up having hover jets and take off, ya know?"

Shi nodded. Yes, that sounded about right. They seemed drawn towards focal points in other people's stories. Shi himself was always drawn into conflict. If he didn't start it, that is. "I meant they summon Aeons, actually. Not important."
Actually, now that he thought of it, since any of those things (or more) were bound to happen, he might as well wait for it. He sipped his drink again. Ahh...
"They summon planets to fight with? Damn, how big is this place, anyway?" That would be an impressive fight to watch, people whacking each other with entire worlds. Hell, even he didn't fight like that.
But then again, you'd think that if someone had that much power, they could make a drink that was truely hard, rather then this thing. An entire mug of it, and he didn't even have the slightest buzz. What a horrid bar.
Shi stared at Tomas. Oh, come on. It was hard to believe how dense he could be sometimes. "No, the planet is called Spira. Aeons are the creatures they summon. Like Espers. Summoning planets... jeez..."
He slipped his headphones forward over his ears. Time for tunes. He did something under his coat, and music filled his ears.
"Oh." Tomas thought about that for a few moments. "Well, if I have to fight a summoner, I'm summoning a planet. That'll teacch them a lesson." And a lesson it probably would teach them, not that they'd live long to remember it, but still...
Ah, hell, he'd probably never even meet one of them. Too bad, too. Resting his elbow on the bar, and then his head on his hand, Tomas wondered just what the hell he was going to do until something at least semi-interesting happened.
Carthrat walked straight into the mage tower... as per usual, the front door was unlocked.
Why was it that so many mages rattled on about privacy, but left their front doors open? Talk about hypocritical... if someones door is open, dosn't that mean they WANT visitors?
So Carthrat climbed the stairs of the mage tower, occasionally blowing away whatever guardian he encoutered, braving his way through flame traps, stepping very carefully through spike traps, and spraypainting the walls with things like "Ultra-Mad Scientist was here! Fear!" and "Magic sucks!"
Eventually, he reached the top of the tower, where...
"Oi! What you doin here?"
The question came from a rather irate-looking old man with a walking stick.
"Eh? YOU'RE THE MAGE?" Carthrat said, bamboozled.
"What wrong with dat? Not my fault I'm only 3" tall!" replied the old man, poking Carthrat with his walking stick. "Watcha gonna do about it, hmm?"
Carthrat shrugged. "You're a mage, right? I hate mages, so I'm gonna kill you. Partly cos your a mage, but you also live in a big, scary looking tower. If that ain't a good indicator..."
It was the old mans turn to blink. "But you aren't the hero!"
"Damn straight. I hate heroes. Goddamed punks wandering the world, trying to make good triumph over evil... bah. The more goodly a world gets, the less it takes to be evil. I mean, I saw someone drop a toothpick once and get hanged for it."
The old man nodded. "Tragic, yes."
"Well, time to die, mage."
The old man cackled. "But only the heroes have a prayer! I'll slaughter you! Run whilst you can, fool!"
Carthrat responded by calmly pulling out a pistol and loading it.
"Summon Cragboy!" shouted the mage.
A rocky-looking 4" tall golem appeared, and lunged towards Carthrat. A gem in it's forehead glowed green.
Carthrat jumped on top of it and fired a shot at the mage.
It hit his walking stick, and as such, the mage fell over.
"Ouch! I'll get yoo for dat, whippersnapper! Get him, Cragboy!"
The golem did some kind of flip, and Carthrat was standing on the ground again. The mage, however, was casting some kind of powerful spell..
As such, the sky above the tower darkened dramatically, and lightning began striking with a 100km radius of the thing, blowing out a few small villages and landing perilously close to a city...
OOC: Shi... we are in the bar! We've been waiting for one of you two to notice...
IC: "Why do you insist that I know you?" Ryder said to Kwok while starting to walk to the bar...
"Because you do!" Kwok continued weeping his fake weep. "Have you forgotten the promise you made to me already? Have you? You heartless bastard!"
Looking at Kwok with his eyes narrowed, his eyes flashed gold and Ryder said, "Get it through your head! I DON'T KNOW YOU!!!"
"You lying bastard!" Kwok cried, his eyes red from all the crocodile tears. Grabbing a cup from the nearby bar, he proceeded to slam it on Ryder's head. "Pay!"
Shi calmly reached over and took the cup away from Kwok. "Get your own, thank you." He paused and sipped more of the fruity concoction.
"By the way, stop causing trouble. I already had to fix the bit where you killed someone."
[ooc - sorry, thought you and ryder were just outside. well, the gang has met.. sorta...]
"SUMMON BAHAMUT!" screamed the old mage, just when Carthrat kicked Cragboy out a conveniantly placed Stained-glass window.
"Oh, don't be an idiot. No WAY a dragon could fit in here," Carthrat replied snidley, pointing his pistol at the mage.
The roof of the tower promptly dissapeared, givng Carthrat full view of the rather large dragon hovering above him.
"...Shit."
He fired a couple of shots at the mage- and promptly hid behind a bookcase when the dragon began slinging around vast amounts of energy.
"Hmm. This has only one solution, I see."
Carthrat, having said this, took off his N-Space cloak and neatly folded it into itself, before sticking what was left into his pocket..
Used the oh-so-conveniant wings on his back to rise into the air..
Took the mage down with one bullet..
And began fleeing from the somewhat irate dragon behind him, whose orders were still "Kill intruder."
This was NOT his day.
In his seat on the other side of Shi, Tomas yawned, still ignoring the fight going on. It didn't seem like it concerned him anyway. Instead he was swirling the last of his drink in his glass and watching the game on the screen.
It wasn't a bad game, all in all. It seemed to Tomas to be some kind of underwater soccar. He wondered exactly how those people managed to hold their breath for so long. If he'd tried that, he'd have died. Well, as close as he could come to dying, anyway.
Finally the halftime of the game happened, and Tomas looked at his glass. With a frown he came to realize something. He was broke.
Reaching over, Tomas tapped Shi on the shoulder. "Hey, cousin, do you got any money on ya? Money that works on this world, I mean."
"Hey, cousin, do you got any money on ya? Money that works on this world, I mean."
Shi look vaguely puzzled. "Money? Oh.. umm.." Well, now, this was embarassing. He hadn't thought to bring any money. Was gold valuable on this world? Oh wait no, he had an idea.
Shi skipped, like movie that was missing a few frames, or a CD player that was shaken. "Right. Yes, yes I DO have money from this world."
With a grin and a smile, Tomas clapped his hands together once. "Wonderful! Then in celebration of this reunion, I'll be kind enough to let you pay for the drinks!"
Relieved that the momentary crisis was averted, Tomas looked past Shi to the two people who were still making a scene. One of them looked rather familiar. It took a moment, but he finally managed to place the voice. "Hey Shi, isn't that Kwok?"
Shi nodded. "Yes, it is. I thought you had noticed." He reached over and smacked Kwok in the back of the head. "See? It's him, I'd know that hollow thump anywhere."
Tomas nodded his head slowly. "Yes, yes...you're right, it IS Kwok. Well, then, how about we leave him with the bill?" That sounded like a good thing to do.
Kwok growled and smacked Shi back on the head.
"Dammit, stop doing that Shi!" he practically screamed. "And when did I kill anyone?!"
Without even turning his head, he launched a small ki blast at Tomas. "Do it and die, T-man!"
Shi nodded and suddenly there was no ki-blast. He turned his head and looked at his brother. "Bro, you screw up my vaction, you won't be able to reincarnate for over 10,000 years! I'll scatter your essence over a million worlds!"
He sipped from his drink again. "Now sit down and stop cuasing a scene."
"Shi is right Kwok. Leave that poor sap alone, sit down, and have a drink. By Us, you always take things so damn personal."
Turning back to his drink, Tomas frowned. Things had been so nice before Kwok started being his usual self. Why couldn't he for once take a break and relax? Hell, even he didn't want to fight all the time. And the more he sat here with his drink, the less he wanted to randomly destroy things. A vacation. Yeah, that would be nice.
"You can't kill me and you know it, Shi!" Kwok said, smirking. "You kill me, you kill yoursel and the entire Universe."
"But fine," he relented. "I'll leave Ryder alone. By the way, he lost his memory."
"Crapcrapcrapcrapcrap!" screamed Carthrat, narrowly dodging the beams of intense white light.
Damn, this was just NOT his day. Never mind he just murdered a possibly innocent mage...
A city! And, conveniantly enough, he was heading straight towards it!
Dammit, that sucked! Urban flying was so hard!
Carthrat flew across the city, trying not to let the blasts go into it.
Unfortunately enough, they did, destroying various buildings, and landing perilously close to (but never on) a tavern, and killing several innocent people.
"Shoulda stayed in bed today, Carthrat, no two ways about it," he murmured to himself.
A blue light streaked from the sky and slammed into the bar's ceiling. Ace coughed and stood up.
"Feel the burn..." he muttered as he dusted himself off. Then the ceiling collapsed.
"AH!" Ace looked below and saw Kwok below.
"Hey, ya lazy bum! Move ur ass or get flattened!"
Kwok looked up as soon as he heard the noise coming from above.
"No," he grinned.
Quickly hopping into a stance with his right leg in front of the left, he tilted his body to the left to about 120 degrees and kicked his right leg almost straight up to meet the freefalling Ace's stomach.
Looking up at the streaking blue light, Ryder blinked...
"I swear, maybe it was a bad idea finding these people..." he muttered before turning around to have a drink...
Carthrat was getting annoyed. Sure, he COULD take Bahamut out with a Railgun shot, but he only had 6 charges, dammit!
He tried to aim his pistol between the dragons eyes, but that's kinda hard when you're flying with huge wings.
That didn't stop him blamming away, though, the Armour Piercing/Hollow Point Conversion bullets punching through the armour and then expanding. Which hurt. Alot.
What was that? Oh, it was just an energy blast taking off part of his wing.
Carthrat cursed...
and promptly crash-landed onto the bar, sliding right in front of Rider's beer.
"This... is really... uncomfortable.... Bartender! Beer!"
OOC: I'm falling with my feet down Kwok, since I stood up before falling. ^_^
IC: Ace landed on Kwok's foot, feet first, and hopped down to the ground.
"Fine, don't take my advice. See if I care," Ace said. He shook his head. Althought there was a strange chill at the back of his neck. Like someone was watching him...
Besides everyone in the bar, including the bartender, who was glaring at him and pointing to the roof, shouting something in another language.
He mentally sighed.
"I guess I'll be the one who has to fix that. Dammit!" He cursed.
"And its your fault too, Kwok! It always is!"
Kwok smirked. "Yeah, and this is my fault too!"
Pivoting on his right leg, he turned his body around slightly and launched his left leg at Ace's mid-section with the intention of kicking him into breaking some more tables.
Ace picked himself out of the wall and dusted the wooden splinters off his clothes...again. He strode towards Kwok to smack him on the head. Hard. Like right at that moment.
"Does everything you do in life always have to center around violence? I come for a visit and you instantly have a whiny little fit trying to kick me."
By now, Carthrat had managed to pick himself up off the bar, sling his cloak around his wings, effectively removing them from sight, and had seen The Aspects.
*cue funky music*
"...Just my luck. I get ripped into another dimension, and it has to have HIM in it. When I get home, I am going to EXTERMINATE all alarm clocks in the goddamed city..."
He dusted himself off slightly.
"Kwok, shut up. Whoever you are, keep hitting him. Dammit, I need a drink..."
Kwok grinned. "Coincidentally, yes."
Hopping to in front of Carthrat with lightning speed, he grabbed Carthrat's shirt and attempted to throw him at Ace.
"I love violence," he grinned.
Ace caught Carthrat, sliding a few feet on the ground to halt the momentum. He took a deep breath.
"Isn't there a mental institution waiting for you somewhere? I'm sure your gay lovers there are all just waiting for you to come back with their straightjackets."
He turned to Carthrat.
"So you know him, huh? Unluckily." He nodded his head in sympathy.
Kwok grinned. "Nah. I'm only for girls."
"Too bad none of them likes me..." he grumbled.
Carthrat dusted himself off, and pulled out his railgun, holding it at Kwok's head.
"Thank's, uh, what's your name? Carthrat Tanewaki, at your service... and Kwok, we all know how bad a headache you get if I pull this trigger..."
Kwok stepped out to the right, and grabbed the railgun with his left hand, then pivoted on his right and spins to Carthrat's side, the railgun at almost over ninety degrees from his arm from his effort.
"Order. Nice ta meet ya." He nodded to Carthrat, then promptly moved outside Kwok's vision range.
With Kwok's attention diverted, Ace strode up to the bar and called for a drink. He pulled up a chair next to Tomas.
"Hey Tomas. Shi. How's Life?" He asked them.
It was, perhaps, unfortunate for Kwok that Carthrat's gun hand + trigger finger was way faster than any kind of disarming or defence he could pull.
A somewhat wide red beam lanced out at point-blank range towards Kwok, completely befuddling his mind as the beam began warping space/time physics in ways mere Aspects cannot begin to imagine...
OOC: Oh, come on. You REALLY thought it's possible to move faster than the gun? ^^
The railcharge hit Kwok...
... then said Aspect just... faded out and dissolved.
"Hey bartender," came a voice from the bar. "Where's my drink? I've been waiting for a while."
Turning around, he motioned for Carthrat to come with his head. "Want a drink?"
Carthrat smirked.
Temporal physics, while only a new and 'exciting' development in modern science, were all too simple for a genius of Carthrat's calibre. While the information he rolled through his mind could be understood with a bit of reading, the equations needed to prove it were somewhat larger.
The railcharges energy had been trapped in the area thanks to Kwok's nicely timed teleport. What this did was somewhat interesting.
Since the lowest possible division of time is unknown, one can only assume that the railguns charge in subspace, by following the Carthratical Law of Physics rule #33214, it's power would be put to the power of infinity, to be released at a time unknown yet forever.
What this meant was...
Kwok would now have spasmodic migraines for the rest of his tortured existance, unless he somehow extricated the railcharge from the sub-time-space sheath in which it was placed, which was only really doable by going back in time and preventing Carthrat from taking the shot in the first place.
To do that, of course, broke the first rule of paradox, and thus was patently impossible to affect the current dimension.
But what all of this added up to was...
Carthrat, smirking, replied, "Yeah, whatever. Spike it and die."
He produced a small watch, fiddled with it and the railgun for a moment, and a timer appeared-
"1 hour, 35 minutes, 21 seconds'
Yup. If only he'd brought a camera...
Out of the corner of his eye, Ryder watched the battle with a half-hearted interest, with most of his attention focused on the locals, and why they looked so frekkin' familiar...
"I could have sworn I've heard that before..." he muttered before taking a sip of his drink...
As he drank his drink, Carthrat realised that he'd forgotten about something.
Something vitally important to his survival, and continued existence. Something really big.
But what WAS it? He couldn't remember! It eluded him.. what was it? What WAS it?
B! It began with a B! Now, what letter next...
His thinking was cut short, however, as Bahamut flew directly over him, and began charging up a rather impressive blast of energy.
"...Aww shit."
Carthrat dove away as the powerful blast smashed into the tavern, cursing his luck.
"Hey! Tomas!" Ace stood up and leaned over, watching for signs of life from Tomas. The guy was totall unresponsive. Maybe Tomas was having one of his...dead moments.
"Hey! You alive over there?"
No response.
"Fine then, ya Barney lover. When the ceiling collapses on you don't blame me for not warning you," Ace grumbled.
Just to be sure, Ace grabbed Kwok and threw him at Tomas. If Tomas WASN'T alive, he'd be smacked. Hard. By Kwok's fat ass.
Kwok did a few extravagant flips in the air and landed on his feet, wagging his finger at Ace.
"Tsk tsk tsk. Does everything in your life revolve around violence?"
Ryder blasted a piece of ceiling falling on Ace, and said calmly, "You guys... maybe moving this fight elsewhere would help, since there's a big... whatever the hell it is... outside waiting to destroy this tavern..."
Bahamut was upset, mainly because Carthrat was still alive.
He really was quite a terrafying beast, when one thought about it. Great and huge, capable of breathing hugely powerful blasts...
On the other hand, you had Carthrat, who while capable of blowing the Dragon from one end of the world to the other, was, well...
Slack, tired, and trying to conserve his railgun shots.
It was times like this he wished he knew some magic...
Bahamut landed in front of him, smashing half of the tavern (and it's inhabitants) to pieces. He let loose one of his really big beam things which hurt, but Carthrat managed to shield himself behind his wings, whipping of his cloak and curling them around him...
The wings didn't break- they had this tendancy to only get hurt by things once. But everything behind Carthrat was in for some major pain...
Ace fingered the bracelet on his wrist. For some reason it got a little warm when Kwok said that.
"Only when it comes to people like you, Kwok," was his reply. "Especially since everything I've done that has been violent has been YOUR fault."
Ace shrugged his shoulders. "But yeah, sure. I agree with Ryder. Lets get out of here. Sir Personality and Ol' Shi over there can go get tentacle raped."
Ace thought for a moment.
"Actually, I hope that they do. They might actually react to that."
Ace turned to Ryder.
"Speaking of which, aren't you the guy who was with Evil Saturn? You better not have left her behind! She owes me a game of chess!"
He muttered "Shield," covering, himself and Ryder with a blue bubble. He wanted to know what happened to Evil Saturn.
Kwok kicked at the bubble around Ace and Ryder.
"Lemme in, damn chinzy bastard!"
"Let you in? Why'd they do that? Then they'd have to like, you know, TOUCH you. What kind of person in their right mind would do that?"
Carthrat stretched for a moment, then narrowly dodged ANOTHER giga flare.
"For chrissakes, Kwok, go kill it! Aren't you meant to be the all-powerful aspect here? Do you WANT to die?" Carthrat asked.
He checked his watch. One hour left.
Kwok gave Carthrat a wide grin.
"I'm not the one he's after," he grinned. "Besides, since I'm the 'all powerful' Aspect, he can't kill me."
"What? Who's Evil Saturn? Should I know her or something?" Ryder questioned while tilting his head slightly...
Looking up at Bahamut, Ryder sweatdropped and added, "You sure this shield will hold?"
Carthrat snorted.
"Of course you can die. I've been setting my Railgun to 'weak' mode. And don't spout that crap about the universe being destroyed as well as you... I did my homework, and found that, in fact, you'll just be reincarnated somewhere else."
Carthrat produced a grenade from somewhere, and with an expert throw, slung it straight into Bahamut's mouth.
"I'm sure you'll be happy to know that you'll end up in extreme pain for the rest of your life, unless you help me. As for how... let's just say I got my ways."
He surrepitously checked his Safety Bit- yup, no way he'd die to any of those lame 'instant death' attacks. Goddamed 'finger of death'...
A small explosion rocked Bahamut's interior, but he didn't fall...
Instead, he fired another Giga Flare... at Carthrat...
who pulled out a small, gun-shaped device... pointed it at Kwok and fired it...
And suddenly, Kwok was standing where Carthrat was standing before, with Carthrat checking his Railgun- switching the mode from "Weak" past "Tank-buster', and all the way up to 'Slaughterer'.
"I should leave you out there to get fried, Mr. "All power Aspect." But I'm not that cruel."
Ace sent a blue chain out of the bubble to wrap around Kwok and yank him in. He WAS family after all. If Kwok didn't want in, then that was his choice.
"As for the shield, no worries there. Defense is what I live for." He grinned.
That moment of glee was short lived. Ace's face twitched.
"Y-you f-forgot Evil Saturn? You mean you l-left her out there alone? With Kaos? BASTARD! How could you leave her with that sick, perverted walking disaster?!"
Ace lunged for Ryder's throat.
"I don't even know who you're talking about!" Ryder exclaims as he ducks under the lunging Ace and rolls to where Ace used to be...
"Damn it, I've never met any of you people before... how do you all know me!!!" Ryder says while slowly getting into his familiar battle stance... not that he would notice...
Ace totally ignored Ryder's response. He flipped from his handstand position to his feet and punches the side of the shield.
"You left Evil Saturn with...KAOS! YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE!"
He turned to Ryder and glared at him. "I hope you know that because of you an innocent girl's life has just been irreversibly changed for the worse. Poor, poor Evil saturn."
Ace shook his head. He'd never get his game of chess.
Might as well do the next best thing. Ace charged at Ryder, smashing his fist down at Ryder then following with an uppercut.
As he was uppercutted, Ryder flipped back and formed a plasma ball as a warning. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!?! I'VE NEVER MET THIS KAOS GUY, OR THIS EVIL SATURN YOU KEEP TALKING ABOUT!!"
"Oh how sad it is! To cover his guilt he pretends not to know who Saturn is! Saturn, why did you have to be with such a jerk?!" Ace wailed. "Poor Evil-chan. To be forgotten after so long? What did you do to deserve this?"
Carthrat raised an eyebrow at the commotion inside Ace's shield.
Shield? Was it to keep the blasts out, or the warzone in? Geez, they're probably all just as violent and irrational as Kwok... am I the only Sane person left in the universe?
No time for that now- must kill Bahamut.
Carthrat twirled his Railgun, pointed it at Bahamut- pulled the trigger...
*Ka-ZAPAANNNNNNNNG! Wooooooooosh!*
Bahamut just... dissapeared. But the incredibly huge railblast kept going, eventually stopping at-
Oh dear. That was the moon.
And it wasn't stopping.
Dammit, now there'd be meteor showers... did I bring an umbrella?
"So...where are we going again?" Tomas admired the scenery as the overly large group walked down the dirt beaten trail. He and Shi had bugged out of the bar within seconds of the starting fight. Both realizing the type of destruction that was gonna happen chose to leave the city.
The pair had gotten lucky as they had run into a group of people also heading out of the city. Introductions had been made, and the pair had managed to convine the group to let them tag along for the walk. It hadn't been all that hard really. All it took was a nicely phrased request to the young girl Yuna, and she said yes. For some reason the others did what she asked.
"Gee, man," said Wakka, turning his darkly tanned face to Tomas, "You know even less then Tidus does."
"Hey!" Tidus, the blond young man quickly took offense at that.
Tomas, however, simply shrugged. "You say that like its a bad thing. Being ignorant is bliss sometimes. If I don't know, I can't worry about it, right?"
"Umm...Tomas...?" Tomas turned to look at Yuna. "Have you been effected by Sin's poison?"
With a frown on his face, Tomas slowly nodded. "Maybe...maybe...but if I have," he shrugged and gave a smile, "I can't remember!"
Lulu, the black mage, spoke up from where she was walking near the back of the group. "We are traveling to Djose. We must follow the Highroad to reach it."
Auron simple remained silent. Mainly because the writer couldn't think of a cool one-liner.
Shi just sort of shoved Tomas and laughed. "Yeah... Sin messed up his mind a little, pay no attention to him. We uhh... got caught by it.. umm.. I forgot where, actually. it was just a few.. uhh.. I forgot how long ago, too..."
"Yeah!" Tomas was now just having fun. He didn't have a clue what he was saying, but by the Aspects, he was gonna say something. "It was cool. All the pretty colors and special effects!" Now he was just running with it to annoy Shi. He hadn't had this much fun in awhile. Knowing his cousin, however, he was probably ready to kill him. Maybe it was time to stop...
Looking around at the faces of everyone, he decided it was. His manner changed from the hyper, over active persona, to a more serious, albeit somewhat annoyed attitude. "Jeez, people, lighten up. I'm just messing with you. You're taking everything so damn seriously. Its not like we're traveling to all these temples so someone can pray for their soul before they get killing in some horrible sacrifice, ya know?"
Ace stopped his rantage and looked outside. He watched the beam go up and straight towards the moon. Bahamut's attacks, he could block with his shield. A constant barrage of meteors...
Ace shrugged. "Oh well. At least that means there's not gonna be any Crystal Tokyo, thank Saturn."
Ace dropped the shield and decided that enough was enough. People can only ignore so much property damage. He quietly drifted into the shadows, and hopefully he'd get out without being seen.
"Kwok!" He gave a mental shout to Kwok. "Grab Ryder and lets get out of here! I don't want to pay for this bar. Our other siblings already bailed, and I think our turn's up as well."
With luck, the bill would be given to Carthrat, who caused the damage.
Shi sighed. Tomas talked too damn much. "Ignore Tomas. He's not right in the head, ya see. So, how long is this Highroad, anyway?"
Lulu spoke up again. "It will take most of the afternoon to reach Rin's. We won't reach Djose until tomorrow, I believe."
"Not right in the head?" Tomas frowned and smacked the backi of Shi's head. "As I recall, you're the one who wanted to kill every man, woman, child, dog, cat, fish, and insect in a city of millions. And then tried to do it." Tomas ignored the looks from everyone around. "I don't call that mentally sound."
"He wanted to...WHAT!" The cry came from several different people at once.
Tomas simply shrugged. "You ever have a day when you just want ot hit something?" After see Tidus at least nod, Tomas continued. "Shi was having one of those days. But worse."
Shi grinned. He staged whispered to the entire group, "I told you he wasn't right in the head. He thinks I'm psycho or something. Considering he can't remember anything except our names, that doesn't say much for him."
He skipped forward and bit and looked back to the group. "Like I said, don't listen to him! In fact, don't listen to me, either! We're better at fighting than talking anyway..."
"I can here you whispering, Shi, and I got the videos of it." Which was very true. It was nice of Kaos to have passed them along for the family album. Of course, now he'd have to find a VCR and a TV, but how hard could that be? "Anyway, Shi is right about one thing, we're far better at fighting then conversation."
Tidus had stopped for a moment as the rest walked on, before running back up to Tomas. "Wait a sec! Did you say you have vids?" At Tomas' confirming nod, Tidus grew more excited. "Then...are you from Zanarkan? Like me? I haven't see a vid since then! How did youg et here? Did Sin bring you?"
Tomas blinked and shrugged, though his face was serious. "I have no idea how I got here. That's the truth, okay."
Tidus sighed and his head bowed. "Yeah, okay."
Shi nodded. "Zanarkand? Hm. Never heard of it. I think. I... uhh.. can't remember."
Auron finnaly spoke up. "It's unlikely that they from Zanarkand." Of course, he naturally didn't explain anymore about that, instead just giving Tidus a look.
Tomas frowned and then nodded. "Yeah, he's probably right. If we were from there it'd probably be a ruin. Things tend to get destroyed where evewr we go. We must have the worst luck in the world."
Again everyone blinked and looked at Tomas, almost as though they were trying to figure out whether he was really crazy, or whether he simply remembered far more then Shi did.
Tomas, however, ignored the looks again. "Take that bar back in Luca. There we were, minding our own business, having a couple of drinks, when a bunch of crazies show up and start a brawl right behind us."
Shi nodded. "That actually did happen. We.. err.. ran away before we could get caught up in it. It was for the best."
"Hey! You! You broke this bar! Pay up!"
Carthrat absently produced a chunk of gold from his cloak and threw it at the man who was yelling, who promptly got his brain crushed.
Now... what to do?
He pondered on following the Aspects... he'd probably find a way home eventually. On the other hand, he could run about spreading Chaos and Anarchy!
Naah. He'd just follow the Aspects. Something was bound to happen...
Producing another small device, he pushed a button, and promptly dissapeared from sight. With that, he folded his cloak, admired his regenerated wing (which was now a purply-green color), and flew a good distance over the aspects, watching them, and considering blowing one away with the Railgun.
Then a meteor almost hit him. He cursed, and started watching his piloting...
Kwok winced. He wasn't that used to having voices speak inside his head.
"Alright, alright, fine..." he spoke aloud. "Now where the hell is Ryder...?"
Ryder was currently KOed near the remains of the bar...
However, in his mind, images flashed before him... A family with ultimate power, a partner in crime, a leader, a world being destroyed...
Kwok glanced around the bar, and finally found Ryder's unconscious body. Grumbling, he made his way over to Ryder's body and threw him on his shoulders.
"The things I do..." he growled under his breath as he carried Ryder's unconscious body back towards Ace.
"Goddurnit," Ace thought wearily. "I've got to get out of here."
"Comeon Kwok, before Carth follows us with his gigantic bar debt."
Ace was wary enough always try to escape the destruction of city buildings. It was a reminder of the numberous times he always had to pay for the damage to that...bar a long time ago because everyone else, wisely enough, left before the bartender came back and the tab was pinned on him.
"I just wanted a drink with some people I know. Is that so much to ask for?" He muttered. "Oh yeah, punch Ryder a couple times or something would ya Kwok? Maybe his memories will come back."
Debt? That didn't sound good. He was broke enough already...
He took off after Ace, smacking Ryder's head against doorframes and support beams and such.
"Well, Ace DID tell me to punch him..." he thought.
However, Kwok did nothing to help, as Ryder started to absorb some of the trickling memories, he got smacked in the head by a beam and woke up...
"Hoee???" Ryder groggily asked, while looking at the destroyed bar behind them...
"...Any idea where to go?" Ace looked around. They ran far enough so that the bar was out of site. but now there was just...some roads an trees and stuff. How boring is that? Ace turned to Kwok.
"How about you chuck Ryder into the air and whichever road his head faces we go?"
"NANI????" Ryder screamed while sliding off of Kwok's shoulder... and fell on his head...
"Ite..." He muttered as he stood up and pointed to Kwok, "Throw him! I'm gonna get a concussion with all the hits to my head today!!"
"Hmm? He's awake? Damn..." Ace shook his head. "Well I guess there's no helping it."
He did give Ryder a particularly nasty look though.
"I still can't believe you've forgotten Saturn, heretic," he growled. "And that you left her with Kaos."
"But besides that, you have any destination or direction you want to head off to?"
"I'm telling you, I've never met any of you people! But, I guess that really doesn't matter now, does it?" Ryder then grabbed a spinner out of his pocket and spun it... and it fell going to the west...
"West anyone?" Ryder shrugged...
"Alright whatever." Ace shrugged. There was nothing better to do. "And no, it doesn't matter. You're Ryder. You were with Saturn. Now Saturn is alone with Kaos. Until you realize this and realize just how great a travesty this has become, I'll never let you forget it."
Kwok grinned.
"You're gonna thank me for this later, Ryder..." he said as he backed up a few small steps. "I'm saving you getting chewed out more by Ace."
Sprinting whatever little distance there was between them, he punted Ryder towards the West, football-style.
"OOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO???????" Ryder asked as he's sent flying... 10 feet...
"ite..." Ryder said while sprawled out on the ground...
"I don't know whether to thank you or hurt you Kwok."
He grinned. "Still, I say we beat Ryder over the head with a tree or something until his memories come back. Whadday say?"
"It's a deal!" Kwok grinned.
Running ahead at Ryder's direction, he waved back at Ace. "C'mon! The quicker we get there, the faster we can beat him down!"
From his vantage point, Carthrat raised an eyebrow.
"Dear god... no WAY am I going down there..."
"I hope you've got a hard head, Ryder, cuz this is going to hurt." Ace called downto Ryder. "And if your memories don't come back soon, your only going to prolong the pain!"
He caught up with Kwok at Ryder spot.
"Ready Kwok?"
Ryder's vision, since he had been hit in the head more than a few times, started to blur as Ace and Kwok approached to deliver a beatdown the size of Montana...
Well, it turned out that it wasn't just Ryder's vision that started to blur, as the blurring filled the area for a few seconds...
"What's going on?" Ryder asked... to which he was replied by the roar of a 3 headed dragon with razor-sharp teeth and blood red talons... did I mention the large, sharp ended tail filled with poison?
"... What the..." Ace looked up at the giant dragon guy.
"Err...change of plans Kwok. Kill monster, then beat up Ryder."
Ace picked up Ryder and shook him.
"Hey! Snap out of it, Saturn-heretic! We've got hostiles!"
"Orooooo..." Ryder said as he was shaken... then looked up at the giant dragon and sighed...
"I thought I was finished with this kind of crap when I left Ultra... oh well..." Ryder muttered as he pulled out his gun and held it ready...
The area flashed, and for no apparant reason, Ryder looked to Kwok... "Why can't I attack this thing????"
"...Wuss. Why can't you attack him!?"
Ace pulled out a pair of blue kodachi's from...wherever it is everyone kept their stuff...and held them ready.
"Well, so much for cover fire. You have any other weaponry?"
"That's just it! I pull the trigger, and nothing happens!" Ryder said as he checked his gun... "The safety's off, and I've got unlimited ammo... weird..."
Carthrat blanched at the sight of.. well, it looked kinda like a Hydra...
*I wonder if it grows new heads as you cut them off?*
Well, it wasn't really his fight... so he'd just watch for now.
"Punk ass little b..." Ace muttered to himself. That Rat. He was being a wuss too.
"So, you have any OTHER weapons Ryder?"
"Yeah, but they wouldn't work on this thing..." Ryder said while forming a bright plasma ball in his right hand...
"Okay, fine. You have anything that can cut? Like a letter opener or something? ANYTHING THAT CAN MAKE HIM
BLEED?!" Ace shouted at him.
"Oh well. Dammit, where did Kwok run off to?" He grumbled. "C'mon, we'll take this thing on by ourselves. I'll
take it from the back. Think you've got what it takes to distract all three heads?"
Ace, unknowingly, used his turn to get behind the hydra and get em into a pincer attack :P
Ryder sighed and formed a second plasma ball in his left hand... "I can make these razor sharp if need be..."
Ok, Ace was planning on using his turn to get behind the hydra.
"Ok...so can you, like, throw them at him and distract him while I get behind?"
"Hai!" Ryder said while the plasma balls formed a disc shape...
"Here I go!"
Ace charged the hydra, wondering at the same time if Ryder was ever going to throw those damn balls in his hands.
"Let's Go!" Ryder said while tossing the discs at the Hydra-Dragon. Preparing for a counterattack, Ryder unholstered his gun...
OOC: So, you wanna take control of the hydra Ryder?
The hydragon got hit with the disc, slicing gashes into it's flesh...
With a loud roar, it turned towards Ryder, it's giant tail slamming into Ace...
"Ack!" Ace was slammed into the the forest, breaking a frew trees before his momentum stopped.
"...bitch," He coughed and stood up. He picked up his twin kodachi's and stood up. "I'm really gonna enjoy this."
He jumped up and threw one arm around a tree limb, swinging his body up and on to the limb. From his vantage point, he jumped from the tree at the Hydra's back, his blade's pointing down at the hide.
The right head of the Hydragon turned around and shot a breath blast of fire at Ace...
The middle head fired at Ryder, who had his gun ready for defence...
The left head fired at Kwok....
Raising his arm into the air, Kwok brought his arm down in an arc and drew a circle in the air in front of him. The outline of the circle glowed for a moment, then the entire area within the outline became pitch black. With a flick of his wrist, a similar circle appeared behind the hydradragon.
He smirked. That was one of his oldies-but-goodies move as Space. Once the fire blast hits the black portal in front of him, it'll disappear and exit in the portal behind the hydradragon itself.
Ryder slung a plasma slice into the fire blast, making both explode in a big explosion...
Then, pulling the trigger, Ryder shot off one of the mini-rails at the hydragon... with a sonic boom following the bullet...
"Bah, shield!"
Ace held his forearm out and formed blue shield that was the length of his body. The flames passed his body harmlessly.
With only one arm outstretched for stabbing, he couldn't put enough force into it to pierce the hide and he slid down. Right under its feet.
"Well, shit. That really sucked!" He cursed. Now instead of heads he was dodging feet.
The fire slammed into Kwok spacehole, and came out behind him... giving him one big hot butt...
Ryder's bullet slammed into one of the heads, decapitating it from the sheer force of the blow...
However, the decapitation made the hydragon go wild, stamping it's feet and roaring loudly from the force of the pain...
Kicking down at the ground, Kwok floated to a safe distance away from the rampaging hydragon.
He smirked after landing. Crossing his arms in front of his chest, he concentrated and began to glow yellow.
"Moko... Takabisha!!!!!"
"Ah shit!" Ace was darting around left and right like a madman trying to avoid the feet.
The Hyra stomped and Ace rolled to the side, but every time he tried to escape the Hydra would stomp again, blocking his path.
"Dammit Ryder! Your trying to kill me aren't you? This is because I called you a saturn-heretic, isn't it?"
"I still don't know what the fuck you're talking about!!" Ryder screamed as he shot a few more rails off while moving towards Ace...
The ki-blast slammed into the side of the Hydragon, causing it to scream out in pain and rampage harder...
However, it's wild rampaging caused it to miss the bullets fired by Ryder... mostly. They still caused gashes in the Hydragon's bloody right side...
Kwok grinned. Time to press on the advantage.
Somersaulting into the air, he flipped in the air a few times and over one of the heads of the hydragon.
"Eat this and die, you three-headed freak! Amaguirken!!"
"An opening!" Ace dove out from under the hydra to the right, narrowly avoiding being stomped into a pancake.
He jumped up and slammed the kodachi's hard into the open wounds on the hydragon's flank.
Ryder reholstered his gun, and bounced off the open wound into the air...
"BOTH OF YOU MOVE!!!" he shouted as Ryder started to glow...
Kwok sweatdropped as he saw the glowing Ryder.
"Uh... yep... I think I'll take your advice and run..."
Without even glancing back, he ran far, far away from Ryder and the hydragon.
Ace jammed his kodachi in the hydragon's hide and ripped off a few scales.
"Souvenir," He said simply, and ran off.
Ryder spun in mid-air and slammed down into the hydragon at intense speed... foot first.
At first, the kick didn't seem to do nothing... but then, a bolt of plasma shot out of the dragon... and another... and another...
Ryder's face went from a confident smirk into an 'Oh shit...' as the hydragon puffed up from the plasma filling it and exploded... sending Ryder flying into Kwok...
"Gah!" Kwok widened his eyes as the human projectile traveled towards him at obscene speeds.
Quickly switching into a modified Tai Chi stance, he crossed his arms horizontally in front of himself and caught the flying Ryder with both hands. Turning his arms to uncross them and spinning Ryder in the process, he pushed the airborne Ryder flying towards Ace.
"Catch, bro!" he grinned. "And remember to beat on him to get the Saturn-heretic's memory back!"
Ryder's eyes widened as he was sent towards Ace...
"Oh shit..." he muttered as he expected the pummeling to begin.
However, as his mind blacked out in preparation, Ryder's eyes narrowed and he pulled out a familiar blue and black bass guitar... and smashed the side of it into Ace's head... while laughing maniacally.
"Ah! Bitch!" Ace cursed, jerking his head to the side from the impact. "Dammit that hurt! I knew you were just pretending to have lost your memory!"
Ace followed through with the side momentum that came with being smashed with a guitar in the side of the head. He grabbed the guitar handle and yanked Ryder along with him, and swung his leg up to clip Ryder in the stomach as Ryder followed.
"Kwok! The Saturn-heretic awaits!" He called out, wincing.
This was fun!
You didn't get much better live action than this, thought Carthrat as he munched on some popcorn.
He failed to notice, of course, the fact that he was spilling popcorn from the sky all over the battlefield, thanks to his Porta-bag.. it maintained a direct link to his microwave at home, which could be programmed to cook, convect, do the dishes AND take the dog out for a walk..
His expression changed from amusement to mild surprise as the dragon began growing from Ryder's plasma blasts.
"Could it be absorbing the plasma? But then.. I could combine it with Argodracit DNA and give it plasma breath, thus creating a limitless energy source.."
Then the dragon exploded.
"...crap."
Carthrat went flying from the explosion and landed in a tree, which promptly fell over.
"Double crap."
Then his invisibility device shorted out.
"...maybe they didn't see me!"
<-That's right, Carthrat, and they're also deaf, dumb and paralysed. Though they WERE rather busy slamming into each other, there.. ->

Turning in the air, Ryder continued to grin, and aiming the guitar handle at Ace and Kwok... started letting loose a stream of bullets at the pair...
Ace held his forearm up to his face, trying to keep the blue translucent shield in control with his other arm as the constant barrage sent wave after wave of vibrations through the shield.
"Don't think I'm gonna beat you to a pulp any less for this, ya barney lover wannabe!" He yelled out.
He didn't notice the bullets being deflected up at a certain character who's last post was all about talking to himself.
As he held his shield steady, Ace inched forward towards Ryder.
"Barney lover wannabe!"
Ryder stopped the barrage of bullets for a second... but he pulled on the whammy bar and unleashed a rocket at Ace...
"Why you..."
Ace grabbed the edge of the shield and swung it like a baseball bat at the rocket.
"Its a homerun!" He cheered, watching the rocket fly off into the distance. "And the crowd goes wild!"
Then he charged Ryder.
Strapping his guitar over his shoulder, Ryder backpedaled and pulled his railgun back out. Grinning madly, he fired a few shots at the charging Ace... leaving sonic booms in thier wake.
Ace reacted as fast as he could, throwing up another shield. The amount of power he could put in it was minimal, and after the first rail and its sonic boom the rest sliced through like a Kaos goes through planets. Really easily.
The second missed by a mere inch and the third struck home.
"F%($ you Ryder!" Ace snarled, planting his knees into the ground and kept the rail from penetrating his skin by clamping his hands over his.
"Sweet mercifull %^*& it burns!" Ace gritted his teeth.
After a few looong moments of skidding across the ground his moment his momentum stopped suddenly by a large rock.
When Ace stood up, he slammed the rail shot into the rock. He had a maniacal glint in his eye as he clenched his intensely burned hands.
"Ryder. I'm not going to just hurt you. I am going to Rip. you. apart. slowwwwlllyy."
Ryder suddenly stopped... and collapsed...
"Don't think that fainting is going to save you from my wrath! GET YOUR ASS ON YOUR FEET BEFORE I MAKE SURE YOU NEVER USE YOUR FEET AGAIN!" Ace screamed in his face, grabbing his collar and shaking him really, really hard.
"Ororororororororororororororororororororo????????????" Ryder said shakily... as Ace shook him...
"DIE!"
Ace clenched his burning, pained fist, and prepared to smash Ryders face in. He wouldn't even be satisfied until that rock behind Ryder's head became dust from the impact of Ryder's head against it.
"WHAT DID I DO!!!!" Ryder shouted in despiration...
"LOOK AT MY GODDAMN HANDS AND SAY THAT AGAIN!" Ace socked Ryder. All he could think of was how nice it would be to sculp Ryder's face into that rock. By beating his face against it enough to form the shape.
Pulling out his railgun, he pointed it into Ace's chest and choked out, "Let... me... go..."
"Do it. COME ON! FIRE YOUR GUN! I REALLY DON'T GIVE A SHIT ANYMORE!" Ace was furious. He didn't care that
at such close range the gun had a small chance of missing. he couldn't very well block the shot either.
"DO IT! Do it, and I'll make sure you never remember Saturn!"
Ace flipped a kodachi out and aimed to jam it in the railgun's barrel.
A memory flashed...
"Hotaru-chan?" Ryder muttered as he lowered his gun...
"AHHHH!"
Ace punched forward and smashed the rock right next to Ryders head.
"Dammit!" he said, shaking his head. Ace sighed. He missed Saturn. She'd probably never forgive him if he killed Ryder.
"Your still gonna pay for burning my hands, Ryder, but whatever. I'm going to go find Tomas. Hey Kwok!" He shouted over to where Kwok was. "We need to finish our family reunion!"
"Fine, fine..." Kwok grumbled. Making his way over to Ace, he wrapped an arm around his neck, and half-dragged, half-carried Ace off.
"C'mon, let's go... Ryder's had enough..."
Ryder stood up and brushed off the dirt on his pants... following the pair, he wondered, "Who's Hotaru?"
Shrugging, he pulled his guitar off his back and absently looked at it... wondering where he got it from...
"Yo. Ryder, right?"
Carthrat sauntered up next to Ryder, hands in his pockets.
"You acted a little crazy back then.. then ya snapped out of it. Like you were someone else. Then ya snapped out of it.. some weird kind of amnesia you got there."
Carthrat took out a pack of ciggarettes and lit one up. "Smoke?"
Ryder looked at Carthrat, and at the cigarette, and replied, "No thanks, too young..."
"It's weird... It's only happened to me once before, and I found out about these..."
He restrapped his guitar and pulled out one of the Gundanium Chairs...
"And now, I black out and I find out I have this..."
Carthrat blinked.
"That's Gundanium! Weird.. that stuffs rare.."
Carthrat paused for a moment.
"Then again, if you hang around those two, you'll probably need whatever you can get.. I thought Kwok was bad, but Ace seems just plain vicious.."
"Wait... you know these whackos?" Ryder said with a bit of surprise as he placed the chair back into subspace...
"Eh. We're acquanted. Actually, I know Kwok fairly well.. but I met Ace around the same time you did."
"Kwok's a bit of a weirdo. I've never had any clue what his agenda is, and I doubt I ever will. What I DO know is that he is, his idiotic personality aside, he happens to be the Aspect of Space. Ace over there is the Aspect of Order.. and I'm Carthrat, Guy of Nothing in Particular. Sucks to be normal, sometimes."
"What about you, anyway? What's the first thing you remember?"
"I remember... a profound night, full of violence and death..." Ryder muttered... and facepalmed...
"No, that ain't it. That's the opening to Scryed... The first thing I remember is lying in a field... my railgun next to me. Every once in a while, I'll get flashes... a hideous purple creature or a family of 7 clouded in darkness... but that's all they are... flashes."

"Really? Weird. Guess you're going through 'post-traumatic prophecy' state. Don't worry, it'll all make sense later. Maybe.
Nice Railgun, by the way. Did you make it or buy it? And did the shot intensity get shortened by the ammo recreator mechanism?"
"I don't know... Like I said, it was next to me when I woke up. But, something tells me it's mine... I just don't know how I know this..."
Ryder muttered while pulling the gun out...
"It hasn't failed me yet though..."
"Hey! Leggo!" Ace tried to squirm out of Kwok's grip, but eventually gave up and let Kwok drag him along. He was tired anyways.
"I suppose Ryder has had enough. I swear he'll pay for my hands though. Any ideas on where Tomas went off to?"
Looking at the pair in front of him, Ryder asked, "Hey... who's this Tomas guy you two are talking about?"
Once again... a twinge of deja vu strikes as he says the name, but nothing more...

IC: "Tomas is our cousin," Kwok answered, looking back at Ryder. "Mine and Ace's anyway. And right now we have no idea where he's off to. Any ideas? You should have some traces of how to find him in whatever's left of your memory or something..."
"Of course I don't have any ideas... I don't know the guy remember?" Ryder said while kicking a rock along the unbeaten path they were traveling...
On the group's right, a stone gleamed...
"Feh," Kwok remarked casually. "You're useless."
To emphasize the point, he did a back kick at Ryder without turning around.
Bright and shiny objects always did have a way of catching 'Rat's attention..
He stepped over to the stone and inspected it for a moment.
"Weird.. wonder what I could make from this..."
Shrugging, he picked it up and stuffed it in his pocket before walking back to the group.
Ryder hopped back to avoid the kick and stated, "So, I don't remember any of you people... cut me some slack, will you?" Then adding, "And I'm not useless... I killed that big dragon back there, didn't I?"
The gem in Carthrat's pocket began to softly pulse a dull red...
Carthrat blinked. He took to gem out his pocket, and looked at it for a moment.
"Wierd."
"No, I won't cut you some slack, Ryder!" Kwok turned his head around to glare at Ryder. "It's YOUR fault you don't remember us! And it's just a tiny little dragon!"
Ace fidgeted with the bracelet on his wrist and grimaced. It had been starting to chafe recently but he didn't want to take it off. Oh well.
He reached into his pockets and flipped out a roll of medical bandages. Then he started binding his hands, all while glaring at Ryder.
"Saturn, give me strength," He said softly as he wrestled with the temptation to jump Ryder and beat him senseless.
"Tell me something! HOW THE HELL IS IT MY FAULT!!!" Ryder shouted as he kept walking...
The stone was getting hot. Very hot.
"Hey, why IS it his fault, anyway? I mean, just because you're all still going through puberty dosn't mean you HAVE to find someone to point blame at, does it?"
Carthrat stared at the stone a moment longer, thanking once again the fact that he OD'ed on Phoenix Pills...
"Then again, I suppose rational thought never was something Aspect's considered sane... or cool, or whatever.."

"It's all your fault because you're the one that can't remember!" Kwok yelled at Ryder, pointedly ignoring Carthrat. "I mean, EVERYBODY remembers you, but you don't remember US!"
"WOAH WOAH WOAH!!!!" Ryder shouted, "Why is that mt fault!!! Maybe you 2 beat on me so much I lost them! Ever think of that???"
"I used to have sanity. I used to work with rational thought. I thought it was like a prerequisite for being what i am. Feh! Yeah right!" Order thought to himself.
"Kwok does have a strange sense of logic there," He said out loud. "Anyways I'll gladly beat you up some more if that's what your asking for Ryder." He glared at Ryder as he tore the bandage, tying it off.
Carthrat sighed. "Why bother with this argument? It's obvious that you two are gonna end up beating on him again, so why not start now? Since when did either of you need concrete reasons to hurt someone? It seems to be all you're good at.."
The stone in his hand was crackling with power...
"Who are you to talk? You know NOTHING about me," Order retorted. He clenched his left hand into a fist and felt the burning sensation from the injury. "Kwok, who is this guy anyways and why does he think he knows us so well?"
"Him?" Kwok thumbed at the direction of Carthrat. "Nevermind him. He's just a nut who thinks he has cool gadgets."
Carthrat checked his watch.. and grinned.
He snapped his fingers...
And Kwok fell to the ground, clutching his head and moaning.
"Damn cool gadgets, if I say so myself. And only 3 hours till the next one, Kwok! You'll be living with the rest of your life, so you better get used to it now.."
"What did you do to him? Give him an regular orgasm or something?" Ryder questioned while hearing the moans...
"There's a piece of Thymalite lodged in quasi-N-space within his brain. Because the Railcharge was set to factor 12, it spasmodically sends a Crythinalite shock throughout his gravitic form on the 4th dimension, resulting in an inverted boltslash-type 3."
"In laymans terms, I shot him in the head and he started having migraines."
Order looked down at his brother, clutching his head and moaning in pain.
"Why didn't I sense this before?" He wondered. "Hey Kwok! Why didn't you tell me you caught something?"
Order sighed and put on a glove. "God, I really hate my aspect. I really do sometimes, cuz I have to do shit like this to help you out. Bring up a portal Kwok, and open wide."
Kwok didn't even bother to respond. The pain in his head making it somewhat hard to do. With a wave of his hand, he opened up a portal that would lead to where the railcharge is.
"Whew, at least I didn't have to go rectally." Ace blew a relieved sigh. He reached into the portal and focused, using his powers of order to find the spot of Kaos within Kwok.
He shuddered and certainly hoped those things he was seeing were not Kwok's memories.
Pushing past this, he reached down, deep down, and felt around for the rail.
"...someone shoot me," Order thought with disgust. He was starting to hate railguns. He grabbed hold of the rail, gritting his teeth at the revived burning sensation in his hands, and yanked it out none too gently.
"I really hate railshots." Order split the rail in half, disintegrating one part and sealing the other part away as a mememto to his pain.
"AAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!"
Kwok rolled over and over on the ground as memories were triggered from Ace's act. Memories that he'd sealed and hoped to lock away forever.
He remembered... Steph. How beautiful she was... how gentle... how unreachable. And he remembered that he tried to hurt her at various points in his existence. Now that he was looking back, he didn't know why he would remotely want to hurt someone like her.
He also remembered the only other girl he had ever loved in his long existence... the goddess named Angela. She was the only other person he'd given his heart to... even though she was a goddess, she had no elite attitude. Approachable, energetic, her very smile could make his heart melt like pudd-
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
He screamed again at the burning, and PAINFUL sensation of having the railcharge removed from his head. "Damn you Ace!" he screamed. "Can't you be gentle with that?!"
"...Your shitting me, right?" Ace quirked an eyebrow. "You know just how damn painful it was for me to remove that shit from your BRAIN? You should be grateful, ya jerk."
"You weren't the one getting all those unwanted memories back in your head," Kwok growled at his sibling. "Do you have any idea how hard it is to remember something that you've wanted to forget for so long?"
"Do you have any idea how much I miss them?" he snapped. "They're gone, and I'll never get them back, and what you just did just reminded me of how much I was missing!"
He turned his head towards the sky to hide the growing moisture in his eyes.
"I'll never get them back..." he whispered to himself.
Carthrat raised an eyebrow.
<-Well, well. Kwok has a soft side after all. Guess I'd better be a little less harsh to him. He's not really THAT bad a guy... but he's close.->
<-Ace, on the other hand...->
Ace stopped cold, his skin grew cold and his wrist shook uncontrollably. The bracelet grew cold as ice as its magic threatened to be overwhelmed.
"Don't you DARE compare your fucking problems with mine!" He growled. Pain lanced through his wrist as he
caught a glimpse of a face. A girl's face who was strangely familliar, yet who he didn't know. All he knew was that the bracelet was to block his memory of her. He didn't know why he'd made that bracelet, but maybe he didn't want to know. All he knew was that to take it off would cause him unending pain.
One word did make it through the magic of the bracelet.
"Sakura..."
"Fuck you!" Kwok yelled as he proceeded to punch Ace in the face. "You don't even REMEMBER Sakura! I didn't WANT to remember them and now I have to! You still have a choice!"
"Did you ever think that I might have MADE my choice already?" He shouted back angrily as he took Kwok's blow and returned it with a knee to Kwok's stomach. "You see this bracelet? Its because I didn't want to remember this Sakura person! I did't want to know who she is, what she is, or what I did to her, if I did anything! You know how much that hurts, just knowing yet not knowing at the same time?"
"As if your problems are any worse. YOUR love interests are still..." He trailed off. What was it he was going to say? Shaking his head, he retorted, "There's still a chance you can see your love interest. I don't even know who this girl is!"
"I guess I misjudged them.." muttered Carthrat to himself.
In his opinion, however, they'd done a stupid thing by shutting off their memories. But prehaps they weren't as stupid as they looked, and did it to stop them going on a rampage...
But closing their memories.. foolish. They shouldn't close them, but cherish them.
After all, gravestones all over read "Lest we Forget"... there was a reason, after all...
Kwok doubled over from the knee to the stomach, then came back up with an uppercut to Ace's chin. "You bastard!" he yelled. "Sakura's the only girl you've ever loved, and now you're saying you don't even WANT to remember her!"
"Steph and Angela probably don't give a damn about me anymore!" he glared hard at his sibling. "But if Sakura heard what you just said, do you think she would really rest in peace, wherever she is? Do you have any idea how heartbroken she'd be?"
Ace stumbled back, shocked at what Kwok said. "Kwok, I don't REMEMBER her! I don't KNOW if I wanted to remember her! Maybe I didn't then, maybe I do now. What are you talking about? Is she dead? How did she die?" Ace knew that the answer to these questions would be painful, but he couldn't just stand here and listen to Kwok berate him without knowing why.
"Steph loved you. She loved you dearly. Even AFTER you tried to kill her so many times, I remember her laughing about it later. Don't make a martyr of yourself and lie in doing so. I don't remember Angela that well, but if she was a goddess then there has to have been some truth to her feelings."
"If you want the answer to all these questions, why not just take off the bracelet?" Kwok questioned Ace. "It's simple."
"And I'm not making a martyr of myself," he continued in an icy tone. "Steph is gone. So is Angela. I'd love to know where they are and be with them again, but I can't. Even if I kill myself, I probably still won't see them in whatever afterlife we have because they may not be dead yet. It hurts to know that the people you love most may still be alive, but you may never see them again."
"Because I'm afraid all right? Is that what you wanted to hear? I'm AFRAID!" He snarled. The bracelet was deathly cold now, and he couldn't but help notice it.
"You MAY never see them again. There's always the chance you will. Just like there's always the chance you'll never see them again. There's the chance you won't see me again if I took off this bracelet cuz I'd die for reasons I wouldn't know until I took it off. there's always a chance of something not happening Kwok! Think of what COULD happen, not what may not!"
"Ace..." Kwok spoke in a low, warning tone. "Don't make me rip the bracelet off your wrist..."
"Do it then."
Order held his wrist in front, his fist facing the sky.
"Take it off. I don't care anymore. Do what I can't. If it'll get you to just LISTEN to me then do it."
"Why don't you take it off yourself, you lazy bum?" Kwok smirked. "Quit the dramatics and do it yourself. Face pain like a man."
"I doubt you should worry 'bout such things right now..." A voice asked, as the point of a golden spear pressed against the back of Kwok's neck...
"Not when you have to deal with me..." the voice muttered as a gust of wind shifted by.

Meanwhile, in the city of Bayla, a meeting took place...
Sitting in an ornate and raised chair was a sharply dressed young man with slivery hair and a pair of yellow sunglasses partially hiding his green eyes. Beside him sat a half-full glass of wine...
And in front of him hailed a slim, well tanned girl with long blonde hair, sharp blue eyes, and a open white t-shirt and shorts, over a black and blue swimsuit...
"Yamiko, this world is in chaos..." The man begins... to which the girl, Yamiko, starts dancing happily.
"Wars between Yevon's followers and the Al Bhed are destroying the land... Corrupt leaders are sending innocent people to die to defeat Sin. Shameless traders sell defective products to young travelers in the search for gold pieces. And, that, my wastefully excited agent, is where we come..." The man continued, ignoring Yamiko's happy flag dance... until the thrusting began. The man pulled out a gun and shot Yamiko in the head... Yamiko tumbled backwards a few rolls and landed stretched out with her eyes rolled back. This would have made a great death scene had there been a hole where Yamiko was shot...
"Rubber bullets Yamiko... would I really liquidate our only member?" he added as Yamiko attempted to play dead on the dusty floor.
"We... really... need to hire... a janitor..." Yamiko muttered as she shakily began to rise, knowing that she wasn't fooling anyone with her B-Movie death act.
"Ahem... As I was saying, this is where BESIDE comes in... we will conquer Spira... but first, to not stretch our resources too far, we'll start here, in the province of Meva." He grandly proclaimed to his audience of one, who was still rubbing her head from the impact of the bullet.
"And now, Yamiko, this brings me to your mission for today... and probably tommorow as well, since this is a rather complicated mission, even for an 'experienced' agent such as yourself." He stated, eloquently disguising the sarcasm within, while standing up and putting a holo-generator on the ground...
Yamiko bounced with joy and sprouted, with a mile a minute voice, "Yamiko is so happy to serve Lord Keril-sama! If Keril-sama wants coffee, he will get it with cream and the two little sugar cubes he loves so much! If he wants assassinations, I'm there and the heads will roll world records! If he wants me, I'll happily give myself up! Just say the word and Yamiko is ready! I'll be down there faster than you can shoot m..."

"Yamiko, if you would allow me to finish... Recently, I have noticed several strange energy signals throughout the area. 2 of them have traveled too far away from here to be of importance, however, 4 remain." He began as the holo-generator showed a picture of Kwok, Ace, Ryder, and Carthrat walking along in the desert.
"Yamiko, your mission is to observe this group, and determine thier alliegence, and whether or not they could be used for our cause." Keril declared as Yamiko crawled off to aquire ice for the growing lump on her head from the repeated rubber bullets.
"Didn't you just hear what I said, or are you completely deaf Kwok? I-AM-AFRAID! At least I didn't pin myself up as a martyr yet, which you seem to want give the impression of. All ya do is whine, but when someone give advice you ignore it and keep whining, crying out like a big baby that no one cares. Well I did care for about 10 seconds, and you couldn't care less that I did, so screw you. Besides, you offered to take this bracelet off anyways."
Ace turned away in disgust. Kwok wasn't exactly facing his own pain like a man, bitching that his women weren't there for him to order around.
Kwok probably didn't hear a damn thing he said, what with that spear at his neck. Ace didn't know why he tried anymore. Was it someone else who pretended they read the book on an Aspect's life?
The familliar name broke Kwok out of his argument with Ace. Only one person in the entire multiverse called him that...
"A-Angela...?" he croaked, not daring to turn around, fearing that if he did, it would all be just a product of his all-too-active imagination.
"Tell me something... Why did you leave? Were you afraid of the commitment? Couldn't stand being a one woman guy?" Angela asked while slowly pushing the point of the spear into the back of Kwok's neck...
"You don't know the kind of pain I went through... no, you were out having fun... like we used to." she added, her anger dropping with the last statement, but still keeping the same amount of pressure on the spear point...
Kwok barely flinched with the added pressure to his neck.
"No..." he said softly. "I left because I wasn't good enough for you. You deserve someone better, Angela... someone that'll treat you right... not someone that can't even decide on a girl..."
His voice started to choke. "Not someone... like me..."
Taking the pressure off the back of his neck, Angela walked around until she was face to face with Kwok...
SLAP SLAP!
"Do not give me that bullshit! You know how I feel about you... I know how you feel with me... and yet, you keep RUNNING AWAY!" Angela shouted with divine wrath...
Kwok held a hand up to his blazing-red cheeks. That was... one of the hardest times he's ever been slapped.
"I'm sorry..." he sighed. "I don't know why I left you... why I'd want to. I don't know, maybe I got scared or something..."
"Maybe you wanted to chase my counterpart and not have to worry about me? You always liked Cynthia better than me... why..." Angela started with fury, but ended whimpering on Kwok's shoulder... again.
Meanwhile, the exuberant, ditzy, and all around hyper 1st and only minion of Keril Palazzo's BESIDE, Yamiko Yamiko, proudly walked through the countryside with her bag of "spy gear" bouncing wilding on her left shoulder...
"YAMIKO HAPPILY PERSUES VICTORY AT ALL COSTS!!!! Through downpour, blizzard, and dry weather, Yamiko will dutifully persue her mission for the glory of Lord Keril Palazzo-sama!" Yamiko nonsensically rambled as she drew nearer and nearer to where Ryder and Carthrat were playing poker...
Kwok wrapped his arms around the crying goddess in a hug, and gently stroked through her white hair, trying to comfort her.
"That's not true..." he whispered. "I admit, I liked Cynthia, but she's not as important to me as you are... not even close."
"Full house," smirked Carthrat, displaying his hand proudly.
"...Two of a kind," replied Ryder, frowning.
"That put's me... seven chips in front of you," Carthrat said, taking the chipps from Ryder's pile.
"YAMI-.. PER...LCOS..S!"]
Carthrat blinked. "What was that?... Hmm. I'm gonna go check it out."
So saying, he stood, made sure his gun was loaded, and walked off in the direction of the voice...
"Then... why Kchan? Why did you always... make me feel... like she was better? I would love you... and you would love her back..." Angela cried out
"I'm sorry..." Kwok said softly. "I really am... I never wanted to make you feel that way..."
Softly, he began to sing in Angela's ear, the old song he heard on Earth so long ago. "If I made you feel second best, I'm sorry I was blind... you are always on my mind..."
OOC: So he missed them so much he didn't want to remember them, yet he was the one who ran away? Kwok, your character definitely can't make up his mind :p
OOC: He ran away, THEN decided that he didn't want to remember them because they'd probably hate his guts so it'd be better for him to just forget ^_^

Looking into Kwok's eyes with tears streaking down her face, Angela said, "You know... I got to meet that guy too. Real nice... even if he did like my cooking just a little too much..."
Then, with a small kiss on the cheek, Angela added, "Thank you..."
Kwok gave out a small chuckle as Angela said that she's met the singer of the song.
"No problem..." he whispered, blushing from the kiss on the cheek.
"Now that we've done the sap for the day, erm, hour... I wanna know what's going on this time? I mean, to go out to this universe... there has to be a reason..." Angela said as she wiped her eyes and smiled.
Ryder hastily stood and pocketed the chips and cards. Rushing after 'Rat, Ryder shouted, "Wait! I'm not sticking around for thier sap-fest!"
Order chuckled bitterly at the somewhat ironic twist of fate. Here it was, Kwok was the one who had started bitching that he didn't want to remember his old flames, and his problem was magically answered when she appears before him out of the blue. That sort of thing just didn't happen every day. To top it off, he couldn't remember this person either.
He did remember he used to be depressed sporadically, and this must have been what it was like. Maybe he should take another nap. That last one he had seemed to work relieving his depression, except he woke up with a pretty but uncomfortable bracelet stuck on.
Order decided to wait around. He didn't yet trust this new person who he may or may not have known before, but he'd be damned if he let anyone give Kwok even more a reason to bitch to him about Kwok's oh so terrible life.
"Not much of a reason, actually..." Kwok admitted. "The old world got sorta boring. Besides, I think that since then it got destroyed somehow, so we can't go back either."
"C'mon," he pointed at the direction of Ace. "Let's go meet Ace and head off."
"Oh? Then you don't want to hear my melodramatic tale? 'twas a tale of lovers, as beautiful as could be.. one as pretty as a snowflake, and one- oh, sorry."
Carthrat shook himself a little, and then called out, "I know you're there, and if you don't come out, I'll shoot you!"
Ace kept a calm but wary eye on the Angela person. There wasn't much else to do.
"Ready? Its time to head off. Question is, do we drag those two gay lovers back here, or keep going without them?" Ace's voice was laced with sarcasm. What set it off, he didn't really know, but he was in a pretty bad mood.
"Let's keep going without them," Kwok answered, blissfully unaware of Ace's overwhelmingly sarcastic tone. "Tomas is really only our problem anyway, not theirs."
Angela decided to be the voice of reason in this and added, "Wait guys... remember, we're alone in a foreign land, and we don't know what the hell we're going to face. We need all the help we could get..."
Yamiko happily bounced on, ignoring Carthrat and Ryder... heading towards Angela, Kwok, and Ace...
"YAMIKO LOVES TO SERVE LORD KERIL PALAZZO-SAMA! YAMIKO WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR KERIL PALAZZO!!!" she sung off key as she kept going.
"They can take care of themself, as can we," Ace responded. "However, if you wish to follow them, then by all means. Go ahead. Whether they will be much help in battle is, in my opinion, another matter..."
"Besides, Kwok's words ring true. Finding our family is our problem."
Kwok grinned a cocky grin.
"Besides, Angela," he said confidently. "Don't forget your boyfriend's the Aspect of Space, and his brother's the Aspect of Order. There's not much that we CAN'T handle."
"Plus," he winked at Angela. "We have a beautiful goddess on our side. How can we lose to anyone with a team like that?"
Ace knew that right at that moment he should be puking and gasping for breath from the WAFF, but he wasn't. It was, strangely, almost comforting to see this. It reminded him of happier times, with someone sealed away in his memories.
He sighed, depressed. Should he take off the bracelet? The thought of doing it still scared the hell outta him.
He put his other hand over the bracelet to cover it from his sight in hopes of forgetting that it was there.
"Lets go then. Nothing is gonna be done by standing around here."
"Kisama-!"
Carthrat dashed after Yamiko, cursing. He didn't really want to shoot her..
Managing to run a tad faster than her, he lunged for her arm..
She observed the newcomers silently from the shadows, These people were certainly not natives. Their clothes made that abundantly clear.
One of them though, Ace from what she could ascertain, seemed oddly familiar. Sadness seemed to boil in her hear... She quickly clamped down on the emotion as best she could.
"I should go." The girl muttered to herself as she rose. Reaching into her cloak She pulled out three gold coins and placed them on the table. There value far exceeded the amount owed.
Not giving it a second thought she headed out into the open air. This town was simply another dead end. Still Sakura was sure of one thing.
She would find her past. Of that she was certain. Raising her right arm she gazed upon the mirror like surface of the *golden cylinder*. Certain that no one would follow her she lowered her arm so that it was hidden once again beneath her cloak.
With that she walked forward. Unknowingly heading in the direction that would inevitably cross the path of the one named Ace.

Yamiko sharply turned around, and her bag accidently swung around and slammed Carthrat in the face.
She looked at Ryder and asked, "Umm... would you know where I could find these people?" She then showed a hologram of the 4 Keril gave her.
Ryder looked at Yamiko and then at the hologram... showing himself and the guys. With a hint of panic in his voice, he replied, "Nope... never seen those 4 in my life!"
He then began to move away towards Kwok, Angela, and Ace... grabbing 'Rat and slinging him over his shoulder.
Sakura pressed onward doing her best to shut out the *noise* which seemed to permeate the area. As the town's entrance came ever closer her expression grew solemn.
In Spira there was no guarantee that any friends one made would be alive long. She had long since given up trying. Too many people she cared for had been killed by the one called Sin. Friends were a liability anyways.
Far too willing to sacrifice each other for a supposed peace that would fall to ruin inevitably. The fools!
In the end it did not matter to her... nothing mattered but her past...

"Why do I have funny feeling that someone is talking about us?" He wondered out loud. "Must be Ryder and his buddy, whatshisname." Ace sneezed.
Ace was taking deep, steady breaths as he massaged is wrist, trying to relieve the pain from the bracelet. The icy cold magic didn't numb his wrist, but instead intensify the feeling of being empty, like it was decreasing the temperature to freeze his resurfacing memories.
Wouldn't it be so much easier just to rip the bracelet off and be done with the damn thing? Or was what it kept him from remembering that terrible?
"Do you two know anything about this world? I have a feeling we'll be here a long, long time."
"Me?" Kwok asked rhetorically. "Nope. I only know as much as you do. You came the same time I did, remember?"
"What about you, Angela?" he asked, turning to the nearby goddess. "Know anything about this universe?"
"Ow."
Carthrat couldn't really say much else with a bag in his face. Then-
"Hey! Lemme go! This is a DESIGNER jacket!"
A short scuffle later, the two were in front of Ace, Kwok and Angela.
"There's some chick scoping for us over there," 'Rat said to Kwok. "And.. er, who are you?" he asked Angela, raising an eyebrow.
Sakura leapt over the group that stood in her path and continued on her way. Asking them to move was simply a waste of time she could not afford.
Finally Sakura came to the entrance. Raising her right arm she peered once again into the mirrorlike surface. Certain that no one was intentionally following her she stepped out of the City and began walking with no destination in mind.

"Angela Kietsu... Goddess of Protection, 2nd Class Unlimited." Angela stated simply.
Turning to Kwok, she replied, "Oh, we're in some video game universe. I knew I should have read up before I followed you here..."
"Well! Well! Well!" A nasally voice spoke. One Sakura recognized instantly. "Yevon be praised!"
"Maester Meros!" Sakura ground out hatefully. Maester Meros stood there dressed in full regalia backed up by a group of Crusaders lined up behind them.
"Yes I'm sure." Meros spoke softly to himself. "Today will truly be a good day!" Turning to his troops Meros spoke.
"My Brothers in Yevon!" Meros spoke aloud. "This is the girl that Yevon has chosen for me!" Gesturing to Sakura.
"Alas she is also a Heretic and must be cleansed!" Meros voice filled with disgust as he continued. "However all efforts have failed so far... I am left with but one option..."
Sakura's eyes narrowed suspiciously.
"I DECLARE THE TOWN MY BELOVED HAS JUST DEPARTED TO BE A TOWN OF HERETICS!!" Maester Meros spoke aloud. "DESTROY IT!!!"
"NO YOU CAN"T!!!!!!" Sakura screamed as she ran forward ready to draw her Sabre. Unfortunately...
"SUBDUE HER!!!" Maester Meros ordered. Sakura had no time to prepare as several Crusaders jumped on her at once and restrained her.
"Watch my Beloved." Meros said as he walked up and caressed Sakura's face. "Behold the dark fate of those who defy Yevon." Sakura simply spit in his face and glared hatefully as she struggled desparately to remove the chains she had been bound with.
"Such magnificent energy... Our Wedding night will truly be exciting." Meros laughed loud and long. A sound that filled all who heard it with dread.

Ace saw the shadow appear above them disapear and the figure land. He couldn't make out a distinct face though, the person was facing away from them. Something about that person...he thought wasn't quite right. It sent a chill down his spine.
"Who was that?" He asked himself silently. Glancing back over his shoulder, he saw that everyone else had come. He looked forward. The path branched out into two way: the way the stranger took and the way to nowhere. A part of him was pleading to ignore the chance occurrence and keep going, the other, and larger
more influential part of him demanded that he followed.
Looking over his shoulder again, he saw that they weren't making much progress in their conversation.
"They aren't going to miss me if I'm gone for a little bit," he thought, slipping away, silent among the many voices.
After a few minutes, there was a great deal of noise emanating from a city.
"What's going on there? A party? Well they sure are damn loud to be having a party," he thought as he strode past the gate.
"Video game universe?" Kwok's eyes widened. "The hell?"
"If you didn't read up on it, do you know at least which game it is then?" he continued, not noticing Ace's silent departure.
Sakura kept her face expressionless but inside she was boiling over in rage. Meros would PAY! Of that she would be certain. As she looked on helplessly she noticed a young man, no more than fourteen at most, run up to Meros.
"Maester Meros! The men found an Orphanage fillled with young children... We were wonder." The boy got no further as Meros slapped him with enough force to knock him to the ground.
Meros glared hatefully as he stomped down on the Boy's side. "Why must I be surrounded by blithering idiots?" Meros asked dramatically as he spread his arms wide.
"S... Sir?" The Boy asked as he struggled to his feet only to be struck down again. The Boy stared up in shock.
"Did I tell you to get up Brat?" The Boy merely shook his head. Meros growled slightly than quickly brought his emotions under control. "Listen up Boy because I'm only going to say this once." Meros knelt so that he was eye to eye with the Boy.
"The People in that town, every single worthless Heretic hiding in Human flesh.... KILL THEM!!!!!!" Meros screamed at the Boy. "Young, Old, Sick, and Healthy it does not matter! I WANT THEM ALL DEAD!!!!!" Meros then kicked the boy down the hill they were standing on.
"NOW GET GOING!!!" Meros ordered.
"You disgust me!" Sakura ground out. Meros simply smiled and kissed her roughly on the mouth.

Ace watched people running around, some in terror, and some with fanatical religious zeal, from his spot leaning against a building. He calmly stuck his foot out, neatly tripping a nearby soldier holding a torch who was gasping in pain. The poor kid didn't even look old enough to drink yet.
"Wha?" he sputtered. Ace crouched beside him and held his energy kodachi to the man's throat.
"Pardon me, but do you mind telling me just what the hell is going on in this town? From the looks of it, this isn't a party," He said.
"T-the lord decreed that this city be destroyed," he stammered. "It is full of heretics and must be cleansed, he said. I was ordered to tell the others to kill everyone." He cringed and tried to shuffled away from the blade. Ace kept it a steady distance from the boy's throat as he continued.
"And just who IS your lord?"
"M-maester Meros! There!" The man pointed to a hill not too far away, where Ace could make out several figures.
"..." Ace didn't know what to say, except to glare at the youth, who cringed and slid back some more to avoid his gaze.
"Get out of here, now," He said frostily. "If I don't see you running towards the exit, I'll make sure you never do."
The youth nodded and ran as fast as his legs could carry him.
"So he's there, is he?" Ace said to himself as he headed toward the hill. "I always did have a soft spot for innocent victims."
Maester Meros pushed his tongue inside of Sakura's mouth. Sakura's response made her opinion of the action abundantly clear. Biting down hard on the intruding organ she smiled cruelly as Meros screamed in pain and pulled away.
Meros vengeance was swift and brutal. "ou thtupid thitch!" Meros snarled as he slapped his *Beloved* with enough force to send her flying over the hills edge.
Meros snorted derisively before turning his attention to other matters.

"Hey, you. Yeah, the one who just slapped that person I followed into this town. What the hell do you think you're doing? Do you get some sick twisted pleasure out of killing people, or this just some childish fantasy that you've always had that you delude yourself into thinking is the right thing to do?"
Ace unsheathed both his blades and stared at Maester Meros with a slightly irritated look.
"And dammit, because of you I'm going to have to climb down his hill again to find that person," he muttered.
"Well, I did glance at the universe name... some Fantasy or whatever. I was in a rush you know..." Angela said while pouting slightly...
Keril Palazzo calmly sat in his nice, relaxing pool, when troubling signals flared in the distance...
Taking time to grab a towel, Keril pressed a button on his watch, bringing up the smiling picture of Yamiko... "Listen Yamiko, about your current assignment... For the moment, put it on the backburner as some people would say. There is a town up ahead, as you can see. I want you to save it..."
"Save it Lord Keril-sama?" Yamiko questioned...
"Yes, I want you to save the town. Helping those in distress will give BESIDE a good reputation among the people, making it much easier for them to accept the grand unification..." Keril boldly stated while running his fingers through his very nice hair.
"YAMIKO WILL BLINDLY OBEY LORD KERIL'S ORDERS!" Yamiko proclaimed as she marched to her destination.
"Such wasteful enthusiasum..." Keril said with a heavy sigh as he cut the transmission.
"Fine, fine..." Kwok relented. "You don't have to pull that face on me... it's probably one of the Final Fantasy games..."
"Hey, waitaminute..." he said after looking around. "Where'd Ace go?"
"Who knows? Right now, though, we have a chick to tail," Carthrat said, pointing at Yamiko. "She was scoping us before, so we may as well follow her and see where she goes. Besides, I'm sure Ace can take care of himself."
Carthrat sneaked off after Yamiko, not caring if the others didn't follow him.
"Ooo..." Kwok looked into the direction of Yamiko, speaking in a monotone zombie-like voice. "Cute girl... follow..."
He began to follow Carthrat, but with a different goal in mind: find the cute girl.
And promptly was grabbed by the collar by Angela, who said in an uncharacteristicley deep, demonic-sounding voice, "And where... do you think you're going?"
"Sick twisted pleasure you say?" Meros asked dramatically. "Is it my fault that the citizens of this..." Meros gestured towards the town his men were attacking. "...quiet hamlet refuse to repent?" Meros than smiled cruelly and laughed loud and long.
"You know what?" Meros began to brightly and scream as energy filled his being. "I DON'T CARE!!!!" The glow faded leaving behind a demonic monstrosity.
"BEHOLD HEATHEN!!! GAZE UPON THE BLESSING OF YEVON AND DESPAIR!!!" Fanatic Meros' voice boomed.
"Now... DIE!!" Without wasting a second Meros' clawed hand shot out in an attempt to take out Ace's head.
At approximately the same time...
Sakura lay upon the hills side unseeing and uncaring. More people had died because of her. "I was such a fool!" Sakura thought angrily to herself as she thought back on all the Villages that had been destroyed in Meros obssessed pursuit of her.
The World was led to believe that Sin had attacked the earlier Villages that Meros obsession had laid waste to. Sakura was left with little doubt as to why no challenge was made of the reports.
An attack by Sin, as nightmarish as it was, was bearable compared to the endless scorn one received from being labeled a Heretic.
In the end it was a simple choice. Running had been futile and now another Village was being annihilated and this one would not have the mercy that victims of Sin were blessed with.
They would receive no help. Such was the fate of Heretics.

IC:Ace sliced upward with the kodachi in his left hand to knock the hand towards the sky as he ran towards Meros with the blade in his right.
"Heathen! HEATHEN?! I never ASKED to be a part of your religion, you sick freak!" Ace shouted. "You better damn well care, because their blood is on YOUR hands!"
He ran past past Meros, slashing him through his neck as he past, then pivoted on his foot, turning 180 degrees while he reversed his grip on the blade and slammed the blade into Meros' backbone.
OOC: SoulTaker isn't from FFX. It's from the thirteen episode series being released by Pioneer. Just picture a humanoid batdemon and you get a pretty good idea of what he looks like.
IC: "Impo... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" Fanatic Meros screamed as streams of energy began to flow from his body. More and more flowed away until nothing was left of the body.

Finished, he stood up and spotted the hooded figure.
"Hey, you alright?" He called out, sliding down the hill. As he moved closer, he felt a growing sense of...what, dread?
As he untied the bindings, he couldn't help himself as he tried to move the hood aside to get a better view of her face...
Kwok paled and sweatdropped as the demonic tone of Angela's normally melodic voice reached his ears.
"Umm..." his thoughts raced as he tried to think up an excuse. "To... investigate... of course... like Carthrat's doing..."
Sakura did not respond. She simply lay there unseeing.

Ace shook his head as he drew back. It was rude of him to do something like that. Especially to someone out cold. Maybe there was a reason she was hiding her face or something. Instead, he finished removing the chains that bound her and, thinking she was out cold, picked her up and carried her over his shoulder.
"Why am I doing this? "Where thel hell am I going? What am I doing?"" He asked himself, resisting the urge to walk up to the nearest stone structure and slam his head into the wall.
"I don't know, Spira, and you're carrying me." Sakura muttered sleepily having been awoken mere minutes into her impromptu ride. "Now be quiet... sleep...." Sakura trailed off as she quickly succumbed once again to the Sandman's spell.

Ace really wanted to smash his head into the wall after that. His face had turned a scarlet red at her words. Instead, though, he kept walking. He couldn't help but wonder again who it was that he was carrying over his shoulder.
Spira? Is that where they were? Ace pondered this as he wandered around town, knocking religious zealots unconscious as he passed with a blue chain whip.
Oh well. The girl sounded cute, and Ace certainly didn't mind carrying cute ladies around. Not to mention she had a nice, curvy figure that her clothes failed to hide...
He shook his head and tried to dispel such thoughts, but failed miserably.
Yamiko walked through the town, noting the burning bodies on the ground. From her communicator, Keril's voice rung out, "Such a waste... see Yamiko, this is the corruption and war the masses must live with..."
"Which is why Lord Keril-sama should rule all of them!" Yamiko shouted out, somewhat ruining the moment...
"Yes Yamiko, that is why BESIDE must unite the people... but first, perform the last rites on these people, please..." Keril asked, with an uncharacteristic somber tone to his voice...
Yamiko nodded and began to spin, waving her arms in a unique, beautiful pattern...
Angela looked at Kwok, with an angry highlight to her beautiful face, and replied, "I don't believe you... You have that same look on your face that you had when you would go after my counterpart..."
Ryder looked at the pair arguing, and interrupted, "Listen, I doubt this is the time for a lover's spat. We lost Ace and Rat..."
With that, he started off in the direction of the billowing smoke...
"Masaka..."
Carthrat gave up trailing Yamiko secretly and just... stared.
He bent down to look at a corpse, and muttered to himself,
"Is it that people enjoy dying, or that people enjoy killing? Or both..."
Standing up, he raised his voice. "Is there anyone here left alive?"
Ace stepped out of the dust clouds still carying the silent girl and looked at Rat.
"...This town is still under attack," he said simply. "Need I say more?"
Ace turned around and walked back towards the inside of the town. Whether Carthrat wanted to help save those who still lived or not was up to him.
Carthrat walked after Ace.

Kwok sweatdropped.
"Yeah, what Ryder said!" he said hurriedly, avoiding Angela's accusation completely. "We have to find Ace and Carthrat! And that girl!"
"... to tail her, of course..." he added a second later.
Yamiko stopped waving her arms and looked towards the approaching Cardinals...
"I'm sorry, but for the glory of Lord Keril Palazzo, you're going to have to die now! Just think of it as being bitten by a stray dog!" Yamiko cheerfully stated as a set of bluish green energy lances shot out from the space behind her and headed towards the Cardinals.
Meros' Soldiers chanted as they performed Yevon's decree with a smile. It went a little something like this...

Ace blinked. Then it was all over.
There were cries and shouts and screams of people in their death throes in the distance. Then it was silent.
"Hey Rat, anyone else coming or is it just us?" He called back. "Ah, scratch that. Kwok and his girlfriend probably need some alone time, huh? Is Ryder coming?"
He shifted the girl over his shoulder's weight to his other shoulder. He realized that if Kwok saw him carrying a girl over his shoulder he would never let Ace live it down, which is why he remembered with relief that Kwok probably wouldn't be coming anytime soon.
Carthrat shrugged.
"Kwok's girlfriend was about to beat the crap out of him last I saw, and I figure Ryder will follow pretty quickly. Right now, I'm more interested in that girl."
So saying, he walked straight up to Yamiko and tapped her on the shoulder.
"Yo. What brings you here?"
Kwok came up behind Ace.
"Who're you carrying on your shoulder, bro?" he asked. "Finally getting a girl?"
After asking the question, he stood there and pretended to wait for an answer from Ace, but he was really paying attention to Yamiko and what she was going to say to answer Carthrat.
Yamiko turned around and accidentally smacked Carthrat in the face...
"HI! MY NAME IS YAMIKO YAMIKO, OR JUST YAMIKO FOR SHORT! I WORK FOR LORD KERIL-SAMA AND HIS SECRET IDIOLOGICAL SOCIETY OF BESIDE WHICH IS PLOTTING TO CONQUER THE ENTIRE PROVINCE OF MEVA!!!" Yamiko happily exclaimed... then blinked and added, "Wow... so excited that I gave my full entrance..."
Kwok blinked. She was damn enthusiastic... and looked ditzy too...
But hey, it wasn't like Angela was that much better in being non-ditzy... plus, Yamiko Yamiko, or just Yamiko for short, was cute. Very much so.
He mentally smacked himself to detrain his thoughts from how cute the girl was. Angela probably wouldn't be too happy with him if she ever found out what his current thoughts were...
"No Kwok, this is not a girl and your are not seeing me carry her. Its all in your mind," Ace answered sarcastically. "Right now you aren't talking to some weird girl who came outta nowhere and you are actually sleeping between Angela's breasts right now."
Kwok blinked. That was unexpected...
"I am?"
"He grinned. Since I'm dreaming, then I can do THIS!"
Winding his arm back, he punched Ace with a right hook across the face as hard as he could.
With his arm around Sakura's waiste, Ace was left defenseless.
"What, you can't do that when your awake?" Ace replied, cracking his neck and shaking off the pain. "And watch where your punching! You could have hit...the thing on my shoulder that isn't a girl."
Ace kicked Kwok in the leg for good measure.
"Sure I can," Kwok grinned as he lifted a leg up to block the kick. "That was just an excuse to hit you for talking about Angela that way."
"So it's a thing now?" he asked, smirking. "Not a girl?"
Before he finished the word girl, he reached over with lightning speed and tried to draw back the hood on the "thing that isn't a girl".
Ace turned to the side just was quickly and smacked Kwok's wrist away from the hood with his free hand. He saw that coming a mile away.
"Don't you know what personal privacy is man?" He remarked. "Besides, I'm sure you'd put your head on her chest if you could. I can't think of one girl in the world you wouldn't."
"That's not the point," Kwok growled. "I don't think about Angela that way. She has a great body, sure, but it's not why I love her."
"Besides," his expression suddenly went from serious to smirking in 0.1 seconds flat. "You said she's not a girl. And she's out like a light right now. So what do you care?"
"The point is that you'd DO it if the opportunity did come up," Ace replied, laughing.
He quirked an eyebrow. "So only girls get privacy? You seem to think she's a girl anyways."
He suddenly remembered how nice and curvy she was and his mind started to wander...
Shaking his head, he tried to glare at kwok. "Anyways, why do you care? Trying to cheat on your old girlfriend...again?"
"Maybe I will," Kwok glared at Ace. "Or maybe I won't."
"And sure," he grinned. "Cute girls get privacy... after I see how cute she is."
He sent a fist at Ace, trying to nail him in the stomach. "I've never cheated on Angela!"
Carthrat waved off the world domination thing.
"Intersting.. who is this Keril-sama? I think I'd like to meet him. He sounds... intelligent," he replied, wincing a little at the last word.
This time Ace was ready for Kwok's attack and blocked the blow with his palm.
"Sure, you never cheated on her. That explains why you're here and she's not. Why'd you leave her behind if you weren't planning on doing something that most of us would think of as cheating on someone else?"
"And you'll just have to wait until she wakes up to see how cute she is." Ace looked over Kwok's shoulder. "So, is your girlfriend coming or what?"
"Umm..." Kwok sweatdropped. "I thought she would've followed me..."
"And no," he glared at Ace. "I wasn't going to cheat on her!"
"So she IS a girl!" he grinned as he patted Ace on the back in a patronizing way. "You're finally growing up and getting a girl!"
"Yeah, well at least I don't act like some middle aged old pervert who gets his kicks out of feeling up little girls." Ace shook his head and patted Kwok's shoulder in pity. "Don't worry Kwok, someday we'll get you therapy. Lots of therapy."
"If you weren't cheating on her, why'd you ditch her then?"
Sakura slept blissfully upon Ace's shoulder unaware of the *enlightening* debate occuring around her.

"Hey lady!" He called to Yakimo, diverting his attention to the weird girl. "You know the guy who did this to the town? Who is he? Who're you? Who's this Keril-sama? Are there any rampant monkeys on the loose on this planet with wings and are about yay high" He raised his hand 4 feet above the ground, "Who like to fly around probing indiscriminantly?"
"I do NOT act like a pervert that gropes around groping people!" Kwok growled, beginning to sound genuinely angry as he rudely smacked Ace's hand off his shoulder. "And no, I don't have any smelling salts. Slap her the hell awake or something."

Sakura's eyes snapped open at Kwok's words. Pushing off of Ace's shoulder suddenly with a smile. Spinning thru the air she didn't notice her cloak falling off.
Finally she landed on her knees and got to her feet. "The lot of you are not from this world are you?" Sakura stated without emotion. "Except the obsessed Otaku over there I believe." She added gesturing towards Yamiko.
"Regardless though welcome to the Spiral of Death." Sakura's voice was devoid of emotion.
"So what brings you to this forsaken world?"

"Hell if I know..." Ryder muttered as he walked up... "Jack pushed me through a dimentional gateway... something about finding new venues, and I ended up here."
Kwok nearly wolf-whistled when Sakura's cloak fell off, revealing her stunning beauty for all to see.
"If we get such a pretty guide to kick us into the Spiral of Death," he said, grinning widely. "I don't mind dying."
"If you ever find a way back kill him." Sakura advised as she addressed Ryder. She than walked over to her cloak, putting it back on before turning her attention to Kwok.
"Oh yes! I can lead you to all the worst places!" Sakura smiled cruelly as she addresed him. "I'm sure you'll *love* it!" Sakura than turned her attention to Ace
"I know you..." Sakura trailed off as she walked over to him amd studied Ace with the intensity of an obsessed mad scientist before shrugging nonchalantly. She quickly latched onto his arm.
"Oh well it doesn't matter! I'm Sakura and I'm sleeping with you from now on!" She than unleashed the weapon she loathed to use but *ALWAYS* worked.

Yamiko happily bounced and squeaked, "Yamiko wasn't supposed to tell all of you that! If I show up with all of you, Keril Palazzo will be angry... and I don't want that! I want Keril to be happy and excited!"
"Kwok, you go back and pick up Angela. Don't worry, we're not going anywhere soon... unfortunately..."
Carthrat turned back to Yamiko. "Well... what ARE you going to do, then? Just ask his permission or something. Barring that, I'm sure if you turned up with just one of us, he wouldn't mind nearly as much.."
Carthrat knew he was down to the bullshitting stage, but he somehow doubted Yamiko would tell the difference..
"B-but this is cool right now!" Kwok argued. "I don't wanna leave and go back alone! There're CUTE girls here!"
Carthrat skillfully twisted Kwok's words back at him.
"What? Are you implying your girlfriend isn't cute, Kwok?"

Sakura waited, waited, and waited some more. Finally reaching the end of her patience she released Ace's arm and headed over to Yamiko.

Kwok growled again.

Carthrat cocked an eyebrow.
"Did it occur to you that... Angela might be doing the right thing, and you're in the wrong?"
Kwok's face flushed red.
"But I didn't do anything wrong!"
"Hmm. Perhaps you don't understand."
Carthrat paused for a moment, stroking his chin.
"Let's try this from a different angle. You love Angela, right? And she loves you."
"Since you love each other more than anything else in the world, you would give anything to remain together, right?"
Kwok took a moment to think about the answer.
"Uh... yeah?"
"That's good, then. But, did it occur to you that by chasing after cute girls- call it what it is, Kwok- that you may be causing Angela to belive that you hold others in higher esteem than her? Granted, it might not be true, and you may not see each other as doing anything wrong, but when you do, she gets hurt.
Kwok, I don't know if you can know how much it hurts. How would you feel if Angela started jumping at every handsome guy? And what if, some day, one of those guys jumped back?
I know it might be hard, Kwok, but sooner or later, you'll have to stop chasing girls like that."
A hint of pain flashed across Carthrat's face.
"Trust me on this if nothing else, Kwok- it's better to be sooner than later."
Kwok was opening his mouth to retort when Carthrat's expression differed from the wise-ass guy he used during the conversation, although he couldn't tell what.
"What's with the 'trust me on this thing'?" he asked, smriking. "Did it happen to you?"
"The circumstances were... different, and I was too... let's just say something like this happened to me, and I'd rather it didn't happen to anyone else. It cost me more than losing one person, and.. I've said too much."
Carthrat sighed.
"Just.. don't screw up, ok? To be blunt, I'm a little jealous of you, and I'd rather you didn't fuck it up."
He chuckled.
"I must sound like an old man. I guess I am.. kinda.."
He slapped himself.

"I know..." he sighed, shrugging his shoulders slightly. "I know what can happen. It's a dangerous game. But hey, we're both immortal. I'd love to spend an eternity with her, but it might get awfully boring, so what's a little conflict?"
Carthrat chuckled.
"I forgot that you'll be around long after I'm dead... perhaps things would get dull. After all, compared to you, my life span is compartively insignificant.."
"But Kwok, that's for later. Not for now. I can tell. Right now.. stay close to her. She needs it, and I think you do too. You can always run away... so why run now?"
Kwok shrugged.
"It's something to do," he replied without his usual carefree tone. "It's not like any of us are going anywhere anytime soon, so why not do something?"
"Why not talk to Angela?"
Carthrat chuckled.
"I'm almost tempted to inject myself with a longevity serum, just so I can watch you mess around for the next 1000 years..."
"Because she's not around right now," Kwok grinned widely. "And why not? It's not like any of us are going anywhere. Why not stick around?"
Sakura leapt toward Ace and glomped him. "With me silly!" Sakura kissed him on the cheek before releasing his arm and leaping back towards Yamiko.
"Now where were we... Yes I remember now!" Without any warning Sakura grabbed Yamiko and kissed her with unbridled passion for several seconds before finally releasing her.
"You're cute!" Sakura declared the obvious for all to hear. "I like you!" Sakura than leapt towards Ace and kissed him for several seconds with... well you get the idea.
Finally she released him as a thought occured to her... "You know I still haven't gotten anyone's name... Oh well it's not like it matters."
Meanwhile...
"My Legions!" A man in a really gaudy seventies leisure suit sporting a rainbow died Afro declared. "We shall... WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?" The man screamed as the being called SIN proceeded to annihilate the remaining forces of D.I.S.C.O. from the world.
This would go down in history as SIN's good deed of the millenia.

Kwok growled and idly sent a ki blast at the side of Ace's face.

"I'm Order. Everyone just calls me Ace though. The jealous idiot over there is Kwok. That other guy lecturing Kwok on dating etiquette is Carthrat. No idea who that girl is, but her name's Yamiko."
"Look, I'm flattered you would want to sleep with me but...but...guh.." Ace trailed off, losing his train of thought as he glomped Sakura.
"Ah screw it with self control! You're just too cute!" He cried out, hugging her.
Kwok was about to open his mouth to retort when he finally noticed Ace smacking the ki blast back into his face.
The end result was a ki-bruised face, and flying back 100 feet to impact head-first into a concrete building, going unconscious when the building collapsed on him.
Sakura sighed blissfully. "Order... What a COOL name!" She exclaimed happily as she pulled Ace's head down suddenly and kissed him again.
"Let's work for whoever Yamiko's working for!" Sakura declared as she released Order and clenched her fist as the fires of destiny burned in her eyes...

His eyes glazed over as his mind suddenly came to a complete halt, trying to cope with the extreme kawaii.

Ace put on his mirror shades. If he kept looking at her without some sort of eye protection, he was afraid he'd go blind. He took her hand and grinned.

Carthrat blinked as Kwok fell unconcious next to him.

He looked at Kwok.
"Aww hell... hey, RYDER! Get over here!"
Ryder cautiously walked over, trying to avoid a weirdly twitching Yamiko...
Standing next to Rat, he asked, "What do you want?"
Yamiko began twitching as Sakura kissed her, so she missed the conversation between Ace and her... However, as Ace folded under the pressure of kawaii, Yamiko screamed as if Hitler had returned from the dead.
"MY FIRST KISS WAS STOLEN BY A GIRL!!! THAT WAS RESERVED FOR LORE KERIL PALAZZO-SAMA!!!!" she shouted as the energy globes began to reform behind her...
Carthrat glanced over at Yamiko and raised an eyebrow, but turned back to Ryder.
"To plan our next moves. I think that hanging around.. Ace might be a bad idea, so if we're going to go the same way he is, it might be an idea to keep our distance..
At any rate, I think we'll need to follow that chick and figure out what the hell is going on here, but I'd rather do it my way than his way.
Basically, I'm saying we find out who she works for and where he is, then try and get to him before they do. With any luck, we'll stop them screwing up this entire planet, and I'll be able to figure out a way to get us home.
Whaddya say? I know it's vauge, but it's all I have to work with.."
Kwok sat up from the rubble, shaking his head. "What hit me...?"
He blinked after a few short moments, as he began to take notice of the surroundings.
"What?" he uttered. "Where am I? Where's this place? WHO am I?"
He pulled crazily at his hair. "I can't remember who I am!!"

The wall broke, and Carthrat nodded to himself.
"If his memory hasn't come back after that, I'll have to perform surgery on him.. without a surgical clinic, that may be difficult."

IC: Kwok didn't even make a sound as he was rammed head-first through the concrete wall.
Holding his head in pain, he looked at Carthrat with wide, frightened eyes. "Who are you? Why are you doing this to me?"

Carthrat stared at his hand like he'd never seen it before, then look at Kwok.
"Damn, man.. I'm sorry.. I thought you were faking the amnesia or something.."

Ace started to sweat as he watched Sakura slowly manipulate Yamiko. Damn, she was good. His brain wasn't mushed up so much that he didn't know what was going on, and it was starting to scare the hell outta him. Something was happening with Kwok, but he couldn't pull his eyes away as he could almost see Yamiko break down and give way right in front of him. It was quite a sight.
"But still..." Yamiko pleaded, before Keril's voice rang out from her radio.
"Yamiko, bring them to me... if they're willing to help the goals of BESIDE that is..."

Ace closed his eyes and rubbed his head. Right now he didn't know whether to be afraid or to ignore rational thought. The sheer amount of kawaiiness that she was pouring out was starting to hurt his head. The glasses helped though. He hoped that that attack of hers wouldn't be used so frivolously; it could cause some serious damage. At the least, not use it against him so much.
"Sure, sure...if that's what Sakura's going to do then I'll help her do it I guess."

"ARGH!" he resisted the urge to headbutt some of the concrete rubble around him. "This is so frustrating! Who am I?! Who is she?!"

"I can't explain your entire personality to you in a few mintues! You'll have to find it for yourself. And the best way to do that is to start seeing things that you used to once know...

Kwok paused to consider Carthrat's offer. Since he seems to have lost his memories, it would be good to protect himself against the... decidedly weird lot. But his would-be instructor was probably one of the weirdest of the lot. Plus with his violent slam-amnesiacs-through-walls attitude, he didn't know if he wanted to learn.
"Nah," he shook his head. "I'll just wait for Angela, whoever she is..."

Ace couldn't tell if Kwok was keeping up an act or if he really lost his memory somehow, but he'd play along anyways. If this WAS an act he was damn good at it.
"As for the girlfriends thing, that is sort of complicated. Only you really knew what happened there."
"A pervert, yes. A player, he tried to, but no," Ace thought to himself with a snicker. "Anyways," He continued, "Your memories will come back in time...I suppose...but whatever. I'm sure Angela will come by at any moment to help remind you..."
He waited a few moments.
"ANY MOMENT!" He called out loudly.
Kwok sighed.
"And now that I've lost my memory, I don't think I'll ever find out... although I'm curious why I have two girlfriends and what they're like..."
"And I don't think Angela is around..."
"Nothing you can do but wait till your memories come back. Just wait till Angela comes to pick you up."
He leaned in close to whisper into Kwok's ear.
"Don't go anywhere alone with Rat. He's, uh, a very dangerous person that you wouldn't want to me in a dark alley."
He stepped back.
"Just give a holler if you need something." And with that he headed back to the deep thinking Yamiko and Sakura.
Kwok nodded.
"I guess I'll tag along with you I guess," he shrugged. "To go see whoever you're seeing... Angela can probably find me... she's supposed to be my girlfriend, afterall."

That's nice! BUT if you're going to *BLAST* the RPG a far better weapon to use is Mazinkaiser. Overkill is far too suttle a term to describe it's sheer might.
Still I prefer Shin Getter Robo. No other Mecha, real or super, can kill with such style.

"Kwok, as soon as you regain your memories, don't remember any of this. Just...forget this day ever happened," He mumbled, tapping Kwok on the shoulder. Ace took his mirror shades into his hands and examined them, cleaning them before returning them to their place on his head. This was going to be a long day.
Fake IC: Kwok tried to kneed Ace in the face as he was slammed into Order, curtesy of Bubbly Sakura, inc.
"Make love, not war," he smirked. "And sick people should go first. It's one of those disability things."
Real IC: Kwok shook his head.

"BAKA!!!!!!" A gigantic being. Such was it's height that only it's feet and some of it's legs were visible. The mallet it brought down upon the squabbling pair shook all of Spira with its mighty strike.
"Wooooaaaaahhhh!" Sakura stared in awe of the Demon Gun. "That was useless!" She then tossed the Demon Gun away without a second thought.

Carthrat rubbed the back of his head. He didn't want to interrupt someone meditating, but the group was pretty much leaving *NOW*, and if he didn't...
Sighing, he tapped Angela on the back a couple times to see if she responded.

Order cringed slightly at Sakura's words.
"What the hell did I get myself into?" He asked himself, feeling very, very cold for a moment. He grabbed Kwok's

"If you are half as afraid as I am of her, I say we make for the hills," He whispered. It was fine if it stopped at this, singing weird songs an all, but he wasn't sure with that girl. What if she took those kinds of things to heart?
Kwok paused for a moment to think about the offer.

"Alright." Order was sort of relieved. Kwok wasn't acting totally unlike himself. Kwok always was one for sadistic weirdness.

Angela seemingly without a thought grabbed Rat's finger and tossed him over her shoulder into the tree... while in her state of meditation.
Rising from the ground, Carthrat brushed himself off.

Pulling out a datapad from his pocket, he quickly typed some info on it, and dropped it Angela's feet.
'Gone to find out about some guy called Keril Pallazo. Tried to wake you but you threw me into a tree. Kwok has amnesia and can't remember you. You might wanna hurry. If you wake up soon, you might catch us before we leave.

Sakura finally bored of waiting punched herself in the stomach and collapsed. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on one's view, her head struck a rock knocking her out cold.

"If you wanna come, bring Kwok will ya?" Ace nodded slightly and walked off. Shi was always good at staying away, so this might take awhile. "Dammit Shi, would it hurt you so much to just once be around when you're needed?" He grumbled.
Angela's eyes shot open as the glow around her subsided...
"I sense a disturbance in the... wait, that's just my stomach! Silly me!" she remarked as she took a look down at Rez's note...

Just to stop abruptly when he noticed a black object on the ground. Picking the object up, he examined it closely. It looked familiar, but he couldn't quite place it...

With that in mind, he put the gun in his jacket pocket, unconsciously cocking the 9mm pistol before doing so.

The 9mm, which Kwok had stupidly cocked, went off.
It might not have, were Carthrat in the habit of actually using the safety. After all, the gun wouldn't go off in his N-space cloak...
Kwok now had a 9mm hole in his arm.

Carthrat spun around and stared at Kwok's arm, which was bleeding.
"You. Fucking. Moron."
"AH!!" Kwokl screamed in pain as the gun misfired. "What was that?!"
He stared at his bleeding arm in disbelief.
"Oh great," he muttered. "I forgot that it's a gun and guns tend to misfire after being cocked. I HATE amnesia..."
Carthrat stomped over, and pulled the gun out of Kwok's pocket.
"This is a 9mm. When you shove it in your pocket, you DON'T cock it. Are you stupid or something? And look, you're bleeding all over me."
Carthrat sighed, and pulled out a syringe. "This'll only take a sec... fucking moron. I only have a few anesthetics..."
"I didn't even remember it was a gun!" Kwok yelled at Carthrat. "How was I supposed to know I'm not supposed to cock it?"
Carthrat snorted.
"If you don't know what it is, ask someone." Then he injected the syringe, and Kwok stopped noticing stuff.
A couple minutes later, he awoke, with a bandage tied around his arm.
"Here you go. Have a look at the bullet you managed to stick in yourself." Carthrat tossed the bullet, now clean, into Kwok's hands.
"Baka... your girlfriend is gonna KILL me... I'm starting to wonder if your family really DID inbreed..."
Kwok grabbed the bullet out of the air and looked at it.
"Thanks man," he said. "I wouldn't want this stuck in my arm."
"Why would Angela hurt you? Is she violent or something?"
"No. She's madly in love with you. Seeing as how I'm the only one who might shoot you, I'm sure she'll jump to the wrong conclusion and start hurting me.
Dammit, I wish I'd brought the Hou'ou-ken..."

"And what's the Hou'ou-ken or whatever it is?"
Carthrat shrugged.
"Well, I think she is. I could be wrong."
A wistful look came over his eyes when Kwok mentioned the Hou'ou-ken.
"It's a broadsword... it's handle and blade are hot enough to melt lead just by touching it... it trails flames when I swing it.
I found it ages ago... heh. When I found it, I guess I was looking for something else. It's funny.
It's at home, now. I don't usually take it with me.. but I think I might have needed it in this world.
Pity I didn't count on it.."
Kwok shrugged. "No telling if she is or not until I meet her... again... I guess..."
"It sounds like a pretty cool sword," he nodded. "I wanna try it someday."
Carthrat laughed out loud.
"You wouldn't be able to lift it. The hilt is incredibly hot, like the heart of a phoenix. I can lift it, but then again, I'm.. er... special."
Kwok shrugged. "I guess not then... I was hoping to try it too..."
"What makes YOU so special?" he questioned. "Why can you lift it?"
"That... is for me to know and you to, maybe, find out," replied Carthrat, smirking.
"We're going! Come on, moron boy. Ace! Wait up!"
Kwok growled and threw a punch at Rat.
"I'm NOT a moron!"
Carthrat wasn't a martial artist by nature. He was a brawler, a street fighter, and a regular pub patron.
Easily enough to take out Kwok in his current state.
Instead of simply letting the punch hit him (where it would take no effect), he move to the side, grabbed Kwok's wrist, and shoved his elbow up. HARD.
There was an audiable crack.
"Honestly. I patch up your wound and am going to get beaten up by your girlfriend later anyway, and you ATTACK me?
You really ARE a moron."
"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!" Kwok screamed in pain as his arm was broken in two. Raising other arm in an effort to ward off the pain slightly, he instinctively released a ki-blast point blank at Carthrat's face.
"Gah!"
Carthrat stumbled back a couple steps, and when he recovered, raised an eyebrow.
"I'll give you a chance to back down. Not that I wouldn't mind kicking your ass, but we've got other stuff to do."
"You're the one that started it!" Kwok accused. "I didn't start this, so YOU back down!"
Carthrat shrugged. "Whatever."
Kwok shook his head in disgust. Carthrat was SO immature...
"So are we gonna go or what?"
"Ask Ace."
Kwok turned to Ace. "Hey Ace, are we gonna go? WHERE are we gonna go?"
Sakura slowly rose from her slumber. Noticing where she was at, i.e. over Order's shoulder, she acted with all due haste. Repelling off of his shoulder without warning.
"Who in the hell are you?" Sakura demanded as she touched ground and reached for her sabre only to find it missing. "Damn that Genki Bitch!" Sakura then glared at the group. "Whatever *SHE* promised forget it!"

Order stopped walking and blinked. He'd been ignoring Rat and Kwok for awhile, as he didn't really feel like kicking Kwok's ass when Kwok didn't even know who he was. He blinked at Sakura.
His bracelet gave a pulse of light. He twitched, but ignored it. It didn't mean anything to him. Still, he almost, *almost* had the impression that he knew her from before.
"Well, I guess that doesn't mean she's gonna sleep with me," he thought, grimacing. "Dammit, why does EVERYONE have to lose their memories?"
"Y-..._she_ didn't promise us anything, really. All she wanted was to travel with us," Order stated, holding his hands out in a placating manner. He wasn't going to see Shi for a long, long time. The young aspect ignored Kwok as well. "Who we are isn't really important. Just some lost wanderers who are trying to find this idiot's memory." He jerked a thumb at Kwok before continuing. "And you are, if you don't mind my asking?"
Shi skimmed over the landscape, flying a foot above the ground. Bugs slammed into a shield to keep them from hitting his face. The wind was refreshing.
"Hm... the genki one... gone. But Kwok has not returned to my senses..." He flew thru a field of rather tall grass, making sure to use his flight to create a dramatic wave in the green growths.
"I must hurry... something is going on." Shi flew faster, leaving a sonic boom in his wake.
"Shi's coming," He thought. Ace broke his train of thought for one moment to look up at the sky. "Wonder why he's in such a hurry?"
Then he promptly forgot about it and turned his attention back to Sakura.
Shi suddenly wondered why exactly he was flying. "Hold on, I can teleport. Bugger this then." And so he did. He was engulfed in a black pillar of fire that reached into the sky and vanished.
A bolt of black lightning struck the ground near Ace, and a dome of black flame burst forth from the ground. As the hellfire faded, Shi's form could be seen floating. "Now that was an entrance." he thought. He landed on the ground.
"What the bloody hell is going on here?!"
OOC: Skip you, kwok :p
IC:Ace blinked. "Well, that was fast," he thought.
"Hey Shi. I don't suppose you know any techniques for bringing memory back do you? Hopefully ones that are long and, er, efficient? Kwok here lost his memories."
Ace reached out to tap Kwok on the arm and get his attention.
"Kwok! Help has arrived! Don't worry, Shi here will make it all better..."
"Alternatively, I could do brain surgery on him. I'm *sure* I can fix the problem.."
Lightning crashed behind Carthrat, giving him the spitting image of a mad doctor...
"He lost his memory? Now wonder I couldn't sense him anymore. You likely didn't notice because you're with him, Acey." He thought for a moment. Returning memory? Hold on, he could swear he knew something...
"Let's do this the hard way. Kwok, bro, c'mere! I'll give ya your memory back!" He didn't mention he might also turn Kwok into pudding, or a trout or something. Funny how things work, ne?
IC:"Dammit, don't call me Acey."
"Go for it Shi!" He cheered. "Don't do it, Rat!"
OOC:Besides, seeing Kwok as pudding is so much more *interesting* than seeing brain surgery ^_^
OOC: In regards to Kwok's intellect, the result is the same ^_^
IC: "Awww. Been a while since I got to use my... 'tools'."
Kwok backed away from the strange looking Shi and the mad-doctor Cathrat.
"W-who are you?" he asked, looking directly at Shi.
Shi blinked. Wow, they weren't kidding about the memory loss. "I'm Shi, your brother. The coolest of our large family. I'm gonna get your memory back! No matter what!"
Kwok felt a shudder run up his spine as Shi said he was the "coolest member in the family." He didn't know why, but it happened.
"You can get my memory back? How?"

"What a cold hearted..." Ace sighed and gave up. He should have known it was too good to be true.
"Is there anyone alive who doesn't feel the chill wind of death? One who never sees the end approach?" He asked softly. "We are all doomed to die someday..."
Some times, he just wanted to sit back and curl up with only his memories to soothe his pain. Except that damn bracelet let a gap, he didn't know what the hell to remember.
"Goodbye then...maybe someday we'll meet again," He responded curtly to her back.
Sakura froze as Order's words reached her. His voice... his voice felt so familiar. Where had she heard it before. Such loneliness... NO!
She would keep going. She would walk away from them and forget them. Yes that was what she would do. Yet her legs wouldn't move...
No matter how hard she tried they simply wouldn't move. Finally she rolled her eyes and gave in. What did she have to lose? She'd lost friends before.

Sakura then turned towards the group, dashed towards Order, and grabbed his arm without warning. "I'm sorry!" Sakura exclaimed. "My words were cruel, unwarranted, and I make no excuse for them." Sakura than bowed.
"Anyways let's just start again! My name is Sakura." Sakura introduced herself. "Would you allow me to know yours?" Sakura asked.

"I take no offense at your words. Most likely that fate will come to pass sooner than later," he said closing his eyes self consciously.
He was extremely puzzled. How was he supposed to react to all this? What were his feelings? Decidedly neutral at this point, he kept his voice just that: neutral.
"My apologies, it was rude of me to not introduce my companions. Kwok over there lost his memories, the one with the white hair is Shi, who is currently trying to help Kwok with his memories. Both of them are actually my brothers. Carthrat is that one" he pointed Rat out, "and we have a few more friends who are not currently here. As for me, I'm...Ace."
Ace felt a senes of deja vu as he told her all this. He had refrained from mentioning any Aspect info, figuring that that information was as of now pointless to keep bringing up unless it was for dramatic flair, which he didn't want.
"I shall call you Mr. Ace then." Sakura stated simply. "Oh and there is no reason for you to apologise." Sakura turned and looked towards the horizon before continuing.
"I was the one at fault." Sakura turned towards Ace and smiled gently. "Anyways might I join you for the foreseeable future?" Sakura waited patiently for Ace's answer.

"I...we would appreciate it. Your companionship would be very enjoyable for us. Though how much excitement you would find to your liking is questionable." His neutral expression slipped into a chagrin.
"Me and my companions...have no direction. We have no idea where to go. Can you help us?"
Shi smirked. "Ah, now bro... I could explain how I'm going to return your memory... but you wouldn't understand it. Just c'mere!"
"Whether my presence in your group is a boon or a bane is something only the future can tell." Sakura smiled gently as she walked backwards with her hands behind her head.
Unfortunately she wasn't paying much attention and tripped on a rock sticking out of the ground.
"Ite...." Sakura groaned painfully.

Ace did crack a grin at that her plummet, but he was careful to hide it from Sakura. He stood next to her and offered his hand.
"Would you like some help?" He asked.
He paused only for a second to call out, "Kwok! Just trust your brother and do it already, we don't have all day!"
Kwok hesitated even after Ace and Shi yelled at him. There was something about Shi that just screamed at him to watch out. Like he had an aura of impending death or something.
"What's gonna happen to me?" he asked, still unsure.
"This is taking to long!" Shi jumped forward and grapped Kwok. His hands glowed with mutli-colored light, as he suddenly alter his brother's probability matrix wildly.
"Exposure to the energies of our family should awaken your memories! The chaotic flux is like Kaos' power!"
[ooc-- Ace could have done this himself with an infusion of order or something. As to why Shi didn't use his own power... duh. Killing Kwok wouldn't actually help restore his memories.]
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Kwok screamed as he sunk to his knees, holding his head in pain as his entire life, literally an eternity, of memories rushed into his head in the span of several seconds.
Alone. He was so alone. The Aspect of Space in a family of six, they were all eternal. He dared not to get close to anyone, because he knew that they would eventually die, just like all others. Even though he's constantly surrounded by Creation itself and the bustling lives of everyone, he was still, essentially, and utterly alone.
Until he met her. She was supposed to be just a normal girl scout, but she made a lasting impression on him. All he could think about was her, ever since the first time he met her. They laughed together, and they cried together. Even though he knew that she was just a mortal and would eventually pass away, he couldn't help but devote his heart to her.
There was a gap... and a blank... and all he could remember next was that he was separating from her, and once again wandering around Existance aimlessly.
For only Creation knew how long, he walked alone in the darkness of his heart, shadowed by the memory of the girl scout and their mysterious separation. Then came the goddess.
She was one of the most beautiful people he had ever laid his eyes on. Even though some may consider her to be of the ditzy sort, but he thought no such thing. She was kind, sweet, and utterly captivating. At first, he was afraid to let her know of his curse, afraid that she might reject him because of that. Due to some unforseen circumstances, his curse was revealed. But to his relief, she accepted it openly and without any negative feelings.
But somehow... they separated again, until recently, when they met each other once more. If there was one single moment of his eternal life where he was the happiest, that would be it.
Kwok's eyes rolled into the back of his head as the memory finished, and he collapsed onto the ground in unconsciousness.

He put his hands on her shoulders to help steady her. Grinning weakly, he hid his pain in a cheerful mask.
This could be the last time he ever saw a girl again, so Ace made a decision. Gathering his courage, he opened his mouth.
"Wow, your left leg looks pretty bad. I better carry you," He blurted without thinking.
There was a moment of silence.
"Dammit, that was the lamest pickup line EVER!" He thought.
Fortunately for Mr. Ace the Evil Rock's victim was in too much pain to notice his faux paus. Nodding her head she waited to be picked up a slight blush beginning to form.

Ace smashed his fist into the rock before chucking it off into the distance.
"Die, spawn of evil!"
Then he gently lifted Sakura from the ground, one supporting her back and the other under the crook of her legs. He smiled sheepishly.
"Err, sorry about that. I get carried away sometimes. So where to?"
He looked behind him and saw Shi's handiwork. Kwok was out cold on the ground.
"Is he better now, Shi?" Ace called out. "Or is he still a pervert?"
Shi gave Ace a look. "Hm? I dunno, I was just fixing his memory, not his mental problems. He's still a nutter."
Shi walked over and gave Kwok a kick. "Get up! I pity da foo' who lays down in front of me! 'Cause I kick 'is balls into his throat!"
Kwok sat up with abruptly and screamed.
"ANGELA!!!"
"Oi, mate, wha's with all the shoutin'?! Bloody bugger, shut up!" And then Shi kicked Kwok in the teeth.
Hey, it seemed like a good idea at the time.
Sakura remained silent as she unconscious snuggled closer to the man holding her. For some reason it simply felt right.

Ace felt a blush coming on when she snuggled closer, and he felt a shiver of...what, enjoyment?
And then he remembered who was behind him.
"I don't know them I don't know them I don't know them..." He thought as a sort of mantra.
"Err...Shi, what're ya doing?!" He cried out, pretending to be outraged at Kwok's treatment just for Sakura's sake. "What happens if he loses all his teeth?"
"'e'll have to bloody well gum his food! Or you can chew it for 'im, mate!"
Kwok braced himself as he caught Shi kicking him. Pushing himself up into the air with his arms, he went into a flip to negate the momentum of Shi's kick, then landed back on his feet.
"I'd love to play with ya, Shi," Kwok looked away from Shi and Ace, as if searching for someone. "But I gotta go. Something's wrong. I feel that something's happened to Angela."
"I HAVE to go find her."
He took off running.
"Why that..." Ace muttered inane curses at Kwok.
He felt something wrong as well. He still didn't have a damn clue who Angela really was, a problem he planned to fix soon when Kwok came back. It wasn't her that was bothering him. It was that cursed bracelet around his left wrist. It was starting to pulse again. It was coming stronger now, with more intensity. It was starting to numb his wrist again.
Ace didn't know what the implications of that was, but he had a bad feeling.
He looked down at Sakura again, at her beautiful and calm expression and wondered just why the hell it felt so...familiar, so right to be doing it.
"Shoot. I'm gonna follow that dumbass. He'll probably hurt himself more likely than not."
Sakura gazed at the glowing bracelet on Ace's arm in wonder. "Kirei..." Sakura couldn't help herself as she slowly reached forward to touch it.

Ace's eyes widened in alarm.
"No, don't...!" He tried to say, but it was too late. At her slightest touch, the gem-studded bracelet changed from pulsing to flaring. Ace fell to his knees, his arms slackened and Sakura fell from his nerveless grip.
"AAAUUUGGGHH!!! He screamed. The pain! He couldn't think. Ace ripped the bracelet from his arm in agony. What the consequences of his actions were was about to unfold...
What Kwok had remembered didn't hold a candle to what Ace remembered, which was become the sole reason for the death of the one he cared most about. Sakura.
Ace saw it all clearly, how she rose from theh ground like a marble goddess, the light from the sun illuminating her glow. Her expression was so calm...so sad... It was too late before Ace realized that glow wasn't from the sun. It was her weapon systems overloading...
She died because of him. She died because he had been depressed and spurned her. He saw that same scene over, and over, and over again. He saw it so many times, everything seemingly moving in slow motion, yet everything moving so fast. It was like he had lost her all over again.
Ace screamed again, clutching his head. This was why he had that bracelet! This was why he was so afraid to take it off!
"She's dead, and it's my fault," He sobbed.
"Wait...then what happened after that? How did I get here?" Ace stood up. A glint had appeared in his eyes.
"I must be dreaming. She'd still dead and I'm just unconscious," He thought emotionlessly.
Then his emotions did flare.
"If I'm dreaming...then I don't have to hold back anymore...I can let loose..." Ace laughed darkly, his very sanity slipping from his very grip.
"Yes...I can let loose...no more restraint... no more bullshit with the balance..."
He turned to Shi. He couldn't even see Sakura right in front of him as he walked around her to get to Shi. He gave them a fanged smile.
"Lets play...I've always wanted..."
Shi threw back his head and laughed. "Ah, brother, you do amuse me so! Of course, I'm always ready to play..."
He grinned evilly, not paying attention to Sakura either. He lifted a hand and concentrated. "First... a playground..." The earth beneath their feet begin to tremble...
"Rise!" The ground under Ace and Shi suddenly burst, columns of stone like small mountains lifting them into the sky, which was rapidly turning dark. A blood red moon appeared in the stormy sky above them, and black lightning cracked nearby.
"Dramatic, but one does need a proper atmosphere for these things!"

"Quite, brother. It just wouldn't be the same without."
Ace flicked his hair back and materialized the Void armor. He drew a line of blood across the welt on his wrist, unable to comprehend why he felt no pain from it. It was probably the first time he remembered ever facing off one on one...he relished the feeling.
"Name whatever rules you want, I care not." For his first deathmatch, he wanted it to be good. Still, he was impatient.
Sakura felt nothing as her body hit the ground. Her eyes wide and unseeing. Memories from a lifetime filled her mind. Hopes and regrets. Memories... Some good and some bad.
Then *his* face assaulted her mind.

"I w... won't... g... gi...ve... up." Sakura declared gritting her teeth as she dragged herself forward slowly. Each pull like a million needles being stuck in her leg.

As she ran off to find her beloved, Angela Kietsu never saw the bullet slash into her arm, nor did she see the large man in black robes slam her in the back of the head and lift her onto his shoulder...
Present time, as Shi and Ace square off:
Yamiko Yamiko stood in awe of the massive energies flowing around the two Aspects... Keril-sama had never explained to her this!!!
Of cource, awing can get you in trouble... and Yamiko joined Angela in the clutches of the black robed man.
Unfortunatly, as he attempted to grab Sakura... he got a rail shot into his hand, blasting it streight off...
"I don't think so..." Ryder said while standing in front of Sakura, railgun to his side and guitar strapped around his shoulders...
Sakura was so set on stopping Ace that she had failed to notice his approach. In fact she still did not notice him. The only thing she knew was that someone was in her way...
"P... please move!" Sakura's voice was filled with desperation. "I... I've g... g... got... to st... stop... Ace-k... kun." Another bolt of pain shot thru her left leg forcing her to bite her tongue in a desperate attempt to keep from screaming out.

The black robed man tore off a bit of his robe and painfully wrapped his hand...
Unfortunately Sakura's left leg had other plans. The moment pressure was placed on it she screamed bloody murder as her nerves were completely overloaded.
Sakura fell to her knees and slumped forward face first to the ground. She lay there her eyes open yet unseeing. Unable to do anything as her mind fell into pain induced shock.

OOC: Ryder asked me to RP the black robed man.
IC: The Black robed man eyed Ryder, sizing him up, as he calmly and carefully finished wrapping the stump where his hand used to be.
"You." The black robed man stated. He pointed his finger from his only hand at Ryder. "If you fear the light, you will not stand in my way. Do not interrupt my preparations, for your sins shall not be forgotten once I have received the light."
Ryder calmly aimed his gun at the black robed man and sighed...
"I can't stand religious nuts, all they do is bitch and whine about some celestial being..."
And with that, he fired right at the black robed man's forehead...
The Black robed man, or BRM for short, recoiled, his head snapping backwards. He straightened his back and grimaced in pain at the hole that was several centimeter wide that gaped out of his forehead. It seemed that he didn't think with his brain anymore.
"Such a weapon will never work twice, for Sin is with me!" He shouted. Clenching his fist, he thrust out the stub of his hand. From his forearm shot out a grotesque looking tentacle-like arm that wriggled as if it had its own mind. "He has given me such powers as it is! What he shall bestow upong me when I finish the ritual is without equal!"
And with that said, he charged, out his tentacle arm to bear and cracking it like a whip.
"DUDE!! THAT'S SICK!!!" Ryder screamed as he, with his free hand, sent a plasma blade right at the tenticle...
Oh shit... my gun won't work on him, and I don't trust this guitar that I have.
"How dare you call such a gift sick, you heathen?!" The BRM shouted, twisting his body to avoid the plasma blade. He made it...almost. When he twisted around, the blade caught the joint between his forearm and and upper arm of his human side. Yamiko, who had started to plummet to the ground, was caught and wrapped around the waist with the tentacle arm.
"Such a heretic as yourself cannot COMPREHEND the beauty of such gifts," he commented, gritting his teeth from the pain of losing his other arm. From the other stub of his arm grew, no, more like bubbled a sickly greyish goo that reformed itself into an arm that could only be described as belonging to an ogre. It was 3 times too big for the BRM and 3 times as gross.
"You fight a losing battle. As you continue to remove my humanly body, my heavenly form overtakes what I have lost!"
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU!?!?" Ryder screamed as he holstered his railgun. "I've known some really sick people in my life... especcially in the Omega division... but you're easily the most disgusting creature I've ever seen...
So, it can regenerate everything I cut off... So, I would need to destroy everything at once to kill this batard...
The man spat on the ground.
"I need not bother with you," He sneered. "At your current states of enlightenment, you would surely burn in the hellfires before Sin would ever take notice of you. However, _I_, as his representative on this world full of simple sheep such as you, will give time to notice Sin's full beauty. "
He tightened his grip upon Yamiko and smashed his ogre arm against the ground, picking up a cloud of dust and smoke. When it cleared, he was gone, along with Yamiko. All that was left was her watch, which loosened from the tentacle slime and fell during the fight.

Shi crossed his arms over his chest. "Alright then, dear brother. The rules are thus: Die, and lose. Surrender, and lose. Fall off the column, and lose. No flying to get back on, either. You pick the prize for the winner!"

"The prize...heh. I don't know what you want, but all I want is to know where dreams cease and reality begins. Yes...I want to know from when my life ended in realilty and started in a dream..."
"Knowledge is the prize. The winner chooses what he wishes, and the loser gives whatever knowledge he had on the subject. I can't imagine that you would want any material object I had anyways.
"Prepare yourself!" Ace whipped out his energy chain whip with one hand and a kodachi with the other. His normally bright blue aura darkened until it was so dark it was almost black.
Ace smiled. His smile wasn't one of joy or laughter or even sadness. It said nothing, it was the smile of one who was losing himself.
"Let the games begin..."
"Sounds fair enough!" Shi closed his eyes, then snapped them open. His own aura sprang to life, not visible, but ever-present. His grin was the very opposite of Ace's, one of a terrible joy.
He snapped his fingers, and a deck of cards appeared in his left hand. "Let's go!" He started off with a minor spell, just to get things going. Light gathered in his right palm, and he shoved it out at his brother. A beam of light shone forth, a blinding line of solar power reaching between the two fighters. "Sun Ray!"
OOC: Uh... Rat... the black robed man is gone...
Ace traced a circle in the air with his kodachi, outlined in his aura, and pushed the circle forward.
"Shadow's cloak!" He cried out, and the circle burst into an orb of darkness to envelop himself, to protect against such harmful light.
Spinning the chain whip with his right hand, watching the wind gather around and coat it, Ace brought the weapon to speed before launching it at Shi with the force of the wind.
Shi flicked his wrist, tossing one of the cards in front of him. Surprisingly, it didn't fall, but expanded. "Shield!" The card vanished, but a glowing transparent shield formed in front of him, blocking the whip before fading from view.
He looked across the empty space between them to his brother. A dark sphere appeared and arced towards Ace, then turned into a net as he dropped down. "Shadow Net!"
Kwok sank to his knees in despair.
"I can't find her..." he looked down, muttering to himself. "Where are you, Angela...?"
He started beating his fists relentlessly against the ground until the spot was a clear crimson.
"Angela..." he spoke out, his voice sounding choked.
He felt something enter his mind, the presence of the powers of an Aspect. It altered reality directly, and that was why he could feel it from his position so far away.
There were only two other Aspects in this world beside him. Order and Death.
He looked in front of him again. Angela was still nowhere to be found.
"There's nothing I can do, I guess..."
With a heavy sigh, he turned around and headed back to the direction of Ace and Shi, curious about the activation of the powers.
Ace tightened his grip on the kodachi, watching the crackling energy spark and jump from the blade, and swiped a wide arc above his head as the net came down.
With a snap of his other wrist he brought the chain back and eyed Shi carefully.
He wrapped the chain around his kodachi and jammed the blade into the ground a few feet in front. With that done, he gripped the chain with one hand and fired a surge of burning black energy through it that passed into the ground in an arc at Shi, the focal point coming from the blade.
OOC: Of course he is!

IC: Ace took his eyes off Shi for a moment as he recognized the faint aura of someone else nearby.
"Sakura..." He thought, clenching the chain even tighter.
"Shi, you bastard. That's a dirty trick," He growled. How dare Shi use someone who's dead to his advantage?!
Ace knew this was just a cheap tactic of Shi's to win the match. He knew that the worst possible thing he could do it walk over to her and pick her up. But he'd do it anyways, in remembrance of the dead. He walked over to her and stared.
She really did look like she did back then. And Ace felt the old emotions, the feelings he had hidden away, resurface.
"Damn Shi," he whispered. He'd copied her so well it hurt.
As he watched her, he moved his arms listlessly in a pattern, as if reliving a memory. He moved his hands over her eyelids, and bid her to sleep. He even used his energy to set her ankle on the mend.
But Sakura was dead...Ace knew that. This was nothing but a fake and Shi would pay for this.
[ooc - yeah... umm.. try not to walk off your stone pillar and lose, yeah smartguy? i didn't even understand your last attack very well... we're on seperate columns, how'd you attack me?]
Shi was surrounded by a whirlwind that grabbed the energy of Ace's attack and simply dispersed it. As the winds faded, Shi stared across the gap between them and notice Ace tending to Sakura. 'Now, how'd she get up there?' he thought to himself.
"Time to lose, bro! Mega Windblast!" Shi was outlined suddenly is a bright flare of light; a wave of fire, wind and light blasting forward at Ace. The blast was like the the Sun Ray spell, only much worse. Beam-like, the huge radioactive storm engulfed the entire top of Ace's column of stone, obscuring him and Sakura from view.
OOC: Bleh, you coulda said that. I thought it was one giant one with a bunch of smaller ones. Never played Saga frontier.
IC: When the dust settled and vision returned, Ace's body was hurt beyond recognition. His bloody palms slowly released their grip from the kodachi stuck in the ground as the wind settled. He tore off his Void armor painfully, watching it disapear in the wind. The stuff wouldn't do him anymore good.
Sakura wasn't even touched. Ace couldn't even find a reason why he wasted even more energy protecting HER instead of himself. She wasn't even real.
Ace wiped blood from his lip as he stood up. The pain...was excrutiating, yet he hardly took notice of it.
"Nice shot, but I'm not finished yet."
He held his arms out extended forward. Gritting his teeth, he concentrated. The insane glint in his eye shined its brightest.
"If this fails, I lose. No more, no less."
A small, white flame sprouted from his hands. From that small flame grew black and white spheres that sped to their designated position, which was around Shi's pillar to encircle it.
"Supernova flare!"
The sphere's instantly shot beams of light to each other sphere, creating a criss-cross pattern before erupting into a multitude of explosions.
Again the dust cleared and the things returned to normal. Again an aspect was revealed as injured. Shi stood there, best over and breathing hard. His shirt was gone, his body burned. Blood ran from his mouth.
"Not enough... it's not enough!" He pulled himself straight. Part of his hair was actually gone, burned away by Ace's attack. He floated up a few inches off the ground and held up his arm. The air around his palm began to distort and twist.
"C'mon! You still wanna give up?!"
Ace closed his eyes, drawing every painful breath as if it was his last.
"I'm dreaming. The pain is so real, but this can't be reality. She's dead. She can't be alive. I'll give up...once I shove this blade up your ass."
"Besides, you wouldn't stop even if I did give up..."
Ace reached behind his back and drew his last physical weapon in front. A candy cane.
"...what the hell?" He thought to himself. Wasn't that a kodachi before? And why was Shi's head a kiwi? "Dammit, Shi must be fucking with my mind!"
"Eat this, fruit fucker!" Ace wasn't turning back until he had bashed Shi's candy ass into next year.
Shi could hear Ace mumble soemthing about dreams, pain, and dead people, but ignored it. It didn't make sense. "Fruit fucker?! .. the hell?"
"Screw this... Dark Sphere!" The distortion in Shi's palm suddenly flew forward. The sphere reached the center of Ace's pillar, then exploded with gravitational force. Sand and rocks were blown off the massive stone as the dark sphere unleashed it's energy, trying to simply force Ace to fall.
"A flower blooms the most before it falls... brother, you're in full bloom!"
"Goddammit Shi! Stop changing my stuff into food!" Ace cried out, snapping up his long licorice whip and snapped forward to wrap around Shi. He picked up Sakura, who had changed into a nude marble statue, as well.
"Come on! If I'm going down, you are too!"
Shi blinked as Ace wrapped him in his chain. "Food? What?" Shi thought.
"Damnit, let go!" Shi traced a glowing symbol with his finger, which thankfully was still free. "Freedom Rune!" The chain holding Shi snapped with a crack before he was dragged off his column. "Ha! You're falling! Without flight, you can't save yourself! Allow me to make this a double win with a Fall and a Kill! Overdrive!"
Suddenly, from Shi's point of view, time stopped. Ace froze in midair... and between the two pillars was a clock face, superimposed in the air. "Now... Awakening! Soul Rune! Increase my power!" Shi glowed with light as the Awakening mind spell doubled his power. The green light faded, to be replaced with blue as the Soul Rune he traced in the air did the same.
"Saber, Tower cards!" He threw two cards in the air. Three swords formed around Ace, then all of them flew forward to impale him. At the same time, the ghostly image of a tower appeared over Ace, as lightning and power crackled around him.
"Shadow Servant!" Shi's shadow suddenly took on form, and stood behind his owner. "Vermillion Sand!" A red whirlwind swept up around Ace, like the winds had lifted a tonrado of blood. A second later, Shi's shadow actually repeated the same spell.
"Flashfire!" A explosion of fire and wind as Shi cast a light spell at Ace. Again, the shadow mimiced him. "Vapor Blast!" The Aspect of Death took control of the air, forming it into a spear which he sent at his brother, Order. And once more, his faithful shadow copied him.
Suddenly, the Overdrive spell wore off, and time seemed to leap into action again... and so all eight spells seemed to leap into effect as well.

Ace did nothing but form another shield around Sakura and drop her. Through the attacks.
The body was incinerated, ripped apart, shocked, and everything else imaginable.
But a shadow from behind the pillar leaped out to catch the falling dream, Sakura.
"Who said I couldn't fly?" Ace asked as he watched the clone get utterly destroyed. During Shi's Winblast that was really damn risky to replace his real self with the clone. It might've well been his real self as he gave it almost every ounce of power he had. He had already lost at that moment, when he did that, because he left the column.
He caught Sakura and set her on the ground once he was close enough.
He sighed and collapsed to the ground.
"Well Shi, you won. Killed me too. I hope your happy with your damn double win," He gasped, holding his ribcage. "Now...just let me sleep...let me wake from his dreamm..."
Shi screamed.
"YOU CHEAT!" He exploded with rage, a violent aura springing forth as red and black lightning crackled over his body in minute arcs. The pillar beneath his cracked, then spilt apart into fragments as it blew up. "You stole a true victory from me! Fool! This is no dream! Aaaaaahhh!"
Shi rocketed forward, slamming into the remaining column, which blew apart in his fury. He crashed to the ground next to his brother and glared at him. "You lost the moment you left the pillar, but you tricked me! For that, I'll make you suffer if it takes a thousand years, Order! Know this... this dream girl of yours... will DIE!"
"Wha...?" Sakura asked groggily having been woken suddenly by Shi's scream... Rubbing her eyes as her sleep addled mind tried desperately to figure out what was going on.

Ryder then stood in front of Sakura again and pointed his mini-railgun right at Shi...
I can't win this... but I'll die knowing that I tried...
"Such...pettiness... is unbecoming of you Shi," He coughed. Shi's words lingered in him. Not a dream... It was all real then. Then that meant...!
He shook her shoulder in hopes to snap her out of her daze.
"Sakura... please fine Kwok. That idiot might make things worse, but he has his times."
The world was getting fuzzy. Ace couldn't concentrate. He struggled to keep alert. Rubbing his eyes, Ace wondered how long Ryder could hold Shi off.
"Won't let me? You mean you'll die uselessly making a big show of trying to do something. Worthless! Just lie down and die, maggot!"
Shi exploded into action, instantly moving past Ryder and standing next to Ace and Sakura. His sword was out and swinging before most people could even blink.

Sakura was unable to do anything as the blade sliced thru her skin spraying her blood everywhere. Falling backwards a bright smile lit her face as she died.

IC:Ace couldn't say anything. He couldn't feel anything. It was worse, he remembered again the first time. It wasn't a dream. He couldn't dream anymore; all that was left for him were nightmares. Dreams were for others. It was the opposite of what he thought should happen. Where was the happy ending? The person that comes in at the last moment to save everyone? Why couldn't he have a happy ending just one goddamn time in his fucking life?
"Well Shi, I hope your fucking happy," He whispered vengefully. "You've got your victory. You've caused me pain enough for an eternity. You've done everything you wanted. Now leave me alone...just leave me alone..."
Ace closed his eyes and breathed his last, his aura sluggishly molding back into his lighter blue color an instant before it winked out.
"Dead..."
Ryder gaped as Sakura was sliced in half, and then Ace's submission to Death's call.
"I won't let it end like this... no, it can't..."
Ryder slung off his bass guitar, and swung at Shi's head...
I might die, but at least I did something... Ryder thought as he swung.
[ooc- ironicly, i did not see that coming. and again posting after a day of Kingdom Hearts... good game.]
Shi turned his head to hear Ryder's mumbling, just in time for a guitar to the face. *CRACK* "Ow." A very sore Shi wiped some blood off his lip and stared at Ryder.
"The hell was that for?!"

Sakura's essence hovered unseen above her dead form. An overwhelming sense of dread filled her as she tried desperately to cross to the Far Plane[Sp?].
"WHY WON'T YOU LET ME IN?!!" Sakura's scream went unheard. Sadness and rage began to overtake her. The *Fiend's Call* was drawing her in...
"NO!!" The Far Plane[Sp?] was inaccessible and to remain in her current form risked becoming a Fiend... Only one option was left...
Pire Flies began to coalesce around the area. The streams of multicolored energy streamed together faster and faster until a bright flash exploded forth. Finallly the light faded revealing a second Sakura standing next to her dead *twin*.
"It worked..." Sakura stared in awe at her hands. The cloak she had worn when alive had been done away with and the broken Demon Gun lost.
OOC: For those who don't know... Sakura is now an Unsent. Think of it as a Ghost given Physical Form. There's more to it than that but that's really all you need to know at this time.
Anything else regarding the Unsent will be dealt with when/if it comes up in the RPG.

IC: Ace's body disapeared into the wind, dissolved into a blue dust that blew off into the wind. It was as if he had never been there. Farewell Order, we knew you well.
-meanwhile, in some remote city not too far off-
"Hey, Ace! Get yer lazy ass out here and help we with the chocobos!" The voice rang out from below, stirring the sleeping youth awake.
Ace opened his eyes and yawned. Dammit, what time was it? He looked at his watch.
"What?! I overslept through the whole day!" He cried out. Bolting from his bed, he quickly dressed and ran out, only pausing to grab some bread.
"Dammit Ace, I thought we were a team, here!" Billy asked, glaring at Ace, who was running towards him as he gulped down his breakfast/lunch.
"So sue me, I overslept. Why didn't you wake me up?"
"Because I thought you were capable of getting up ON TIME."
"Whatever." Ace brought out the brushes and started the arduous process of cleaning the giant birds.
It was after a few minutes of monotonous work when Ace suddenly felt a giant weight smack him in the head, knocking him down. It felt like someone pounded his head with a hammer.
"Alright, Billy, what the hell was that for?!" Ace demanded, pulling his face out of the ground. But Billy was nowhere to be seen. And Ace suddenly had a strange sensation in the back of his mind.
"What was that?" He wondered before turning back to the task at hand.
OOC: If there's something wrong with being reborn, please tell me so I can make whatever changes. Haven't gotten a ps2 yet, so haven't played ffx. :p
"That... was for killing the two of..."
Ryder stopped as the Unsent Sakura appeared...
"Uh, well... you did kill Ace..."

"Don't be stupid, my brother can no more 'die' than I can! And the girl was merely a human. Worthless." He looked at Sakura's spirit for a moment, but then looked by to Ryder.
"Anyway, where'd Kwok go?"
"I should seek out a Summoner..." Sakura muttered to herself as she headed in what she hoped would be the oppposite direction of the group.

A quick search had proved fruitless, so Carthrat turned up just in time to reply...
"...he's searching for his girlfriend. Damn, you're a mean bastard."
Kwok came back just after Rat's statement.
"Who's a mean bastard?" he asked. "And where's Ace? I can't sense him here anymore. He was around just five minutes ago..."
Ace had a strange unsettling feeling in his skull as he put away the supplies and equipment. He rubbed his head but couldn't feel out any source of pain or bruises. Who hit him?
"So we have any orders?" He called out to Billy as they finised up work. "We've got a large flock now. If no one buys soon we might be in trouble."
"Fear not, you lazy bum. I just so happened to have picked up an order. A large one too." Billy rubbed his hands at the prospect of money.
"Really now? Who's ordering anyways?"
"A 'Maestro Meros' or something like that. The guy said he'd be at that town nearby. You know."
"Alright. Gimme the directions and I'll take the birds down myself."
"Alright."
"Ace isn't here anymore. I was... forced to show him how weak he is..." Shi idly flicked the blood off his sword and resheathed it.
"What's this about a... 'girlfriend'?"
"I hope this Maestro guy isn't like the last one," Ace thought idly. "Damn, that fool was crazy."
He was on a chocobo, taking an easy ride with a big pack of chocobo's obediently following his lead. Eventually, though, Ace was starting to get bored. He needed something to get his thoughts off the weird tingling in his head.
"Lets liven things up. Hiyah!" He cried out, snapping the reigns around the bird's mouth. The giant bird let out a squawk before speeding forward, the rest of the pack following him behind. "Yeah, this is how its done!" He shouted, revelling at the sight of watching the world speed by.
Kwok sighed.
"Forget about it," he waved it off.
"So what's this about showing Ace how weak he was?"
Shi frowned. "I taught him a lesson. He let himself become weak. And rather foolish. I had to punish him."
He slapped Kwok on the back. "Don't worry, I only killed him, he'll be back."
Kwok blinked.
"Oh that's fine then," he nodded. "His human form should get its memory back soon enough."
"So what's up now?"
"Hey! You idiots! Get off the road!" Ace shouted at the group. "You wanna get run over?" He flicked Shi and Kwok off as he sped by them. The Chocobos kweh'ed angrily as they swerved to the side of the road to avoid collision. Travelers these days.
Funky looking group, too. Dammit, that weird tingling in his head was still there.
Shi glared at the annoying human who drove past. Wait... that guy looked like... hm. He looked at Kwok. "Nice trick. He got reborn before he died. Wanna have some fun?"
Without waiting for an answer, he started running after the chocobos.
"Fun? Sure," he grinned sadistically.
"Why run?"
He tilted his head to the side, and called upon his Aspect powers to violently fling Ace off the chocobos.
Shi stopped and smacked Kwok in the head. "Stop that! He might wake up if we use those powers, and that would ruin our fun early!"
Kwok shrugged.
"Ask me if I care."
Ace fell off the Chocobo and landed on his knee.
"Crap!" He cursed. Pulling out a whistle from his pocket, he blew in it and stopped the chocobos.
"Kwok, you bastard!" He shouted angrily, then blinked. Wait...where did that come from? Who's Kwok?
"I don't have time for this!" He jumped back onto the lead Chocobo's saddle and sped up again.
"Someone's coming." Sakura whispered to herself. Without wasting a second she altered her course and resumed walking.

Ace kept his eyes in front on the road, sure that he'd finish this before the end of the day. Except when he glanced down at the retreating form of a lady. Time seemed to slow down as he passed her.
"Hah, I guess there ARE some travelers around here with some brains," He thought with satisfaction. "That last pair were a couple of real idiots, standing in the middle of the road."
Kwok grinned sadistically. Bastard, huh?
He picked up a rock from the ground and sent it hurling at the back of Ace's head.
Ace leaned forward and let the rock sail over his head harmlessly.

Not very harmlessly, as the rock smacked Ryder, who was walking back from the town carrying supplies...
"Ow! Whatcha do that for!" he shouted before noticing Ace...
"Ace! You're alive man!"
"Arg!" Ace shouted and pulled back tightly on the reigns of the chocobo, who squawked and threw him off face first into the dirt. The chocobo's behind him obediently stopped as well.
Brushing the dirt from his pants, Ace stood up and glared at Ryder.
"Why do all you idiots always stand in the middle of the road?!" He growled.
"And why wouldn't I be alive? You some sort of seer or something?"
Shi beaned Ryder with another rock. Striding oiver swiftly, he then gave him a smack to the head. "Psst! Don't blow it, fool! He's not 'alive', he's reborn!" he whispered.
"If you're looking for Meros don't bother... he's dead." Sakura spoke as she drew near the group. Stopping in front of Ace she smiled and promptly kneed him in the groin without warning.
"Amnesiac fool!" Sakura's raised her hand just in time to catch a staff that flew out of nowhere. "What?!"
"So you're the ones that destroyed Meros?" The mysterious newcomer looked them over. "Perhaps you'll be a dec... URK" The mysterious newcomer wasn't long for this world...
"Go to hell!" A sadistic smile lit her face as she ground her foot into the newcomer's groin causing him to scream out in pain.

"That...was...really...low..." Ace squeaked before falling to his knees in pain.
"Don't tell me that I've gotta deal with a crazy psycho bitch now," He thought with a sinking feeling, her gaze making him cringe in fear.
"My memory is fine. What's with you people?"
"Can't speak for the others here but *pain* can do wonders for amnesia..." Sakura smiled brightly as she leapt towards Ace and kissed him without any warning. "But pleasure is far more effective." Sakura declared as she pulled away.

"My life is over! She must be a succubus or something! That woman's attacking me! The crazy...psycho...huh?"
Ace cut off that line of thought as a trickle of memory came back. Her kiss opened the dam that held his memories back. Then his head reeled back as the rest of his memories came back like a hammer smashing into his face.
"Alright, who's the one who killed me this time?" Ace groaned, getting up and rubbing his head. "Or did Drac come to town and hand out free drinks?"
He fell right back down when he saw who was in front of him.
"S-sakura?!" He gasped. "Shit! She's come to haunt me!"
Carthrat blinked.
"That guy killed you," he said, pointing at Shi, "and you were positively *drooling* over her before..." he mumbled out, wondering how goddamed *flightey* these people were...
Shi casually drew his sword and slipped up behind Ace. Afterall, it wouldn't do to have his brother mad at him... a few more lifetimes, and he'd calm down. Maybe.
"Say g'nite, Gracie." *swing*
"WAI!" Sakura exclaimed as she glomped Ace sending the two of them to the ground in time to avoid Shi's swing. "I'M SO HAPPY!" Sakura's hold tightened.

Shi just sort of blinked at the couple on the ground. "Sometimes... I have bad days. This may be one. No wait, got them BOTH already once, so it evens out."
Shi decides he needs... a really big robot... no wait, where'd that come from? He can beat up giant robots...
"I knew it, I'm doomed," He thought gloomily. "She's gonna kill me...What did I do to deserve this?"
He patted her on the back to get her attention. "You aren't a ghost, are you?" He asked hesitantly, still afraid. "Please tell me you aren't. I don't wanna be haunted by a ghost!"
"Ano... Well if it makes you feel better we can pretend I'm not." Sakura responded gently.

"Then...are you here to haunt me?" He asked hesitantly.

"Yes! She's an evil spirit! Come to haunt you! it's uhh.. Kwok's fault. he summoned an evil spirit that took her form to torment you. Banish it back to hell, Ace!"
"I'm sure you'd know about tormenting me, wouldn't you Shi?" Ace remarked sarcastically. "I might not remember everything yet, but it isn't too hard to remember that you wanted to cause me pain enough for a lifetime."
"But then I killed you, so that WAS a lifetime. There, all done." Shi tapped his chin thoughtfully. "Your attachment to this mortal, brother, is a weakness. I was merely curing you of it."
"Actually Kwok summoned me to annoy you Deathboy... failed at that so I've decided to marry this cutie." Sakura got to her feet and looked around.
Meanwhile...
"I must find them... but I'm so horny... Perhaps a detour thru Planet Brothel... NO!"

And unless someone decides to go kill me again," he said, glaring at Shi, "It'll stay that way. Its better than being alone for an eternity."
He looked up at Sakura, he was momentarily speechless.
"Marry?" He mouthed. "What?"
Ryder stood back and watched the trio bicker... again...
"You know, it's really sad watching them... If they're not killing each other, they argue... I swear, if this is what having a family is like, I'm glad I can't remember them."
As he complained, the watch Ryder picked up from Yamiko started to buzz pager-like...
Kwok blinked at Sakura.
"What? I summoned you? When?"

"FEAR NOT YOUNG MAIDEN!!" Sakura's eyes slowly widened in horror.
"Oh no..." Shaking with terror she screamed even louder than before and glomped Ace with all her might.
"The Hentaijins have come to HELP!" Stepping out in all their perverted glory to begin their intro. They wouldn't get the chance though.

Carthrat walked away, hands in his pockets...

Napalm flew out from a grenade, covering a large portion of Hentaijin's with burning petroleum glue.
They screamed in terrible pain, the agony of scorching heat disfiguring their faces and burining their limbs.
Over the next few minutes, they would burn to death, in agonizing pain every step of the way...
A few would survive, but they would be so horribly scarred that they would probably think it's not worth living anymore..
"You will not destroy US!" The Hentaijin declared as they slowly dissolved into fuschia waves.
"You CAN NOT destroy US!" The waves slowly began to flow into one.
"As long as PERVERSION exists..." Giant hands shot out of the mass.
"As long as FANSERVICE exists..." More of the mass began to solidify into a vaguely humanoid shape adorned with... well... use your imagination.
"WE CAN NEVER DIE!!!" Standing at over three hundred metres in height with more appendages than the Overfiend.
"Behold the Final Evolution of Perversion!" Looking down at the group the Giant smiled lecherously.
"Now who's first?"

"Crap..." This was definitely not the best time to be getting his memories back. Especially when he didn't have his powers to back them up.
Ace hopped on his chocobo, which was backing away in terror, and held the reigns tightly.
"You going to fight it or what?" He asked them nervously. "If not I got our rides right here." He gestured towards the other chocobos.
"You guys go ahead," Kwok smiled a strange smile at Ace. "I'm feeling suicidal."
Turning to the giant Hentaijin, he looked up, all three hundred metres up, and looked at the... thing square in the eyes.
"Come get some."
His body was suddenly ablazed with a black aura, blacker than the darkest night, deeper than the deepest abyss. With no gestures to indicate any movement, he silently floated upwards to meet the colossus at eye level.
"From the silence of Space, I call upon my power," he chanted, and his pitch-black aura expanded with it. "The power to create... and destroy. The power to crush beyond belief. Crush all hopes, mangle all opposition and destroy all forces."
He closed his eyes as the aura concentrated, condensing around his body like a black hole.
Without forewarning, he began to fly head-first towards the giant contraption of perversion. As their heads made contact, the aura that surrounded him expanded to envelope both him and the giant, and quickly collapsed into a small black hole, swallowing both combatants in.
As they both disappeared from the visible world, the time-space oscillation black hole began its work. It began to scramble and then disintegrate every single atomic molecule and subatomic particle present in both parties while simultaneously erasing their existences from the ever-flowing stream of time.
The small black hole soon blinked out of existence, signalling the end of its work, and the end of Kwok.
OOC: Kamikaze attack. Whether the Hentaijin lives or not is up to you ^_^

Ryder stumbled through the dust and smoke of Kwok's kamikaze aftermatch... Small hentaijin parts littered the ground, and the area looked like a war zone...
"Kwok... not you too..." he muttered...
"Yes him too...." A choir of malicious voices called out in response. "...and what a truly worthless gesture!" Snickering the remains began to flow together and remerge.
Sakura's eyes went wide with disbelief as the Hentaijin's new form solidified. Pulling a mask out of nowhere and placing it on it's face the Nightmare smiled.
"Tuxboy has returned!" The creature declared. "Now to find the *Moon Princess*." Surveying the area it quickly locked eyes on Sakura.
"You'll do quite nicely!" Sakura wasted no time fleeing as horror gripped her... or at least she tried to.
"Yare Yare!" Tuxboy smiled lecherously as he appeared in front of Sakura near instantaneously. "Tis not right for the *Moon Princess* to flee from her *love*." Several tentacles emerged from Tuxboy and shot towards Sakura.
There was no escape.
The tentacles wrapped around Sakura and pulled her towards *Tuxboy*. "Now how about a kiss for your one *true* love?" Pressing it's face against Sakura's who struggled futilely to escape.

And *Tuxboy* was therefore slammed by Ryder, with the Rickenbacker Bass in the face... *Tuxboy* slammed into the nearby cliff face, and Ryder stood ready to deliver another blow...
"Don't Touch Her!" he demanded while stepping in front of Sakura.
"Hmph. Kwok, you loser. Anyway, what is with this recent obsession everyone has with a dead girl? I didn't think necrophilia was this widespread."
"Just because you like doing dead chicks doesn't mean that everyone does, Shi. Besides, she looks pretty alive to me."
Ace wondered when Kwok would come back. To die now...what was he thinking?
"And me without my powers," he lamented.
"CURSE YOU RICKENBACKER AND YOUR QUALITY WORK!!!" And with that *Tuxboy's* life came to an end. Meanwhile...
"Well you know what they say..." Sakura began as she merrily skipped past Ace and Shi. "...Your only as *dead* as you feel."

IC: A pretty, black haired girl walked in solitude, looking around her surroundings. She looked to be about 18, and had her long, jet-black hair tied back in a braid hanging about her back. If one were to pay REALLY careful attention, she looked like what Kwok would look like if he was born a girl...
"Ano..." she spoke aloud, even though no one was near her to hear her. "This feels familiar... feels like I've been here before..."
"But I still can't remember anything, ever since I woke up..."
Wiping the sweat off her forehead, she held a hand at her chest as she unknowingly walked, or rather, half-dragged her feet, towards the group, her breathing growing heavy and fast.
Shi turns around and watches the appraoching girl. or rather, watches her chest as she breathes heavily.
Sakura stared at the approaching girl, then turned to Ace, then back to the girl, then back to Ace again. Finally...
"WAI! It's a perfect LOVE LOVE MATCHUP!" Sakura squealed happily. "YOSH! I'll bring those two together no matter how many times I have to die trying!" Sakura declared... outloud for all to hear.

Sakura promptly walked over and kicked the *corpse*. "Oi Wake up Bloodspiller!" Sakura glared harshly and kicked again for good measure.

The girl weakly tried to crawl away from the maniacal Sakura.
"Osaeru onegai..." she said weakly.
OOC: I think it should mean "please stop" or "stop please", if the Japanese-English dictionary I have is correct ^_^;
Shi nodded to himself as he gave the girl a close look. "Indeed... could it be?" he mumbled to himself.
He dashed foward and knelt next to her, lifting her in his arms. "Cease kicking her, spirit. I've taken a liking to her."
He tried his best to pose bishounenly in a subtle fashion without being obvious. He was slightly hindered by the girl in his arms, but he thought the wind in his hair (that he summoned, bu nevermind that) was a nice touch.
The girl looked up at Shi.
"Arigatou... but... who are you?"
He looks scary...
"Shi... I'd look out if I were you." Ryder warned as he stood up from his nap...
At that moment, a kitchen sink that was blown by Shi's wind smacked into his head...
"Whoops..."
Sakura continued giggling insanely as she rocked from side to side clutching her stomach. Stumbling to her feet she stumbled forward and onward right off a cliff.
"Oh fooey." Sakura's voice was nonchalant as she fell towards the reef below. As her body struck it dissipated into nothingness.
Five seconds later...
"HI! HI! Did ya miss me?!" Sakura exclaimed happily as she walked up in body number three. "I couldn't find enough Pyreflies this time so I decided to go with a ten year old body!" Sakura smiled brightly and glomped the new girl.
"WAI! It's my new Mommy!" Sakura than looked over at Shi. "Oh and Daddy's here too!"

The girl blushed a glowing, excellently bright shade of red.
"M-mommy?!" she cried in surprise.
Shi tilted his head with the impact. "That was... decidedly odd." The sink hit the ground with a thud after having bounced off.
He looked down at the girl in his arms. "Ignore her, she's a ghost who won't go away. She has a crush on my brother. Harmless, but weird. As to your question, I am... Shi."
The girl looked visibly frightened. The man currently holding her just took a kitchen sink to the head and he was barely fazed. And to top it off, he said he's Death.
"Ano... would you mind putting me down?"
Ryder kept a close eye on Shi, as a strang buzzing began in his pocket...
"Eh? What could that be?" Ryder said as he pulled out his pocket Yamiko's watch...
Sakura taunted in a a sing song tone as she skipped around the embracing pair.

Ace didn't know whether to walk away right then and there and salvage what life he used to have or run screaming like a madman. This wasn't right. This was like some fucked up nightmare. the last thing he would ever have expected was to see Shi try and woo some weird, anemic, frail-as-glass chick. Ace thought he was more into girls that could take some punishment, considering just how violent he was.
Ace knocked Sakura on the head.
"Whadday think you're doing?" He asked her.

The black robed man looked down at Yamiko for a moment. What was that damn ritual he was going to do on her? He started praying to Sin to give him the answers.
Sakura skipped merrily over to Ace. "Don't worry! I'll be old enough again soon!" Sakura chirped happily before skipping down the road.

"Yamiko, that girl from earlier?" Ryder asks, ignoring the commotion between Keiko and Shi...
"Yes, I suppose she met you... The somewhat ditzy girl. You have her communicator, so, what did you do with her?" Keril demanded.
Shaking his head, Ryder answered, "I only found this thing lying around... I don't know what happened to her."
"What about your friends, perhaps they know!" Keril responded, while manually turning up the frequency of the speaker so that everyone could hear it... and cause them a major headache in the process...
"AAAIIIIIEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!" Keiko screamed as she covered her ears. "Too loud!!"
Before she could say "turn it down", she collapsed as she sank to her knees, trying to shut out as much of the noise as she could.

Ace covered his ears and glared at the watch.
"Ryder, can you break that damn thing? I-" He paused and looked around. "Where DID Yamiko go? Or Angela, for that matter?"
Ryder put the annoying watch on the ground, and was about to smash the watch into bits with his Rickenbacker, when an electrical surge shot through the air...
"Well, if you're not going to cooperate here... perhaps I will get better answers in person!" Keril announces... as the surge moves through all everyone.
With a great flash of light, the party disappered with a scream...

IC: The room was...fairly barren. Yeah, there was a large sized TV screen, some musical instruments, and a few doors, but not much else. The room was really big too. You could probably fit an entire basketball court there. The guy, Keril, was sitting at his throne and there was a cord hanging from the ceiling beside him.
"Now, I will ask you again. Where is Yamiko?"
Keiko looked visibly startled, almost shaken, as she heard what Ace said. She knew for sure that she doesn't know an Angela, yet the name conjures up a strange feeling in her heart.
It was like deja vu, except it felt more real. If she didn't know what she knew, she could've sworn that she knew Angela.
It was like a vivid fragment of memory, yet also seemed like nothing but a figment of imagination. Real, yet not.
One thing she could tell for sure from the vague feeling though, was that if Angela did exist and if she did know Angela, she was very important to her.
Shaking her head to clear her train of thought, she glanced around the room after they arrived.
"Ano..." she asked no one in particular. "Where are we?"
[Gafgarion is a guy from FF Tatics, Ace. Really cool dark knight.]
"Kidnapped by a guy who REALLY doesn't have clue how not smart that was. By the way, I'm Ryuu. Ryuu Kaze. I'm... just soem guy, ya know?"
Shi had decided NOT to introduce himself using his title again. It tended to give a bad impression.
"Ahem..." Keril softly attempted to gather the group's attention. When that didn't work, he pulled out a massive megaphone and shouted, "YO!!!!!!!"
After spending some time to readjust his ears, Ryder asked, "Where the hell are we?"
Keril grinned an all-knowing smile and replied, "You are in the secret underground lair of the super-secret idiological organization known as BESIDE... As I said earlier, my best agent was following the group of you, and she's gone missing. Now, you obviously are the biggest suspects... So, why don't you fess up and tell me the truth."
"How much do you pay your best agent anyways? Your secret underground lair looks a bit...empty," Ace remarked dryly after the buzzing sound in his ears left.
He turned to Shi. "Ok, I'll bite. Who's that chick on the ground anyways? I was afraid to ask before, but since she's stuck with us for the time being..."
Sakura leaned against the far right hand wall with her arms crossed and her head bowed. After several minutes her eyes slowly closed and her body slid to the ground as sleep claimed her.

IC: Keiko looked at the fleeing Ace and Ryder, and shakily followed behind.
"Ano..." she spoke up in a soft, airy voice. "Where are we going...?"
"C'mon, woman!" He called out. "Before mr. Evil idiot over there wakes up! Don't ask stupid questions."
"Don't call me that..." Keiko frowned.
"Call you what, woman?"
"That..." Keiko frowned again.
"You aren't making yourself clear, woman. What's 'that'?" He called out.
"Don't call me 'woman'!" Keiko screamed, her face red.
"Well, then, what's your freakin name?!" He yelled back.
Keiko opened her mouth, but only ended up coughing.
"Keiko..." she said coarsely as she tried to catch up.
"God, wo-I mean Keiko, don't be such a pain," He growled.
He stopped, ran back, scooped her up and threw her over his shoulder, and resumed running with Ryder.
"Hey!" Keiko squealed and smacked Ace on the shoulder several times. "Let me go, you kidnapping hentai!"
"I swear if you don't shut your trap I really WILL grope you!"
Keiko's face flushed red as she hmmph'ed in indignition, but not saying a word for fear that Ace might make good on his threat.
"Keiko...why are you so freakin heavy?" Ace asked, shifting her to his other shoulder.
Ryder continued running, ignoring the banter between Ace and Keiko, because frankly, it didn't matter. Nothing did on Spira actually...
"Guys, stop arguing or else he'll wake up..." Ryder commanded a little forcefully.
"Ano..." Keiko puzzled. "Who'll wake up?"
"Anyone who might hear us, you ninny," He answered.
Finally, the group saw daylight ahead of them... Which put a grin on Ryder's face, as he could get away from these two.
IC: "Whatcha got that goofy grin on your face for, Ryder? You're thinking dirty thoughts of Kwok right now, aren't you?" Order snickered, smirking.
