Just mentioning...I am gonna be swimming in copies of this.  Will likely be handing several out.  Looking forward to some co-op play :)

River City was an old school Arcade-style Beat 'Em Up, so I'd figure it's more of the same. There was a kickstarter to remake it or something? I feel like there was something in the kickstarter thread on Otik's.

*checks google* Huh, looks like this IS that kickstarter game I half remembered, actually. =)

They are.  Will have a bunch of drm-free stuff later, but only steam for now.

Hit me up when you get the non-steam stuff, yeah.

Wow this game looks awesome! I wonder how co-op gonna work and if it's gonna be playable. But hell... 20 Euro for this game is a little bit too much I think :|

Out of keys at this point and guess the intro price has dropped off.

They finally patched multiplayer, but I given the current 'Patch almost every day' trend, I dunno if I'd say it isn't a good idea to wait a little longer.  It's definitely playable now and I had fun last night playing it for a couple hours, but balance keeps being changed regularly so it might be worth letting it settle out for folks.

1) Cops suck.  Really, not doing a cop triggering action makes the game a lot better, but frankly they are the no-reward giving GTA addition to RCR that nobody ever asked for.
2) Gimme a breath of air.  Like the enemy flood is constant outside of hangouts.  New gang piles will pour in before the previous one is even done getting killed.

Had a look at the vid and the game looks really fun. Thinking about getting myself a copy. Anyone care to comment if its as fun as it looks?

Eh, it is and isn't.

Chapter 1 escalates a little quick and can catch people off guard but is good co-op classic fare.  Chapter 2 is plenty of co-op fun that starts getting fragile at the end with some bad platforming, bad area detection, and lots of bullets.  Chapter 3 ...completely gets lost in zombie horror and falls apart.

I don't regret the buy, and wouldn't mind pounding faces more with it.  Lots of good moves, but the endgame is pretty draining rather than fun and basically by the time you have a good full variety of moves is precisely when the game decides to fall apart utterly rather than getting to really break loose.

They did a pretty good job with multiplayer which clicked easily and played well together.  It's a good river city ransom with kind of a horrible endgame.
